Hey everyone, I'm Kelly Educator with Kenra Professional.. Today, I'm going to create a simple deconstructed-up style using clips-in extensions.. To prepare this canvas. I have shampooed conditioned and rough-dried Volume Mousse Extra into the hair. I've rough-dried the hair to maintain as much natural texture and body as possible.. I will be using clip-in extensions in this look to add extra fullness and a little bit of extra length. Before I start. Creating the style I am first going to want to add the clip-in extensions.. I have prepared my clip-ins by generously applying the Volumizing Spray Clay throughout the hair. Brand. New extensions are typically super shiny and very silky -- Volumizing Spray Clay is a great product to slightly dull the sheen of the extensions and adds a bit of extra grit and grip to the hair.. So it's easier to manipulate when selecting extension, hair for your style clients, especially clip-ins., It's important for the color to be within a level or two of the hair color that you are working with and also the same. Tone. Donna Bella has a wonderful selection of extension. Hair. I like to begin placing my widest clip-ins first starting in the nape.. I am placing the four clip clip ends before I clip the hair into place. I'M applying the Volumizing Spray Clay right at the scalp and giving a little backcomb to create a good foundation to clip the extension hair too. This is a great way to make sure that the extensions don't slip or move around.. I like to apply for the wider extensions in a v shape or at a diagonal for a better blend with the natural hair.. I am continuing to place the extensions from widest to most narrow, as I work up the head.. This may take a few times to get the placement to look most natural and blended to check to see if the extensions around the hairline are hidden, pull the hair back away from the face and see if the clip-in is covered with the natural hair, if not Adjust and check the coverage again.. Now that I have my clip-ins placed exactly where I want them, I can start building the foundation of this style.. First, I am going to start by creating a crown section to add extra texture and volume.. I am going to curl the section by wrapping the hair around a one-inch wand.. I am alternating the direction of the curls to get the maximum texture and a more natural deconstructed fee., I'm applying the volumizing powder right at the root. In this crown section for lots of volumes and a great base for backcombing., I like to use elastics to secure the crown section, so I can easily go back in and deconstruct this area.. I will work on the hair around the face last because I really want this hair to be perfect, since this is the area the client sees the most. Next, I will gather the hair in the nape section in a low ponytail and secure it with an elastic Right below the base of the crown section using the same one-inch wand, I'm going to create alternating curls in the ponytail for lots of texture and volume., I'm going to gather the ends of the ponytail and band with an elastic about 2 inches down from the ponytail.. This is going to make it super easy for me to roll this ponytail up into a bun., Now take the ponytail and give it a little twist using the Volumizing Spray Clay.. I am giving the twisted ponytail a nice coating of this product to help me deconstruct. This section before I roll it up into the bun. Now that I am happy with the way this section looks, I'm rolling it up around the base of the first elastics and pinning it into place.. Pro tip only add enough bobby pins to the bun that it won't move or drop. Don't go overboard quite yet --. If I add too many pins right away, it will be harder for me to adjust or fix anything down the road. Now time to complete this style by pinning the front section. With my one-inch wand, I am prepping both sections around the face by giving them a Little curl now., I'm grabbing the hair and giving this section a little twist while pulling it back and over the crown section and pinning that to the base, then I am repeating the same step on the opposite side.. I really like the way the curled ends from the front sections hang on each side of the bun, so I'm going to leave the sections to go.. I also love to leave hair around the face, especially with clients that have layers or bangs in this area.. I want this style to be very pc and deconstructed, so I'm taking some extra time to really detail and bring my vision to life.. To finish off this, look I'm using the Dry Oil Control Spray to lock everything into place and here's the finished product of my simple deconstructed style with extensions.. I love how simple and elegant this looks and how the extensions really help to build out body within the style. Thanks so much for watching and be sure to.
