Dyson Supersonic Wide Tooth Comb Attachment Does It Work?

Do you guys see a difference? I don't know i can't tell do you see a difference, hello, beautiful in today's video i'm going to be reviewing and trying out the dyson wide tooth comb attachment in this video i'm going to be demonstrating the product on my hair. One side of my hair is going to be featuring the wide tooth comb attachment and the other side is just going to be a regular blow dryer. So you guys are going to see the difference. We'Re first going to go into the wide tooth comb attachment specifications. Then i'm going to show you a demonstration of the comb attachment compared to just a regular blow dryer and then last but not least, i'm going to share my personal reviews with you on what i think about the wide tooth comb attachment. Alright, let's go get into this video all right, so i'm gon na go ahead and pull up the website, and this is what says on the dyson website. This is the wide tooth comb attachment and um. It'S also kind of called like the afro comb. I'M seeing online it's a pretty popular name for it, so on the website it says that this is engineered for curly and textured hair. Excuse me, the new wide tooth comb attachment has robust teeth to help lengthen hair as it dries or creates volume and shape. Now, let's see this retails for forty dollars a bit pricey, you also get one year warranty and that's pretty much all it says about the wide tooth comb it comes in the color black art comes in the color iron cool yeah. That'S literally all it says on the dyson website, so let's go ahead and try out the blow dryer all right. So, on one side of my hair, i'm going to be using the wide tooth comb and then, on the other side of my hair, i'm not going to use by the way the dyson cord is pretty outrageous. It'S pretty much like a vacuum cleaner, which makes sense because of everything that's going on with this, but just be aware, so i'm gon na first prep and prime my hair with this dry bar prepping prime detangler, so i'm not gon na. Do this the hard way? The hard way is just me going in with the wide tooth comb, but it does not it's not friendly on the tingle, so i'm gon na detangle my hair beforehand. I really like this detangler by the way from dry bars mix, really helps to detangle my hair. A lot all right, so this is how i use it. I just go in like a brush. Obviously you could section it, but i find that i get a pretty good result, just brushing it. So, let's go ahead, i'm going to turn it on to the i'll. Just put it on the highest heat just for the sake of this video, so just be careful when you do turn it on to the highest heat setting. It does get really hot because you are putting it so close to your head. So it's probably better to do lower heat setting, but i just want to see the results that i get with the highest, so um we're at two minutes now it's pretty much dry at this point, yeah very hot and very dry. So i feel like i could finish here - um and we'll talk about we'll talk about this in a second, but i'm gon na go ahead and go in just one more time, just to make sure uh everything is properly dry. Honestly, it it's everything is pretty dry, but i'm just gon na go in it more going more, maybe it'll straighten it out even more and then um yeah, but we are at like two minutes. I think, just with me blow drying my hair. It'S been about two to three minutes, and this is the result. Honestly, i feel like i want to cry. This is just this is crazy. It feels very smooth. It honestly feels like i just straightened it and uh so yeah. You can see back here, there's like a little bit of a wave in the middle, but on top it's flat, here's what the bottom looks like, especially at the top it's so flat um, i just all i did was i used head and shoulder shampoo. I used conditioner, i didn't even use a deep, deep hair conditioner. I didn't use any special products on my hair for it to get like this, and my hair hasn't been relaxed since 2018. So that's two years now, since i last relaxed my hair - and this is what i'm getting that's, why i said it makes me want to cry, because it's very difficult to get my hair to look like this, especially when i'm not i haven't relaxed my hair or When i haven't put in any special products, so it's safe to say that i really do love this wide tooth comb, all right, so uh! I really don't want to do this, but i'm gon na go in on the right side, with a regular blow dryer and um. I'M not going to put this side back because, if i like put it in a bun or whatever it's going to smooth it out more, so i'm just going to leave it like this, and hopefully it won't interfere too much. So this is how i used to do my hair mind you. This is not the worst hair dryer. This is actually one of the better hair dryers. My mom actually gave it to me because she didn't like how it was making her hair straight, but yeah. It'S it's definitely one of the better ones um, but it's it's not the dyson, but i don't think it's that expensive. I don't even know where she got it from, but um yeah and it pretty much like - has a smoothing nozzle on it. So that definitely helps so. This is a revlon, ionic terminal ceramic yeah. This is my revlon dryer again it is a better dryer. It does smooth it out just a little bit, but i'm sure we're not gon na get the same results she's still a little damp in the back. The top is pretty much dry over here wow. I just dug my hair. I hate these hair clips. They always snag my hair um. Do you guys see a difference? I don't know i can't tell do you see a difference, let's keep going, let's go ahead and compare the two i'm so glad i did this video it just my appreciation for this hair dryer just went up so so much. Oh, my gosh, i i forgot. I was working with this, i want to say it's like not the biggest difference in the world, but at the same time it kind of is so the dyson. As you could see, it's so much silkier. Looking it's now. It looks longer so we have a shine, which i don't even know how it's giving me that shine. Like i said, i didn't put any special treatments in my hair and it just made it straight and it made it wearable if i'm in an emergency in an emergency. But realistically i mean this is for girls who love to keep their hair straight. So if i need to do this, i just it took me two minutes, you know and i've got my hair straight and i'm ready to go like. I really could just have my hair like this. I think if my hair gets a little bit longer, i probably would just rock this. I think this would be awesome when say, for example, i'm i have children and i don't want to put a lot of time in my hair i'll. Do this. I feel totally comfortable with it. However, on this side i don't feel as comfortable. Luckily, the top is still flat, so it's still wearable on my bangs, because i straighten my hair so much my bangs stay straight a little bit but like just look at this like it's kind of cute in a way now that i think about it, but there's Just a lot of like it's frizzy, look at that look at all this frizz um. It'S straight got volume at the end. I think, honestly, if this side was silkier, looking like this side, it might be okay, but just this like bush thing here like what what are we doing, you know that's what i feel like. Maybe it feels longer, my hair is longer it'd, be okay, um compared to this side. Now, let's, let's brush both sides out and see what they look like this one. This side is also more tingly too. Oh, probably because i was on the other side, i'm really trying to smooth it out this one's. Also more flowy, like i can even add, like a little bit of a wave in there, and this one is just like um, i'm not changing my shape a little bit um and just the way that both sides feel this one feels so much nicer than this Yeah, so i feel like volume wise, there's, not a huge, huge difference, but the way that it looks the way that it feels how shiny it is is a lot better. This is all this side is also going to be so much easier and uh. So much less time consuming to straighten out than this side of my hair so like, for example, if i have to section my hair i'll, probably have to do like three to five sections of this hair, whereas this one, i would do about three sections of my Hair to straighten it out, that's crazy, i don't know. Let me know what you guys think in the comments, but i think i think it's a huge difference. I just feel like i look a lot more presentable on this side, even though, like i said i just i kind of feel like this is cute. I used to be a little embarrassed about wearing having my hair like this, but it's not bad anyways. I think that's it. Let me know in the comments below which side. Do you guys like better? Yeah, let me know all i know is that after this i have to straighten my hair and i'm going to be so much happier, uh straightening this part of my hair than this part. And lastly, i would definitely rock my hair like this, but i don't know about this way. Like i said it's, not the volume and the poof so much it's just this like dry dry. Look that i'm getting! I mean the ends, look really bad. These ends. Don'T really look that bad they're kind of just hanging on me. These ones are like all right now that we are done with the presentation. Let'S go into, why i love this wide tooth comb. I think you guys can already tell why i love it. It pretty much does what it claims to do now. I will tell you a story when i first got this and i tried it, it didn't give me the results that i have today, i'm not sure what it was, or maybe i was combing my hair differently. Maybe i didn't have it on a high heat setting, i'm not sure, but when i first tried it, i was a little bit disappointed just because i felt like it was very similar to the smoothing nozzle that the dyson already comes with. However, when i used it on the third time, that's when i saw really good results like i said i don't know how it happened. I don't know what happened, but now, i'm at a point where i love this tool. It smooths out your hair just a little bit more than the smoothing concentrator, i would say, probably by like 20 to 30, which isn't huge. So this is not something you can get. You can still be satisfied with the smoothing concentrator that it comes with. It is 40, so that's pricey, but i just don't want to return it because that 20 to 30, although it's very small for me, it makes a big difference, especially because i do straighten my hair right after so it's pretty much like the flattest. I can get my hair, the straightest that i can get my hair, the smoothest that i can get my hair the better. So i'm just like willing to go that twenty thirty percent um. But if i think if i had seen a review beforehand, maybe i would have not gotten it, but i'm happy that i have it. I i don't know i like it, and it's also more handy because compared to the smoothing concentrator this one, you can comb as you're doing your hair as opposed to having like a brush and this blow dryer together. At the same time, that's pretty much all i have to say i there's really not anything else. I could say about this. Forty dollars is a bit pricey, i'm a little bit mad about that, because the dyson hair dryer was already so expensive, but considering that it gets your hair, so straight almost like you're using a flat iron. You can kind of say it's a little bit like a flat iron and a hair dryer in one. So i don't know um, it is pricey, but i think in a way it is worth it if not just continue to use the smoothing concentrator that it comes with um yeah, very short review.
