Hi guys welcome to house of HuR UK. I hope everyone is doing well, if you're new to this channel, then please don't forget to hit the subscribe button and the notification bell so that you can be notified anytime. We post new content so guys it's a new year and I'm trying to do so. What I decided to do and we are going to do a series based around hair extensions, giving you guys the information that you message me about when it comes to the hair. Extensions that we install so you might have seen videos on our channel of how we install, maybe our la wheeze, hair, extensions or microgreens - are prepared, not invisible, flat waves and the videos alone are not enough, so you want to find out how are they installed? How are they removed? How are they maintained? What products you should be using when should you have them removed? How do you go about washing them, so this new series is going to give you detailed information about all things: hair extensions. But if you don't know, my name is IND Suarez and I am the owner and founder of House of hell UK and we are one of London's leading salons in hair extensions. We specialise in over nine different hair extensions referes, like no other salon here in London. So I thought I'd kick off the new series talking about micro, bringing at hair extensions in the u.s.. I believe you guys call them micro links and in other countries they call them strand by strand hair extensions. So, let's start with the real basic. So what are micro ring hair extension, so I just thought I'd slip in a quick video showing you guys exactly how the hair extensions are installed. So the first tool that I'm using in this video is the loop tool you're not restricted by how much of your clients, hair or your own hair. You can actually slip through the bead, so this allows you to put more hair in the bead, and this is the most popular tool. The second tool that I'm using is the latch hook. So this is for. I feel that this is used by more old-school hairdressers, because when we first trained like 15 years ago, the loop tool wasn't available and it was only the latch hook. So this is the latch hook that a lot of stylists may use to do their install microgreens. They are individual strand, hair extensions, which is often referred to as a stick tip or an eye tip strand of hair extensions. So there's only really one way to install microwaving hair extensions, and that is using a small, tiny, copper bead. Now, here at house of hair, we prefer to use micro beads that have got silicone in the inside, because we feel that it grips onto your hair better and also protects your hair from having any friction. So I just thought: I'd show you a quick video on some of the tools that I use. So this is the latch hook and the loop tool that you can use to install micro ring hair extensions, and then I thought I'd show you just a little bit of our plier collection. We have about six different styles, because when you're clamping down on the micro Rings, they can actually hurt your hand a little bit because you've got to squeeze them quite hard. So you want to make sure that you use implies that I'm comfortable on your loans, which you have a half, so I'm just gon na break that down for you a little bit. So if your hair is would say, maybe around five inches or less, and you want to create length and volume, then you're always going to opt for a full head of hair extensions. Otherwise, you're going to be left with a lot of volume at the top of your head, where you have the hair extensions installed and your own air install and then, when it gets to this part of partial shoulders, it's going to look very, very thin and wispy. If you only go with a half head, so if you're trying to create the length and volume you always want to go with a full head of hair extensions, a whole head would normally include around 175 to 200 strands of hair extensions. So this these bundles are 100 grams each, and this would be around 200 strands, maybe a little bit more. So this is what would look like a forehead. Yes, you would put these two together and you would install these in your hair, and that would be fast. There'S a full head of microbe in hair extensions and that would be to create length and bonding. So if you only want it to have hair extensions, just to create a small amount of volume or to increase the volume of your existing hair, but you're. Not really that interested in having much length, then you could obviously go with a half head of hair extension, so that normally is around 100 to 125 rounds or 225 strands of hair extension. So normally around this. Much and possibly a tiny is what you would install in his hair would retrieve for Harper, but that would only be to create volume. So you want to get hair extensions that come to the left of your own hair and not much longer otherwise. You'Re going to volume where your own hair is and then you're going to take very thin ends where the hair extensions continues. I won't talk today about like a position and placement of hair extensions, because you'll see that in my videos I've got some online classes that are going to be coming out in part and they will go into more details around the positioning and the placement of the Hair extensions, but when you're trying to achieve a full head of hair extensions versus a half head or if you're, trying to delete volume over length or introduce a different color to your hair, and you want that color to pop around the space. I will go into more detail about that within my online videos. So let's talk about the maintenance of hair extensions, so if you're going to have Mike wearing hair extensions, they are individual strand and your own hair is left out all over. There is no braid in your hair away and there's so in hair extensions on you're, going to take a small, tiny section of your own hair, put a bead onto your own hair and the hair extensions will then be introduced to that bead and the two of Them will be clamped into your hair so because of that, your own hair is left out when you're, washing your hair or styling your hair. You just need to be mindful that your own hair is not tucked away, so you need to use heat detectors on your hair. You need to reduce the amount of heat that you're putting on that if you're someone who eats up their hair Debbie - and this is just to preserve your own hair and to keep the stroke and to not introduce any heat damage to your care. Let'S, but we talk about brushes, so there are three different brushes that I personally like they're all very similar, or two of them are very similar, we'll start with the first one, so the first one is a tangle teezer brush. We give this brushed out to our clients to free, had a full head of hair extensions with us. Then you're likely to get this brush for free, because we want to make sure that our clients are taking care of their hair. So you don't want to just brush your hair from the ends. This brush allows you to go right into the root of the hair. Extensions with no snagging and pull in the bristles might feel stiff, but actually they've been quite easy. Can you see that so they will bend over the hair extensions and they will help to reduce tangling at the root of your hair if it gets to the point where you're brushing your hair extensions - and this is snagging and getting cool, then your hair extensions are Slipped too loads and you'll probably need to come back for a maintenance, but this brush definitely allows you to brush your hair from the root, and you want to be brushing every single day from the root to end with this type of brush after you've washed it And after you said, I blow-dried you want to make sure that you're brushing your hair and detangle in it. This type of brush is what people typically use or style in their hair, especially a lot of black women will use it to slip down our edges, and you don't tend to use it for brushing your hair all throughout your head. It tends to be more just at your edges and maybe at the nape of your neck, but this brush, the bristles, are really firm, but they're also soft enough that they bend over hair extensions. So they're really really good for brushing hair extensions, whether you've got lav tracks Brazilian, not invisible, flat waves. All my clearing hair extensions, this brush in the big size or the small size, is perfect for separating out your individual strands, brushing your hair from the root. So you want to separate them and reveal your scalp and brush your hair from the roots, and you want to make sure that you're doing that every single day. I prefer that when your hair is down, you use one of these brushes and not one of these, because your own hair might angle in this brush when it's damp and it's got a lot of elasticity. So you want to make sure that you use a tangle teezer brush when your hair is wet, but this brush can be used for everyday brushing. This is one of my favorite brushes for hair extensions, and this is what we retail here at house of hair for all of our clients. We believe that you should have one of these brushes, so it's very much like a firm bristle brush, but the bristles are slightly softer. If you can see them, they don't have any little balls on the end of them. So there's nothing to snag. On the end of your hair or the root of your hair extensions, so they can glide for your hair from root to end very, very smoothly without causing any tension or friction to your own hair. So we definitely remember recommend sorry one of these soft brushes to brush your hair extensions every single day from root to end. Obviously, this brush is quite large and you might not want to take this with you everywhere. So if you can't take it with you everywhere, then we would recommend that you have this in your handbag and you brush your hair from root to end. We don't actually recommend that you ever comb your hair extension now, don't get me wrong. You can comb the ends of your hair and, if you're going to be straightening it and you're doing the chase method with the straightener and the comb. Then that's fine, but we do not recommend that you put any kind of cones towards the root of your hair. Whether that be a wide toothed comb or a small, tiny teeth, comb just avoid cones of the hair extensions
