My purpose within this channel is to bridge the gap between knowledge and understanding of coyly kinky and textured hair. I think that is important to educate and to have an understanding what products do and how to push those boundaries and create different options. For yourself, my key goal and making sure people understand that it's not that hard, it can be done easily and you just have to kind of incorporate it into your schedule and maintaining health to the hair, hair and options and some new techniques and styles that you Probably haven't played with yet, but I'm super excited talk to me a little bit about what you deal with as far as diversity within styling and options that you have. As far as different looks that you go for as far as being natural is concerned, I don't have a lot of looks is either just this like the easiest go to like you just kind of like know what they're gon na turn out. Looking like oh cool, I never thought about like adding length or adding body and texture. I'Ve had okay, so like the traditional. So in situation is not okay. I love clip-ins they're user friendly. They help with adding length texture body. If you want to get color. It'S awesome talk to me a little bit about the ideas and the look that you want to try to go for when you're thinking of options. I want to know how I can work with my hair or an Atlantis okay know without having to like completely Street yeah, okay yeah. Well, I think a good way to do that is like finding the right extension finding the right texture that matches well with you. Finding something that you can do yourself, the definite like with the extension work. You really have to have home care and know what to do, but we're gon na do some extensions that I love so much it's about a company called heat free hair. He free hairs. A company that specializes in finding textures that match great with natural afro, textured hair. I think that that's normally the struggle when people kind of damage could they try so hard to blend. So, starting with the texture that matches you most, I think the results would be a lot easier. So, let's get started talking about what your routine is like like. What do you do as far as shampooing and conditioning with your daily steps? Well, I've been natural for a year now well in April, and so I'm still getting used to this so yeah right now. It'S just living condition over and out the door. Until I find I will first like the start resting it's so beautiful. I love it. You have gorgeous hair is bu, but it's okay, it's so good. I love it and what I like to also mention is that you know just embrace the texture embrace the phrase embrace it when it's like that bad hair day, because I feel, like people appreciate a one, its second, it's a raw most organic state so embracing it And living in that truth, I think, is the most beautiful thing that you could possibly do when it comes to natural area. Yeah, it's awesome. So what I'm gon na start off with the doing first is eliminating some of the bulk of the hair. It'S gon na help the application that's gon na help you with blending it's gon na, allow you to kind of like you got ta braid in I'm gon na do a braid, but at home you could do a flat twist. You can do a couple rubber bands or a plat like if that, whatever you need to do to remove that that bulk, that's the essential idea of what I'm trying to do. Okay, good, so that when I pop those clippings on I'm not worried about anything else, and also you want me to show you here is protected, so I'm gon na start off with Verna Francois. This is one of my favorite product brands for natural hair, and this is a great way to Norse the hair without a lot of work, and I like the application of it, it's easy, I'm just doing a nice light mist all over. Just to give you a little bit of hydration top with a little bit of tangles, this a purely pull moisture as I'm working through the hair. You never really want to just phoo dry hair, so I'm gon na section off your hair line, the first two inches just so that we can get a little bit of naturalness. You can see how much I left out. I'M gon na be that on both sides. So I've left out that front hairline and I'm gon na just click back away to just keep things nice, you organized, and these are just double prom clips. So at this point I'm establishing where I want the parts of you so I thought of okay. I want a side part, I think it'll be great to kind of see a sad, sweat situation with this thing will be gorgeous. So what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na use two fingers, as my rule of thumb, for the amount of levo I'm gon na use and I'm gon na go back as far back as I want the park to be, you can dictate where you want. The city, because also they're clipping and so you're not committed to one part you're not committed to one area of the hedge. You can kind of move in navigate around. I like that, you chose that side. This is this year of that is like no, it's not. Okay, but you know I'm trying to work in I've, never liked doing my hair. I just that relationship with my hair. I guess it started when, when I was you know when I was young, I was going to the salon every weekend, so I never learn how to do you? How to do my own hair. You know you would go to the salon, you sit down and you leave with good hair. So now I'm embracing it. Okay, I'm just getting older. I'M like finding myself, it's an it's a whole journey deeper than you probably even expect it. Yes, I have, but for me that relationship with the hair and the formula appreciation for your hair, it it speaks volumes because it allows you to see the worth. Am i putting in work in the morning and you get those results and yeah it's so gratifying right. It is yes like, oh, my god, Matz was talking about perfectly, so what I just did was a simple flat twist. I'M gon na probably do like six of these across the back, and this is what I mean by like putting in that work in that foundation, because when you take these out, that's a whole nother look. So I'm gon na grab a couple pens like some large ones, just to kind of pin up the tails of those. How do you take care of Anna? Just like any other question, so I'm taking care of these extensions aren't super easy, and I say that because you don't have to wash them nearly as you would normally wash your own hair because you are taking them off at night and they're not building up with A whole bunch of product and oil and when it is time to shampoo them, I would recommend using something super gentle in Southlake, free, Brennan, Francois co-wash is amazing and then conditioning it was something that's sought. A free and paraben free and lightweight. Just the exceptions don't feel weighing down braiding my hair for extensions and having that in for such a long time. It'S not my thing. So this is so exciting and then you feel like me very gentle, twisting I mean it should not feel I have a very sensitive scalp and I don't even feel you. Yes, I mean you should not feel like you're having a headache that is the wrong idea. Like I need to pop them out bill mm-hmm, and this this will take a little bit of practice to learn, but, like I said you could do, maybe all right so we're gon na start with the 24 inches, and I kind of like see what this looks Like so, each of the clippings are doubled and they're full, and that sheet covers a great space. Also, the snaps are really strongly Global. I'M having for them also is great because they kind of balance out the weight. You start with a small time, and these are prepped and air dried with no product, so I'm gon na start at the nape of the neck and just clip in the first shorty I'm gon na go on to our next row and now I'm clipping each clip On each twist, so it's not, you know pulling on the scalp or I got them feel too tight, and it also kind of like helps flatten the situation. Yes, so I'm gon na go in our next area and kind of sweep this back. This is a fourth prong one, and if one does it meet all the way over, it kind of overlap them. So if one is kind of like stopping in the center unit, take the next one all the way from the end and then wherever the last one, and did you just overlap right over top of it and, like I said, if you're doing a full head of These you need two bundles, absolutely two sets of clip ends, and this this point is literally about mapping and just feeling what needs to and where what's open. So now, I'm gon na start building out shape over here and trying to get it. If you turn your head that way, trying to get it as close to the edge as possible is most important. Okay, that first clip and now we have a couple pieces left. We just have to build in this section. So this is the last full-size keys. Okay and now, whether you're gon na fit in so I want you to fill in that area, yep perfect and this snapping club placing it right. There will give you that refinement as far as a little date. But now we have this little space and I'm just gon na put this flush against the part, and at this point where we have all of our pieces and and all we are left to do - is to blend these areas in so I'm gon na start with A little bit of moisture spray before I blow dry. This stretch I like to use boar bristle round brushes because they promote shine and they deliver a different level of smoothing without breaking or damaging the hair. So, just getting that that moisture spray in through there and then I'm also gon na use a little bit of one of my favorite trick. Scissors camera thermal spray, and I like to spray it one here before I blow dry, because that gives you a level of protection and then we do some flashlights on for our curl. It'S just one of those products that I just love take my time and just stretch it ever so slightly. You do this for believe out in your edges: let's fracture the little teeth today, so I'm going to take those last two pieces and I split one half of your leave out in half and then I'm just going to put this in the middle of it. So what that's gon na do that's gon na help blend the hairline, I'm gon na leave it a little bit more kinky in bra and let the true texture kind of shows through that also adds the believable. This and you know, you're not gon na, have to be afraid of your hair, reverting in the front because you have all of this texture and it's a difference, you're telling a different story. Oh my gosh, I feel like I'll, be putting these on everything every day. It'S almost it's a very addictive because you realize, like I can really switch out. I thought this was gon na be so hard. We tried to get that as close as possible with that that a lot for a nice easy transition and smoothness now I'm gon na do some editing to your hairline and using that boar bristle brush to blend in those extensions. What it does that helps melt. Your hair in that line in that transition right into the extension one of my favorite products right now and for the past year or so it's got to be glue, and I know that I have this great and have a black one, they're, so good, and I, Like it because it dries quickly - and it sets really really nicely, but if you want that super sculpted structured hair line, this is the best way to do it. When I sleek my hair back, I love it because of the fly out zones here and they get everywhere mm-hmm. So you see how that just like you know I you know it got to because it's amazing most times I like to set it immediately with the blow-dryer. So it's like, we have this beautiful silhouette and I think that it's gorgeous, I think they really suits. You. Look it look like if you yeah, I just want to thank you free hair, for sending this over absolutely because this is like the girls need to know about this, like the natural growth, especially need to know that they have options and know that it's not always Just a sew-in or a wig or you know a damaging leave out situation like this is a great alternative. I'M done yeah I wan na get kinky interested in. Thank you. Thank you. So much you're going to thank you or just you know, to show me that it can be easier. Should I at home, mm-hmm - and these are friendly, like you - can do it at home? Well, your son
