Hey, what's up, I'm Erica and I'm here with latest beauty, calm and today we're here at potpourri Beauty Supply in Ontario on the corner of 4th and vineyard, and I'm here at the stylist Brenda who is going to be demonstrating. The latest hair extension technique called fusion. Now this technique is where you take human hair and you bond it to natural hair with a keratin protein. Now this is a wax based protein that it hears nicely to your natural hair and it's nice and undetectable and lightweight, and nobody will ever know that you're wearing these extensions. Ok, so here we are part of instruction the hair neatly and we're going to take small sections, we're going to mix them just some peekaboo panels, underneath her blonde with a little bit darker, contrasting color and we've picked human hair, which is very good. Cuticle hair, the cuticle in this hair that we're going to apply goes in the same direction as that of your natural hair. So it's very smooth and silky. It doesn't tangle. It'S real good quality hair. They already came on the hair and I'm gon na actually use this original keratin. She explained protein wax based and we're going to just apply the extension to the natural hair and voila that less than 18 seconds, and there we have it. We'Ve got one hidden in here: they really are undetectable they're, very natural. They move around with the the natural hair can be worn up in a ponytail behind the ears curled wash flat ironed hair dye. Anything you would do to your natural hair. You could do with the extensions in your hair because it is good-quality human hair. Now these extensions lasts up to three to four months and a lot of it has to do with how well you maintain your hair, but they just grow up. Naturally, with your natural hair growth and eventually when the time comes, you just get a cracked-out, they turn the powder slide on your hair and then you can get them put back in the same day to go another four months, yeah, there's a tool that looks like Pliers and this bond is very strong. It does last a good four months, but when it's time to take them out, you can simply just crack and break them and like she said it turns to like to sand like dust and then they just extension just slips out after about maybe Oh, depending on How fast somebody's hair grows when you get about an inch and a half away from the scalp of growth? That'S when you really need to start looking into having them removed, because the hair of your own that starts to wrap around in a tangle will snap and break so that's where you get breakage is when you have worn them way too long. I don't know if people are just trying to get their money's worth or they just don't get around to getting them removed. Damage occurs if you have worn them way too long. So what you need to do is have them professionally removed, preferably and then, if somebody wants to go back into wearing them again, then you refactor in the new hair growth and have them reapplied that way. Your hair is back in the safe zone and you're good to go. You

Mac Jim: it depends on the following: where you live, how many inches you want your extensions to be, and on the stylists themselves. I would say that if you want to get the extensions in Queens, New York, I know a great salon and this service costs $375-475 w/the hair included...

nessa16365: As for microlinks, they aren't any better. I had them twice and they do still damage hair. You are putting metal clamps in your hair and closing them. No matter how carefully they are taken out, hair is still going to get snagged and pulled. I think fusion looks more natural and btw, most microlinks are made out of nickel and/or aluminum...two metals which a lot of people are allergic to.

birdlover5: i'm trying to understand too how you would comb your hair all the way. i get tangles and i like to brush through my roots, wouldn't the bond break when the comb repeatedly slides past it? it does look like it would be a hassle to keep up too.

09anutka: I dont see how it could be bad for your hair, hair is dead matter, like fingernails, its no worse then rabber band on your pony tail, and strands are very light and they not puling your hair, I love this method the best
