Ariana Grande’S Ponytail Tutorial With Clip In Hair Extensions

Hi everybody so today we're showing you how to create Ariana, Grande's half-up half-down, look with your lush hair extensions. So I'm going to start by applying my hair extensions, the weft I'm going to play it at the bottom near the nape of my neck is the two clip weft with another two clip weft stacked. On top of it, you want to make sure that you apply your hair extensions as low down as possible. This way, it will be a lot easier to disguise them when we do the half up half down. Look next, I'm going to apply the four clip weft and then I'm going to apply the 2/3 clip weft, I'm also just going to apply to 2-foot Webster on top of wife done so now we can take down this top layer of hair. So now you want to kind of think about where you want the ponytail to start so Ariana's kind of starts by just kind of like a ears of this way. So here's is kind of something like that, but we want to apply some hair extensions in this top part. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to part kind of in the middle here and stick someone clips in there, so I'm just sectioning in the middle, where the ponytail would kind of be which is around about here just going to tie this top part Up then, I'm going to grab my one pieces and I'm just going to stick that in this section here you want to apply these backwards, so flip them over on top of themselves. Then you just want to let this top piece down again and then for here you want to take your comb and this is optional, but I just think it looks a little bit better. You just want to make a little bit of a backcomb just here. So just grab sections of hair where the ponytail would be and push against the root. This helped to add a little bit of volume into our ponytail. So I'm just going to brush that out now with my comb. So now you want to section where the ponytail would be so I'm going from about my ears and I'm just pulling up with my fingers. Now it's really important to check the back of your hair to make sure these bottom clips are covered. So now I'm just going to try it and get this nice and smooth. Then, when you're happy with where it is and that all the extensions are covered, you can just take your hairband and tie it in place. I'M just going to take my fingers and pull it forward a bit. So next I'm just going to take my comb and prove out these side parts. I'M also just going to use my comb to proof this, but out as well to cover the hair tie. You just want to take a section of hair like this and just wrap it around and then grip that in place. So now I'm just going to brush this part of the hair out and I'm going to take my curling wand and I'm just going to curl. These pieces, I'm just going to do the same on this side, and then you also want to curl this top ponytail as well.
