Hey what is up welcome back to my channel and if you are new here, hey, what is up. My name is Jana and I make videos to help. You navigate the world of wigs and hair extensions, because life is too short to have boring hair. So in today's video we're going to talk about the halo, hair extensions and I'm going to show you these from Lexi and by the way look at this packaging is so cute. She added the little gold rim around. So it's like a halo. I get it super cute, and can we just talk about my background? So this is a new background. I'M trying out. You know, like the whole pink on pink thing, so these are fake palm trees and I spray painted them pink. You can still kind of see a little bit of the green, so I'm gon na do another coat, but let me know what you guys think in the comments I feel like it's such a bad. So anyway, let's go ahead and get into these. So I've been wanting to try this halo style, hair extension before alright. So this is what it looks like. It basically hangs on your head with this little fishing wire and then the hair looks like this and then there are two clips on the inside and it also comes with these side clips as well. So two two Clippers that can sleep on the sides of your hair to help blend the halo. Okay, I've never tried anything like this before I feel, like. Maybe I've tried it in a store a while ago, like a few years ago or something I have my doubts. I don't know if I'm gon na like this, but we're gon na see and I'm gon na try it on for you guys. So we can like experience this together, and I also wanted to show you what else it came with. It comes with more so it comes with two extra Clips. So if you want to like replace one of the clips or something if it falls off and it comes with a bunch of the little strings, but it does come with a bunch of different sizes, so I guess you can fit it to your specific head size Which I didn't even think of that you might have to adjust it depending on how big your head is or how small it is. You have sizes from extra extra small to extra extra large. I don't even know what size we're gon na I'm gon na. Try. The one that it comes on the extensions, but I don't even know which one would be my size, so let's go ahead and try this one on and see how it goes. Okay, I'm gon na start sectioning off my hair. How I feel like you're supposed to so I'm gon na start kind of, like in the middle of the top of my head, go down to my ear and then go around the back all right. I sectioned off this part at the top. So this is what I have going on right now. So now I'm gon na undo these clips and then I'm just gon na plop this on my head. I guess: okay, good! Ah it unhooked yeah. So these hook on by the way - I don't know if you caught on to that, so it just has like a little hooky thing and it came off okay. So let me just hook this back on, do not worry. We are still in business. I feel like this is supposed to be easy, but I feel like it's, not you, okay, so I'm pretty much here. Okay, okay, okay, send me a clip. This is the place. Is it looking like a mess? I'M not sure you guys, I feel like I'm not gon na, like this. Okay, I'm putting my hair back down. Mmm you guys, okay, hold on I'm gon na give this a shot so we're gon na go like this. Try to cover up that fishing line. Oh you guys. Okay, let me like whip my hair around and see if it slides out, so it's not actually going anywhere, even if I go like this, so does stay and the clips in the back do help and this string is actually pretty comfortable. So, as far as that, like comfortability, it's actually not too bad. I feel like it's something you have to get used to. It didn't fall out and it does yeah. It does feel pretty nice. Actually, it doesn't because you know when you clip in extensions and you even feel all the clips in your hair. You don't really get that sensation with this. It actually feels pretty pretty like minimal, like you, don't really feel it too much on your head, which is actually kind of nice, so I feel like they are. It is pretty comfortable like once you kind of get used to, I feel like it would be comfortable. Putting it on with a little bit weird, I don't even know if I like, had the right technique or the right placement, but this does feel decent. Now, it's trying to blend in these little side, pieces and brush it into pulleys. Here we go. This is what it looks like, so you can totally see where my hair stops. So I think it's safe to say that these are not really gon na work. For me, these are definitely for someone with already thicker and longer hair, and you just want to add more thickness and length. I feel like that's what the halo is more targeted towards, so someone with like thin hair. Like me, I think stay with the clip in extensions, because then you have more control about the placement and definitely get a better blend. But if you have longer hair, it doesn't necessarily have to be that much thicker, but I think definitely longer and a little bit thicker to cover up the beside the bulkiness at the side and then blend the length in then. The halo would definitely could definitely work for you. So if you want to go with the clip in hair extensions, I leave a playlist right here with all my except in hair extension, video, so videos on the different types of clip in hair extensions, how to blend them with your hair and all that good stuff. So I hope you guys found this video helpful and I'll see you in in the next video over there, thanks for watching bye,

CHLOE HAMMOND: You should pin your underneath hair up so the short bottom hair doesn’t show. It’s a trick that makes all the difference.

Luxy Hair: Janna, thank you for uploading a first impressions video of our new Halo collection! For your hair type, you'll definitely want to consider adding one of your 4-clip wefts from your other Luxy set to add more thickness to your Halo. You can clip that in as you normally would in the bottom section of your hair, and then apply your Halo ontop. The two 2-clip wefts meant for the sides of your head will also help with the blend and give the overall look more fullness. As well - the Ash Blonde set will need a bit of toning to match your color perfectly :) We always enjoy watching your videos, Janna!

a: When my hair was shorter I used to pin the back/ bottom in a pony tail to hide the bottom length so it wouldn’t show . Try it

Angie Ross: Thank you SO much for such an honest review! I have been using Zala tape extensions for years and am getting a bit over how the tape sticks out the second your hair starts to grow out. Plus it's weird for your partner if he goes to touch your hair and you have explain what's in your hair lol. I have considered going to a halo and brought one recently but just could not get the thing to work like in other videos. So I realised that those videos are great for 'selling' halo's but not realistic for the rest of us. I really appreciate this review SO much so will stick to tape which always looks beautiful as long as I just get them moved regularly. Going to look into seeing if can put them in myself as well. But thank you Janna! xoxoxo Ange

Cliff: I sorta like the little bit of green left in the plants—it adds so much texture. To add even more you could blend just a little bit of white in the brick

Shelly Watson: A trick that some people use with Halo extensions, that have shorter hair, is to take your hair and put it in a small ponytail underneath the Halo extension. That way you don't see your short hair showing through on the sides. I've seen that on the Halo extension videos and it looks much better. I do agree though Halo extensions can be hard to hide, especially the wire on top, without a topper, if you have very thin hair.

Leigh Averill: omg I just got the luxy hair extensions and love them!! youre killin it gal! we have such similar style

Crash: Once you let your top down, take the point of you section COMB or what you can do is take the COMB end and gently from part or top, comb down to the tip of halo and that pulls the hair from underneath wire to cover it and then do the same for other side. Once done, section the sides and use the metal end to pull the hair above the halo. The weight of the hair on top is what actually holds the halo in place but the clips add more security in keeping the halo in place. Basically, 2 types of method to apply. 1. You place completely over the entire head with not having to section. This is also good to figure out which wire length or setting fits comfortably and perfect for your head shape. The halo should not fit like a headband form. The wire usually is an inch I think from your forehead or just a little more. The sides should be around temples about an inch back or come down a little further but above ears and not low touching ears. The back should fall just below or above the occipital bone of the which is where your spine connects. You can feel it as it curves. Halo should not be too tight and you will know because the front wire will move backwards. Not too loose and you will know when you think you're all done and just run your fingers through or softly brush and it moves everything lower. Once you find perfect fit apply again over the top all hair. Then with your section comb metal section end, start from your middle part and keeping on the inner side of wire, slowly follow the halo circle around which pulls the needed hair above for weight..... Around back. You can either stop and do other side same way or just finish the circle. Then clip in place and brush all to blend and done. Or section top like you did. Hold each side curved like the shape of your head. With the end of each wire between thumb, index and middle fingers. As you bring on top, use your last 2 fingers on both sides to gently guide the wire where you want it. The inch from forehead. Keeping fingers holding the sides, they should be by your temples. Hold on place with your thumbs each side....move the other fingers v to the back of halo where gently guide down until desired fit. Then snap into place back first then sides. Follow using steps provided at beginning where you comb down the right side wire to pull hair above and then left side repeated. Section from right side halo and metal and run along the top to pull that hair above halo and same on left side I know that I probably made it all confusing more but, maybe not and made it easier. You taught me tape extensions hopefully I paid or forward with the halo. Awesome video's and channel. ⚡

Annette Rizzi: Although your natural hair is shorter it looks very thick, and extremely healthy! Being your hair is so thick I would suggest making a braid in the center back of your hair, and pinning it up with some bobby pins, and placing the halo over that. Another trick you can do is place the halo lower, and pull all of your own hair over it. If you are to do that though you may want to purchase 2 sets. I also love the shade you chose, but if I were you I would choose a peice a shade or 2 lighter with a more cooler tone! :)

Heidi Kay: Thanks for this video love!! We have basically the same hair color and I’ve been trying to see if I want to get this halo thing so ty

Brooke Clark: Your background is everything! It definitely is a vibeI've never seen or heard of this product before. seems interesting lol

Shop Untangled: I can actually see the hair extension from here. :D We have the absolute perfect shade for you that seamlessly blends with your beautiful hair as if the hair extension wasn't there.

Angel Sky and the Crazy 5: I was literally about to buy this!! Thank you for this preview!!!

A T: I appreciate you getting straight and to the point. So many YouTube tutorials take forever to start the actual tutorial. Much appreciated!!

GAMER GIRL MARS: Omgsh thank you for trying these. they look horrible in my opinion.... terrible. i have the seamless ones and i love them but I love Milk + Blush extensions. Have you ever tried them? they are QUAD wefted and the volumizer is 4 times as thick as the Luxy volumizer piece for a comparison. Try those next!!

thania gamboa: I buy this halo , love the color texture and everything but the wire hurts after some hours and my scalp already reacts to that. Any suggestions on that?

Jessica M.: Good to see I'm not the only one who couldn't get them right like instantly. For me, putting them is was not nearly as instantaneous as what I was seeing on 90% of the videos about these. I kinda felt like an idiot, thinking to myself, is it really just super simple for everyone BUT ME? Am I some sort of hair moron? I guess I have to keep in mind that 90% or more of these videos are pretty much ads for the extensions themselves and the person who made the video isn't going to want to show themselves fumbling around with it if they did have difficulty. That wouldn't make for a real interesting video to watch, nor would it make a real great advertisement so there's that. I appreciate that you had some issues and for me it validated my experience and made your opinion seem more real. Who knows? Maybe it just takes practice to get them in. Once in, they do look ok on my head... Twenty minutes later! Haha

Anchored Lotus Tarot: Can someone please tell me how durable the string on this halo is? In other words how hard can it be pulled before it snaps?

Jennifer hernandez: Omg you need a pink neon sign in the middle of the background it’ll look soooo cute!! I say you should get one the is you’re YouTube channel name or the fans name, I’m new and I’m excited to see you grow and see the new content you’ll be putting out

Amberielle T: It needed purple shampoo to get the yellow out of the extension.

Stephanie Wilkinson: The clips make bald patches over time... be careful girls x

Rebeca Diaz: Update from mines, they don’t work for length on thick hair. Your ends have to be really thin for it to blend. I personally wouldn’t buy it again because I already have thick hair I don’t need more thickness.

Fae Graham: I was about to buy these based on the Instagram ads but thank god I watched this video because they actually look terrible.

emarrama: I use two halo underneath and it helps

Gracie Bingham: one word, toner!

bananawonderful6: « Ew you guys » Sorry I died You’re hilarious

kimgab123: I would be happy if I had your hair!

Irina Brilliant: Love your new background

Staci : i love your new backdrop!

Emmy Dream: It's way harder with straight hair lol

Vicki Stevenson: You couldn't even pay me to wear these !

Bella: Other viewers have given these particular extensions bad reviews.

Khaleesi Kimber: Get a topper to add volume

Emma Grover: The whole time I had my hand over my mouth

Vicki Stevenson: Not what an absolute embarrassment! - cheap tat and the end result is shocking! Poor colour match too

JD: This review was really frustrating.....kind of seems like you didn’t want to give it a chance honestly. As you rushed through it and didn’t even try to style your hair so it would blend more seamlessly.

Pink: You seem to have cool blonde and the halo is a warm blonde

Elvis fan girl: You can trim it

Danielle Rangel: You need to tone it.

Ti Jay: You put it on wrong ... You had it FAR TOO FAR back! you should have watched a tutorial before messing it up on video! you have to have one a couple of inches longer than your bio hair or add a clip in extension to help blend it a bit... how can it be helpful when it was a shambles!

Godson81: Your hair is beach blonde. and the extensions are more white, so does not look good babe

Hellena Ryder: I think you got the wrong color

Jay rose: I hate the halo

Godson81: Nope looks horrible, maybe if you toned your hair to match the extensions and add some curles, may work. But that looked terrible hunni lol what a mess!!! I’m not hating here hun just being honest

God raps: Instead of doing that all the time go to church and be a Christian and spend more time with god
