Hey guys welcome back to my channel today's video is going to be a hair tutorial. I'Ve done a look similar to this before, but not the way, I'm doing it today. I have learned so many tips and tricks from celebrity hairstylist like Jen Atkin and things that JLo does to hide extensions and all these things that I'm learning it's so interesting to me and I've always curious to see how people hide their short hair. With long extensions and really I'm gon na show you how I install the hair and also do the hairstyle for you, so if you have long hair already, you could do it exactly the same. Just without the extensions I do the curling and everything. So let's go ahead and get started: let's go boom first off. What we're gon na do is transform the length of our hair without having my short pieces, stick out and then also putting up half your hair with extensions gives you less real estate on your head to clip in extensions to add fullness at the bottom. Let me grab my leave it's over here. These are from the hair shop. I just really like their web, sorry thin and they have a bunch of different colors. If you have short hair, you know that when you clip in an extension you have like, you always want to prevent these like little short hairs from sticking out on your neck like this, this is the trick. Take the very very nape of the neck hair, just like the bottom, the last piece of your hair and I'm gon na put it up with a hair clip the rest of my hair. Take a 3 clip weft. Instead of clipping your hair, like you, would normally clip it like you know, you would clip it this way right. We'Re gon na clip it upside down, say this is the nape of my neck in the back. I'M clipping it like this and I'll. Show you why you can tease it if you want you should, if your hair is really silky, I'm just grabbing the hair and clipping the clips upside down along the nape of my neck. I usually turn my head upside down for this. It'S a little bit easier to do it that way, but because I'm trying to show you guys, I'm over here, just doing it like this. So basically, this bottom clip is gon na serve as the base for all the short hairs to lay on top of. So when you are like this now, instead of the short hair being under this clip and popping through and being annoying, this is going to be. The first piece of hair lays on your neck, so the short hair is not going to show it, and that is the best tip that I've ever gotten, because I cannot stand having those short hairs poked through you can always keep clipping normal wefts. All the way to about here on your head, if that's what you have at home, but this is something that I've been doing as of recent and it makes my hair process so much faster. This is called a fall. This is also from the hair shop. Instead of clipping all the wefts, you just put your hair in a flat bun in the back of your head, and you click this over the flat bun and it's like saves the most time ever. So what I typically do is I like give a rough part of how I'm gon na be parting, the top of my head for this like little half pony, okay and then I'll just clip it up. It doesn't have to be perfect just so. You get an estimate of how far you can bring your extensions up boom. There we go now. You have just one clip at the bottom and all of this blunt hair that is really hard to blend with normal extensions after we clip in your extensions or your fall, whatever you're clipping in you always want a layer of hair on the top to cover the Track, I'm also going to part out a thin layer just so that it could cover everything after I'm done at the very top. So this is another hair part that we're doing here. My card is never perfect. I cannot see what I'm doing back here. It is what it is, but that's fine. It doesn't have to be perfect, so I'm gon na take that I'm a clip that into this too. This is such an easy, hairstyle and so great when you have dirty hair. Ok, so now I've gathered all my short hair in a little ponytail. What you want to do is try to make the flattest bun that you could possibly make so you're, just gon na start making a flat to the head, but not a tight. Like top not tight, bun, just wrapping it and flattening it to your head and then Bobby pinning it boom, and it doesn't have to look for you we're gon na cover it just try to get it flat. That'S good all right feeling pretty good about that. So what we're gon na do is around the bottom of the bun. We'Re gon na be clipping these to the head and then above the bun. This is going to go. There I mean usually the bun doesn't fit in here. Honestly, I just feel around and see where the best way I can clip it where it feels secure. The only part that you're gon na see from the front is this, which we set aside, that piece of hair to go over that. So it's gon na be fine. You have long hair, you know you can just skip this whole extension part and let in just do the hair tutorial part, but I got ta install some stuff. I don't got it like that. So here we go turning it around. Hooking it and clip it so there we go. You have a whole head of hair installed in two seconds ish. What we're gon na do now is take down the rest of my hair. I know I have enough hair to cover and I know I have enough here to go in the ponytail. I'M gon na go ahead and do the rough part here, so that's covering this edge. That'S I'm covering that edge. It'S pretty good over here, yep yep! If you have shorter hair than mine - and you still have a blunt hair up here - you could always curl it into the long hairs or you could even add one more clip at the top. If you need it. Okay, so now I've basically sectioned off my top and what I'm gon na do is section off the bottom. We don't need this in our way now, so I'm gon na take the clip out of here and just clip all of my hair back here. This is another tip I have learned while getting my hair done. I know that like JLo, does this a lot of celebrities do this? This is like, when I say celebrities, I mean their hair stylist hook their hair up like this, and what you want to do is take this front part of your hair down and clip in an extension the way that you're putting your hair up so in the Direction that you're going to be brushing your hair up. That'S the way you want to clip in the hair, so I'm just clipping it along this part here and, if you're afraid that the light root is gon na show get a little Rita hose on spray. This is a dark brown. It'S a root, touch-up spray! You just hide that boom gone. I don't know it's hard to see. You know okay and then you're gon na flip, the hair back. I also want one like under because that one track isn't gon na. Be enough, so these are two clip wefts so know this is so hard to do on camera. Oh, please flipping my hair upside down. I'M gon na section off a piece to cover it. Okay, you're gon na be brushing your hair that way so you're gon na want to clip in the hair. So it goes up instead of usually would clip it back right. But no now we've gathered all the hair and look at it looks just as long as the back, which is what we want. There'S no bulk around the base of the ponytail, because before I used to clip in my extensions around and around the ponytail and then when I put it up, I felt like it was a little bit bulky and also a lot of weight in one area of The head this way all the hair falls in the direction is supposed to so it lays flat and it looks really natural. This is such a good tip for extensions now to slick all of this mess up, because right now it looks a little messy. We want to make it look nice and sleek. This is the igk coconut oil gel. It'S just gon na tame the baby hairs a little bit nice little jelly. So I'm taking some on my hands. I'M just gon na start pulling those baby hairs back. We got a team own these ones, especially by the ears. I got some handlebars over here and then it's really important to have a brush. This brush is from the beach waver and it's just like one of those slicking brushes. Has those dense bristles. That'S! What'S gon na slick, the hair back? Oh so now that we have it slicked down we're gon na gather it all on a ponytail, you could do it centered or the other day. I kind of put it more to an angle like Beyonce, and then you just tie it in your little hair tie the tighter you tie it the more it snatches your face back. You can go ahead and unclip this bottom part. Now we can take some of that curl gently just like a tiny amount, really slicked back the baby hairs or pull them forward, and then you can get a take a tooth brush. Just do some detail work on these baby hairs. Now we want to really hide the hair band. I feel like it just looks cleaner when you do that, so I'm taking a hair from the back of the top ponytail tiny little piece and just wrapping it around. I have a little bit of that. Coconut gel left over on my fingers, so it's slicking this piece down as we go and then you just want to bobby, pin it back now we have the hard part the Wizardry the hair is installed. What we want to do now is add a little curl. This is gon na help blend our short hairs with our longer hair. So I usually especially with the top pieces. I take one piece of my short hair and one piece of the long installed: hair, okay and I'm gon na be using this t3 wand. This gets extra hot, so I like that, because I can kind of just wrap it around the wand really quickly and release. Do you see that it's so fast like one second of heat and it's just like on and poppin, so I'm just gon na keep doing the same thing. The pieces I'm taking are pretty small, this one's actually thicker than the first two that I picked up. You do want to alternate the sizes, but not by much like I don't want big chunks of curls. I actually just pick up random pieces. I don't even section it off. I just go through really quickly and if I miss a spot, it's fine, because my hair is previously curled, which is great about having a fall or extensions because you're, obviously not washing them. After every single use, I've only curled a few pieces and that took like two seconds and there's so much more texture and fluffiness going on on this side. This side looks a little limp. Now we got ta, we got ta liven it up a little bit. Here. Sorry, if I seem a little off in this video, I probably shouldn't have uploaded my last video. While I was filming this one, because I have a lot of anxiety about it now, I will link it in the description box if you guys haven't seen it. So you really just keep repeating this if you want more of like a curly hair texture, instead of this texture that I'm giving, if you want something more organic, you can always switch the directions of the curls so right now, every curl I'm doing is away from My face, but if you do one away one towards one away when towards that's gon na give you like a more organic look to the whole hair overall. So for me, and I've kind of done a hairstyle like this before my channel. But I wanted to film this to show you guys all the new tips and tricks to putting your hair up with extensions and then also this fall, because I feel like that's just so interesting to me. I'Ve learned so many things from celebrity hair, stylists and how things are done, the wizardry, the trickery and I'm so fascinated by it. So I just wanted to share that with you guys, cuz. That was really the number one question I got when I put the picture up with this is like: how do you make your hair? Look like that with short hair and the extensions don't show? No, you know this. Hairstyle always reminds me of like Selena instantly. You know, but also like just being a little girl and having this hairstyle I feel like. I got a good amount of texture here, sometimes I'll pick up parts of the hair. If I want it to be bigger and tease it back a little judging, this is actually a tangle teezer brush. Alright, so I feel pretty good about this. I'M liking this texture. I feel like it's fluffy enough. It'S like super long. I also like keeping this to one side too cuz. That really throws me back to like being a little girl. Well, I kind of copied Beyonce on that one in her video. She has it like to the side, and I thought it looked so cute. So that's kind of what I'm vibing with right. Now this is the finished hair. Look. I really hope that you guys enjoyed it.
