Keratin Hair Extension Installation Demo

http://www.YourHairShop.com quick demo for installing keratin tipped (aka U-tipped) individual extensions. The brand of hair being used is called Tease hair Extensions and can be purchased from YourhairShop.com

Here are a few tips and tricks I use to install keratin tipped hair via fusion method, normally how I go ahead and I separate out the hair that I want to apply. The extension to is I've got one line here, that's parting, the hair away, I'm going to take another line parallel to that, so this line should be kind of straight parallel to the above one, and then I kind of decide where I want the bond to be, And I'll let down the sides of it so I'll. Let down this side keeping a little bit my hand, I'm a let down this side and then I'm left with a nice square chunk here to apply the extension. Next, I'm going to use a hair template to isolate the hair that I will be except applying the extension. You want to make sure also that this is in the downward position and that you're not that it's not straight up like this or you're, going to get extensions that stick out so put it in the downward position. I'M going to be using the teased hair extensions in color number five: it's not her color, but it's a lighter color that will stand out on camera, so you can see normally what I do is I like to kind of cut down just a little bit of The bond not too much just a little bit, but do so at your own discretion. Next, I'm going to grab the natural hair that I plan on applying it to you hold the bond up to it in the downward position. Still using my heat wand, I'm going to just let the tip kind of melt gently until it's fully melted using my fingers, I'm going to kind of push the hair all the way around her natural hair and then roll it. This is going to give me a nice tight bond and it's still in the downward position. Now, I'm going to show you another example of how you might add highlights or if your client has a mix of colors, that they don't carry in extensions, and you want to mix two colors without having it too streaky. Once again, I did the parallel line and then I dropped off some of the sides. So now I've got a nice square piece holding it in the downward position clip this into place. So I've got 14 B here and I've already kind of cut a little bit of the top off. Now I'm going to cut this in half, so I'm going to get two pieces of hair from it and then we've got two and then I've already got a pre-cut number five. So I'm going to put the 14 B and the number five together. So now I'm going to have a bond with both colors. We can line these up just one right over the other and install it the same way in the downward position, melting the bond and then rolling it. While it's still in the downward position - and I got a couple - little cobwebs just pull those right off and there you go now. You'Ve got a piece with some highlights in it and that's how it's done.

weave Lounge: Wow! Well done. Very explanatory.

Blindgirlscout69: thank you! this is so helpfull but if you want to do this at home you dont need that heatwand you can use a straighting iron as well ! it works good if you dont want to buy one

WhiteWingedDoveBand: Very well done video, thank you!

Alex Ruffin: great... i have been wanting to learn this.. xoxoxo

Tangleduntangled: Wow Good application video but....Hair extensions really only damage the hair when they are removed improperly. Like using Acetone is really not good for the hair, it drys the hair out immensely. Pliers are not great either For keratin bonds just use the Take Down Remover for hair extensions and the fusion flat iron to melt the bond-it slips right out! Take Down gets all the glue residue off the roots of your hair and it softens your roots if they are matted from oil or lint build-up.

Florise Schwartz: how long do they last?

Syren: No. Depends on what your using it for, length, highlights, thickness?

ToyCorner: I am thinking about having hair extensions soon. i have curly hair that i always always straighten using a flat iron...if i use a flat iron with the extensions, you think that would work? does heat damage the extension's glue part (the bond)?? also how long does it last? when do i have to remove it? Thanks!

mari: So im interested in these how do i remove the pieces when im ready to take it down?

DemstarAus: Would a diamond shaped part of hair make it easier to tie hair back?

FLORDORMIDA: After 3 months you can see the glue hanging. By the way I lost almost a half of my hair with THAT.

HaykPlayz: You can actually cut into the bond vertically (making sure not to cut the hair) and split it into two for a micro one. That's a good option for the ones around the face... and for people with thinner hair so it doesn't show

SMARAGH20: doesn't the heat from the tool break the hair or at least damage it...it looks interesting and pretty cool, and I was almost sold until i saw the heating tool for the bond

Hipzillaaa: i will be getting these hair extensions soon! can you dye them?

Zenred Hair Salon Bangkok: keratin hair extensions via fusion bonding is the best - thanks!

sugaqube17: yes it is... the newest method is to have the hair looped into a coil and inserting the extension and apply pressure with special pliers.

cicelytyson: Where did you get that mannequin from and how much was it? Also, do all the mannequins have the same hair texture? OH, love the video, too!!!

Mys Beautiful: where can i buy the heat wand?

Shana'e Le-Poet: this wont damage your hair, if anything it will help it grow. Keratin is a component that is in your natural hair it is used to adhere to your hair. If you take care of it, it can last 3-7 months! I know bc I have been calling every salon in Indianapolis, Carmel ad Greenwood to ask!

Yakiiroll: 8-10 weeks, if done correctly 3-4 hours

TatiHatesEverything: QUESTION.....i've seen some stylists use like some kind of wax paper of something to roll the bond....is it recommended to use that paper thing or is it ok with ANY type of bond to just use ur fingers ?

Mercia_Latte: its best to use olive oil to take it out I never had hair extensions like the one in the vid it would be way to expensive/ take to long. just the long strand hair expension which are connected in a row. Clip ons are better though

BrittCafego: the best way is to get the real hair braided, then sew in a weft of human hair extensions, as long as you can find someone that knows what their doing, it wont damage your hair. I ve been getting it done for about a year, and havent seen any hair loss from it

Sami Turee: question. Can you comb your hair? ....Does it like get stuck on the bond?

Seraphine: for 1 g strand I need 1 g keratin tip, right?? is it enough only 0,5 kg tip?

Anan Notws: @toxicbutterscotch All hair extensions damage hair, this is the form of hair extensions with the least amount of damage. you can keep these in for 3-4 months. you can do them yourself, but it would take longer and it would be difficult doing your back of your head. no, it's premium hair. they look the most natural out of all hair extensions. if you have thin hair, 100. if you have thick hair, 200. for any hair extensions it's 3 inches, always get your hair layered to blend in with your hair. no.

TomboyChic: how much did it cost?

Carmen S: How can you remove those again?

adioslve88: they dont rip out your hair, thats why it's keratin that they use, its not harmful to your hair like glue, it's totally safe.

Gertrude Brown-Coffee: What is the cost of this project

percious1: glue?? thats where i'm trying to stay away from, wouldn't that ruin your hair once its time to take take it off? I love the style and how it looks...just worried about the glue?

TatiHatesEverything: @laurenmariemc what kind of paper is it? can you buy it at sallys?

Kristiniskool: Doen't the glue get all over your fingers?

Jaz: where i get that extensions with the glue included.... the ones i buy i have to buy the glue apart and extensions apart...

FlawlessImperfectio1: Where do you get the supplies fom. Please tell me quick!

Aurelio Sustaita: these damage your hair alot.

Sabrosita: Wat is the different between keratin and fusion

M Green: Excellent

DemstarAus: @Tangleduntangled What is Take Down Remover made from?

Optimistic Prizm: this process is called So-Cap 900-1500 dollars and or Great lenghts 1500-3000 dollars they will rip your hair completely out.. the best way is Micro -links same process I do my own - full head and LOVE IT

Dreny: i did my keratin extension on July 3rd 2011, but the lady told me that there's a special shampoo and mask to use for a month for the extension to be strong and not fall soon, if i didn't use it, is my extension gonna fall in a month???!!.. cuz it's not that cheap to do and if u have tips on how to take care of the hair extension at home after having them done?

Rach113: I got fusion hair extensions and the girl at the salon messed it up! You can see the glue and mine are an inch already and i just got them done. It does NOT look like that! what do i do?? Im sick of wearing a hat and the lady keeps arguing with me and i just want my money back!

LadyA: Yo llevo etensiones de keratina !

MayRa: two days ago i got my extensions done the lady who did them put a lot of shine on them and i just took a shower and i just can't get the oily feeling off of them what can i do?

laurenmariemc: @SexyGreekBaby89 the paper is just so you dont burn your fingers or getglue stuck to them x

imacceptingbut: i had braids done once by professional African braider's and it took almost 8 full hours (with one tiny break)....waaaayyy long! But at least I could wash my hair with the braids...can a person even wash their hair with this glue stuff? Seems like hot water would compromise the glue and give you a head full of sticky shit (???) If somebody knows please email me!

BobbieZ: You can find them anywhere from 20-200+ dollars... Do a google search, also check ebay and amazon

Лючианна: how do you get that out then o-o?

Purple Niruple: @toxicbutterscotch around 350 to 450 strand would be need but thats for really full hair like beyonce, and you can go about 3 inches short cause you have to cover them, and not special anything it needed for them other than a good conditioner

MSEBONYSEDC: ...interesting...it hard to take out?

Mys Beautiful: its not a glue its a protein which is what your hair is basically im just starting this method of all the weaving and extensions I've done just by reading about this one i think its the healthiest

Charley Ponton: I want one

Rach113: 500 dollars. a couple hair stylist told me to take her to small claims court. Out of the 5 or 6 that i went to said that it looked HORRIBLE and that they felt sorry for me that i had to walk around like that!

KHFanForAll: How much did that head dummy cost?

Magnus Nilsen: väldigt intressant.

Shana'e Le-Poet: DIY is better because they charge you 500 at a salon for just the hair and I can go get the hair for $50 myself! They charge 100 an hour and I can do it myself or have a fam member do it for 50 either way I am saving 1400 dollars from getting the hair myself .

cutandstyle1: Just make sure you know what your doing..!!! Or it can be a big mess!

anna v: holy shit. i would crack it doing that job soo slowwyyy.

Purple Niruple: @toxicbutterscotch they dont do anymore damage than a good glue in weave if that, some say they last 2 months but i had them in for around 5, they are easy to apply but it takes forever/ no you can do it your self but its not a good idea i would ask a beauty school, its human hair so it doesnt tangle too much, you treat it like normal hair wit coming and brushing but i would say get a loop brush if you are heavy handed,

Lydia H: Meh, i heard that you melt the glue and pull or something :S

Kristen Alysse: lol, why dont you guys watch the video where they demonstrate that?

msdoza: nice

hollaabitxh: hair grows back.

Kellie Wisecarver: Any beauty supplies store

Rach113: they wont give me my money back! Im so pissed i hate them!! HAHAHA!

Aerin Ford: No wonder it costs 1000 bucks. lol

Mys Beautiful: but these arnt glue tho

Aisha Sewell: you can get glue removers. for as little as £2.50 english money.

HaykPlayz: She just did it in the video at 2:13

PoiosEimai7: You must pay me to see how i do Extensions...;)

no1uknow: I wish this wasn't so bad for hair. Bummer.

Kim: Look like it would take forever to do that.

docd1o1: taking hair extensions out is a mess, so thats why you go to the right people in the first place. you know how it takes hours to put extensions in? well it takes even longer to take them out. you use a solution to break the bonds then cut whatever you need. etc.

A J Johnson: how do you take that shit out

TomboyChic: lol...wow..u shuda got the micro-cylinder hair extensions...i was told they last longer and they look better...and u shud get ur money back..PRONTO..

Nkechi Enwereji: i dont think this method is good because it s glue and it can pull alot og your hair out i think its better to jus get ur hair died or just put in a weave... to me this method is kind of stupid

Sandy Rich: sobehair

Tammy Nash: OMG SEEKING.. You judge saying they are ignorant and yet your post sounds so racist!! psshhh

PoiosEimai7: I can Do it much Better!!!!

madde westberg: I LOVE you

OwnageProductionz: Tell them SEEKING911!
