Are you worried your extensions will show when the wind blows?

No, but I wouldn't recommend wearing them on a windy day if you are going to be outside a lot. You could also back comb a bit on top of the clips so they aren't as noticeable when the wind blows. Dyeing the top of the extensions to blend with your roots helps as well. When your hair gets longer, you can clip the clips lower and not have to worry at all.

Hey buddy so today, obviously you can see that I'm wearing extensions because Maris, obviously not this long and I've been getting a lot of questions. People asking me like well, I'm still gon na wear extensions and of course I mean this is a hair channel. So I couldn't, I don't feel like. I could really just give up on the extensions, because you could just do your limited with short hair. So of course, I'm gon na keep wearing extensions. I'Ve worn extensions for a long time and, if worn extension, when I've had really short hair, which is what I have right now, I'm gon na show you how I put them in with my hair. This short, my last, how do I install hair extension video? My hair was a little bit longer and it was thinner, um, not thinner, but it was thinned out like because of the breakage, and your hair will blend better and easier if you have breakage in your hair or if you have your hair, very, very layered and Very thinned out because the the pieces, the rows that are laying on top of the extensions, are gon na be thinner at the end, so it'll easily blend. So it is not as easy to blend short hair with extensions, and I really wouldn't recommend blending extensions trying to do extension on any shorter hair than I have right. Now I mean if the layers are shorter than this, because the one the layers at the back are probably to my chin, and I specifically made them like that. I specifically asked for a haircut so my my layer, my first layer, would fall kind of at my chin. That'S way, it's easier to blend. I'M gon na answer a bunch of questions at the end of the video because I know I'm gon na I'm gon na get a ton of questions that I've gotten on my other videos and I'm gon na I'm gon na answer that all at the end. So stay tuned to the end, if you want to know answers to questions because I always get a ton of them and I don't want to bore you at the beginning, if you just want to see how I do it. So if there's some questions that an answer, I'll probably answer them in the description so check their tube. So if you're interested in seeing how I put extensions in my short hair, please keep watching. First, I'm gon na cut my hair very low on my head. I would even suggest even lower than this and straighten the bottom pieces just so the bottom piece is blend with your extensions, then you're gon na take a three clip left or two clip it's up to you. You can backcomb it and hairspray it. If you want. I'M not really gon na. Do it too much, but you can do it if you're more secure. That way, then I'm just gon na clip in the extension right along my part and as you can see, it's close to the side of my head and then directly on top of that, I'm gon na do another part. That'S like a finger width apart and then clip in another three clip left, but every time you part it you're gon na want to straighten your hair. So it's very close to the edge then take another section down which is another just finger width above the last one and then straighten that as well, and then I'm putting a four clip left in the back. So it's really close to the edges of my hair. So it helps conceal the little bottom pieces. So next, I'm going to part my hair again right above my ears and it's important to get really close to your ear. Taking a four clip left and clipping it in here and then taking a three clip left and clipping it in on the other side, so that I get one full line. So there's no little hairs peeking through and I'm gon na section again one finger width we're doing this all the way up straighten my hair. Just like you do all the rest of the pieces, then I'm taking another four clip left, I'm putting it on the opposite side that I did the last four clip left just so the lines don't go directly with each other in the back. So it goes all the way to there. Then I'm gon na take my three clip left again and clip it on the other side, so I get a full line of hair. This really just helps to conceal all the shorter pieces. Underneath then, I'm going to do another finger widths above that take another four clip left put that in and always remember, to straighten your hair before you do this and I'm taking another three clip and putting it on the other side directly. Next, to the other one and you're just going to want to make sure that your extensions fall pretty close to the front of your hairline. So that way you can't see the front pieces don't blend. So I'm just straightening all my hair right now and, as you can see, it's still not blending because my hair is just freshly cut and I like it that it's all chopped you like this and not really blendable. So I'm taking a two clip left and I'm clipping that iron right in the front of my hair and then I'm adding a four clip weft to the back of my head. Just so everything blends and you can actually do a four clip in a three clip here. Instead of two two clips and a four clip, I think it'll be easier. Just add the two clip to the bottom: instead of the three clip on the very bottom, and that way they don't have to overlap each other either. Now I'm taking another two clip weft and putting it on the other side, then I like to take a boar, bristle, brush and just kind of brush my hair through to blend it all together and I'm blending the extensions with the hair right now by straightening it. So what kind of all straightens together and if you see something wrong, some shorter pieces in the front or you're gon na do is you're gon na take the hair and move it underneath those pieces, so it breaks it up and let makes it less noticeable. So I'm just adjusting it so just adjust any pieces like on the bottom and stuff like that. Like I'm doing here, you can see kind of a shorter piece, so I'm moving the weft down a little bit on top of it, so the it's not so chunky. So that's how my extensions look after I put everything in. I hope you guys like it for a diagram of how I clip the extensions in please visit my facebook page formative. Let me just go through some questions that I know I'm gon na get asked about. My hair, so the first thing I know people are gon na say is like well. Why did you cut your hair if you're just gon na put extension to make your hair longer and why don't you just grow your hair? If you like, on hair, like you look better with long hair, why don't you just you know, have long hair, you know just questions like that um. Basically, the reason is is that my hair, it's really hard to grow, and I've mentioned some in videos before but - and I feel repetitive sorry for the people. Who'Ve already heard this, but my hair is very hard to grow because it's very fun so it's very damaged it gets very damaged easily. So I'm not gon na be wearing my hair straight like this all the time, because I don't want to straighten my hair, and so I probably won't be wearing this, and my hair looks better short when, with my natural hair, especially right now, because I got all The dead ends basically cut off. It'S very healthy right now, so it's very thick and feeling so it'll help to grow because there's not so much breakage. So I'm hoping, maybe if you kind of grow it from here and not use so much heat. This is the first time I'm just really straighten my hair in a really long time, because that's the only way to blend with accepted. If you want to wear extensions straight - and you know not not layered, not anything which I'm going to layer, my hair, because it's just easier to blend when your hair is layered. So I just put this video up for anybody who just wanted to show how to put your hair directly in without you know, with extensions without layering, without doing anything, and this is what I do - I didn't sew them together. I didn't do anything yet, so this is basically it usually. I get a question like well. Why do you put so many pieces in your hair? Why don't you just layer, the hair, on top of each other like have thicker wefts, sew them together, and you have thicker west's when my hair is very fine, so you'll see it through and if you watch the video of course you'll see how high I put The clips up, and if you have fine hair and you put the clips up very high, like this you'll - be able to start seeing it through if the layer is too thick of the hair. Also, you want to put your especially if you have a blunt more of a blunt cut like I do. It'S not very layered you're gon na want to put the extensions right on top of each other, and the reason I do that is because, if your hair were to move like this and the extensions weren't very close together, you would see that there's short pieces hanging Down like so the bigger the space in between the extensions, the easier you're gon na see if your hair moves like up here, it looks more natural if you put them closer together, because, obviously that's how your hair is. Your hair naturally Falls. You know right on top of each other, not in layers and stuff like that. So I know I get the question like that: how many pieces using my hair, I used two sets of 120 grams, except for except for these little pieces, which I'm thinking I should have probably died as well see. This is the color. It was I'm getting to the color later, but that's what I used to two sets of that from lush locks: extensions they're from my pink fanny, calm, I'll link it below um. I really. This is my favorite quality of hair that I've gotten the the hair is not thick all the way down, but it's basically like, if you see it, it's not really thin, as other extensions were, and it's pretty healthy hair like it's shiny, it matches my hair and I really like it i've liked it for years. I'Ve had a bunch of sets of these. I have a video on how to take care of them. These particularly have been really good, and i've had multiple sets. The length of the hair. I have is 20 inches, which i'll probably trim. I like the ends to be a little bit more blunt, so i'm gon na trim these i'm gon na. You know later them and all that stuff. So right now as it stands, my hair is 20 inches long and I'm about I'm 5 foot 6. So it comes right about to here. The color is Beach blonde. I believe good package. I could probably look it up online. Only I'll put it right here, I'll link it below the exact color to the exact color. I have I always like my extensions, because it's really hard to get a perfect match on my hair color. I have a whole video on how I love, like my extensions, I'll link that below actually use the same color. That'S in my hair right now. I use that color in my video too, so you can find out the color everything that I've used and how I did it in that other video, so I'll link that below the next question is wow, there's so many clips in your hair, like isn't that uncomfortable To me, it's not really uncomfortable just because I'm so used to it, but in general I wan na keep all these clips on the hair. I will find out what row how many rows and what goes with what and I'll still goes together in our some clips. So at them also have like four clips on each row: um right now, there's probably about four five: six, seven, seven clips on each row and I'll I'll, probably so on like make it into like four clips. So it's a little there's a lot less clips. It'S a lot faster. You put in them to do this, but I just thought I would show you exactly how I would do it um. If I didn't, you know, sew them together. Anything like that. So I have a video on how I stole them together and how I take the clips off and all that stuff. So if you want to see that I'll link it below also, I got a questions like how long is the weft from here to here? Um everybody has a different size head, actually have kind of a smaller head in general, so everybody's going to be different, so you're, just gon na have to go with what fits for you I'll do like a four clip in a three clip. I don't know exactly how long that is. I never haven't really measured it. I just kind of see what the length of my own head is and then go from there, and then I probably would you know I usually get the question it takes. Does it take a really long time to put them in when my hair's like this, it takes longer like when I have to straighten it and then it's all one length? Yes, it takes. It takes a longer time. It doesn't take me that long. It probably takes me about you know 20 minutes to do, but it does take longer. You know to do this when i layer my hair. I will you know it blends a lot easier, it's not as hard, but for this kind of look yeah, it's it's! It takes about 20 minutes. Oh I got a question. Can I put my hair in a ponytail when my hair is this light with my hair, like this um, you could probably put see when you put your hair behind your ears. That makes my ears stick out, because I have so many clips, I'm in the front here, so to actually put it when your hair is this short, you can put it probably in a low ponytail like this, but you can't put it up, especially if your hair Short, you won't be able to put it up in a higher ponytail anyways, because you're not, but your bottom here will show. So what, if you want to try to put it in a lower ponytail that will be. You know up to you with your hair exactly like this. I actually have a video on how to put your and to your hair extension to put it in a ponytail um, so I'll link that below as well and then, like I said I was I'm going to layer, my hair. So I have a video on how i layer my hair. What I'm gon na do is I'm gon na layer the front here, so it gets it blends more with my hair and also I'm going to layer my whole head, so it blends much easier um. As you can see my hair here. This is my short hair. So I'm probably I'm probably going to start my layer, probably right about here and then layer it depth throughout. That'S the reason why I have my hair, like my layer in the back there's like this short, so it's kind of it's similar, so I'll layer. It probably right here so it gives the first layer starts right here of my natural hair and then all era all throughout, so that will make it a lot a lot easier to blend in my hair, I'm gon na have to do so much straightening and all That stuff, the bottom of my hair, you're gon na I'm gon na, probably have to straighten because it gets all weird. You can also pin it up if you are uncomfortable with seeing a little bit of this shorter hair on the bottom. So I hope you guys liked this video and found it informative. You

Kayla Leigh: Literally the most natural looking clip in hair extensions iv seen!!☺️❤️

M C: I just purchased my clip ins today. I put them in, hated them, removed them, watched your video, tried again, and now they look amazing. So you are now my go to girl for hair tutorials. Than you soooo much.

lauraashleynl: This video is going straight to my favourites! Very helpful tutorial, thank you. <3

Susan: Just randomly came across this video but it was super helpful! I added it to my favorites. I'm going shopping for my first set of extensions tomorrow thanks to you! Wish me luck! You are beautiful and seem so genuine! :)

Heather Colquhoun: Probably the best video I watched, I lost all my length due to chewing my hair a stupid amount....think it might be a pregnancy craving, was very weird and I've had nooooo experience doing extensions at all but this made it pretty easy for me, thanks x

Cat Owens: thanks for the information on doing this, my hair is fine and short also and was wondering how this was done & you explained it very well. Blessings to you :)

Lori Duncan: Again, great job. Love your tutorials. I always look forward to your tips! Thanks Kelly!

Manifesting Maren: good tip to hide the underneath short pieces is to make a teeny tiny pony tail on that first short layer..or bobby pin it in a little twist knot and than put the extensions right over that

StephanieSarahh: This lipstick colour is the absolute perfect nude colour for you! It looks so natural and not too light. I've always got a problem with colours being too light.

Leora40: You do such a good job with all your hair styles!!!! They always look so good on you to!

Mallory Juel: I love how close you clip your extensions to your parts!! Most gurus do it too far down and it drives me bonkers.

Karen Caballero: The heavy baby highlights and lowlights dramatically help them blend a lot more .. great video!! It compliments your hair beautifully

Nicola Bodman: I used to have hair really short I used to French braid or twist the bit at the bottom back of the head that really helped me to conceal the short bit at the bottom x

saltwater_neptune: Very nice and natural looking. Your hair is the same length (short) as mine. Thanks for showing us! <3

G: Wow your tutorial was so helpful I recently had my hair recut and my stylist took it upon herself to take my aline all the way up to the nape of my neck. Once she did that i had no choice but to let her finish. She felt she was doing me a favor to remove the last of the dye left in My hair. I've been letting my hair go silver no more dye. I'm living with her horrible job but I can't wait to try some extentions. Thank you so much for sharing this! Btw your hair looks amazing

Toni Anne: U make it look so easy!!  Love It :)

Fara Azims: It was soooo helpful thank you❤️

Hannah Carr: Thank you, Most helpful tutorial for short hair.

青い森スナ: I think you're the only one on earth who can pull this off so perfectly you look gorgeous!

Erika Blake: I really like your videos :) I have short fine hair as well so can relate to your videos. Keep up the good work!

Inapinalove: Wow the color blends very well with your natural hair. Well done!

Janet Hardy: It looks beautiful and so natural.

MsPattiKakes: I've been having such a hard time hiding my hair underneath. It's so frustrating. Please help me girl.

Janelle Locking: it alway amazes me how well they match your hair!

Leesh217: Hey HairGirl! Love your videos! :) I have a question that may have been answered somewhere so forgive me for being repetitive if so. I have shoulder length hair but have it a pretty layered. Unfortunately I have a double crown, or two cowlicks (however you wanna term it) on the top of my head. so it's been really really hard for me to conceal wefts in the back :( I think I made my extensions too thick cause I sewed them together, so I may just need to redo them. Any other suggestions?

HairGirl247: @Leesh217 I double crown too!! I don't see too may others with it! The trick is when your blowdrying to put mousse and train your hair down. Then backcombing helps a lot too and of course making the extensions thinner will help as well!

tamara fatteroth: great tutorial, now i can put my extentions also in thanks

gracejeanne125: My hair started growing back a year ago. I lost it from chemo but my length is just about yours in this video. How many pieces do you think I should use and how much do you think it would cost?

Maribel Aguilera: Hello (: i have a couple questions to ask you about the extensions. Do they tangle a lot or do they shed? Is the 120 grams worth the buy. i mean are they thick or are they kind of thin, would i have to purchase 2 sets because i have short hair like you and i like my hair to look really thick. And are they as good as the euronext from sally's, as in quality because i know the sallys hair is a little thin but there great. And Would you recommend these extensions? Thank you hope to hear from you ^.^

HairGirl247: @Julia Grace You can check out Lush Locks from the link in my description! If your hair is super short, the more hair the better! It all depends on your hair.

siikakiis: You are INCREDIBLE! One would think it is easy to put in extensions, but it really isn't, especially in short hair! :D You make them blend perfectly and the color is identical to your hair, looks soooooooo good! <3 I love watching your videos, please don't ever quit making them! You're so down to earth and nice, I just lovelovelove you! ~Love from Finland, xoxo~

bobanna00: Yay thank you for posting this! I just got a bob again which I love but sometimes long hair is nice

HairGirl247: @Katelyn Cecelia the euronext remy hair is very thin and broken at the ends. If you have the non remy extensions they are much thicker but if you wear tem constantly they tangle so easily and more expensive. Remy is the way to go after years of trial and error with multiple sets of different brands.

sophie rose: How many pieces was that extension set??

caatje caatje: the color actually makes the perfect blend on this

Mariya Smolkin Frates: Thanks, I am going to try this tonight for Valentine's dinner! I love your ashy blond color...what's your formula for highlights/lowlights?

Kristen Chambers: I lovee your makeup! Please do a tutorial?!

TRs Place: I have med long hair to begin with. To just above my bra line. I use extentions at times because my hair is fairly thin. When I wear it down tho it gets all ratty underneath if I don't comb it fairly often. Do you have any way to prevent this?

Tiffany Shiffler: Your hair looks soo healthy and strong

HairGirl247: The Sally's Euro Remy hair is very thin and dry, I wouldn't recommend it at all. Their other extensions are not Remy hair which means the cuticles are not running in the same direction. They tangle much easier and won't last as long as Remy hair. I believe Lush Locks are even less expensive.

Cozette P: I have the Euronext Premium Remy 14 inch and I kinda sorta like it. It was the first hair extensions I have gotten so I have nothing to compare them to but I do know that they tangle ALL the time and they have split ends. They are also super thin so they don't blend easily. How much are lush locks? Would I have to buy 2 sets to make them work? Thank you so much!

RobinOrzo: I just cut my hair as short as yours and also just got extensions and this is very helpful however I'm STILL having a lot of trouble blending my extensions with my hair. I'm wondering if maybe I don't have enough hair in my extensions to blend it right? It's 140 grams of hair, how many grams of hair are you using? Thanks in advance!

HairGirl247: @Tr F it depends on the set of extensions, some are better than others. Also, if you clip the hair higher considering your hair is already long that will help too.

Nohemi Rojas: Best tutorial I've seen !! :))

d noel: Hi, I cut my hair into a bob because I had damage ends and I wanted to know how you got 12 clip ins, did you use two packs of clip ins?

Artesanato Perolamax Diy: Olá, você pode me informar a cor desse aplique?

matinachtz: Hi , do you have any suggestions on products that give shine to the extensions like the silicone coating they have when you buy them for the first time but something that dries not like oils that tend to grab dust overtime and look dull and want to be washed again because i try to avoid washing them frequently to keep them in good condition for as long as possible :)

Christine Love: Can you do a video with different hairstyles please! It would be so helpful for me!

Anna Houfburg: Great video, thanks!

Carri Rosaleigh: I have the same comb, and straightener!!

Stephanie Marie: after watching this i feel like i need more lines.. grrr :P thank you! btw i love your hair !

Elli Mn: nice video!! i actually took notes of the picture with the numbers of the clips :p my hair is like yours before you cut them but the didn't blend that muck with the extensions..i'm definatelly gonna try this!!!

Princess: Looks beautiful, but i don't think i could take so many wefts in my head, might as well wear a wig =/...anyways great video it literally goes undetected if you're inside i guess a little gush of wind and it'll show...

Ruby R: Have they ever fallen out? Great video :)

alessandra alex: Excuse me what color are the exstension you used ? And what kind should I look for on the site irresistible me ? Thank you

Reyes Monet: I loooveed your Tutorial ❤️ && hair clips blending so satisfying ,,. #2021

Tiare Sua: Whats the length of the extension you used?

carrasco87: Don't they get itchy? Whenever I wear mine they irritate my scalp

Josy Michelle: In my opinion, the hair extensions should be around 160 -180. I wear extensions it's been years and mine are 180g and look thick like hers

KandyKollections: GREAT JOB!

Alejandra Medina: it look great your extension you really do know how to do it

Yuliana Melgoza: You might mentioned this already but how long are your extensions?

Cristina Aguiar: how do you do to get so much volume to a fine hair?

iiloveyoux3jay: Love it

The K: omg it looks so natural

Wimpernjunkie: Amazing video, thanks! Just irritating, you constantly touch / comb through your extensions even when not showing something LOL ;o)

Cozette P: How would you compare lush locks to sally's hair extensions? please reply! thank you so much!

THE AMERICAN BUSHCRAFT BOYS: How many pieces did you use altogether?

Erina Rose: amazing!!

Sara D.M.: No matter what I do I can't get my back bottom layers to blend so I hair spray them and Bobby pin them flat to my head lol

courtney cordovA: Are you able to curl your hair with the extensions in?

passionist: hon you can cut your extensions in layers too match your shorter hair so, cut the extension that are on te top a few inces shorter than you have a more even layers do it on the second layers too if needed, so you dont have to use so much hair anymore intead of 8 pieces you could be off with 4 to 6 clip ins :) hope you like the tip, thanks for sharing with us.

Carol Crottie: thanks for sharing. you are very talented and brave.

derya kilic: Perfect matching ;)

Blazee Blazeee: hi where do you get your extensions from just curious

marialavinia9410: how much do your extentions weight?

brianna culley: Next time can you back up so we can see the full length of the hair? Is like to see how natural it looks/moves

Patricia Hickman: Where do you purchase the wefts?

Princess: Looks beautiful, but i don't think i could take so many wefts in my head, might as well wear a wig =/...anyways great video it literally goes undetected if you're inside i guess a little gush of wind and it'll show...

TGN dillon: they look real good but seriously i think id be so uncomfortable wearing that many i used to be able to just wear 2 4 lines and since i had my hair cut shoulder length i think im gonna need more :(

Alexandra Miller: u blend really well

cheerchicka298: You are so talented !!!

purple peace: do you have to get a perm to have them blend

Estefany Anell Ortega Luna: Can you make a tuyorial on the makeup you have on ! Please.

MissVloger: i loooooooooove ur videos so much! subbed!!
