Hi, I'm Ruben Martinez, hair artist and international educator for Donna Bella, hair extensions. Today, I'm here to share with you some tips that are going to help you remove the CareLink extensions without causing any damage to your clients, hair. We want to show you the proper way on how to remove them. So before we get started with our demo, I want to introduce you to everything that we're going to be using in that removal process. So first thing we're going to use is our hair extension tool. This is known as Donna Bella's luxe tool, and this is going to help break down that bond before and after you utilize your solution. So speaking of solution, this is your alcohol-based solution or bond remover you're, going to put this all over the bond and then once again, you're gon na use your luxe tool to break that down and help release that extension. Okay, after that you're going to use a rat tail comb, this is going to help extract any residue. That'S left over on that hair strand. Of course, I'm always gon na use. My quick pick because it's my handy dandy partner, that's always gon na help. Me save time on my extension process. So, let's get started, let's see how we do this so when you're gon na remove this it's as simple as grabbing the hair extension taking your luxe tool and you want to utilize the grooved part of the tool, this area right here so before I use any Solution, I'm gon na come through and just go and press that's all. I'M doing I press it flats all the flat all the way down. I turn this this direction and now I'm gon na press that flap again, okay, so you're kind of breaking up that bond. This is going to allow your solution to kind of get inside of that and help break that bond up even more so you put a couple drops of the solution on that bond and you go through and simply just press again now, I'm not pulling on the Clients, hair whatsoever - all I'm doing - is pressing this bond flap. Some people will start going through there and yanking on this strand. That'S where you're gon na start getting like some damage or stress to your clients hair. So all you want to do is once again just press just press and kind of release that bond from the clients hair. So then, at that point you can give it a slight tug and if it doesn't want to come out, you can go through and press some more now. Sometimes, if you have a big bond - or I should say a full bond that you're working with it may take a little bit more solution, remember don't stress and don't pull on that hair. All you have to do is apply more solution so by working that through pressing it out. All I do is give it a slight tug and there it comes beautiful, so you want to get rid of any excess now if you still have a little bit of bond on that hair strand, you don't want to just comb through that right away, because you Don'T want it, you don't know exactly what it's held onto so, if you're gon na have a bond up in here, you want to go through and start pulling out section by section, just like this at that root area. So whatever is connect to the scalp. Still can stay connected to the scalp so that way, you're not ripping out any of your clients, hair whatsoever.
