Oh, yes, oh would you look at that? Oh hello, jennifer, anderson and friends, 16 year old me will be dying. Hello, kate, middleton, i'm coming to the palace. Yep obsessed welcome to beauty lab at home, where we've been busy testing the latest skincare, haircare and makeup so make sure you subscribe. So you don't miss out this week really exciting. I feel like i'm excited every week, but this week is particularly exciting because we are testing the new ghd rise volumizing hot brush. This is our first smart volumizing hot brush for instant and effortless 3d volume, and apparently it gives two times more volume from root to tip it heats up to 185 degrees celsius. And apparently it's super lightweight and it's supposed to give you more volume at the roots. But can also be used to give you like a wavy finish if you want jhc have a lot to live up to because their last hot brush, the ghc glide literally broke the internet like it sold out within like seconds. So i have very very high hopes for this um, no pun intended. You want to see what it looks like. Ah, here she is, you can see it's got these like little bristles along the sides and i guess that's to make sure it doesn't tangle as you're using it. So my first immediate fault, taken out of the box, is that it's so light. It'S super lightweight, looks about the same size as the ghd curve, and so i'm going to turn it on and wait for it to heat up now. Oh, that was a cute little b. So what i think you have to do is take like a section of hair and then i believe you like push it underneath and then like roll it down like a brush and then like wrap it. I guess like wrap it back up again, it does say, hold it five to eight seconds, i'm gon na hold it on and see how it looks when i take it out. So then, apparently, just twist it back out, but it kind of looks like i've had like a bouncy blow-dry on that one section of hair, so i'm guessing, i just brushed my hair with it. Oh you could tell oh hello, jennifer, amazon and friends. Okay, there. I was like it's not gon na. Do anything hello, i'm just gon na use this as like a straightener. If that makes sense, so i'm just gon na do the bottom bit! First! Oh, yes, oh, would you look at that? Okay, i feel like you, can definitely see that it's like lifted there, which is good. You can kind of see the difference. This side is quite a bit flatter than this side. Let'S try and flick a few bits out hello! Oh i'm into this. I am into this 16 year old me would be dying, hello, kate, middleton, i'm into it. Now. How nice is that? Oh, my god, i'm coming to the palace. This guy is incredible and it's not like blowing heat through. You know how hot brushes blow heat through. That'S not doing it. You can create a nice like little like 90s curl, yep obsessed, okay, so my final thoughts on the ghd rise are that it did take me a little bit of getting used to, but i definitely think it's made my hair look thicker and more volumized, which is Obviously great my hair is quite fine and i do find that, because it's a bit longer, it does tend to fall quite flat at the roots. So it's nice to have a tool. That'S actually designed just to lift the roots up a bit and give the illusion of like thicker like more volumized hair in terms of the tool itself. It'S good having these teeth because it does actually cling onto the hair, meaning you don't have to kind of hold. Your hand up, like you, do with a curling tong but yeah overall, i am quite impressed with it. I think it's done what it said. It'S given my hair, more volume and even though it's a bit fiddly to use, but it does work if you can get it right, i'm so impressed it's obviously pricey. But i'd really say this has given me like a dry effect. I feel like um. If you have the budget, you should go for this because i know throughout the years i've spent a lot of money on cheaper tools trying to get like a blow dry effect as someone that can't blow dry their hair - and this has just done it in one And like that was so easy to use um, i absolutely love it and cannot recommend it. Now, i'm really impressed - and i genuinely think i'm going to use this like continue to use it. It'S quite easy to use if you're used to using a tong or a wand or anything like that, um, obviously because of ghd's technology like you know, it stays hot the whole way through and it's 185 degrees, so yeah. I definitely will be using this together and would recommend it for sure um if you're looking to straighten thicker hair thanks so much for watching beauty lab at home. laurinha: I just purchased this and it's HORRIBLE!!! It's SUCH a disappointment! I have so many other GHD products and this one totally missed the mark! My hair got knotted and caught in between the bristled and nearly had to cut it out of the want to salvage it. If you have FINE hair--keep it moving

Karina Serrano Vargas: Thank you for the review !

Paula Franchitti Anderson: Does anyone find that this tool pulls hair out?

ross: Well....where is the volume?
