Ariana Grande Inspired Ponytail (with extensions)

Hi beauties! This week we are starting a new segment on the Hair channel where we collaborate with other youtubers who love wearing Hair extensions. We are very excited to introduce the gorgeous Christen Dominique (check out her channel here). In this video, Christen shares her technique on how to create a beautiful & voluminous ponytail using hair extensions, as well as her trick on how to hide the clips and make the hairstyle look more natural. Christen is wearing her Dirty Blonde Luxies to add extra thickness to her hair.

How to do an Ariana Grande inspired ponytail

Step 1

Gather two hair ties and some bobby pins. Then, brush all your hair so it is smooth and tangle-free.

Step 2

Section off your hair in a circle at the crown of your head, tightening it as much as possible to create fullness at the roots.

Step 3

Take a 3-clip weft and wrap it around the ponytail, clipping it at the base of the ponytail. Wrap another 3-clip weft around the first one.

Step 4

Next, do the same with the 2-clip wefts. At this point, the wrapped around wefts may look quite messy, but that's fine! It will all be covered up by the rest of your hair.

Step 5

Now, gather all your hair into a ponytail over the smaller ponytail, covering all the wrapped around wefts, and secure with an elastic. 

Step 6

To complete the look, take a strand of hair from the ponytail and wrap it around the base of the ponytail to cover the elastic. Secure underneath the ponytail with a bobby pin to hide it, and you're done!
