Hey everyone, so today, I'm here at Voges salon with my friend Jessica and our hair, stylist Ashley - and I know I've been talking so much about my micro link, extensions and I've promised a video. So I'm here today to kind of talk to you a little bit more about what they are and then also kind of show you the process of how they are being installed. This is gon na, be Jessica's second set that she's getting put in and I'm going to go ahead and turn it over to our hair cells. Ashley says she can explain a little bit more to you guys about the process, I'm a master and I Dixon. So here's our 18-inch extensions and then I just wanted to touch on what microwaves are they're a little bit years. My problem kicks in a link that ties at the top and that's how the bond interior and clever with this. So this is Jessica's second set. So today we're hombre, so while you guys are watching Ashley work her magic, I am going to hopefully explain this process to a little bit better, going to give you some more additional information about these actual extensions themselves and then hopefully answer any questions that you might Have about these type of extensions, like you guys know, I just recently got a set of these myself for the first time, and I have been so stoked about these. They are awesome. They have made my life so much easier. So I'm going to explain to you a little bit more about the process of how this all works. What ashley is doing, while you guys, are watching and then kind of talk to you a little bit more about the process of installing them and the upkeep and all that kind of stuff. So the perfect dress micro link extensions. They are a strand by strand extension, as you can see: she's taking a little strand of Jessica's hair and then she's going to be adding the micro link on to Jessica's hair. So what ashley is doing is attaching the micro link extension to Jessica's hair and then she's just taking this little tool and clamping it down. So, as you can see completely different from the fusion or keratin bonded extensions, there is no heat and there's no like melting. Any glue onto your hair, so it is so much less damaging and it's a much better option for your hair in the long run. If you go with the micro links versus the fusion bonnet extensions, so as you can see, the extensions are being added across the part one by one, and this is going to create a streamlined design. It'S going to be really comfortable when you're wearing them, and it also keeps everything looking really nice and uniform. So as you keep on watching, you'll see that we're going for a slight ombre effect with Jessica's hair and basically Ashley just pre colored, her hair. Before the video and then color matched it according to the ombre ends, and that is just the way that we're going to create this effect so that the ombre ends match exactly with the extensions. So, like ashley said in the beginning of the video we're adding the 18 inch extensions to Jessica's hair, so we get that full ombre effect she's, adding these in the natural body wave because that is going to match Jessica's hair the best these come in several different Textures, so whatever texture you have, there will be one to match your hair, so another cool little fact, as you guys might have noticed or might not have noticed, but these extensions, the actual bead, is completely covered by hair, and this just allows them to be a Lot more discreet, they're not going to be as visual as if it was just a bead or even just that little bonded piece of glue. This is going to help mask the bead and also just keep it looking really really nice and natural. So the client doesn't have to worry about the visuality of the actual bonds themselves. So to answer probably your biggest question of all. This is a hundred percent real indian remy hair, and this is going to keep it really really nice, if you guys, aren't sure what remy means. Basically, what that is just the cuticle of the hair is all going the same way, and this just allows the hair to last longer, and it just keeps it looking nicer. It kind of prevents it from the matting all the shedding and breakage, and all that kind of stuff. Remy hair is definitely the way to go whether you're doing these type of extensions or clippings or fusions any route you decide to go, make sure you've got remy hair. So let's talk about maintenance and upkeep. Basically, these require maintenance every six to eight weeks, and this is basically what Ashley just opens up the bond and then pushes it right back up to the scalp area where you've been seeing her apply these to Jessica's hair and the scalp area is definitely the safest Place for the extensions to live as they grow out and they're further away from the scalp that can allow a lot of damage and it can put tension on the follicle of the hair and then result in damage and breakage and all that kind of stuff that You don't want so these extensions are reusable, as you can see, you just open the bond up and then slide them back up right where she's applying them right now and if you take care of these properly, they can last anywhere from six to eight months before A new set is needed so, as you continue watching the process, this takes about two and a half hours to fully install. So we have plenty of footage to work with while making this video, but it takes a while, but it is totally worth it. These micro links are amazing. The removal takes about 20 minutes and it's totally achieved without using any harsh solvents or anything like that. They have over 50 colors to choose from, as you can see, and then also they have an amazing haircare line to keep your extensions. Looking the best that I possibly can for as long as they can, I love this line of haircare. I'Ve been using it on myself and it is absolutely phenomenal. So that is the finished look. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. As you can see, Jessica looks absolutely stunning and Ashley did an incredible job blending these extensions with her hair. You are about to see some crazy before-and-after pictures right here, don't forget to follow focus on lon on Twitter and Instagram for more amazing before-and-after pictures thanks again. So much for watching you guys, and I will see you in my next video

Karissa Pukas: You can barely notice them as they grow out- you just have to be more cautious with hot tools- you cant run them over the bonds. Mine last 7 months before I need to get them taken out- but I do baby them, and use great products- It's awesome :)

Karissa Pukas: That's insane expensive! How annoying :( As for what is better, I think it really boils down to how well the person cares for them. I will say from experience though, Fusion lasts SO much longer though!

chanel campbell: wow. definitely a huge difference in the before and after pictures. Love these! Seems like the way to go for minimal damage, but lasting extensions. Thanks for sharing the process!

Kait Nichole: Absolutely! Im LOVING mine. After doing tons of research on the best type of extensions for your hair these are BY FAR the winners!! :) Thanks for watching! xo

Karissa Pukas: Can't believe they are that much. I get mine for way under $1000 (Granted I get a better price as the extentionist is my best friend, but she charges like 800 for 20" and is very well known for amazing work here! Bummer it's so expensive there- they overcharge like CRAZY!!!! And heads up it's really not better for your hair- Microlinks pull WAY more, damaging your hair (especially on lighter colours) and don't last nearly as long. xx

Kait Nichole: They are amazing!! Its made life so much easier! haha no more clipping in and out the extensions! :) Its been very nice!

Gisella Katherine: This was such an excelent explained video, wow! Such a good job. Everything very clear.

Kait Nichole: A person who has been saving for months. haha this is something I have really been wanting so iv done months of research & saving to get these. I think they are great and worth every penny to me. :) Thanks for watching xo

Kait Nichole: Thats awesome!! That was my only concern about those really. Im glad they have been working so well for you! :) Like I said your hair always looks amazing!! <3 I appreciate the info girl!! xoxo

Kait Nichole: AMEN!! Lol I saved forever before I was able to do this. They really are awesome iv been enjoying them so much! The only thing is washing them is an absolute pain in the butt. It takes forever to wash and hours to dry. But other than that they are so worth it! :)

Kait Nichole: Of course!! im glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for watching! <3

Kait Nichole: I just wanted to thank you all for taking the time to watch. At this point I will not be responding to any more comments regarding the price. This will vary depending upon your location and where you live. In my area this is a very reasonable price for these extensions most salons charge 2,000-3,000+ around here. Since mentioning I had these done, I have received a LOT of questions about them so the point of this video is not the price, its to answer questions iv been asked about the process! xo

Veronica From Al: Hi Ashlee. I really enjoyed your video. It is very detailed and easy to understand. I have a couple of quick questions. I know this process can b done on African American hair, but what type of hair do u recommend? Secondly, where did u order your hair and installation supplies...tools, etc? I've been looking online, but not sure who has the best quality products. Don't want to waste my money on cheap products. Thanks for your time.

Kait Nichole: OMG!! I know. Hairwashing/Drying is the worst part about these. The price just really depends where you live I guess! Most salons around here charge much more than what I paid for these so it seemed like a great deal to me! :) Anyway thanks for watching!! xoxo

Kait Nichole: I believe she put a little over 250 strands in my hair :) My hair is relatively thick so it just really depends on your hair texture/thickness! If it was me i'd probably start about 200 and just add more if you need to.!

Kait Nichole: The hair color iv been using is a level 4N :) If you tell your stylist that or go to a beauty supply store they should be able to find you that color very easy!! xo

Kait Nichole: You will probably find depending on the area you live in prices will be completely different. A lot of people are saying in their area its much cheaper. Where I live this is on the cheaper side. Most salons charge 3,000+ for these.

Kait Nichole: Oh really?? What a small world! Its a great salon :) Idk if you have been inside it yet but its super cute! Almost feels like a "Hair Boutique" How are you liking Paul Mitchell?

Valerie Sanchez: this was a big help i have been looks for a diy on how to do this and this described everything step by step

easternhair: wow! thanks for this amazing video I was really enjoing to watch this!

brittanyl652: Like a crochet technique brilliant!! To bead it throughg

Kait Nichole: Thank you! im so happy you enjoyed the video :)

MakeupMommy: I have relatively long hair and just need about 3-4 inches more in length. The thickness of my hair is more on the thick side. So what would you be able to recommend half head or full?

Jhané Tatyana: Where do you buys them? How much do they cost? Do they come in curly textures, because I have naturally curly hair?

Kait Nichole: The pricing and more info is in the description box :)

Kait Nichole: No, there is no way I would pay that every 6-8 weeks. The maintenance price varies.

Fatima Hamid: I love it and no I've never been there. Paul Mitchell is a great school.

Probably Not Emily: This is the least damaging method of applying hair extensions. And your hair can grow properly because they do not 'suffocate' the roots.

Kait Nichole: Like I said in the video they offer a maintenance every 6ish weeks to push the hair back up so its not grown out and pulling on your hair :) xo

Kait Nichole: It really is! iv gotten a couple other comments from girls in australia and they all can't believe the price! Its crazy how different the price for basically the same thing is over there! But yah iv been super careful with mine especially since it is my first set! But yah the fusions seem to last a long time. Does it get annoying when they grow out so long tho? When I was looking into fusions that was my only concern really. Yours always look really pretty :)

Kait Nichole: Yah like I said they can stay in your hair up to 8 months before needing to replace the hair :)

Kait Nichole: No not at all! The first night you sleep on them its a little awkward. But you get used to it right away. The second night I forgot I even had them! Ashlee is VERY careful not to get them too tight on your scalp! Iv had an amazing experience with them so far! :)

Felicia Galindo: can you still straighten and style the extensions the same???

bhoffz: LOL seriously dry shampoo became my best friend haha...they look great tho..seriously I knnow alot of ppl are gonna hate on the price and stuff but whatevs..I kno all my friends thought I was crazy(expect for the few that loved them as much as me)for getting them done..but I loved them so much and I know if i never got them I wouldnt have gotten over it lol..enjoy them!!! I dk if you got one yet but a loop paddle brush really helps brushing them! xox

Kait Nichole: Oh don't even!! lol you know I love you. <33 Obviously 1,000+ dollars is expensive. Im not trying to deny that at all! But iv been saving & researching these things for months so its not like I just picked up and dropped that kinda money on a random day haha. Anyway you don't even need to apologize your a girl like me and speak your mind :) lol - Love you Nicole!! XOXO

Khadijah A: I spend $250 for a partial sew in. I'm half white/Asian and half black so my hair isn't coarse at all!! Sew in doesn't last me shit so now after watching his I will be switching to micro links! Thanks

zoecelestin: How long does the whole thing take?

Selyna F: What kind of tool does she use when to put the strand of hair , before she clamps it ? (hope that makes sense) :)

xoxamberrr: I'm trying to grow out my hair but I'm very impatient I'm not a fan of clip ins because I have to put them in everyday so I'm wondering if this would be ideal or if it would just cause more damage to my hair ?

blueice1234567: I LOVE the fact that the bead is covered in hair

Kait Nichole: Im pretty sure they have my before and after on their facebook & instagram! :)

Kait Nichole: Wow thats so cheap. Believe it or not this is literally the least expensive salon in my area. Weather is fusions or micro links most salons in my area charge 3,000+ :( Iv done a lot of research and from what i've found peoples experiences with links vs. fusions are so split its hard to tell what is actually better. Your lucky to have your best friend do them!! lol Thanks for watching girlie!! XO :)

Natalie Jimenez: How long do these last?!

Kait Nichole: For someone with gorgeous hair like yours who doesn't need worry about extensions that is SUPER easy to say lol. You haven't seen my hair without extensions ever haha and you probably don't want to. Its a MESS from going blonde to brunette so many times. Its worth EVERY penny to me. Its actually saving me money on clip ins I go through them so quickly. They aren't for everyone obviously but I couldn't be happier with my decision to get them.

Kali Hudson: How many strands would you suggest for a full head??

Alexandra: Kait what color hair would you say you have? That's the exact color i want :D love your videos !!!

Kait Nichole: I can definitely see that now that you mentioned it!! Lol :)

50tmack: You mentioned Jessica's hair is curly; does she need to straighten her natural hair every day- to continue to have it match the straight extensions? Thanks.

BodianaB3auty: They're expensive, but amazing

Kait Nichole: Yah it seems like people are very split in what works better! Jessica's slip out wayyy easier than mine! Iv only lost 2 of them in just about 6 weeks and she loses several each time! Im not sure what the cause is but they don't charge to re-apply them thankfully!!

Emma Mcpherson: does it hurt? i've always thought about getting it done x

Chantelle: these always slipped out of my hair.. i use fusions they stay better in fine hair in my experience =) they do look awesome though

misaki Rapoza: It looks so good on her!

loveangelrock: omg i like to do that. how do u wash then and how long do u keep them in

NicoleSara294: It doesn't seem like that drastic of a change. Instead of saving up for months to be able to afford these, why don't people just take care of their hair and let it grow in those months? I've let my hair grow out for a year and now it's 26in long. I just didn't use hot tools besides blow dry it a bit so it's decent looking/manageable.

Breanna Pritchett: can you brush it from the scalp down?

bhoffz: I've had both micro and fusion... I live in NY and 1,000 is somewhat cheap to get them Put in... They def look nicer then the clip ins if u have pretty short hair because they blend them in a lot better then what u could do urself.. The downside for me was showering with them I felt like when wet it would weigh down my hair a lot and i felt like I couldn't scrub my scalp with shampoo... Also because u have so much hair it takes forever to blow dry/air dry... Tbh I like the clip in better bc I d

Katerina: Hi . Wanted to ask when do you have to go for maitanence at the salon?

Alexandra: thank you:D!

Fatima Hamid: This is funny. I go to Paul Mitchell Overland Park and they were on our job board. Exciting!

LadyCrystal0721: Where do u buy these extensions

D Spaniard: so it depends on length and how thick ur hair is for the price right ??

Kimberly Barnett: How much to get them and how much at 6 weeks to get them pushed back and how much is the shampoo and conditioner? Plz answer I'm really interested in getting these! :) thanks

joannafromeurope: i had miro rings and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone! i paid the same money for mine and had it for....1 day. i am so sad that i wanted this money but i couldn't stand the extensions. my head hurt all the time and i just had metal in my hair. i couldn't even run my hand through my hair. it was done really nice by a professional hairdresser but the method itself is horrific. i would only recomend clip in hair extensions as they are million times better!

GOING ON A JOURNEE WITH JUPITER ✨💫: this is just like a sew in except one is sew in with an full track and one is micro weaved in.

Ravage / Gorge Jetson: do you have video to show how to do sides of scalp

AnythingForSelena: Cute extensions, but pricey!

Eli4shawt: amazing job she looks incredible

Ashley Henry: Is it 1000 every 6-8 weeks? How much is the upkeep?

skyetaylorr_x: i live in australia and got these done, 18" for about $400, $1000 is just ridiculous in my opinion..

Lindsey Graves: how much is a full set of 18 inch ?

brandi kayy: How long do they stay in your hair? AND A THOU-THOUSAND DOLLARS??

El_love: Why do you recommend this if you mentioned how it severely damaged and thinned your hair?

Kait Nichole: Wow! Iv had a couple people comment from Australia & from what I'v heard they are SO much cheaper over there!! Thats crazy!!! :(

Francheska_xox: HOLY SHIT more than a grand for 18 inch extensions :O

Fashionlove: THe extensions are not very long for the price

365daysofveronica: Omg.. The place I'm about to get my hair done at only cost $100 for them to be installed and about $50 for each bundle (I need 3) which comes to a total of $250. What a rip off...

Chelsea Taylor: Does it damage your hair?

cece kend: I love this, but nobody has 1000 just chilling around.

Little Bitch: i dont understand what im soposed to do for when i get to the top of the hair... like do i do different sections so you cant see it or...

Kait Nichole: Well if you only had them for a day you didn't really allow yourself time to adjust. Anything you add to your hair weather it be micro rings, fusions or clip ins. The first day is without a doubt going to be awkward and uncomfortable. & Clip ins are great. I do love my clips!! lol but as a long time user. They are NOT good for your hair. You can end up getting bald spots. So for someone like me who wore my clips every day these are far more gentle on my hair. Its not for everyone tho!! :) xo

il4dds: I want those.

Key Tyan: it really ruins your hair, pulling out.... and when your hair grows longer it just looks and IS a mess..

tamoniva12: Very nice.

Katrina: Over $1000 for fake hair? That could pay my months rent!

starr hatton: look like it takes to long ill do what i been doing . time is important .. just hiding beeds under your hair

Nicole Christine: Totally understandable! I hope you didn't think I was trying to be a bitch with my comment!!! :( I was just kinda like "WOAH" cause I thought you showed your hair without them once and you looked so cute. My bad love. To each his own- I hate when people bother me about what I choose to spend my money on so I feel like I just acted like a hypocrite- just wanted to apologize! <3 xxx

Alisha Bee: Flat Iron info plz

Libby Adams: They don't look very blended..

♡ Ashley Elyse ♡: The price is ridiculous

Nicole Christine: 1000 DOLLARS!!!!?!?!?!?! HOLY SHIT BALLS. Love you Kait, but that's NUTS. I could NEVER. You look beautiful without them... You could do SO MUCH more with that money!!! Cmon girlll!!!

Nicolelynnn: throwing up at the sight of the price...girl you cray cray!

Jessica Arvizu: dont get me wrong i love extensions but this way to have them put on is just a waste. I had them done this way and they did not last long at all and I was super careful with them...but what doesnt work for me might work for me might work for someone else.

Megan Coplan: I would rather embrace my own hair.

navygirlist: Those are cool puppy ;O a "Tool"

Kait Nichole: I didn't either! I saved forever!! lol

Kait Nichole: No one said extensions are cheap!! lol they aren't for everyone.

Lindsey Graves: nvm found it!

Janiya Lapat: It's pretty but can't you just wait for a little bit to let your hair grow? Everyone's Different but My hair grows about 6 to 8 inches a year and it's free....

Adrianna Cota: help!! I have think hair and I can't and don't know what extensions brand to buy :( I got tape in extensions and I don't like the way it looks because the lady didn't have enough hair :( please help
