Low Ponytail With Clip In Extensions On Natural Hair 4C | Hairstyles I Don'T Like On Me

The straight back low ponytail hairstyle is one look I stay clear of. Why? Well, I think it looks weird on me. Maybe cause of my big head, big shiny forehead, or weird "I get it from my daddy" hairline. Well, I decided to no longer let that hold me back. The low ponytail is a look I absolutely love on others and here is my journey to loving it on me. In the video, I do the low ponytail with clip in extensions using Her Given Hair Coily Hair 18 inches Clip-in. Check it out, tell me what you think. What'S up Kings, it is nappy foo all up on your screen and today is a vet nap life video. Is there a hairstyle that you think look cute on others, but not so much on yourself? Well, today, I'm doing one of those styles, I'm not a fan of the straight back style on me. Maybe it's a big head thing, a big forehead thing I don't know, but technically I should let that stop me right. Well. On that note, here we go. Let'S get into this style, y'all ready, have your food checking in leggo, welcome back team kinks and thanks for letting me be all up on your screen once again, if you happen to be new to this channel, I hope you liked today's video and you consider joining Team Kings, the clippings that I'm using in today's video was the same ones that I did the quality test on from her giving hair I'd answered a curious question that I had on whether or not influencers receive better quality than others make sure you check that video Out so you can have more details about the clippings I'm using today. Today'S my sponsors is her giving hair. Since I am using their clippings. You know they're willing to sponsor girl. Ok, so let's go ahead and get started into these clippings. We got to start with cleaning it and prepping it, because I received these clippings and a color that does not match my hair. We'Re gon na have the color it starting off with the shampoo. Of course, you got a clean, clean, clean, clean up, clean up cleaning. The dirty out, the hair, okay, making sure it is well cleansed before it touches my scalp. My hair take no chances, even if the company says we wash it before. We send it to you. I beg please let me wash it again. I beg please no insult. No, no darling, no vex, please anywho! When you are ready to color your hair, you can send my permanent. You have to wear gloves. Y'All do not use right. I mean some people still color with no gloves and they get stained all over the fingers. But if your nails, looking cute like mine, looking cute, you don't want to take that chance. Okay, anyway, I'm using the adora off that off black color adores, a very popular semi-permanent color. You can find in your local beauty supply store. I will go ahead and put a link in description box where you can find it online. Okay, so newsprints working this color in making sure it gets every single strand. So nobody is left behind, okay and so now that it's all set. I'M gon na put into a plastic bag and let the colors soak in and sit here. We are 45 minutes later, I'm gon na rinse everything out and now I'm gon na condition it. When it comes to my we've and wigs and all that kind of stuff. I like to use rinse out conditioner, so I'll use, awesome oiz. I will use Tresemme I'll use, swab professionals, those are my three top favorite, oh and her beau essence. Those are my three favorite ones so or my four favorite brands to use on my weaving wigs. I don't really use it on my hair that often, but you know, if I do it'll still be one of those all right Joe. So we're done, hair is colored. One beets gon na match mine, and that is what we're looking for now we're ready to go ahead and get the clip in extravaganza started and style it. So, as you can see, the clip is took to the color really well. 1B. That'S the way to be. I really like how to find these coils are on these clip ins. The beauty of clip ins is that you really can make whatever style you want. Okay, I'm gon na get my front section sectioned off to go ahead and accomplish today's look. As I stated before, that one hairstyle, you always think you look weird on and how I told you. I have one it's the straight back, ponytail style. I absolutely love it on other people, but I've always been kind of reluctant to try it on myself, so we're gon na go ahead and bust that bubble today. Okay, so, as you can see, I'm just taking a different number of clippings two for one, the for comb, 1, 3, comma, 1 and working my way up. I'M spacing in about two fingers apart cuz. I don't want it too full! You know. I don't want the ponytail too thick. Also, don't want it too thin. So keep that in mind when you are going to use clippings, make sure you gauge and measure you know what you want the outcome to be. So let me go ahead and work. My friend I've had two two strand twists in my hair, probably the whole week. I had it in two braids with two cornrows, underneath the wig I'm gon na brush out my front so that it can be smooth when I do slick it back the more it stretched out. It is the easier it be for me to do such things so whoa, I'm giving y'all too much RunAs here, okay, you know looking at this looking back at this right now. This look right here alone. It'S pretty cute, but I was dedicated doing a slicked back style as you can see, I'm maneuver or a finger through the clip managed to give it some more volume. Because again I want that. For the final look, I'm gon na use eco styler gel. I didn't want to use any hard job that will come out of my hair, easy. It will not make my hair feel, like you know, cement hard. I know he would like to use the got to be glue gel, especially on the kinkier texture, and I use it too sometimes, but on this book I want it to be soft, but as sleek as possible, yeah I haven't noticed. I don't really do sleep that much you know, then. So I'm trying to improve in that area all right, so we're gon na pull this all the way back. We'Ve double banded it with the rubber band or with the ponytail holder, I'm putting more gel now. As far as laying in my edges, y'all ready know how I feel about that. So whatever baby here wants to naturally and easily come out, that's what I'm gon na, let that's what I'm allowing to come out and hang out with me: okay, hey! So my little bit of baby hairs is out there. Okay got this, got the gel working on the hair. We have to get all that flat flat. Okay, you already know we're gon na do to do that. Use a scarf okay, so I'm gon na let this set, as I finished, getting ready for work. Alright, Charles! So it's been about 30 minutes and let me take this off wow, that's straight back! This hairstyle might not look as bad as I think it does. Hairstyle is cute itself is though it's it on me. You know, I'm saying straight back. Styles really does bring all your face out and I think I don't get it twisted she cute, but I just feel like straight back. Style is like a vulnerable style. You know. Is you it puts you out there you know saying, and I do have a tendency to not want to be so vulnerable, I'm not comfortable in vulnerable situations, whatever I don't know, but we're about to do it today. Alright, this is a no foundation. Look. I have concealer on and said eyeliner mascara a little eyebrow, no lip gloss little bit of blush Dancy, I'm giving a simple ain't got time, alright, nd on my way to work from late, so three hours into work, I thought it'd be kind of cool to do A little clip and just check in see what kind of reactions I've been getting and how I'm feeling about the hair, and now that I'm you know all out and about with it, okay, so it's been, I got to talk about three right now. It'S 6 o'clock. I'Ve had so far. Where did you cut your hair? Then they get closer like oh okay, you didn't cut cherry like he was bald. That'S what somebody say and then somebody who actually knows me beyond works was like you do like you're better right now. I have someone a study actually like this look back. Look on me. It does bring out their feast on my face anything kinda great for your face. Only thank you most importantly, I'm starting to like it and it's not as big deals. I thought it was like. I don't look very straight back here. It'S all about how you Rocky I'm starting to feel comfortable. It'S very free, my hair off my face like I'm starting to like this, and that's that's what's most important, I think the clip is held up very well for this style. It looks like my hair, and that is one of the beautiful things and convenient things about clippings right. Not only can you clip in a key your hair, any type of way you want, but look at that. It really blends in very well and that's what clippings are for that's, why some of us Naturals who love it? Oh there, you better work that shoulder ponytail got me feeling myself. Sometimes you really could be your worst critic, and you have no reason to be so today, just kind of reiterates that it's not really the look per se, it's the confidence behind it be confident yourself. If you are confident in yourself, you can rock anything right. I know I struggle with that. I feel like sometimes certain things just make me look off. Make me look weird, but that's all in my mind. Of course, it just depends on a situation. You know I say like I would look weird with a aring going from this end to this end, like I can't be doing that in my life, but there's just certain things that actually might induce your features and your thinking it will diminish it. Just give it a try, see what happens and it might change your mind. Oh well straight backs down. I don't look as weird as I thought, so you might see more of y'all a little bit well now we have come to today. Snapchat question. I want to know from you team kinks, give me one popular hairstyle, or maybe it's not that popular whatever it be that one hairstyle you say to yourself: you were never doing your natural hair. Let me know what style it is and why don't you wan na try it remember. Your response would definitely help another kink out thanks in advance. I hope you enjoyed today's video if you did, please go ahead and help your girl out by hitting that subscribe button and make sure you hit the bell right next to it. So you can be notified the next time that I am all up on yo screen. Also, if you're bored during the week come on to hang out with me on Instagram snapchat Facebook. All of that, all of that I will catch up on the next one. Until then, my sister, my brother, my cousin, my friend, my mentor, my nail tech, my hairstylist, which is me I don't have any really health studies. What about that? I mean that yeah in order to have healthy, hair, mind body soul, anything you've gots to do healthy things consistently. Never food check it out.

iSouljourney: I love how it shows off your cheekbones and natural beauty. Slicked back will do that to ya

AngelaYessire: I'd never wear the "wet look" because I cant be putting pounds of gel in my hair just for it to take a millennial to dry and not even look the way I want lol

Vonetta Pratt: The straight back style on you looks great I think it brings your features out in a good way and the simplicity of your make was all that!

Erchella: I'm there with you! I hate the vulnerability of having my whole face and head just wide open and out there lol. You rocked this Lo-po though! I don't ever see myself trying bantu knots as a style to be worn out. It creates a cute twist out but I can't do it in it's twisted state. I don't feel it suits my face and style. I always think Mel B Spice life. lol It seems so fly on others just not for me lol.

Hope Amore: You did a great job girl! Your face and head shape are beautiful!

Monica Hernandez: lol That "big" head holds BIG knowledge, BIG dreams, and controls one of the BIGGEST hearts here on Youtube

Mrs. L Louis: You're right, ALL that matters is how you feel about yourself. Thanks for sharing

1 E Diva: I will never do the wet look. I don't want to deal with tangles.

Marie Lee: Say that girl! Being confidence will help you get over some stuff, like people's opinion.

lil ghostie: I'm the exact same way! I can't always trust myself to be attracted to new things. This is why sometimes I go with the thing that will make me uncomfortable. And I usually learn that I loved it all along but was too set in my ways to give it a real chance. I look forward to more fearless, slick back looks from you!

Ebizzill: i want to let you all know that this hair extension matches really well to a 3strand twist out especially if you're 4b-4c or somewhere in between. (Make sure you either do a bantu knot on them ends to set them in if you got scraggly ends before taking them out into a twist out) ..okay.. carry on

Samantha Arduin: The wetlook. Girl I see tangles, tangles and more tangles on my type 4 hair lol..

Chic Mommy: I used to think I could never wear my hair pulled back or a middle part. Now, I wear both proudly and enjoy it. Amazing what years of living will do to your self esteem! I like the pulled back look on you too!

heyfranny: Ms NappyFu, this style is an easy slay. It looks great on you. I love how you didn't have to use a fourth of a cup of gel to achieve it. If I had to choose a style I wouldn't try it'd have to be the wet look, too much gel. I wouldn't even try it on dirty hair "OKAY" lol

Carla Toppins: You Slayed this Look it's True Fiya on you Sis. Ty, I needed something for this 'Lamb's Wool' this Summer.

Fay Bury: I like the method you did to attach the clip ins before slicking your hair, i'm going to try that. The end result was cute! It did take me a while to get comfortable wearing my hair pulled back into a bun but now i rock it!

beginning2beautify: It looks beautiful on you! You inspired me to do the same style but with a braid. Love all of your videos and many thx for repping for us 4c ladies

KO Doom: This is probably my FAVORITE look on you. It's incredibly flattering. Your features look awesome with a sleek pony.

Dawanna Munnings: I use to feel so insecure about wearing my hair straight back because I thought my forehead was 'too big' for it but now I love it and its almost all I wear lol. And its convenient.

Myeisha Thompson: “Don’t get it twisted she cute!” Yes!! I like it on you it looks real cute girl, super cute. This is one of my favorites as well the sleek back ponytail and the half-up half down top knot. My fivehead and shape of my face (heart-shaped) is not set up for these styles....but you know what NappyFu....Imma do it....imma do it. Ugh...yeah...okay imma do it Yes i wash any hair I buy even latched braiding hair, if I don’t my hair ITCHES like crazy!

Dina Johnson: When I had relaxed hair I could ROCK any style... Now that I’m natural..... No: Wash n go Two strands/twist out Leave out Finger coils Wet look Mini twists Bantu knot/out Reason: thin hair, and you see more scalp than hair! Also, I like to use as little product on my hair as possible so over gelling it feels icky and sticky and looks tacky to me

NLT4Ever #1: Still waiting for my hair to be long enough to do any ponytail.

Margaret White: Wash -n-go...due to mad shrinkage. Also the wet look.

Renee Morris: Ever since I started listening and following you, my hair is growing. Ya Girl, you are the real deal. Want to see you more on YouTube, weekly!

Debra J: Hey NappyFu, I think you did a good job on your sleek ponytail. I have a "fo-head" and when I rock the sleek ponytail sometimes I do the parts, crochet bang, or hair jewels.

H A: For me it would be straightening my hair, the wet look and wash n gos, too much work and product used for something thats gonna last for 2 seconds lol

Caramel Submerged: Girl we "drag" insecurities around when we are usually the only one with our own self image and perception under a microscope; everybody else is battling for their own lives, too busy to notice a perceived "large forehead "; as a proud owner of a prominent forehead I slick my hair back and serve nothing but face girl ! You can't tell me nothing ! Lmao! You look chic and sophisticated; I am here for the look and for you!

Healy Means: Great video NappyFu. Ponytail and clip-ins look really nice. I would try almost any style...if I knew how to do it My daily style is a loose bun. On the weekends, I pretend to try styles, but usually just let my hair wild out and be free from being "contained" all week.

Coca-Moca -: Yes gurrrl... slay to the GODS.. you look gorgeous... I will never do the wash and go.. I come out looking like the dollar store knock off black barbie EVERY TIME.. the one where the hair shribbles after the first day u bought it..lol‍♀️

Shai Smith: You look gorgeous ! I’m glad you went outside your comfort zone !

Paula Cunningham: I wouldn’t do a Wash and go on my 4c hair because of knots to come as my hair dries ..it would be all bad for me.

shireen rennie: I totally understand how you feel about the slick back look. I never ever do it either. I think my forehead is to much for it. But thanks for this encouraging video

msgigglesbaby: I tried the slick back style on my hair in May. My hair is too thick and uneven. I used 5 gels and moose and it was still frizzy. It looks good on you

4Exquisite Service: I've had the kinky coily Her given hair clip ins for about 3 years. I've never worn them. I'm considering wearing them this weekend. I want to order the blow out set that you have in your other vid.

Jessica Bloxom: I don't do wash n gos bc I don't have the patience and the way my hair looks when it's wet isn't the same way it looks when it dries. My hair shrinks up a lot and it looks more frizzy. Type 4 problems. I do wanna try the Anthony dickey method. I also wasn't comfortable where my natural hair out in twists but I did it last week and I was surprised lol

Lady D Karrington: I think I would struggle with an up do, my kitchen is rebellious, even with gel after a few hours I LOVE that look on You!!! You have a beautiful face, stunning personality and keep it real character....love ya!!!

alison hilaire: You do have beautiful features: cheek bones and strong chin! I don't really have hairstyles I'm afraid to try since I shaved my head to a fade 4 years ago. So after that, any style with hair is good for me lol. However, when I gain weight and I start to have a double or even triple chin because my chin is naturally weak and I tend to gain weight in my face and upper body... I hide my face under a lot of hair lol. You mentionned that you did not have a hair stylist. I think it would be so cool if you did a vlog where you go to a hair salon! Of course, I know that you need to find a godd one and also have the money for it...

H A: NappyFu, you look good! Your personality reminds me of Issa Rae!

Wanyenze: Girl, I have a five head and still rock this style. back 2 back!

lynda chalker: Down in the comments who was shook to see simon cowell? Awww nappy you took the day. That style looking slick. I dint understand how you did them clips tho! Do you attach em on your twists?

Natural Girl Pretty: @Nappy Fu Thank you for this video! I really needed to hear this because I felt the same way about the sleek look (forehead insecurities too). I’m going to rock a sleek look this week! Thank you #curlfriend!

Allison Gous: You look great! I also don't try sleek styles often.

can i kickit: The straight back is my enemy too....I have a round face and thinning edges soooooo.....yeah It's a problem loool

Nicole Ford: You look absolutely beautiful with this straight back ponytail .

Desta Murray: That hairstyle is wonderful on you! I'm shy with the faux hawk, it's just a bit wild for me ‍♀️

hiinsanity: Hi! I don't mean to bug you but I need some advice. My mom has been taking me to salons and perming, relaxing, texturing, and blowing out my hair since I was about 10. Whenever she does my hair she complains that it is too nappy and unmanageable. Everytime I tell her I wanna go natural she says no because she is the only one who is gonna deal with it and still tries to perm it and press it. I believe my hair is damaged. I'm 15 now and I can't remember a day I've seen my hair in its natural pattern (Its long and what my mom claims to be healthy). My hair is growing and I haven't been to the salon in about 4 months because I had got braids once it thickened again. I noticed that the hair close to the roots seems to be 4c MAYBE 4b but the coil is tight and small so I think its 4c. Its only about a inch of it that has this pattern though because the rest is like this crispy wave pattern. Natural hair has really been being embraced lately and I never knew my hair could look like this. I think its beautiful and even though its hard to manage and time consuming its worth it. Anyway I've been thinking about transitioning or maybe cutting my hair to get her off my back in hopes of getting my pattern back, she really doesn't want me messing in my hair and says I need the right stuff because its so unmanageable so can you recommend any products for possibly saving my hair or restarting?

MetaFoxxikal’92: “Don’t get it twisted, she cute” she really is

vernice steward: Hi nappyfu! First off I love you and your channel! You always brighten my day everyday and I thank you for that<3 I was wondering what you requested with your nails? They’re so pretty! Shape and color! Thank you and have a blessed and beautiful day❤️

Faith MGW: You look beautiful with the slick back look ☺️ for me cornrows going straight back I can not pull off whatsoever

SmoothGoddess213: ❤❤You look good, girl! ❤❤Thanks for showing me something new. Normally, I do a crochet ponytail; however, this is summer - friendly.

Cloudythesun: You’re so pretty those cheek bones can see more of your eyes loving this look!

SuperstarYolie: Once I got old enough to make my own decision about my hair I refused to wear an afro. I was skinny, flat chested and wore an afro and/or jerry curl and although I wore a dress or skirt, people used to call me a cute little boy. Now that I'm going natural I can't bring myself to wear an afro although I love them and envy those with the confidence to rock them.

Lori Lynette: Girl you look absolutely queen status beautiful with the slick back!!!

Head Games Beauty: girl...this look brings out your eyes...go head n rock this look. try a side swoop next time...that would be a pretty variation on the theme:)

Justine Horton: Love the look on you!!!! I like the look on occasion, but liked the side part slick look. Though I prefer the loose ponytail or bun with my natural bangs out.

Lynda K: Honey, you are funny and preach good self-confidence at the same time. Blessings

Rhonda: Love it! You look beautiful. I used to feel the same way about my forehead.

Sebastián Corral: This style actually looks pretty good on you.

Lady Princess Acrylic Kingdom: This looks good on you. But the dreaded french roll(that just won't die in america) will never touch my head.

JP Richardson: For me it’s a NO for the middle part! I have been team side part, left or right, for the last 30 years. I can not rock that middle part in my opinion

Danielle Sappleton: Wash and go—don’t need that breakage in my life!

SistahBear1: I don’t want to try the wet look or wash n gos. My hair is prone to tangles and both would be a detangling nightmare. Kudos to people that do.

MB: You always make me laugh, LOL! The style looks good!

NicNacAttack: Okay, Ponytail! Awesome job thanks for sharing this! I wouldn't do a half up half down with weave. My slick down does not slay hard enough to do these weave justice. No texture really matches my 4c texture, luster, etc ‍♀️ but I might keep looking

Ashley Iverson: I would actually try any hair style as long as I put the work in to learning how to do it first.

sboogie147: This style looks great! Makes your face look very pretty

Belinda Sanders: You look great. .I would not do the wet look or straw set. I'm too lazy for a straw set. I'm wash n go girl, but I'm not about to pile that much gel on my hair. My scalp itches just watching the videos.

Al2Br3 Love: Looking good sis.u should do more often cuz u rockin it

Syran_Night: That ponytail looks gorgeous on you.

Valz Art Lounge: TBH I don't think there is any style I wouldn't at least TRY on my natural hair.

Natural_Niky: Girl you betta stop playing. This pony really brings out your eyes with the eyeliner and stuff. Your eyes look amazing omg

Mary Clarke: Looks good on you. I will pass on this style on me!

videosabia: Glad I clicked on this video and watched. I must say I do think you look better with your hair pulled back - we can see you! (and I like it).

Marie Walker: U look good GIRL!!! IT really brings out your cheekbones. You are beautiful and because of your personality and your love FOR OUR KING AND FATHER allows your beauty to shine both ways: inside out and outside in. Love you my sister and hope you have abundant favor and prosperity.

Glo Ria: Ooh you’re so pretty!! You should rock this way more often because it suits you reallyyy good

Dube Love: You look gorgeous! Love this style on you

Skyla Woolridge: As much as it looks cute on others... Wash and.... no. Every time it looks like I'm wearing a 90's freeze. smh its gel not pump it up ppl ugh lol

Alexandria Brown: It's nice to see black women uplifting NappyFu when she shares her vulnerability.

Nikki J _23: I don’t think I can get with the wet look. It requires tooooooo much gel, and as a 4c natural myself I don’t see that being a style that would last long. A day or two is just not worth the time you have to put in for that look. You look fine with your hair back, but I totally understand where your coming from. It’s definitely having confidence within yourself. Which isn’t always easy to do! ROCK IT GIRL!!!!

Law Abiding Citizen: The 'sho nuff' hair style.(pony on top, hair down in back) every time i try, it looks like some stole my activator and turn off the moisture supply. Also space puffs looks like oh the tangle web we weave. cant take that chance.

A. W.: I think you look pretty with this style!

Tracey Boyland: True. I cannot wear straight back either. I really want to. It's a cute style. Wear your pony fluffier tho!

Confidence Oparaocha: This sleek down gel hairstyles are no no for me. Am happy to come out of the shower my hair get the steam and I smooth the edges and tie a scarf laying hair down; am totally ok with that. With 4c hair am scared of tangles and gel breakage. The hairstyle suit you, although I preferred your fluffy afro looks.

dvni xvi: I CANNOT do a wash and go or the wet look, even if I tried, and trust me, I tried. My hair just does not do that my hair is just a big mane of frizz that doesn’t like to get defined

HotPlasma: Would never do wet look (too much gel) and braid extensions (over sensitive scalp).

Danaé Lauren Tolbert: You look cute. I gotta 5 head and I still wear low buns and ponytails. I don't care for the wet look. It's too flat! You might as well wear a pony. Also it reminds me of a Duke Jheri curl.

Curlyhead Rain: Great video I really enjoyed this ❕❕And the hair looks amazing

Savita Ram: Chile, I think most styles look weird on me. I only have two that I'm actually comfortable with. ‍♀️

Tara Coach: Absolutely beautiful!!! You look great Nappyfoo ❤️

C Thomas: I have this same problem . I always have my hair in my face because I don't like showing my forehead . I've been experimenting with wearing puffs now .

LaKeshia B: I think that it looks wonderful on you. You're right, it does bring out your features BUT you have a beautiful face. You betray work it!!!

Marla Morris: Come back!!!! Be the voice of reason!!! They out here washing their hair with Dawn dish soap and conditioning with lotion. Help!!! We need a real natural voice crying out STOP in the wilderness.

jenny Jenny: You make pretty look easy..perfect miss lady

Light Singh: I love you girl I have hair styles and cloths all kinds of stuff I think makes me look off/odd/strange that I don't try but we have to be courageous is all

trinkerbell: It looks really good imma try this aswell

jay jay: I actually wouldn't do the same hairstyle because my forehead lol but you gotta get out of your comfort zone sometimes. And you look gorgeous

Hamdi Abdalla: U look cute i hate the slicked back look. It makes my double shin stand out and my fivehead aswell

Shanna Kay: Lol this same hairstyle....i have bucked teeth, man that will so put it out there. I'll try it next weekend and if I'm comfortable I'll post it on FBpage
