Microlink Extension Removal And Installation Start To Finish Handtied Extensions Short To Long Hair

Hey guys welcome back to my channel equinod today, i will be doing a quick micro link, removal and installation. This is her before she came in with her extensions grown out about three to four months, and this is after i took the extensions out. Unfortunately, i don't have a full after of today's visit, because we didn't get one. This is a quick rush visit. However, here are a couple afters of her other visits. Where you know i had a couple extra seconds to take like an after video, and here she is, after we did another installation and she's using her very own equinox brush, which is now available for purchase on my website. I will leave that in the link below in the description, if you're interested in getting your own. I love this brush so much. I have them in two colors um. I have them in silver and rose gold, so this is another. After this visit we decided to do some loose wand, curls, and then this is a soft curled. So you got to see a total of four afters make sure you're following me on instagram equinata1 and enjoy this video okay. So, first i'm going to start by separating her hair from where the extensions are and i'm just going to put her hair up in a clip using my favorite butterfly clip. I love them so much. It really just gets the hair out of the way, and apparently i didn't film cutting off that first track of extension from the beads, but here i am with my clamp, i'm using the clamp to just open the beads like open, open it halfway then slide them Out um and remove it from the hair, so i didn't get to record that part. I don't know what happened but yeah this is it just removing the clamps and then um. You know just pulling it apart because because it was so long that these were left in, i want to say between three to four months: um, the hair definitely got like uh tangled together and then i just grab a comb and detangle the hair. Don'T worry? It'S not hurting her, i am holding on to the hair, so you know she's not feeling a lot of the detangling, because i'm putting a lot of tension on my hair. Basically, so she wouldn't have to feel the tug-in and the pulling and things of that sort. So once i've i've got that roll like detangled. I just separate her hair again from the extensions and then i will go in and cut the thread from the tracks. Remove the tracks then remove the clamp then detangle, her hair, like you, see um. I just did so. This is me just cutting it out: snip snip, snip snip, snip snip. It looks like kind of scary watching this, because obviously it looks like um. You know i might cut myself, but that wasn't the case at all. I was using my nail to kind of like serve as a safety mechanism. I guess you can see like whenever i cut when my nail was in front of the um, the sheer i always put like my finger tilted down so that if i did have a mishap, you know it wouldn't cut me it'll, just like slide over my nail Before it cut me, jk um, i wasn't gon na get cut, so i just keep doing that until i remove it completely from the from her hair and all the threads are cut, and i do kind of use my hand and nails to kind of like sweep Her hair out of the way just to ensure that i'm not cutting her hair, because the whole purpose of this is to add extension. So it seems like she has more hair. So i'm not going to cut her hair because then that's going to defeat the whole purpose, duh so yeah, i just keep cut cut cut cut until i get to the end. So, as you know, if you've been on my channel for a while, you know i usually don't do voiceovers and definitely not this long. However, i'm doing it now. So let me know if you guys, like the voiceovers or not, i really haven't decided you know what direction i want to go with that, because it is a lot more time consuming to sit there and edit the video and do voice over. So here i am at the end, i'm just snipping this last one and after this i just like you know just remove it from the here so yeah. The the end ones are always like more tighter, because you know they get a little bit more attention just to ensure that they're, secure and now here i am with the clamp again just clamping it sliding it down and removing um the clamps, just like i did Before so, if you haven't noticed already by the title, this is a quick microlink extension um video. She was in a rush to say, and we really didn't have much time at all, so this was a very quick process. Unfortunately, i did not get to shampoo her hair. I did not. Oh my god, we go. The rose went in yeah. I didn't get to shampoo her hair um, like we usually do, but this day we just did not have time. So i really just detangled put the extensions back in. I didn't even forget to style it honestly. I don't even remember if i got a good after video, but at least this will serve as a purpose. Um serve the purpose of showing you guys. You know like some of the steps, but yeah don't like cry your heart out, because i didn't shampoo, her hair and you guys can get a full finish and you guys can get to see her hairstyle like it's. Okay, i will make more videos. Like don't worry. I got you, i got you so this is me just detangling, her hair. The ends are already straight and detangled. So i know a lot of people are gon na, be like. Oh, my god, are you sure about my hands? No um and i'm just removing uh the hair, that's like tangled in between because, as you know, the hair sheds, regardless and with these being in the clamps for so long those hair didn't get to fall out. So that's why you're gon na see you know more hair coming out. It'S not that her hair was breaking off. It'S not that her hair's falling out. No, it's just a part of the process and yeah, so i'm just detangling her hair. As i said, probably three times already, and then i am going to either move on to the next row or um start applying the next uh loops to put the extensions in typically. This is where i would completely detangle her hair and then take her to the shampoo bowl and then shampoo. Her hair give her a nice deep, conditioner, massage her scalp like so good, then have her sit with a conditioner based on what conditioner i use and then i come back to my chair and blow dry. Her and yeah so enjoy this process. So i have one more track to remove, so you guys will get to see me remove that again and boy. This bottom track is a loose as a goose, so yeah i am cutting cutting cutting the thread, then removing removing removing the track then on clamping. I'M clamping, i'm clamping, the clamp and removing removing removing the link, see i almost like created a song. I mean this voiceover business is kind of funny because it's like okay, i already explained what i'm doing. Am i supposed to talk the rest of the time, or am i supposed to just stop talking and start talking once i have something else to show you guys. I know i haven't posted in so long, i'm so disappointed in myself. I'Ve just like been super busy. In addition to that, i lost my basically like so much footage like over a year of footage on my external hard drive that corrupted, i tried to send it to a data recovery in california. They tried to recover my data and they couldn't so. I have just been like out of footage and i haven't been recording recently because it is very time consuming to sit there and record while you're doing here. So i'm thinking about maybe starting to do things on mannequins and things of that sort. So i don't know yet we'll see, but i definitely need um more external hard drive, more reliable ones. The one that got corrupted was, i believe, 8 or 10 terabyte. If you know anything about like storage, you know that's a lot so imagine losing that much footage and those are all footage of work that i had already recorded, but just have not um edited so yeah fml, guys fml. So that's that's one of the main reason why you haven't seen a lot of videos on my channel, but now i am going to start to record more or just post a little bit more often and so yeah make sure you guys are subscribed and being interactive Because that's how i know like what content you guys like what you'd like me to create. This is me just brushing her hair again um, just to make sure i remove anything, that's left in there and um. This was one of my test brushes and now i have my own brushes, so they are available on my website for sale. So this is her hair with no extension, as you can see. Once again, i would love love, love to shampoo and blow dry, her hair, but we just did not have time so um. It was. You know her decision, and this is me now just separating the hair, to get ready to put the extensions back in. So i'm starting like right above her ear, and i am bringing the extension very low to give her maximum length. But at the same time, maximum. Like fullness and coverage throughout the entire head and as you can see, she has a patch right there on the side. That is not for me um. She had uh an incident with uh someone else, but that's not my business and i really don't want to talk about it but yeah. So that's why she has that little patch there, but she has learned from her mistake and the goal is to try to just um remedy the area and just let it grow out. So yeah i'm just doing like a horseshoe like shape, and then i am separating her hair out of the way once i'm happy with the shape. I then get my clip and just clamp her hair out of the way yeah didn't eat focus. Why are you with your phone and talking? This is not a social event. So now i am clipping our hair out of the way and i'm just measuring the track, so we're reusing the hair as well um measuring the track. Now i am just sectioning that tiny area that i'm going to put the loops on or links - i should say so - yeah guys how's, the weather, where you are a lot of places, are freezing right now, but in florida it is not. It is sunny darling. I was just outside yesterday in shorts and sandals, while i hear california is under like uh lockdown, because there's a snowstorm or something going on so yeah, i grab my looper and the beads are already on it and then i just loop her hair through it. Now this is my favorite thing to do when it comes to the perimeter just to make sure there's extra support after i loop and clamp the first one. I split it in half and connect it to the second bead or the second area, and then i clamp it, and i still i keep a little tension in the piece that will be left out from the first one just to ensure that um that loop area Is still flat and then i repeat the same process for the third um loop for the third link and that's going to give her. You know a lot of support so when she goes through out the process of having the extensions in and she doesn't come in as often for her touch-up um, there's just a little extra security there for her. Of course, you know once you sew it in it's. In there for good, but because her hair is so fine, you don't want to like leave it all up to just that little one portion to maintain everything but separating the hair and adding it to the other. It just gives you a stronger foundation and that's just my preference. So now i grab the tracks and i kind of like sew it together before i attach it to the hair, and then i proceed to sew it onto the um, the micro linked area yep, i'm just looping it. So i push the needle through the looped area. Then, through the extension, then i wrap the thread around the needle two to three times to ensure maximum security, and then i just repeat that process throughout the entire row, if you guys have any questions, leave it below this is so interesting. I just use a needle to like flick it out of put it back where it belongs. Yeah and, as you see, i completed this row all the way around, so i'm just sewing backwards now to make sure that the ends are. You know in a good uh. What'S the word, i'm looking for just making sure that they're secured that's all and then now i cut the thread from the needle and then i am just tying it like twice underneath and then i'm gon na go back with the shear and like cut it cut. It cut it and then there you have it. That'S the bottom row and i use the brush and just like detangle the hair make sure everything is as it should be, and then i unclip or her hair and then um continue to the next row. So i'm basically just going to be repeating the same thing i just did so i'm just gon na. Let you guys watch it and i'll be back. [ Applause, ], [ Applause! ]! Do so [ Applause, ], i'm back! So, as you can see, i needed a little bit extra hair um for that tiny little piece of the track. So what i did was, i grabbed a small portion of here, um above where i needed to end and i went ahead and i clamped it and put the tracks over it. And then i'm sewing the track onto the um last piece that i just last looped that i just created and the hair is kind of like over directed towards the face which is perfect um, because who doesn't want more hair around your face. And then i'm just going to loop that a couple times and then tie the knot and cut it off and the hair is still fine, there's still support so so now we're on the top row um. I am doing the last row of extension, so we ended up doing a total of three rows um just like before, and i am just sectioning the hair to see exactly where i'm going to lay it out. We don't want it too close to the top, but yet we don't want it too low, because we still want to maintain a fullness throughout the head. So i am just sectioning the hair and i'm basically going to do the same thing. I did before the last two times: i'm sectioning it here then i'm going to grab my beads grab my looper loop, the hair pull the beads through and then clamp. It then grab my extension measure. It up then, grab my needle and thread and then sew the extensions on to the micro beaded area, and i like to open the hair to see how it's gon na lay after i put the tracks on after i've created like the separation and then, if i'm Pleased i just um clip it up. If i'm not, i just continue with my comb and either grab more hair or take more hair out. So that's what i'm doing here. So how are you guys enjoying this video thus far, do you like it? I am um clipping the hair out of the way. Now then, i'm going to grab my looper tool and i love how i use the looper as my little um comb just grab a portion of the through the loop and grab the pull the micro, the hair through the micro bead and clamp it split. It grab the next piece of hair. Add it to it loop that here, through the looper, pull the bead through push it up and clamp it then. I still want to grab the first piece up here over direct it so that it's still flat on the head. Do it again loop pull the bead through clamp, it yeah, i see him someone to eat and then i just repeat it until i do like three to four. Sometimes i'll do the entire row just depends depends on the person that depends on my hair and then i just continue doing the same thing on the opposite side: side to side so guys like when you're doing your clients here or even if you're getting your hair Done do you look at the cell? That'S a lot, i'm just curious. Sometimes i see people saying. Oh my god, she keeps looking at you in the comments and i guess i've never noticed it before, but i'm noticing it now. Do you guys get that too, as stylist and clients? Do you guys do that to your stylist as well? I don't know i don't have a problem with it. It'S kind of cute, but sometimes like okay, can you look back down? I am doing your hair and i don't have all day, but i like it we're bonding. You know. Eye connection is important to a lot of people, so i don't mind if my clients like look at me or look me in the eye and stuff like that. Like it's totally fine, as a matter of fact, i make sure i have extra time in in their appointment for them to look at me see she just looked at me, yeah, so yeah guys couple more minutes and i'll be done, and you're gon na see how She literally just like got up on the chair because she just had to go.
