Holiday Hairstyle & How To Blend Extensions With A Blunt Cut

What'S happened to me from girl until now, hey guys and welcome back to Lexie hares channel, my name is Alaina and in today's video I'm going to be doing a holiday, get ready with me. So you're going to be seeing me doing my makeup and hair. This video is really going to focus on how I blend in my luck, see hair extensions to my short law. It'S not super shorts, more of a medium hair length, but it is really good if you're learning how to blend into your extensions, especially if you have a blunt haircut like I do. I like to keep it really simple: nice glowing skin gold, bronzy eyes, some winged liner and, of course, a red lip. If you guys want to see a more in depth makeup tutorial, then just head over to my channel, because I have a few looks on there: a little bit more in depth, we're together once makeup is done it's on to hair and as you can tell with My hair, I have a very blunt cut and it's very thick at the end. So this is how I blend in my Lexi hair extensions. I section off my hair, where the bottom half like just below my ears is left, and what you do is take that section and braid it as tight as you can just a regular braid and then just secure it with an elastic at the bottom. Once it's secured, I just wrap it into a little bun and then just take some bobby pins and pin it in place, and this is the most effective way to blend in your extensions. If you have shorter hair or a blunt haircut. This way, your hair starts with an extension and can go shorter with your layers. But if you had this part down, then you would see that blunt cut and it wouldn't really blend as well. Taking two of my three clip weft, I am just going to clip this on top of that braided bun. As you guys know, I like to clip my Lexi hair extensions in twos, and it really helps if you have thicker hair, then about an inch above where we just clipped in our extensions. I'M going to section that off and clip in two of my four clip webs. This is where I like to put the bulk of my extensions, because your hair doesn't really part there, so you won't even see your extensions, so I like to put the majority of my extensions, mostly at the bottom center of my head, I'm walking around feeling free. Thank you now, for the last section I like to go around my temples and since I have a lot of hair right at the back center of my head, I'm taking two of my two clip weft and I just like to pop them right. On top of each other in the center - and this just really helps to chop up the extensions and it just looks more natural and it flows a lot nicer now to make this as realistic as possible. I did trim my lucky hair extension, so this isn't the full length I have trimmed a couple inches off just so that it blends with my hair length a little bit better popping in two of my two clip weft right at the side of my head. This just finishes off the look, and it's all blended now my favorite part about wearing these extensions is that once you curl them, it holds the curl forever, even when you take them out, so these extensions still had a bit of curl in them. So I'm just really going through and kind of freshening up the waves and really blending in my natural hair into the extension so that it flows perfectly for this hairstyle, I'm doing a really soft elegant wave. I think it's perfect for the holidays, so I'm just taking my straightener and flipping it away from my face, so all of my hair is going in the same direction away from my face. I just think it frames it nicely, and it also really hides your hair into the extensions this now. The part you do need to focus on is the hair that doesn't have extensions in it, and for me this is the top half of my hair. As you can see, it still looks really straight and blunt so I'm just going through and taking about an inch, thick piece and just doing the exact same thing so taking my straightener, I kind of smooth out the root part, and then I just flip it away From my face and pull downward, so it creates the perfect holiday wave too. So you know to me: it's perfect falling in love. It'S true. This part of the game has something in store. Ah, once everything is curled I like to take a brush and just blend my natural hair and my extensions together to maintain this hairstyle and the shine I'm taking a little bit of this hair sprays is a really light hair spray. So it's not too sticky and I'm just spraying my hair in place so that it stays all day I'm walking around so hey.
