Hi guys! Thanks for watching my video :) Also wanted to put this out there... I'm not trying to get sympathy. I just thought it was an interesting story and at the time, I would have really appreciated someone else making a video like this. I'm just glad my hair grew back and that it's almost back to normal!

xoxo,

Morgan

Good mark and everyone so for today's video I am filming what I guess is called a story time. I don't really film videos like this. In fact, this might be my first story time video, but I wanted to share with you guys a story about the time. My hair got straight butchered and I'm talking like the haircut from hell. I know some of you guys have you thinking, I'm exaggerating but wish. I were exaggerating about the story because it's happened to me recently, but I'm not so. I'M gon na tell you about a story: what happened, what I've been doing since all that kind of good stuff and show you guys pics and video of this horrible haircut, which I'll include at some point in this video, but without much further ado? Let'S go ahead and get started. I do want to put this disclaimer in here very quickly to say: if you are the type of person who is of the opinion that hair is silly or vain or superficial, first wear problems. What of it might be? You were obviously entitled to those opinions. However, I request that you click up now, because I am gon na be talking about my hair. Ain'T, no excuse believe in negativity, because I already won't just to give you a brief history of my hair. There are maybe two times in my whole life. I can remember that I had short hair, meaning above my shoulders. The first time was when I was young about 4 or 5 years old. My parents cut my hair to about a boy's length, very short, because I would pull my hair out. So I have some baby pictures of me when I would like pull my hair out with like bald spots on my head: hey definitely anxiety-induced, so they cut my hair up. So I couldn't pull my hair out. It was very traumatizing to me as a little girl, because I can remember having people ask me if I was a boy or a girl cuz. I couldn't tell because my hair was so short, so that was not very enjoyable experience. Obviously it was helpful because I got better if not pulling my hair out, but that's a whole nother story. The second time I had short hair was when I was in high school for some reason I got it in my head. I wanted short hair. I think I saw a picture of Ashley Simpson and was like hey. She looks good, I mean try not to so. I literally went to like smart cuts thing like that, shortcuts, whatever they call it sports cuts. Sam'S Club - I don't know - I remember telling the lady middle of my neck and obviously that did not go over very well. I didn't even think I asked her to shape it for me. Instead, it was very blunt of a cut, so I ended up looking like Dora the explora, and that was a whole long process of regrowing, my hair out now. This is where the story begins. So let me flash y'all back to November of 2017, so that is about eight months ago. It is now July that this whole situation happened. So I was with my friend, and she had convinced me to go with her to get a hair trim, because we both had really long hair and it's just something I routinely do anyway. So I kind of figured okay yeah sure let's go get our hair trimmed. I usually go to the same person, her name Skye, and I was talking about her later on in the video cuz. She was absolutely amazing and I will never stray from you Skye again. I figured okay well number. One Skye is far from me. It takes me a couple hours to get to her. It'S hair trim how bad could it be and for the purpose of this video, I am NOT going to be mentioning the salon I went to. Nor am i going to be mentioning the person that specifically cut my hair. I already issued a complaint talk to the salon about it did everything I could in my power and I'm not gon na use my platform to like put out that type of negativity. I'Ve already dealt with it in real life, IRL, so yeah just to let you guys know, I went in there thinking that a salon is, you know, pretty Universal. Everyone who works at a salon should be credentialed and have training, be a professional like yeah, like you and hope for any salon. You go to a salon to get services done. You hope you get the service that you paid for and that you're requesting. So we walk into the salon and they had two spots available. So obviously me and my friend took that the girl came out who is going to be cutting or trimming my hair and she seemed nice enough. Let'S do this, so I explained to her what I wanted done. I told her. I, like my hair long. I, like my hair sick, only thing I care about is thick and long. Okay, you got that. I have long layers in my hair. Basically, all I want is a hair trim, so I just want one to two inches cut off minimize: how much you're gon na cut off. I want my length and also just freshen up. The layers is that I have so nothing too crazy and you maybe freshen up my side banks here. I always have like really long side bangs, as you can see, she's like okay, and also on top of that, because I know that one thing can mean something else to someone else. Things can be ambiguous when you go get your hair cut, so I actually even took in a picture and showed her exactly what I wanted and I showed her how my hair is looked in the past I mean I gave her my whole hair history, okay, so This girl had all the information I could provide her with all the resources I had to my in my hands. I gave her so she's trimming up my hair. You know sectioning it off whatever and I'm kind of noticing she seems like she's cutting a lot of hair off and for me, whenever I go and get my hair trimmed anyways, it always feels like I'm getting a lot of hair cut off. So I didn't necessarily want to say anything. I don't want to be like a backseat hairstylist for me, I think, like they're professional, they know what they're doing so. What started to feel kind of weird to me was she kept saying things like? Oh well, hairs, hair. You know, hair doesn't really matter here, grows back, don't worry about it and I'm kind of sitting there like. What do you know what you do for a living? Maybe care a little bit more. I don't know again. Am I crazy? So you know we're doing small talk and she's psycho. What do you do for a living in? I explained her uh social media. I'M a youtuber evolve watch because all I'm really good friends with I'm not gon na off the name, his name, but I'm really good friends with this guy who's on YouTube, he's one of the biggest hair stylist on YouTube, he's really well-known and yeah he's one of My really good friends - and I like oh that's, cool I've - seen his videos before clearly um the company you'll keep does not reflect on your quality of work. If you catch my drift now, even though I put my faith in her abilities, I'm also making sure to drop major hints to her again saying like. Oh, I, like my hair's thick, I work with hair companies, so I, like my hair long, you know one time. I told her my whole hair history, then I told you guys moving the video and I was like yeah, so it kind of means a lot to me that I really like my long hair, it's kind of my brand. You know well, the haircut starts coming to an end. It'S about. You know 15. 20 minutes. However long it takes to get your hair trimmed and she goes oh do you want me to style your hair, and this is my first response like what does that cost? More she's, like nah, I was like okay sure. Why not so she is curling, my hair and I'm kind of noticing again she's taking a little bit more time than say it would take me to style my own hair, or maybe someone else just styled my hair. She seems to be like messing around with it and like fiddling with it, and then she says something again that I thought was really odd at the time she was telling me that she noticed my hair color was uneven, which I never noticed before. I felt like my hair color was beautifully done. I was very happy with it, but she told me because my hair is trimmed. She cut it in a certain way so that the hair color look more even huh. She gives me a mirror. You know to like for me to see the back of my head and I'm looking at, and I was like. Oh that looks really choppy and also those layers are way shorter. Then I asked she's also showing to me. It'S like see how I cut it up here this layer to even out your color and I'm sitting there looking at her thinking like, I think it looks even more uneven now that you've done that, in fact, it kind of looks like you just went like this With the scissors to the back of my head, but at the time I didn't really know what to say again cuz. I didn't really have time to collect my thoughts. I was like alright, there you go now. I didn't know the damage that had been done until I washed my hair a couple days later. She had actually chopped my hair up so badly. It looked like I had a mullet yeah more than half my hair. I would actually see like 70 % of my hair was cut to here or shorter, and I had long strangly pieces like hanging out randomly. I also noticed that, even like just from side to side like looking at it like this, the layers weren't, even even they were like once I was higher one side - was lower on the layers. My bangs were cut so choppy that they were like steps in my hair. So, needless to say, I was horrified when I realized what had happened and honestly the haircut was so bad. I could have probably done a better job blindfolded with a sword, mulan style chopping. My hair off by myself, that's how bad it was. It was to the point where I was so devastated over it. I was googling pictures of like bad haircuts like that choppy layer, Jobson blah blah blah and my hair was one of the worst I was seeing on there I'm going to insert some pictures and videos here, so you guys can see the aftermath of that haircut. Okay, see you guys you're just gon na see my messy background. So sorry about that. But I just want to show you guys. I got my hair trimmed on last Saturday, it's Friday, so that's almost in two weeks, yeah so like more than half of it is sure, and then I've just got like a random like short pieces through it like here and back here and then like long strands And then the right size way worse cuz. I have more hair on this side. Obviously, you can see just like the handiwork like random short pieces like this, and then this is off just chopped short for some reason, and then you can see the layers are not even even from like here like side to side they're, not even, and she didn't Have my hair parts to the side when she cut it so and then my bangs, it's supposed to be side, swept they're, not really even this probably goes over here. I'M thinking so yeah in my hair, mind you I'll probably put before and afters in. This was like two here and she cut that in it trim this. It cut this much off in a trim and I'll tell you this now. I'M smiling kind of laughing about the situation because I feel, like I'm past it, but at the time it was horrible because all I could think was. Oh my gosh everyone's gon na give me such a hard time. I feel so stupid, I'm kind of embarrassed. I can't believe this happened, I'm like feel bald, because I literally had like this much hair and so was horrified. I wait about a week and then iMessage sky, who is the girl that normally she's the one who cuts and styles my hair she's, the one that does the beautiful Bali on my hair. So I messaged her. The bad news sent her a couple pics. She goes Wow, okay, why? Don'T you come in and as soon as I pull my hair out of the bun she's like? Oh, oh, my god and my knees guy is so sweet like she didn't like guilt-trip me for going to someone else. She was like. I understand I'm so sorry this happened to you, but she's like wow. This is really choppy, it's very uneven and she actually thinned out your hair. That was the worst part with this girl who cut my hair at that salon. The original salon had actually gone in and thinned my hair, and that was one thing I requested her not do. Actually I requested her. Do the opposite. The reason I like my hair thick as I think anyone would like their hair thick is. I have alopecia areata. So I get bald spots on my head. I'Ve talked about them in the past. I'Ve recently had a few that I think, and my doctors think are probably gon na - be permanent and I've gone through the whole process of getting like steroid shots in my scalp. In my head, so it's definitely something that I think about that. I'M concerned about and having thick hair is something that I value, because then I feel more assured that my bald spots aren't visible. You know from day to day or, however, I style my hair. Actually, one of those shots left a dent in my head because I think they over ejected me that's a whole other story, so yeah thickness is something that really matters to me and I was devastated when sky was like yeah. She definitely like cut thinned out your hair for some reason. I don't know why she would do that. What sky ended up having to do was blending out the layers as much as she could. She also had to take some of the length off okay, I'm in the chair, Sky's, trying to fix up my mop, so we're gon na have to take a couple inches off the bottom and then she's gon na try and blend these out, but they're already pretty Chunky so there's not really there's not gon na be long hair here. Obviously, since it's already been cut, this guy he's gon na see what she could do now, because this girl did such a bad job cutting my hair. She had actually cut holes into my hair, so not only were the layers really choppy and bad, but it would go from like, like I literally had like hair like this long off. My hair, like it would hit me here and then it would all of a sudden like jump down here, so there was like a giant hole of a layer so Skyy what she end up having to do was put hair extensions in my hair, okay, so Skyy. Oh looks so much better, just fix the cut up. Now it's a lot more blended, but it's pretty thinned out the left from her cut, my hair thinned it out a ton, so we're gon na add some finishes and I actually have my hair. So these are the hair extensions I was wearing. I wore these for a month. The month of December and Skyy actually used these and installed these in my hair, I can make a video a separate video about these, because if I talk about these extensions too much in this video, this video is gon na be way too long. So I feel like this needs a separate, dedicated video, but these are specifically Korean hair extensions, they're, really high-quality extensions that sky actually brought straight from Korea, they're different in the sense that they're really lightweight but they're braided into your hair, so they're less damaging than traditional Hair extensions, so I was actually wearing all of this within my head for a month. So if you saw any pictures of me like when I was at the unforgettable gala when I was filming any of my like vlogs in December, any of those videos, I was wearing these hair extensions, and I didn't want to share that with you guys cuz, like I said I was so freshly traumatized by my haircut. I don't want to talk about it. I was feeling very vulnerable embarrassed. You guys now I'm kind of over it, but then after December I took these out. They were processed getting out as well, but I removed them and just kind of let my hair breathe and grow. So this is what my hair looks like now, eight months later, this is all my hair, and it's kind of thank you guys, thank goodness, who is kind of sitting funny, because I had it in a fun, but this is pretty much what my hair looks like Um air dried - I only kind of curled, my bangs back to keep them out of my face, but this is what I'm working with you could still see the short layers in my hair, how much they've grown out so they've grown out a decent amount, considering, like Some of them were like literally right here on my head. It was really bad so to show you guys, I don't know if you can see, so you can see some of the shorter layers in here. Actually, at this point, I kind of like this haircut so sky did a really good job in cutting it away, so it could grow and not have awkward stages to it. I haven't cut, I haven't color, I haven't done anything to my hair. In fact, I have actually been bathing my hair to try and help it grow and taking supplements, which again, I think I'll - do a separate video not only on the hair extensions, but how I take care of my hair as well as like how I grew my Hair out long and somewhat thick again, I could do separate videos on that because I think they deserve a lot more explanation, but yeah that's kind of the story of how my hair got butchered. I definitely learned my lesson: I'm never going to anyone but sky again to do my hair. I'M also gon na leave her information down in the description box below. If you guys want to ever get your hair colored. You ever want to get your hair trimmed or cut whatever you want to do. She is literally the best person. I'Ve ever gone to she's very honest with expectations about hair coloring. She listens to what you want and her goal is for you to walk out of there with a hair style that you're happy with um. So yeah, that's the story, that's my story. I know to some people. It seems silly and ridiculous that this is even a video or that I would even be upset over my hair getting cut like that, but I don't really care like. If I matters to me, that's all that matters and don't let people minimise you for what you care about or how you feel that's one of like my biggest pet peeves is when people try to make. You feel like your feelings, aren't valid but anyways. If you're going through something similar, I hope this makes you feel better. We all get bad haircuts from time to time at some point in our lives. I'M sure everyone will experience something similar but yeah again I will make videos on my hair extensions as well as hair routines and how I grew out. My hair leave comments down below, if you guys are interested in seeing videos like that, because I'd be happy to make them, I feel like I have definitely learned a lot about my own hair as well as hair in general through this whole process. So I guess that's kind of a good thing, but, as always, I hope you guys are happy and healthy and don't forget to rate comment, subscribe share your friends family hit that notification valve and I'll see you guys in my next video bye, guys

TheBeautyBreakdown: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR KIND WORDS... and also, I can't believe how many of you have gone through the same thing. That makes me so sad! But seriously, I've been reading through your comments and they all make me feel much better! I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH <3 Thank goodness my hair has grown back to a point where I like it again. Also, I forgot to mention in the video... my friend and I did look up reviews for the salon and it had really great reviews. In the future, I'd HIGHLY recommend going to someone who's recommended by a friend, family member, someone you know, etc. I feel like that's the best way to find great hair stylists!

Joana Sofia: Im actually living the same nightmare right now, and my hair is way shorter. I feel like I have a bad 2000's haircut, it makes me feel so not confident with myself :/

Aiden Leong: This is actually me right now. Stylist cut my hair way more than I asked, I even said to only do my sides Definitely does affect self confidence so much. Can't look at past photos without nostalgia of my past loved one

Missy Ford: I am 60 years old and have received many bad haircuts. Yes, it grows out BUT in the meantime you don’t feel as confident. Plus you struggle to style it. I can’t afford to go to a decent salon and refuse to go to cut rate place so I color my own hair, trim my bangs and just have long hair. I know that won’t work for everyone but at least I like my hair. Very glad your hair is recovering. Take care, Morgan

dnwalkingoneggshells: oh no morgan :( im really sorry that happened to you! and the term "hair grows back" is not cool man. my mom has a thyroid disorder and it takes her months to even grow an inch.

Nadia: Baby's first storytime!! You did such a good job, you should do more of these in the future!! So sorry you went through that. I'm actually getting my haircut next week & I'm super nervous because I don't have a regular hairdresser I go to. Could you make a video on how to pick the right hairdresser? Love you! ❤️

tater. tot: I honestly dont know how morgan remained so calm. I WOULDVE BEEN BAWLING

Diem Huong Nguyen: Every hairdresser i've gone to had thinned my hair, even though i told them not to.. i've actually NEVER been satisfied with my hair cut in my life.. :D i feel you, Morgan!

yellow spoon: *I **_SCREAMED_** when I saw the video clip of what she did to your hair!* _I seriously would be in tears_

chonsa: Whatever the outcome of the haircut, just the fact that she thinned it out and chopped so much of it when you specifically told her to do the exact opposite is telling me she should be fired and never cut anyone's hair again. This is not a "she had bad day, it was an honest mistake situation". She did the exact opposite of what was asked of her.

qarens: I've always had long and beautiful hair like yours until about 2 years ago when finally decided to get some layers in my hair. This lady cut off half my hair and the shape and layers were not pretty or complimentary of me at all, especially since I have thin hair. I went home and teared up and made the decision to have my regular stylist chop off most of my hair into a short bob. I've never regretted that decision thank goodness.

LilyB_84: She has no business being a hair stylist! I hope the salon let her go so no one else has to experience what you went through!

raccoony120: Omg!! I just had a similar experience! I totally feel for you! I have thinning hair, so I'm really sensitive about my hair. I been trimming my own hair for years, recently decided to get a bob cut, went to this place and got a horror choppy not bob bot pixie uneven nightmare. I had to find another salon to fix it half way presentable. I was balling my eyes out even at the second salon!

Ana Isabel: Yes to a video on how you grew out your hair after that bad haircut !!looks beautiful now ! I only trim my hair twice a year im terrified something like this might happen

lemonan: Sky really is an amazing hairstylist. She was able to fix your staircase haircut beautifully!

Paris: I just had a pretty choppy haircut a couple months ago so I totally feel your pain! I’m glad your hair has grown back though, and honestly Sky worked miracles lmaoo

Charlotte Babb: Oh Morgan!! I feel ya girl! I'm so terribly sorry that happened to you! Hair is the CROWN to your face! It's everything!!

Tina: Similar thing happened to me years ago and I haven’t been back to any ‘professional’ salon since. I feel you on being traumatized!

kit smith: I can tell what that hairdresser was trying to do but the layers weren't cohesive and straight up choppy. I could tell it looked thinned out too cuz i usually thin out mines. So good that your hair is better. I've had a bad hair cut where someone gave my hair choppy layers and especially right on my crown. It was outrageous so u totally feel your trauma.

Grace: Girl, the same thing just happened to me. I literally came home and announced that I got a mullet. I was mortified. I had nearly waist length hair that was cut to my shoulders. Please make a video about those extensions. I am still growing my hair out. And feeling awful.

Nicoleicole: This is so freaking relatable. I am normally relaxed about my hair because it usually grows quickly and decided to try out a new cheaper/closer stylist awhile back. Unfortunately it ended in me having to get a short lob to fix things because she damaged my waist-length hair so badly. Oh well, lesson learned: if you find a stylist you love, stick with them.

Shonna R.: I will never understand, being a stylist myself, how ANY stylist can act like that haircut was good! Bless your heart!!

lilacshine9: I kind of wonder if this stylist had some kind of jealousy towards you because your hair was gorgeous before she touched it!! It just doesn't make sense that she would cut your hair like that for several reasons unless she was fresh out of beauty school or something.

Rita: I totally feel you this happened to me recently just 2 weeks ago, I had the same mistake... I went to a different hair salon, I told the girl I just wanted the ends to be cut but she cut all of my hair and I was soo upset I still am...

Hollie Nelson: Oh Sweetie, I feel for you! My hair is such a huge part of who I am. Long thick hair helps me feel more secure and confident. I have bald spots from anxiety-induced hair pulling which I've been dealing with since childhood. Not many people know that about me. I truly understand how you feel about your hair. That person should have her license stripped! I'm so glad that Sky came to your rescue!

Kirsten Bassett: I feel so sorry for you! I’m not someone who styles my hair a lot but getting a bad haircut is still so devastating! I love being able to just let my hair air dry and not have to style it but when you get a bad cut it takes soo much longer for it to just look decent!

Samantha: I’m a hairstylist and that’s one of the worst jobs I’ve seen done for a haircut What was she thinking?!

nomnomnori: Thank you for sharing your story with us, Morgan So happy to see how many people can relate. The timing of this upload is perfect! I went through the exact same thing two weeks ago. I was pretty pleased with my hair. It had grown 2 inches past my shoulders and had subtle layers. It’s thick and slightly wavy; it needs length to look okay. I accompanied my mom to the salon. Our go-to guy wasn’t there, so we had two different stylists work on our hair. I told the hairstylist to give my hair a slight trim as I was growing it out. I also explained that my hair is wash-and-wear so I’d prefer a low-maintenance cut. Pretty simple instructions, right? Well, his definition of a slight trim was a super choppy cut with weird layers. I gasped internally when he started using these fancy shmancy techniques. By the end of it, he proudly said that he’d given my hair volume. My hair has always had volume - it’s never been a problem so I never ask for it. He gave me a cut that had thick short layers and thin long layers - it looks like a mullet! More than half a year of growth gone in 20 minutes I didn’t really wanna talk about it because others would see it as shallow but.. I was devastated. I know it’s just hair but I made an effort to take care of it to grow it out.. and now it’s all gone. The whole thing reminded me of the unflattering haircuts I would get as an awkward tween. It’s definitely affected my confidence. The only good thing about that salon trip was my mom go the exact haircut she wanted. She was happy and that made me happy. P.S. You bet I Googled bad haircuts as soon as I got home! I also binge watched bad haircuts videos. My brother said I looked like a member of Bad Haircuts Anonymous

Mimi Nguyen: Omg I feel your pain... I had the exact thing happened to my hair two months ago. I came home after the haircut and just wanted to cry. I know hair grows back but when you take such good care of it for so long and to have it chopped off when you only ask for a trim, it's pretty devastating. So no it's not silly but I'm glad you can laugh about it now. Love your channel, your laugh is contiguous

Sophie94603: I’m so sorry this happened to you. Sadly, I just had the same experience. I’m trying to be positive and not dwell on something I have no control over at this point. I will say that watching your video helps. I feel much better thinking of the positive outcome of your bad experience. I’m sorry again this happened and, I’m glad you’re happy with your beautiful hair again. Now it’s my turn to be patient and grow my hair out. Don’t laugh, but I was going to return to the person who chopped it up and have a conversation with her about how I really want her to cut it. Am I stupid for even considering sitting in her chair again? I guess I didn’t consider that she would mess it up even worse if that’s possible. Now I just feel stuck. Scalped, and stuck.

Patrick Mibba: Did the salon and stylist ever apologize for messing up your hair??

Iluvmugglenet: Oh God, I'm sorry you had to go through that! Honestly, this is one of my worst fears everytime I even think about getting a trim! I'm glad you have a good stylist who salvaged the situation for you, it looks gorgeous again

sarahloucheese: Your story made me so sad, especially because I've had a similar experience myself and am still trying to grow out the ugly layers! I would love another video on how you look after your hair and any tips you have on growing it longer! ♡

LOONBIT: damn that’s awful lmao I’ve been cutting my hair myself for over 5 years, never trusting hair stylists ever again

Morgan: I’m super chill about my hair because it grows like crazy and I pull it up most of the time anyhow but I would have an aneurysm if someone did this to my head. Omg poor baby! And PS I have my hair professionally thinned out by my stylist at least once a year because my hair is insanely dense and hot to live under but my hair has never looked like that afterward. This girl really did a number on you

Cahyarini Hariga: I’m so glad you shared this with us!! I’ve definitely gotten a bad haircut and maybe it was because I wasn’t firm, but it was pretty clear that I didn’t like it. I guess the hairdresser didn’t understand what my expression meant :/

Sylbiah: I had a similar experience. I told my hairdresser (at the time) that I wanted to grow my hair, so she left the bottom super long and the top super short (like mullet). What the hell? I cried. After that, my explanations of how I wanted my hair were super detailed (because I ended up feeling it was my fault for not being able to explain how I wanted my hair in the first place).

Judy C.: Oh my god!! This is an insane story!! Girl, I totally hear you, I would have been so mad, so upset, and most definitely would have cried. I don't blame you at all for feeling the way you did. I'm so glad your hair is beautiful and healthy now!

Magda Padilla: I get you! I hate when this happens to me, I also love my long hair. By the way, you look very pretty with no make up :) Right now I have a similar haircut to the one you got, but I don’t really mind because I did it myself lol I was experimenting with my hair, I’ll just let it grow and get it fixed :p

yellow spoon: Honestly, I don’t mean to rub it in, but it looks like you gave scissors ✂️ to a toddler and said, “have at it!”

M: "hair is hair, hair doesn't really matter" omg if my stylist said that i'll run away lol

Lobo0521: Definitely needed this! I recently had my hair butchered and my hair almost reached my butt! My hair was exactly like yours choppy and SHORT layers! It just happened last month so I’m still in the process of growing it out. Can’t wait to see how you grew it out definitely need some tips. ‍♀️‍♀️

gigglylizz: I was looking for a hairstylist because just recently I had my hair butchered. The salon "stylist" left me with a mullet like haircut. I've been tucking my hair behind my ears. Thank you for sharing your experience. Will definitely look Sky up.

Ly Michelle Nguyen: Girl, I feel you on that! I have had a similar situation like you did. I just wanted a trim and keep my length, but not this lady does not know how to handle asian hair. She took off more than 1 inch off and it went to my shoulders. I know people say hair grows back, it does but it takes forever for my hair to grow the length that it did.

Ellie Herr: I suffered the same thing I feel you.... I had to tie my hair for half a year.

KimberlyNicole: I’m glad you’re feeling more comfortable about your hair now. Even being in school I’ve never seen a cut like this where the stylist actually lets the client leave like this. The only over time I’ve seen something like this is when I was redoing the perm my sister had gotten at another salon. The stylist told her getting layers would help accentuate the curl and make it lay better, which I totally agree with to some degree. HOWEVER, while perming, I noticed she only had layers in the back left side of her hair, and they were very choppy and awkward. Her hair was completely damaged, and thinned out for no good reason. My sister ended up paying almost two hundred dollars on hair treatments and smoothing treatments at the salon I was working at to help her hair as much as we could. My sister had a thyroid issue which results in her hair falling out and being very thin as it is so it was very hard for her. We then found out a year later the women wasn’t even licensed to be doing perms along with her salon wasn’t built for chemicals like that due to ventilation purposes. On top of that she was charged over $250 which my sister didn’t know was completely over priced. She told me she’s never letting someone else besides me do her hair again...My point is PLEASE research the salon and stylist before going! Even if you go and you still feel uneasy, ask questions. A good stylist will be more than happy to ensure you doing the experience and will have no problem explaining what they’re doing and why BEFORE they start.

Yannie Khoo: Oh my gosh girl, I totally can relate to you, I had the exact same thing happened to me before, like the exact same thing, oh gosh,

Margherita Bonetti: this literally happened to me 10 months ago and to this day i cant drive past the terrible salon that did such a bad job to my hair cause it just makes me feel anxious lol after the tragic haircut i cried for 3 whole days, then went back to my usual hairdresser and requested to chop most of it off which she did. my hair was still pretty thinned out and i was losing a lot of it (probably due to all the stress accumulated) BUT now it's grown back quite well!!! the cut is /still/ a little awkward but i know i'm the only one that can notice it because im constantly monitoring it lol. ive also been taking a lot of supplements etc. interesting to see the difference 8 months made on you!! made me feel a lot better about my situation as well, we are in this together ^^

Charmaine Ocampo: I also went through a similar experience when I was in college. I planned to have a short bob (shoulder length) but it ended too short I can already see the scalp at back part of my head . It was pretty devastating and it made me less confident on how I look but I learned to be more cautious and take better care of my hair. I feel you, Morgan. And btw, I like your hair. Keep it up!

Miss Petite: I got my hair coloured and it went from subtle highlights to streaks to the roots...I took out a box dye and went over it the same day. I feel for you. Btw Sky is an amazing stylist! She did a great job!

O L: I don't think many people actually know how to cut hair properly.

SHALEEN: One of my worst nightmares honestly, I'm so sorry that happened to you!! Big of you to not expose the hair salon too <3

EduK8Beauty: Morgan- thanks for sharing and I’m so sorry this happened to you! Also, really excited to meet Sky!

Keeshia Komisar: I just had the same thing happen - my hair was the longest it’s ever been, said I wanted to keep the length just take no more than an inch off the ends and some long layers - ended up with medium length shag haircut!!! Like — whyyy?? Now googling bad haircuts.

Simple Casual Chic: OMG, so sorry to hear about your bad haircut experience! I had something similar happen to me when I tried to cut bangs, and I will never do that again! Scarred for life! Your hair looks great now!!!

Tiffany: oh my gosh i would've been so traumatized too!! i'm glad your hair is back to where you want it :) would definitely love to see a video on how you grew your hair out again !

Sylvia Roach: I had the same experience at a salon and I cried! I had super long and thick hair went for a trim and the lady gave me a mullet I was so upset. Your not alone! But your hair looks lovely ❤️

Veronica Trevino: I understand Morgan! After having my hair short for many years....my hair was finally getting longer. A couple of days ago I went to a salon...and the lady made my hair short! I told her I just wanted a trim! :(

Alice Her: It was not silly! Thank you for doing a story time. Really looking forward to how you take care of your hair! Love you!!!!

KyraHobbit: I had a similar experience with my last hair trim last year. I have hair past my hips, and I also thought I could just hit up a walk-ins only salon. Thank goodness I didn't have any layers that I asked the stylist to fix up! I asked for three inches off (the ends were brittle pretty far up), and a soft edge at the bottom that curved up a bit to the sides. She cut the ends off terribly choppy, plus cut an extra three inches off of on large lock of hair on one side! I didn't quite realize how bad it was until, like you, I washed my hair the next day. I am so grateful to the busy stylist who does my mother's difficult hair for fitting me in and fixing it. She had to cut up high to even out the chopped off spot, but she softened it out and made it look soooo much better! I've been too afraid to go try a trim since then, but I recently was given a glowing recommendation for a stylist who works in a salon an hour and a half drive away. I think I'm going to try it! Also, please do make videos about long hair care. I would love to see more tips and tricks. :)

Roobi365: I love story time morgan! you should definitely do more of it :D

Cassie Young: I’m so sorry Morgan! I am regrowing my hair from it being over processed and it’s so frustrating and feels like it’s taking forever! I also had bald spots and I’m always afraid it might just stop growing altogether. Thank you for sharing this!

mariasaysrelax: Your hair grows really fast! But I totally get it, I DO NOT just trust my hair to anyone. Yes, that sounds vain, but I've had similar experiences to you and it truly is devastating!

Tina La Rosa: Wow morgan I am constantly impressed by you. If I were in your situation I'm not sure I could have handled it with the same maturity or professional grace. I'm glad you're feeling better about your hair, it looks great! I completely agree with the last bit you were talking about. A lot of people like to look down on beauty related things like makeup and hair but they help you feel good and have confidence in yourself and its ok to value those things! It's so frustrating to me when people do that because you are allowed to be passionate about things. I honestly think a lot of the time people look down on beauty related things it's because its usually women who are working in those fields or who are passionate about them. There's this double standard where women are supposed to look a certain way but at the same time aren't allowed to care about or take time on their appearance. Everyone is vain to a certain extent and you're allowed to care about the way you look.

Joanna: I love how your hair looks bc I have seen how you take care of it and even I feels infuriated with what she did to your hair. I've had the same problem, but mine was a straight cut so my hair went into Dora with uneven cuts. I feel you

Yasmin Salinas: This is EXACTLY 100% just how they cut my hair. I cried so so hard!! I’ve never been attached to me hair, but this time it just looked so choppy and my hair had been just as long... I cried for days. I did a big chop instead to make it all just even and not have to deal with the awkwardness of the cut. I miss my long hair so much, I’ve basically had short hair before that for years. Now that I’m getting older too, it seems like it’s growing SO slow. Please make a video on how to grow your hair out.

Lakshani Wijetunge: I just had a hair cut it was choppy I cried for an hour. It’s so short and i don’t know what to do with it

thr33strawberries: So sorry this happened to you :( Glad your normal stylist was able to fix it up. I've always liked the way you styled your hair and it inspired me to grow out my hair. Thanks for sharing with us and being so honest all the time.

Eurika: Smh this really makes me so angry. One time I went to get layers in my long hair and the lady literally said "it won't look good" since I have thinner hair. I've had layers for YEARS and was always happy with how I looked so I basically had to argue with her to give me my normal layers...she gave me shorter bangs than I asked for and didn't do layers. I was crying inside lol I ended up going to another place right after and the other salon lady was appalled that someone would say that to me

Clancy M: oh my gosh this is an awful story.. I am so sorry this happened to you..... As a hairstylist myself I hate seeing stuff like this... It just gives us a bad rep and scares people off from going to a salon... I'm so glad it got fixed though!!! Great job, Sky!!! And never ever be sorry for loving your hair!! It's a part of who we are and what makes us feel good! <3

Jeremy Dueck: I’m a boy, and I was growing my hair out but when I went to get a LIGHT TRIM, I got set back months of hair growing.

Michelle Guzman: Omggg I can totally relate! This happened to me before I swear if I take a screenshot of the part where you show the back of your head and send it to my sister she'd totally think thats a picture of my bad haircut I experienced a while back! Glad to see your hair grew back would love to see tips on how you grew it out.

kimkimi: I totally get you :( I had my hair butchered (I wasn’t even the one who decided that I NEED to get a haircut) to a very short awkward and almost boyish haircut. It was so traumatized that I went home crying, skipped school for 3 days and didn’t cut my hair for another 3 years lol

Alba Salgueiro: This happened to me on September and I'm still traumatized about it I cried so much the first weeks I couldn't even wear my hair down for two months I was so embarrassed. I'm taking pills for hair growth and taking care of it with shampoos and stuff but still until it fully grows back it's a really long process...thank you so much for this video! Your hair looks amazing now❤️

acnhmjoy: I’m so happy that your hair is slowly going back to how it was!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ you’re still beautiful

Kellee Soup: This is your channel so you talk about what you want <3 Can't wait to see your hair videos on how you grow out your hair. I'm about to turn 29 and I can definitely see a difference in my hair. Its really coarse near the scalp and falls out more.

Betsy R.: I'm glad you are recovering emotionally and your hair is recovering. Hair can be a very senstive thing, it is for me. My hair has just grown out terrible layers and handiwork from a little over 4 years ago. I just got a haircut recently and I'm so happy with the results because my hair is even and straight no layers or anything. I'm going to let my hair grow naturally and let it breathe now, no extreme cuts anymore. I'm here for you Morgan!

SantiniStar: Oh wow, what a nightmare! Thank you for sharing the story, it must've been a horrible experience to go through..! I would LOVE a video on how to grow your hair out and how you "babied" it to grow long and thick again :D I am growing out my own hair and it feels like it takes forever... Also - you haven't cut your hair in eight months and your ends look SO GOOD? How?! Spill all your secrets <3 I'm here for it!

Jean Khn: Thank you- I had a stylist for over ten years- she retired. And since then I feel I went chopped from maintenance free. Thickness for wavy thin hair is so important. Stylist charge so much and to leave uncomfortable adds to the sadness.

Tempest Grey: Yes this happened to me once and I’m a hairdresser. I ended up taking it to a pixie thank god I looked ok with short hair. But I was pretty devastated and it took a long time to grow back out

Julia Kirsty: Oh wow, I feel like even the scene kids back in the day did their own hair cuts way better than what that person did to your hair :/ I'm glad your hair grew out so well and could be fixed. I just don't get how something like that can even happen. Blending layers and getting them at least somewhat even is not too hard. I know that some hairdressers might angle the hair a bit wrong while cutting resulting in it getting gradually longer to one side. But usually with a soft transition. Sorry, no, I can't understand what was done to your hair back then. I hope, the person who did this has learned how to properly cut hair by now.

Angela Koo: I am so sorry you had to go through this!! and this is exactly the reason why I am so scared to have my hair cut by someone I don't know or feel comfortable with. That woman legit did damage your hair! Big time! And talking about it as if it is a piece of garbage oe whatever else. Your hair looks lovely now

Kacey Pagano: Hi! This story really helped me because I am going through this right now. Unfortunately my shortest layer is all the way up at my chin. It’s so choppy. How long do you think it will take to reach shoulder length at least? I’m so embarrassed. My hair grows fast

Nur Farah Ain: i almost screamed when i saw the snippets & videos of your hair. clearly the hairdresser didn't know what she was doing! so sorry that you had to go through this, morgan. i wonder if that hairdresser did those on purpose because she was jealous of your hair or something.

Tats: I have the same experience! Having thick hair have so much work... now adding the bad hair cut on it? Gosh. Stay beautiful Morgan

it'smay: It's so totally not silly.. i have no hair because of alopecia and I feel like hair is such a huge part of your appearance and losing it can really impact your self-confidence. Your hair is stunning - extensions or not! I'm glad that it's grown back healthily though!

summerheat: I JUST WENT THROUGH THIS TODAY! I almost cried but thankfully it was fixable. What annoys me is that the hair stylist blamed me that I should have said something to her but she left my hair wet when I left because she said they don't blow dry there so I couldn't see until after it dried while I was running errands

CoffeewithKim: I got a botched haircut once and since then I have cut my own hair. That was around 6 years ago and I seriously still get anxiety thinking about going to a salon! Totally can relate!!

scruz chic: Just went through this- yesterday. Was so happy my old Hairdresser would do a masked cut- I too got a similar awful result. Sigh....bummed. Luckily my hair does grow fast. I have such a hard time trusting

Ashley Brewster: I'm so sorry that happened to you! I had the exact same experience in that the hair stylist used the rationale that she was "evening out my colour" to chop my hair to peices... :(

Chanantorn Chotsiri: I totally know how you feel! Especially when your work related to beauty. There is no time for the bad hair day. Thanks for sharing your story.

Jessica L: I’ve had bad hair cuts from stylists before too and I cannot trust anyone I learned to cut my own hair because of these experiences.

Andrea Lobos: OMG!! When you posted the image . I’ve had an experience where the stylist pulled out a ruler measured it hair, started cutting and then laughed as she realized she forgot to put on her glasses. I should’ve ran... but the good thing is that you keep you hair super healthy and it looks to grow back quickly? Anyways, thanks for sharing

Chronically Fabulous: I also had a weird negative experience in January this year, when my usual salon was closed for renovations and I went to check out another salon in the same shopping mall. The sign out front said AU$27 for a haircut, so I went in and was really careful to ask exactly how much it would all cost, after I'd explained the extremely simple trim I wanted, at the time. She quoted it at AU$96 o_0 She said it was a "complicated" haircut because my layers were "wrong" and needed fixing, even though I'd only asked her to trim the ends and not even touch the layers. She insisted they needed "fixing" (they were exactly how I wanted them, in relation to how long the ends would have been post-trim) and that I absolutely HAD to pay for a dry-off afterwards (AU$40), because she said it was "impossible" for any "decent stylist" to know whether it was right without a full blow-dry afterwards to "check everything". She also said it may have to be done more than once, if she had to then re-wet my hair to trim it some more after blow-drying it and that each blow-dry would be charged separately. I've literally never heard any of that from any other salon. I said, "If it's essential, then why is it an optional extra? And why have I never heard that from literally any other stylist I've been to in my 29yrs?" She said I'd obviously been going to second-rate stylists and that she was the expert and I had no idea what I was talking about. She completely ignored the question about why it was an optional extra on the price list, even when I asked it again. So I got up and told her I'd be taking my business to someone who wasn't going to try and rip me off. I caught a bus to another salon owned by the same people who run my regular salon and got exactly what I'd wanted for AU$26. The stylist trimmed the ends without touching the layers and it all sat exactly how I wanted it to. She didn't insist on a full blow-dry to check everything, just quickly dried it off for me so that I wouldn't be leaving with wet hair and didn't try to charge me an extra AU$40 for a 30sec blast of a hairdryer. It was SUCH a relief when my regular salon reopened! I'm never going anywhere else!

Somatra Chhum: the same thing happen to me too! I was so upset and I couldn’t even style it! I had to put my hair up in buns so many times

anaidmc: OMG! that same thing happened to me once!!! my hair look like it had steps, it was sooo horrible...... loved this video, your hair looks perfect now.... you should do more videos like this and also on haircare in general

Ally Bally: Oh Morgan I feel your pain! I once got my hair cut by my regular hairdresser just before my brother's wedding. My hairdresser without consulting me decided to do this asymetrical style which was hideous. I was so upset and I had to get a lot of hair cut off to make it look half decent for the wedding. The new hairdresser I went to saved me from total embarrassment, I was so grateful to her.

Chloe Sargent: I FEEL THIS: I went in to get a LAYERED cut 3 inches MAX and the lady took off 6 inches and gave me a blunt cut. I am someone who has ALWAYS had long layered hair and I dread getting my hair cut like how people dread getting a shot or going to the dentist. Now Im trying to figure out if I spend the money to get extensions, get it layered (which will make it shorter) or just cry for the next year while it grows back.

Please enter name: Girl i feel you same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago... the layering she gave me is so bad and I don’t know how to deal with it

Luv_Carmen: I got mine chopped almost exactly the same way from the salon. I totally feel the pain. It’s like I probably could do better job than this so called hair stylist. The worst part of my situation is I have medium hair so it was chopped up to my upper lip length on those front layers. I can’t do anything til it grow pass my chin length
