How To Untangle Matted Hair!

Detangling A Massive ball of Matted Hair and extensions ‼️

Hello Beautiful people,

This tutorial is about a young lady that had extensions in her hair for 4 months, but her hair has been matted in a big ball of mess for 2 1/2 months. This is due to poor application of the extensions and poor maintenance. She had a combination of tape in extensions and keratin links. She initially came in for highlights, toner and a cut, but after our consultation and further inspection of her hair. I explained to her before I can do anything, I will have to remove all of the extensions and detangle her hair first. This video shows the process from beginning to end and I hope you guys enjoy.

Welcome welcome, welcome, hey, guys, welcome to Hadassah creation, and my name is Hadassah so subscribe like Tony notification bells, so you can see all the new videos and also watch my other videos and following me on all my other social media outlets. Today, guys we have a hair transformation and a hair challenge. One thing I love about me: I am very extra, so I'm gon na be extra in this video. Now I do a consultation with all of my clients and I also like to check out their hair to see what I'm working with and what's going on. And this young lady found me on Google, based on my review and came in, for, I believe some highlights and to make um a trim, I believe so, as I'm looking for her hair, I realize I will be in a regular highlight and she kind of mentioned It in the consultation - but I didn't see it because her hair was like this and she hasn't been able to wear her hair or touch her scalp for two and a half months guys. She has some extensions done four months ago and it was done improperly and she also didn't do the maintenance of it. So it became this big massive matted ball of hair stuck behind her head poor thing now some attacks. What took her so long to do it or to get a face? Well, she was embarrassed and she didn't know where to go, what to do and by some chance she was letting my way and before I even introduced, I literally had to pray. I didn't mean to sound so rami, but I kinda did rhyme but whatever so here, I'm going through it trying to figure out what I'm gon na do coming up with a game plan and what I did is I remove anything that I can see. So I remove all the carrot, endings and she also has some tape and extensions, and I remove those are done any products that I use. I will put it down below in the description box and stay tuned for the miracles, hey guys, we are back and we're. Finally, done I'm able to run a comb through her hair. She has no patches from nowhere small poking uneven pieces. Now only was I able to save her hair. I know he saved her life and she was so happy that she was able to touch her scalp. I also did highlights toner deep conditioning treatment, trim and round brush blow dry, her hair. She was so happy and I was so happy cuz. It'S like my first time, really really just handling someone's hair. So this is a learning process for me, but we got it done. So thank you for watching make sure you share this video make sure you subscribe like comment. I'M still new to this whole YouTube thing, but if you guys stay, let me through the journey we can learn together and you can watch the glow up. So what I would try to do when I speak in the video I will try to end with a affirmation and the today's affirmation is my experiences. Make me stronger, wiser and prepared. It is perfect for this actual video, because I couldn't plan that better. That just happens to be today's affirmation, but thank you for watching, and I appreciate you guys and Turtles. It is no more knots. We can run our fingers through it.

Sarah Ashli Parrish: Thank you. Thought I was going to have to cut all my hair off. You’re a God-send.

Vanessa Amerson: I'm actually crying because I thought I was the only one with this problem I know when I get my hair fixed I'll be more self care aware but I'm at the point now where I won't leave the house, rarely leave my bedroom. Thank you for sharing this glimmer of hope, I'm 51 years old and don't want to be this way forever.

S B: thank you so much for not shaming her in your video. to anyone reading this with matted hair, it's okay. it's fixable. you are doing great.

Billie_사랑: I was really minutes from cutting all my hair off cause I’ve been too depressed to even take care of myself but thanks to you I was inspired to untangle it

Karyn G: So glad that there are other Stylists out that don’t automatically say “It must be cut off” You just have to take the Time❤️❤️

Keith Vanderoef: My girlfriend’s hair is so matted and tangled it’s like one large mass. It’s a lifetime of hair andI just am trying to find out the best way to alleviate her from this 4 month burden. Thanks for the video

Strifentine44: Thank you for giving her such kind and gentle care. I had a mat once and was very embarrassed about it. It was tight against the nape of my neck and hurt. When I finally got the courage to tell my parents, my dad sat me down and picked it apart. It must have taken him two hours. Your miracle work reminded me of my dad doing the same thing. ❤️

Jessica May: This is exactly what I'm dealing with at this very moment, my glued in extensions are SO matted tight to my scalp. So thankful for your video ❤ there's not many videos with ideas/things to try on YouTube.

김니키: It makes me sad thinking about how much money she paid not only for the extensions but for someone to install all those extensions in her hair incorrectly. A tape in _and_ fusions?! Whoever did that to her lost their damn mind.

Smiles Smiled: I just untangled my 6 months unbrushed hair. It took me 7 hours. In case you're wondering how: I washed it very well with shampoo >> I poured a lot of cheap hair oil >> I brushed it patiently & I sprayed water and or oil whenever it dries up.

Carolisa Kallas: Wow. What a nice job you did on detangling her hair. You are a talented colorist as well. I loved the affirmation. It was just what I needed. I almost want to tangle my barbie hair into a knot, just to meet you!

Jordan Moser: You’re amazing! Amazing work and care for this client! I just know she must have been so grateful! It’s truly hard to confide in someone when something like this happens! Just the gal for the job:)

love little pup's: I love how you responded to every comment! Most people just look at one or two, you are so amazing and thank you this video was sooo helpful!

Lauren M: Your videos started coming up on my recommendations and I can’t stop watching your channel. You are such an awesome person! You have such a talent and you are so understanding of people’s circumstances without passing judgment. Thank you so much for what you do! ❤️

Codi Marie: Your first hair detangling!! Now you’re out here doing this on the regular!!! I wish more salons did this service.

kacey: Thank you so much I left my hair in a bun for a month and I thought I would never get rid of it I was so stressed I love you

Dené Sinclair: This is the work of a goddess! She looks beautiful and is so lucky to have found you. Hair is a connection to our inner selves, and your work is so important <3 <3 <3 Much love!

Megan Pulse: You are an angel! You saved her hair and gave her her confidence back and that is amazing. God bless you. ❤️ I am currently going through this as well (matted hair all over my head from health issues, hormonal build up and depression). I don’t have extensions in that caused it though. I am curious as to approximately how much this cost? I know every stylist and salon will have different prices but are you comfortable giving a price range for this type of service? I’m looking for someone to help me do this. I’m located in Iowa or else I would be heading straight to you! Thank you so much!

Karen Gallardo: You did such an amazing job

CYndibabI: you’re a miracle worker you did an awesome job saving her hair! how long did this take to do?

Vashti Perry: You are out here inspiring us. Thank you.

Amberly Price: This video brought me to tears. My hair has been in a matted bun for almost a year now. I've been battling horrible depression and trying to cope with the loss of my sister, my dad and my best friend all within a short time.. maintaining my hair was the last thing I wanted to worry about. I also have MS so it's hard enough for me to shower, let alone brush my hair. I just kept putting it in a bun. Now im at the point where I need to cover it with a scarf to go in public and im so ashamed and embarrassed. I need help so badly! I wish I lived closer but im all the way in NY. Can anyone recommend a salon that is as amazing as this one that is closer to upstate NY? This is really interfering with my life and definitely not helping my depression . I know that I need to go out in public and socialize more and get out of this horrible depression but the embarrassment of my hair has kept me hiding inside and so embarrassed constantly distancing myself from everyone. I need this so badly and I have money to pay for it I just can't afford to travel to FL to get it done and I don't know what to do! If I get it cut I'm afraid I'll just continue to have the same embarrassment and more self hatred. I've never even had short hair.

Rhondas Place: You are a true Angel. Such a gorgeous young lady so glad you were able to save her hair. I loved the finished look.tfs

tamvruck: You certainly are a very patient woman. God bless you and the service that you provide.

Scarlet Red: What products did you use to aid the detangling? Great job !

Raquel Dreams: Me right now Smh depression is horrible

Colleen Carey: You are truly a hair doctor, beautiful job!

Deborah Rose: You help so many people glow up and be self care aware, you help so much, help people with a break through, with a victory, and let go of the self criticism... Brilliant work hass

Anna: This woman did an AMAZING job wow This is how I remove my knots and when my hair gets matted.. HOW TO REMOVE KNOTS & MATTED HAIR: You need: -detangler or conditioner -a wet brush -a hard brush with hard bristles -a comb Start at one section of your head where the knot(s) are. With the comb try to separate the knot from your regular de knotted hair. Apply some detangler spray or conditioner to the knot do not saturate. Brush any hair below the knot to where there’s no tangles. Starting from the top/then middle of the knot or matted area using your wet brush go over the knot from the top until some of the hair starts to become unknotted where your brushing. Then switch to the hard brush and do the same thing. Keep alternating between the wet brush and the hard brush going over the front & top of the knot. Then get the comb and start from the bottom of the knot working your way up like in this video. Continue to move between the wet brush, the hard bristle brush and the comb. Re apply conditioner or detangler as needed but don’t make it saturated just damp. It will hurt, dead hair that was supposed to shed will come out since it wasn’t able to shed due to it being knotted which is normal. Continue to work in sections, removing the hair from the brush and combs when it fills up. Remember to keep untangled hair away from the knotted area and continue to focus on one knot or matted area at a time. This always works for me! I’m sure people will say always start from the bottom but in my opinion and experience I always have to loosen the rest of the knot before doing so.

Mazvita Musendo: I just subscribed! Your content is super interesting to watch and you drop gems that can help all of us in general, love it!

Carissa Cerrada: I've been dying to see you work on white hair. Cause I'm white. So I have white hair. But I love watching black hair get done. Cause I like to know about something I don't have

Vermont Mom: I don't know if I could sit long enough to get extensions let alone this. I cannot stand the feeling of having a tiny amount of hair pulled. I am glad her hair was able to save her hair.

Edith Smith: Wish I had found a Hair Stylist like you, my hair broke from those nuts caused by fusion extensions.

fili: Most people think: shaving might be the best option. But with love and time and hope....you restoured her...hair ánd more. Wow...my respect! Become a hairdresser: you will be a docter too and an artist and a nurse etc. Best profession ever! Bye from the Netherlands.

Stephie Hell Yeah: Harass a you are such a beautiful ray of light! I’m a fellow hairstylist. But I can’t work due to some serious chronic health conditions. This was so inspirational and loving! Behind the Chair needs to feature you! ❤️❤️❤️

Char Turner: you hooked sis up real nice!!! and you're right she look so happy when all the tangles were finally out

Bri P: How do you do this without breaking the hair? My hair is incredibly dry and fine :( Her hair looks beautiful. Youre really talented

waveygurl: I suffer from this. I've got little pieces of tiny hair at the back cos I find it gets matted ALL the time at the back and recently cut the matts out and I've recently bought the Tangle Teezer and every single day its becoming draining

S.L. S.: That was intense!! Great work!!

Merely Mayhem: Amazing work! her hair looks so good now

Amberly Price: I've been researching and trying to find help with my hair and I read something that I was curious about Is it true that water will make the matted knots worse because hair shrinks when it's wet and makes the knots tighter?

Silver Belle ASMR: You Ma'am, are a miracle worker.

XKE Fan: How long did it take, total time?

Humanssuck: OMG HOW DOES SHE DO THAT??!!! WOW

M May: Love your pink hair! My favorite so far.

jfiorello68: Hadassa, you are a beautiful person. I'm so glad this lady found you. ❤

Just Wondering: Gorgeous job love !! Looks great !! .. Do your clients ever complain of pain ?

Väëyå Xzåveriå Star Novae: I’m just so happy that I’m not alone. Been feeling extremely ugly with this going on. This last depression is my worst ever. N on top of that I lived in a four plex where all the neighbors harassed me in any way they could. Why did they do it? SMFH idk jealousy n offended that I didn’t acclimate to them or try to act like they was important. So I had shut down. I washed my hair one time without combing it out first. Fell asleep n woke up n it was matted. I was still depressed so I kept saying Ill do it later n later until now here I am sitting here with it way way worse. I’ve always had long hair n always taken care of my hair well because I grew up with a mom who was a cosmetologist & instructor at the beauty school. So I stayed in the shop n hair was well kept. Obviously I kept up with it as I had learned n been raised to. This depression damn near stole my entire existence. I’m in a new place finally n started working on my flaws, dark spots from stress acne n stupid facial hair. It’s weird cuz since I’m no longer in that place my skin has calmed down n is returning to normal. I never had adult acne until 2017 when the stress was heavy & I stared feeling hopeless. I haven’t cut anything but been contemplating if I can get it out. Today I. I’m ready to try. Gonna do do hot oil treatments multiple times a day until I get it out. Can’t believe this shit happened ok now imma finish watching ☺️

Loni Mcpherson: I’m new here and I loved this video!

cadaverdog blix: You're a genius Love, extreme patience involved, no doubt

Laura Stern: ❤you Hadassa! My sons waist long hair is matted for almost 3 month for he did not brush it and didn't let me do it. He and my husband want to cut it but I don't. He has a massive roll if all hair with no beginning and no end, I ve tried anything but I cannot get it loose - how shall I continue? I'm here in Europe/Vienna Austria Xxxxxxxx Laura

Kinsey Jelinek: I lost my hair brush for about 3 days during vacation and now it's matted hair is super thick and curly

Blackberry Lady: Gorgeous beautiful hair...beautiful lady be blessed

Terri Kyle: Thank you for this. I am not able to find the link to the products you used. Amazing :)

KL: Wowza! I’ve been a hairstylist for 30 years I’m impressed!! What do you recommend for someone who has long natural wavy hair that doesn’t comb it enough? I need a great conditioner - Detangler? I have a client like this. Nothing seems to work. She washes her hair about once a week it’s pretty thick and she trains horses so she’s always wearing it in a messy bun. It takes forever just to comb it out.

Ruthann Jones: Pretty girl. Glad she was able to get help with her hair.

The Eden Adventures: Haven’t watched this yet so you may already answer this in the video but do you have any tips / advice to stop hair matting? My 5 year old daughter has some sensory needs and she HATES having her hair washed or brushed but she also seems to have hair that is prone to knotting / matting which obviously makes her even less willing to let me sort it out! I’d like to find a way to make it less likely to end up a matted ball or atleast make it easier to fix when it dies happen!

XO Zeness: I love these videos!

Lisa Conley: You are an Angel. I believe God created you to spread love. You help so many people and never ever judge. I also love how you respond to every single one of your followers in the comment section. So humble and kind. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

frankie mae: Wow! That came out nice!

Shrimp shack: Aww brilliant love this.

Nidha Fathima: My hair is like a nightmare. It is wavy, but the problem is it gets tangled sooo quickly. Especially when I shampoo my hair. Any products that help reduce Frizziness?

Linda Love: Wow! Your so amazing and talented

Tracy Fornera: Great job your amazing

Lauren Gardella: Love this ! Thank God for you lovie!

Alisa Daly: Wow!! U did such an amazing job. Those were the worst extensions ever. Poor girl. Her hair color & texture afterwards was perfection. Super talented hair stylist!! Wish u lived in Az!!

Debra Garneau: How long did it take from start to finish. And can nerves cause hair to be matted up.

O. M.: Awwwwe baby life saver!!! You were so new to your calling

ottaknow: How long did this take?

Daphne N: Great job.

Michelle Jay: You do know the absolute best thing to use to unmatt hair Is WD40 I know it sounds weird and I know it's hair grease and you may have to wash it three times to get the WD-40 out of your hair but it will unmat your hair and probably half the time it would take you using anything else so if it's like a 6-hour mat then you'll probably get it done within like 3 or 4 hours you spray you let it set for a little while and then you pick it like she's doing and it may take you 3 hours to get it picked out but it'll keep you from losing a lot of your real hair and it will also keep you from having to shave your head or cut a big chunk out

hellomelaniee: My hair does this every week. :(

Mariah Fecteau: My hair is currently like this but slightly larger of an area, I’ve been trying to get it or for a week now & can’t seem to handle the tension on my scalp area after going in for a hour, I’m so embarrassed and don’t want to lose a lot of hair, my hair is just above my waist but I think it’s about time to go get help last time I had my hair matted like this the hairdresser ended up having to cut it out and I’m so scared for this to happen again but this video gave me hope

NILA GOPINATH: Detangleing hair is not simple things as you see we do this struggle every day .

Wanda Bustoz: What products did you use to loosen her hair?

SunshineAntiques Robbins: You are amazing !

Alexandria Davis: Being high risk, and entirely isolated has lead me to deep depression. My hair is extremely matted, and is in basically a bun shape. I have tried leave in conditioners and coconut oil and dentanglers. Is there anything you can suggest? I am in a bad corona area and its still not safe for me to get professional help in person. I'm so desperate, I need this fixed its really killing my mental health.

Katapillar: So I got a question. I had tape in hair extensions and I took them out my self. Well here’s the thing after taking them out my hair is just like this. My booty is broke and idk what to do at all. How do I fix this because I’m crying everyday and I’m already losing my hair. This has me in such a depression that I only keep my hair up and I won’t let even my husband touch my hair.

Wendigo • 90y ago: I'm 15, dealing with "moderately severe" depression. Haven't left my house, bearly leaving my room. I haven't been to school in months because of my hair. Trying anything I can

Jaime Pacilio: So patient!!

Stephanie Garza: I have this problem on my whole head right now literally only the very top layer of my hair is saved! Please help! I have hair extensions in my hair and they are completely matted with my hair and I am extremely embarrassed to go in somewhere to get them removed. Should I take off the extensions first and then try to untangle my hair? The extension beads are some metal material. How do I remove them and how do I get my hair unmatted?

Brittany Rossi: Looks awesome

Jen C: This woman did amazing.

Latonia Lee: You blow my mind is almost like looking at the pimple popper you got a was to the end

Laura Goins: Hey so this is amazing and my daughters hair is worse than this I think. I'm going to a friend at a soon tomorrow. Just wondering how long did this take..just the detangle?

Jenny May: Omg I wish you were in the Dallas area. My 3 year old has long strawberry blonde 3 A, B, and C curls down to her butt. The C’s are on the bottom, and EVERY single day the name of her neck is matted. We went on vacation just outside of Destin so I slacked on her hair for two days. Currently trying to get out a mat that goes all the way along her neck in the bottom half of the underside of her hair. It’s overwhelming and I don’t even know where to start ‍♀️

Henriëtte Steyn: Whoaw you are a miracle worker good job
