Hey guys welcome back to my channel today, I'm gon na be doing a review, slash how I apply my Bellamy clip in hair extensions, okay, so first I just want to start off by saying for those of you who don't know, I am a hair stylist. I'Ve been collectively in the industry for about 18 years, with some breaks in between recently last year. Actually, myself and my coworker and really good friend, we took a hair extension chorus that was hosted by love is in the hair in Toronto. It was a Bellamy for Method workshop once I got to experience I've heard about me for a long time, but once I got to experience hands-on working with their hair, I fell in love immediately, and so, when I heard of the opportunity to become an affiliate and Work with them and share with the world how amazing their products are, I jumped on it right away. Obviously so today, what I'm going to be bringing to you guys is their clip-in hair extensions. So Bellamy has a professional side. However, they do also have a general public retail side, and with that you can jump on their website and purchase any they have some hot tools: some hair products, I believe, and their clip in hair extensions for those of you who aren't really interested in the long Term temporary hair extensions - this is a great alternative. It'S definitely much more affordable. You can use them for a day. You can use them for an hour. I do like that versatility, where you don't want to commit to. You know a few weeks of where you just want to wear it, for when you need it and it call it a day, so I'm gon na jump right into it. Before I talk your ears off, I know how all of you love that. So this is the packaging that I received. Beautiful, pink packaging always wins me over the color I got was off black number one B and it's called silk seam 18 inch and it's 140 grams of hair. When you do get the package yourself, you'll have the opportunity. Color match your hair first, so I've already opened it. It would be here in this little container or this little compartment. So you, basically both sections come in a nice little neat hairnet and one of the smaller wefts will be in this section here and it'll. Give you the opportunity to color match your hair to the product. You can test out your hair. If it doesn't match you send the product back, it's still in good tact. They work with you in getting the correct color out to you. So once you've colored matched, you can now move on to the big compartment where there will be all of the hair in a hairnet which is now in the garbage and all the hair. Just like you guys, you just you, don't understand the soft silky feel of this I mean you. Hair feels great, but like Bellamy is next level so, like I mentioned, I am a professional hair stylist, so I have my own swatch for all their colors. So I was able to color match prior to ordering and get a pretty decent match. However, Quarantine made me do something which was balayage my own hair, and so I went a bit lighter for like few weeks and then when I got it, it no longer matched. So I was like: do I return it or do I just go back to dark, as I always do so I went back to dark and that matched and I don't go to wait okay, so you will get in your package in your kit in your whatever You want to call it different lengths of what I'm just trying to stay organized and I definitely don't have a table in front of you. Sorry, so I'll get to two clip wets to three clipped go see the clips here and then 1/4 clip. So it's a longer piece now how you place these is kind of per head of hair. I can show you how I do it myself to give you somewhat of a guideline. However, people just have different densities of hair, so it's kind of hard to say this is the way you do it. You know so I'm just gon na show you how I do it and you can try the same if it doesn't work for you play around with it, move the pieces around to better suit the look you're going for or the fullness that you need in whichever Area it is so yeah with that being said, I'm just gon na go ahead and jump into showing you guys how I would clip these in for myself, so I'm gon na go ahead and part my hair at the lowest part or the lowest section. If anyone says anything about my nails, I'm very disappointed in you. You should know better considering we are in quarantine. Okay, it's just rude! It'S just rude! I'M gon na start with a part just behind my ears, so from one ear to the other straight across easy peasy, I'm gon na take just a small amount and tease it. This is where this is, where your clip will sit and by teasing it you're, just giving your hair a little more security and something for the clip to grab onto so I'm going to start with the three clips left, you just unsnap them and then with your Hand you find the center part to that okay, so I'm gon na go literally like an inch right above that and I'm just gon na freehand it like I said everyone has different hair markers, different hair lines. It'S not really a standard as to how to just a guideline now, if I was going out to a special event or something where I know, I'm gon na be wearing them for a long period of time. Not only would I tease but I'd spray with some hairspray texturizing spray, something to kind of give it some grit and hold because, specifically for my hair, my hair is very like shiny and straight so, although many people ask - oh my god, have you got your hair, Like that, like when your hair doesn't have grit, your hair doesn't hold so yeh nice, shiny hair, but good luck trying to get it to do anything you want, because all it does is just slip right out and want to fall flat. So if I was going out, I would be spraying it to give it some grit and some hold for the hair. Now that those two are in, we have three pieces left, so we have the two clip and we have the one four clip left now. One thing I will say in the past I've received or in the past I've purchased sets that have more wes than this more pieces. So the only downfall, I would say, is there's not much hair. This is the 140 grams set and it's 18 inches in length. So that might be the issue I just chose a less dense set, but personally I would have liked to see more pieces in the set so I'll. Keep that in mind going forward when I decide to repurchase or you know if I need to get more okay. So now I'm gon na go at about where my temples are like. You know, and go back now, there's so many ins and outs to extensions. It'S so hard to really like hey, I'm gon na make like one video and just throw it up and like good luck. Everyone just because hair is just so different and I obviously can't help but think of it from a professional point of view and when people call us for extensions and they're like so how much and it's like, I got to see your hair no one's same. So my approach is going to be different depending on you know how much hair you have the length, the texture, all kinds of things, because for me, I'm gon na stop about here and maybe go up a little bit more with the front pieces. But some people can't handle so much hair on their head because you'll see it and you want it to be discrete and things like that. There'S a lot of different factors, but we're gon na try and keep this simple straight forward. So now I'm gon na move on to my four clipped piece: I'm not a hundred percent sure where the clips will land. So now, I'm gon na tease it off right. We'Re getting yeah we're good nap that for me my hair is cut a long time ago into an angled bob. So I have a very blunt hair line that is going to be hard to camouflage, but I'm gon na. Let that get to me alright. So now I'm gon na move on to my last two pieces. Now these I'm gon na try and focus more on the front to kind of camouflage the rip, the natural, the real length of my hair. So I'm gon na feel and I'm pretty much gon na go where my hair dips back cuz it'll probably have the most coverage, it's a little too close to my hairline, so I'm gon na push it back a bit. So, as you can see, it's already much more camouflaged right, I'm just gon na do the other side. It'S the same thing. I'M probably gon na follow my hairline there that little guard telling me hmm mmm, iconic, he's popping up on my camera. Better not be that it's not filming cuz I'll be upset. That is the after alright guys. So that is what it looks like after it's all been clipped in and I push it all forward mind you all. The lengths are going in different, crazy directions because just came out of the box. Typically, I like to wash extensions before I use them, because there's always like a coating on them to protect them and as it washes off the hair, the hair tends to feel a little bit more natural, but that will come with time, I'm in no rush. Now, as I mentioned before, my hair has been cut very bluntly, so these underneath pieces - that are very blunt, they are a little harder to camouflage when I wear my hair straight with the extensions but there's a few tricks where you can kind of literally take like The smallest shortest portion and tie it with a very small elastic so that it stays tight to your neck and doesn't kind of poke up under here. That'S one way to do it. Another way is if you're gon na curl your extensions, it ball blends in you. Don'T really can't really tell so yeah that's what they look like. I'M gon na go ahead and film how I would style the extensions, because my hair is a blunt, shorter cut. I would probably wear these always curly wavy to kind of blend it in. In the past, I've worn extensions straight way be any which way, because my hair was kind of already cut this way, just at a shorter length. So because the my natural style and the style of the extensions excuse me is very different. Curling, your hair is always a great way to camouflage the two different styles of the hair, so little tip, alright, guys, that's it for how you apply your extensions. Thank you so much for watching, and I hope this kind of helped and gave you some sort of guy guidance asks you how to clip them in where to kind of place them, like. I said before, everyone's hair is different. My hairline dips here, yours might not. I don't know, but this kind of what I follow when I go ahead and clip in my extensions myself, try it out for yourself. If you need to play around with positioning the world, is yours so play around with it get used to it? Sometimes you might have to position them different places to really get a feel for okay, this blends in much more naturally than that.
