Hi everyone and welcome back to my youtube channel. My name is jody. I hope you are all doing really really well. Thank you so so much for coming and joining me here today in my brand new video, so make sure you've got yourself a nice little hot beverage, because this might be a lengthy one. So today, i'm going to show you step by step how i apply my nano ring, hair extensions. I took mine out the other day, boo hoo, i mean how poor is this bless my cotton socks, it's unfortunate. Let'S take it down, shall we this is my hair. Without her extensions, i feel bold, i feel vulnerable. I do not feel like myself. I i'm gon na try and not talk too much, because you know me just want to get straight to the point, just a little back story. Why not? My hair is not in the best condition. Um, it's very thin. It'S lifeless it's limp. I simply cannot cope with it. Definitely all self-inflicted. My hair is naturally strawberry blonde and i've dyed my hair countless amount of times over the years. It'S been all sorts of colors. It'S been all sorts of styles. At one point, it was like down to my bum with extensions, it wasn't natural and it was jet black. That was not. That was not my finest moment, but i've always managed to get back to blonde. If you watched my vlog a couple of weeks ago, i attempted to highlight my hair using a streaking cap. It kind of did a little bit of something but nothing to write home about. I cannot wait for the hairdressers to reopen, so i can go and have my hair done properly yeah. So every couple of months or so i go - and i just have like highlight - do a little trim and she'll always say: are you gon na put your extensions back in and i'm always like? No, we have a little break from it. I'M just gon na embrace the natural look and then within a few days the extensions are back in i just i can't help myself yeah, i mean i'm all about promoting self-love and not giving a what people think, but one thing that i can't live without is My hair extensions - i just don't feel like myself and it's that's sad. That'S really sad! I really need to get a grip of my life like we're in the middle of a global pandemic and i'm concerned about the length of my hair. I'Ve always done my own hair extensions, just because obviously hair extensions are very, very expensive. They are definitely an investment, but it is something that you're going to wear every single day. I do believe in spending a little bit of money on them, so i have had clip-ins, i just don't i just i find them too bulky. I tried to have a break before christmas like and just just wear clipping extensions and give my hurt my natural hair a break, but i just can't do it maybe one day i will, but until that time we we're just going to live at her extension life. Honeybee, so i'm here to show you how i achieve it so stay tuned, and i really really hope you enjoy it. So i really really hope this works. Okay. So to start, what do we need? It'S one of them things like once you get started once you get the first couple like i always show i've done my own hair extensions for years and even like the first couple is a little bit of a struggle. But as soon as you get like a bit of a rhythm with it, it just sort of comes naturally, and i try and take my mind off it. So like i'll watch, a film or i'll put a series on and it does take a little while. But you do get there in the end. I'Ve had a weave before, but i just find them too bulky and because my own hair is quite fine, i tend to see it and what nanos i feel like are the best, in my opinion, type of hair extension. So the ones that i use are the beauty works. Celebrity choice, nano bonds, so these just some left over from when i last did them think with beauty works. I do think you need to be um a qualified hairdresser or have some sort of certificate which i do have so i went on a training course a couple of years ago. It was a training course in manchester. I can't even remember what the company was. The cost has saved me so much money, because obviously i can fit these myself now. I like the fact that obviously yeah it does take a little while, but i can just do it in the comfort of my own home and like watch a film and and whatever else, but i i kind of like it. I find it very, very therapeutic right. So i use the beauty works, celebrity choice, nano bond, hair extensions, are reusable beautiful, remy, hair double drawn and you get 50 grams in a pack, that's 50 strands so like each one of these is a gram and they come and the tip is like this, but I don't even know if you'll be able to see it, because it is clear why i got four packs, but i didn't actually need them all. I probably only needed three packs. I only needed, like 150 grams, so i did have some left over two colors. I got viking blonde and another one i'll put it on the screen. I can't remember, but the because i wanted like a two shades of blonde so like a darker ashy blonde and then obviously like a lighter blonde. So what you will need is fluff clips. Oh, the those flat clips that come with the ghd hood straighteners are probably a better option, but i can't find any so we'll just have to work with what we've got and i usually use bubbles and stuff. It'S very unprofessional. The way i do it, but you know me a comb. I got these off ebay everything i'm using. I will link down below, like i said, with the beauty, works hair extensions. I do think you need um a certificate so that your hairdresser are that you've qualified in doing her extensions to be able to order from them. But i will try my best to find a website that supplies hair extensions to just someone who hasn't got the certificate. So we'll try my best to try and find that, but i thought this might be handy for someone that has actually had them installed by a hairdresser and then obviously, during lockdown, you've not been able to go and have them redone. I thought that might be handy. So you can like like take them out and then put them back in. You will need these. I don't know what these are called they're like a a loop, we'll link them down below. If you can see those are the little nano bonds that go on to that and what you do i'll, try and show you up close, because obviously, i'm just gon na i'm gon na start from behind yeah. So with this, what you will do grab a tiny bit of hair, obviously you're not gon na, do it, where i'm doing it right now, i'm just doing this to show you tiny bit of hair. Put your fingers through the loop pull the hair through the loop and then push the nano bond onto the hair, at which point you'll get the hair you'll pop it into the nano ring or the nano bead. Has that even gone in so you pop it in there like that, at which point you will need your pliers, so these are proper pliers for doing the hair extensions. However, i do have a pair of normal pliers just out of the old toolbox. You know so you don't need those ones you can just use so some of your dad's toolbox if necessary, then you will just clamp down on that as tight as you. Can i'm obviously not going to do it right on my hairline, because that would be silly. Wouldn'T it yeah so usually i'll clamp it down as tight as i can tight as i can and then give the the strand a little pull, and then you are good to go on to the next one. The one bit of this whole process that i cannot stand is putting the little beads onto these things. I hate it. So what i'll do is i'll load a couple of these up full you need to sort of leave a bit of a gap at the top. You need enough room to fit your fingers through so that you can pull the hair through, but other than that, i don't think, there's anything else that i need to cover right now as we are going along. If there is anything, then obviously i will inform but yeah i'm going to put a little series on my little laptop and get cracking. I hope you find this inspirational and informative. So, okay, so here is the final result and you can see i've obviously not styled it yet, but i will do that. I will style it and i will show you so like i said it does. Take me a little while and battery's dying, but i quite enjoy the process. If you're going to do it yourself, please leave a comment down below and let me know or you could dm me on instagram, it's joe b underscore if you've got any questions whatsoever. If you need my help with anything, then i will be happy to help other than that. I really really hope you enjoyed this video

Lisa Clough: Omg that looks amazing!!! I’ve done my own for years but never nano bead. Going to give this a go. Thankyou for the tips and links

Najat Alfahham: I do my own micro rings (180) 1g I tips takes me about 4/5 hours on myself. I can’t imagine doing the back of my head with nano rings and how long it would take but it’s so much more beautiful

Char Godwin: Looks amazing! Going to give it a go in a few weeks

Linda Øversveen: That Lions amazing I’m doing my own extensions as well! I have microloop extensions, and they are so nice and soft. Im struggeling a bit on The back of my head And it takes me a half day to put them in Im living in Norway, and it is so expencive to do it in a saloon! About 1000-1800$ I can’t afford that Do you have any tips for how I can do it faster? Best regards from Linda

Jessica Hambleton: I definitely need to try this myself! Always thought it was much more complicated! They look so good xx

boriqua510: Wow that looks amazing. I ghat micro bead extensions in for a year prepandemic and what I hated about it was that my hair is so thin that you could see the tracks whenever I wore a ponytail or bun. I’m hoping if I tray nano beads next my tracks won’t show

cey da: Love it ❤️❤️ I do me hairex. By myself since 10 years. I like the weave with microring the most.

Darissa Robillard: You’re stunning Are these your favourite technique for thinner hair ? I always have used micro tapes but I’m sick of the glue since I remove them myself before my next install. Xx

Natalie Sehmi: How long did it take to do your hair? I’ve been doing mine an it feels like ages! Ahh xx

Maev': Wow! It is one thing to get them installed by someone else but it is another to do them yourself! You gotta have a lot of patience. I also have fine hair! Would you say that nano beads extensions are good for fine hair? What are the pros and cons?

Lindsey Waldrip: YES GIRL! Thank you for this!

supertink80: This was so helpful! I have a couple nano silicone rings and the nano tip extensions in to see if they stay. My hair is thin and fine and every other extension type slides out within 24 hours. Complete waste of money!

emily garner: Do you find the silicone bits irritate your head at all? I’ve had mine in for just a few days now and my heads itchy because the silicone bits are so long!

Stephanie Lemm: I’m wanting to take a course for extensions from a company on who train you online. I’m disabled and struggle with certain tasks and the classic hairdressers aching shoulder so I know it will take me longer if I can even do it at all I can’t get into a salon and have found no mobile hairdressers in Barnsley who have been good so far. Im wanting a sombre adding a richer deep brown and ashy/caramel/lighter brown mix I really miss hairdressing and hoped this could be easy to get back doing something I love. How do you get your extensions the same length and also your layers blended without scissors? I wear my hair up a lot but I want to get cracking on this now so I finally will have long hair I can get used to before my wedding. If I can make a go of this we are thinking of converting our garage and adding wash basin and treatments I’d like to think this could be popular to have done in a salon plus business wise there aren’t many utilities/overheads, Are you a mobile hairdresser? Or do you work in a salon? What’s the price for a mobile hairdresser? Which extension type is the most popular amongst your clients and do you add other services like cuts/blow dry’s/curls/toners/ treatments/scalp massages and colours extra to make sure you get perfect hair for your client? How much do you charge ontop of the extensions price is there a certain percentage you add depending on length and clients wishes? Which hair do you use and is it naturally curly/straight or wavy as I enjoy wearing my hair in curls and waves? I was never a fan of the middle parting but now my fringe is longer I can have a more natural look to my hair bending it to shape my face. I can’t message you on other sites but if it’s ok I’d love some more insight thanks x

melissamartoranax: My beads won’t fit into my loop for some reason there too small , what size beads did you use ? x

Jasmine Bratton: Hi their, how many packs of hair did you need to purchase to do a full head and what grams please. Looking at getting some myself jw if I'll need more that one pack or will one be just enough, you look beautiful btw xx

CakeFace: Wow they look absolutely amazing on you.. you have so much patience! I would love to give this a try.. but I think I'd have to remove them every 5 weeks to get my dark roots re-bleached at the salon.. hmm. I notice that you don't even use a mirror when putting the beads in - do you just do it by feel?

G Love: Loved this video your gorgeous BTW Hun xx

Living Love: How long do they stay in.. and how do you take them out? Do they make you loose alot of hair?

Tammy & Ben Adventures: Looks amazing

Mia Hell: Loooooove this! Amazing content! How many rings have you used?

Chantel Marshall: What actual toner is on your hair, as its a fab colour? x

VickDunning: you dont need to be qualified to buy from beauty works! i just bought some in lockdown!!

lianne jackson: Loved this video, how many did you get in your hair? Xx

Ri Ray: U did a great job on yourself! Did you use regular itip hair or was nano itip hair ? How long did your install last?

Clare Jayne: You may have just saved my ass ❤️

Sweetl T: Have your ever tried micro loop. There quicker process and same technique without the tool. What is the aftercare on these etc. Never know what shampoo to use x

Jade Thv: Can i use nanolinks with bundles?

Csilla M: The most important part..where you start putting them...for real.. it's hardly visible..and I have no clue where I start...and where I put on the sides other than that you are pretty

kaitlyn myers: how much hair did you end up using?

E DIX: how long did this take ?

Katie Fitz- Taylor: Great video

Jasmine: Do these shed a lot ?

aysia puckett: how many hair extensions should i buy?

Charlie Prin: If you ran your fingers through your hair would I be able to feel the beads

Avani Marie: How do these not fall out

rachel jarman: You sound like you’re from near me I wanna book you to do my extensions haha dm meeee?!
