My name is rochelle and i like to make thrifting and fashion videos, along with a little bit of beauty and just sharing my life with you guys over here. On my little corner of the internet, for most of you guys, you guys already know this, but for anyone that's new here, i love wearing hair extensions. I have very fine thin hair. I don't wear hair extensions every day, but i would say that five out of seven days when i'm styling my hair or doing my makeup and going out into the world, i do prefer wearing hair extensions of all hair extensions. I prefer clip in extensions. It'S just what works for me and i have been using hair extensions for about 10 to 12 years now, so i'm very familiar with wearing them, and i have tried so many different ones. So if you guys want to see what i think about these hair extensions and how i got the style, let's go ahead and get right on into the video. Alright, you guys, so i have just washed and blow dried. My hair. This is my natural hair. It is fine thin. I do have a lot of damage uh, but this is just what i'm working with so mott hair did end up sending me over some of their extensions. It comes in this super cute little box right here and then i ended up getting the 24 inches. I like some long hair personally. For me, i just prefer clip-ins because for me, they're really easy to put in it might just be from years of wearing extensions that i can do it really quickly, and i also just like to be able to take them out at night or if i don't Want to wear long hair all the time i can pick and choose the days that i want the long hair and when i don't so here are all the extensions right here like i said this is 24 inches and these are remy human hair. Just the traditional weft at the top, and i will say on first impressions, this hair does stay pretty thick all the way until the ends, as you guys can see, sometimes with other extension companies. It starts to really thin out at the ends and i will say that it's pretty decently thick all the way to the bottom, so that was very exciting and also noted. I have washed these when you first get extensions. They come with like this soft silky coating that they put on the hair, and i just don't personally like that. I want it to look more like my hair. My hair is not super soft and silky, so i do like to wash them before ever putting them in and installing them. I always like to use a rat tail comb and a hair clip when installing my extensions, i'm going to take my rat tail comb and i'm going to start at the base of my hair. I like to go a little bit lower than my ears, i'm just going to throw my hair up. Okay, as you guys can see, my roots are pretty dark and for my extensions i did get ones that have a darker root kind of like a highlighted. Look that fades to a light blonde, which my hair color is. I just feel for where the part is and throw them on super easy and simple, and then i just do this with the whole rest of my head i'll speed up the footage. So you guys don't have to watch it in real time, because that would be boring. Oh here is with all of the hair clipped in unstyled. I did have these last three one clip pieces, and normally i would put that at the front of my hair right here, but with this hairstyle that i'm going to show you guys, i'm actually going to leave those out um, whereas normally these are ones that i Would clip in if i was just curling my hair and leaving it straight down all right? You guys i'm going to try to do this the best i can because i can only see in my little viewfinder, but i'm going to take my comb and i'm going to take my hair from about where the tail of my eyebrow ends and i'm just going To grab it with my fingernails and kind of just smooth it on the top of my head, and then i am just going to take one of those little clear elastics that you can find at like cvs, walmart any place to sell hair supplies, and i like To take these ones just because i have pretty fine thin hair and they work better than like a big huge hair tie for me on this part of the ponytail. I do like to just give it a little bit of a tease at the very top so that it kind of stays like up and fluffy kind of like what those little uh one of those dogs, those cute little fluffy dogs. I feel like they always have this hairstyle and that's when i like to take my hairspray right now, i'm just using this aussie because it smells amazing. This is a maximum hold. I like to put that at just the top of my little pony all right. You guys here is all of the hair clipped in, as you guys can see. It literally goes all the way down to my waist. I love it as my straight iron is heating up right now i am going to apply my hair protectant. This is just from dry bar. This is the hot toddy and you're supposed to use it before straight ironing. So i just like to apply this all over. You want to protect your hair so that your extensions last longer my extensions, usually last me around a year depending on how well i take care of them. You also want to store them nice and wash them well, while my flat iron is heating up, i'm just going to get rid of any tangles and make sure that the product is completely on my hair and dried. I also will note that i like to be very careful when straightening with my extensions in because it can kind of pull at the root. So you want to be pretty delicate when straightening you don't want to like pull really really hard. So just be gentle, like i said i like to get my hair in with the hair extension so that it all kind of blends together seamlessly. I don't know if it's because i've been wearing them for so long, but they don't take me that long to install or style, i would say when getting ready. It'S maybe like 20 minutes to put all the hair in and get my hair curled or straightened and styled for the day. It'S not that long, but that could just because i've been using extensions. Since i was in high school and i'm 32 now so over 10 years of wearing extensions, i don't normally straighten all the way up to my roots either. I also leave out like quite a few inches kind of like at the base of my hair and the extensions and straighten just from the mid shaft down to the ends all right. Once i'm done straightening, i do like to give it a light comb out and then i like to use a finishing product on it. I don't use hairspray since we didn't do any curls, so i like to do something that either gives a little bit of shine or a little bit of like moisture back so something like a serum or a shine spray. Today, i'm going to use this kenra platinum, silkening, mist right here, and i try not to do this anywhere near the top or roots i just like to do it from the mid shafts down, because you don't want to get greasy at your roots. Here is my finished hairstyle with the mod extensions in i love the length. I love the color, i feel like they blended so well. I feel like the hair is pretty thick all the way to the very very ends, and i just feel so much more confident with hair. Naturally, my hair just doesn't grow this long.
