Hey y'all, so i'm back with another video i recorded this whole video. It was like 18 minutes, but i'm not going to harp on that because i i'm filming on my cell phone, so i wasn't sure how to like position my phone to the video. So i kind of jacked it up now i can't rotate it back. It'S a mess so um, and now i don't even know where to look at so i'm just looking at myself. I guess but y'all. This video is supposed to be my six month. Update today is actually the 14th of november. I plan to have this video out. I want to say the 17th, which will be my actual six month: um, not anniversary. That'S not what i wanna. I guess my six month landmark or my mind: ain't processing. The word that i wan na use so yeah, but anyways just to kind of get into my hair. It'S been a long day like i said i'm at six months. I did not make any videos for the other two one or two months, that i um landmarks that i hit um. I did get my hair in a lot and i did not do it. I actually went to a luck, lady um. She did my hair, and that was my first time, letting someone other than myself re-tighten my hair. The experience was great. It felt nice letting someone else wash my hair. The only thing is she combined a couple of my logs um. I wasn't too happy about that and i didn't notice it until i got home even when i seen it at the actual salon or whatever i was excited. I loved my hair. My parts were so crisp and clean y'all. It was looking good. It was looking real good. My hair looked good felt good um. Excuse me, it was just it took three to four hours which i expected. I didn't expect for um, but i was expecting it to take that long. It just took a little longer than i in that time frame that i thought um. I did pay her 150 to do my hair, it's kind of bad, but it's not that bad, considering um. She. I think i'm talking about this in my last video. She recommends that i wait at least like three months before coming back to let her retighten it she already twisted in between, or whatever needs to be done to make it look good to refresh it. But as far as re-tightening, she uses a regular lock needle to retighten, so she says to cause less pain and less tension, less damage um from ripping through my hair. She would rather me have a significant amount of new growth before she actually like re-tightens it. For me, so that was great um, some of the locks that she combined were actually around my perimeter. You can kind of see. I have a lot of gaps right here. Um, a lot of these locks have been combined, like all of these locks, probably equal to two locks on my head um. It doesn't look like that now, even on this side, it doesn't look like that now, because i actually after noticing, that she combined my locs while my hair was still fresh, i actually went in and fixed it. I i took. I took the interlocks loose um because she had done it so neatly. I was able to kind of see which direction she interlocked my hair in and i was able to reverse it or just to wet my hair and kind of comb it loose to release those locks. So i was able to fix that she did combine some in the back, which actually turned out to be useful, because during my last wash i lost a lot of um locks around my edges, pretty much they just slipped out. They. I had a lot of slippage. So um the locks that i re-established on my edges, they pretty much washed off. They came untwisted on interlock. They just disappeared off my head, so um. Luckily i just took those locks that she combined um. They would have like two legs to them. So i just basically cut off one of the legs and reattached it to these locks. So i really attached this one. I retouched this one and i did a poor job because you can see the knot right here, so i may actually go in and fix that. But i did reattach that one i reattached this one and this one which is trying to thin on me it's starting to slip, so i might have to go back and redo it or just cut it off and just let it be. I haven't decided yet, but yeah that experience actually went really well. I would go back to her. I just would make her. I just would bring it to her attention that i prefer not to have my locs combined, without my knowledge put it like that um. However, i do think it was some of it was accident, and some of it was intentional um, because the way that she washed my hair, she gave me a really good, scrubbing and i feel like because of how overgrown my hair was. Some of my lots. Kind of how to put they molded together or matted together, and she probably just thought i was unlocking by the time you the first interlock - is kind of done for um. So i think some were a mistake, but others were intentional, because i would have like three different locks combined together y'all. I said i may think about combining my locks in the future, but i want to do it on my own time. I don't want somebody else doing it for me um and that that decision is kind of drifting slowly away. So i'm kind of moving away from that, because i do like the size of my hair and i like the way it looks even though right now it still kind of looks like a wash and go um. I do have a couple of locks that have actually again to lock up where's this one. This one is trying to fully lock on me. I have a couple in the front. This one is pretty much locked. This one is fully locked y'all. This one is still my favorite one, it just always sits where i need it to sit. I like it - and i have a lot in the back that have pretty much locked up on me, but i do have a lot of budding on the ends of my hair, so yeah and i do feel, like my hair - looks fuller um than it was looking. So i'm starting to get a little more thickness fullness in my hair, which i am enjoying, even though it looks like a wash and go, but i do like that. Look so y'all, i'm enjoying the the hair freedom i'm enjoying not having to do my hair. I enjoy just waking up shaking my hair spritzing it with water and put a little oil on it. Just going. You know what i mean um so yeah, so i thought it wasn't. Recording that y'all was gon na get upset. Something was ringing, but yeah yeah, i'm enjoying it so far. I didn't do any videos because i felt like my hair wasn't really changing and after i got my interlock my hair was. I was just being lazy, but i'll insert like my interlock video over here somewhere um. This is how it was looking. I want to say a couple of days after i had it done or that same day. I can't remember when i did that video, but this is how it looks. Um yeah and, as you can tell i did dye my hair. I dyed it um. This is yeah. I felt like my hair. It was just it was unbalanced. I feel like it was unbalanced, so um, my roots, really all of this - that is, this brown color. All of this was like dark brown, and then i had these bright highlights at the bottom, so i did go in with the dark and lovely sunkissed brown and i did my roots and all that black area. So now i feel, like my hair, is a little more balanced. It'S not this like strong. I don't know i don't know it was just a little harsh having that black and then like the little blonde tips, and i feel, like my blonde tips - there's not enough tilt for all the brown that i had in my head. So if you get what i mean you get it, but it was a little too harsh for what i wanted. So i did lighten my roots and i, like this color, i don't plan on dyeing my hair any anytime soon. I i think this is it so far um. Let me see what else i really don't like doing these videos, because i honestly don't know what to talk about and i'm just going along with the journey and it's hard to document it, because once you get in the groove and you just kind of just it's Hard to document it um because it gets very repetitive um, but yeah. Some of my hair is trying to bunch up on itself. But you know what i don't care um. I am seeing a lot of shrinkage, but that is kind of expected because when it locks up your hair is pretty much curling up on itself, so it will cause shrinkage. So i'm not upset about that. If i do want my hair stretched out, i just put it up in a i'll just either plait it up or put it in a ponytail, a bun, and i just put like a twister on it. So when i wake up in the morning, it's a little more stretched um. The only thing that i'm concerned about are my wash days so far um. I do think i'm gon na start planting my hair up kind of like how the system community does their hair. How they're told to plan it up and then wash it um? I think i'm gon na start doing that, because i've noticed when i wash my hair. I don't do anything to it. I just leave it loose um my roots start to slip so to kind of combat that and to stop it or to kind of help help it not be so bad. I'M probably going to start planting my hair up and just washing my my um scalp, because i don't like the way my locs have been slipping and i always have to redo my edges and a few in the back and stuff like that. So kind of to avoid that or some preventative measures i might start planting my hair up for now on um yeah. I haven't really got into many styles with my hair, i'm just trying to let it be and let it breathe and just let it do what i want to do right now. So i haven't been doing a lot of updos or just hairstyles in general, with my hair. It'S usually like this and i either have a middle part side part. I might flip it to the other side and that's pretty much it for my hair me and my hair um. There have been occasions where i've done like a up down, but it's very rare because i enjoy not having to do my hair. So this is what i'm trying to do and it's doing it so um yeah that has been what's been going on lately. What else? Thank you. I think i've posted my short of how i refresh my hair. I still have my water bottle and i just kind of spritz, my hair. I got water everywhere. I just spritz my hair with my water. I am thinking about incorporating rose water and i think i did put a little bit of conditioner in here. Just to give me a little more moisture and dilute it, so it probably has like a drop or two of conditioner in here, but it's just water um. I use this. I just put it on my scalp when i'm feeling a little itchy while growth oil, the smell on this, is really strong. So i don't use this to seal my hair um from my past curl boxes. I found this so i didn't have to go buy oil um, but i sometimes put this on my actually i kind of want something on my scalp. It'S kind of itching right there, but i like to put this on my scalp and i also seal my hair with this. So i'll put some of this in my hand, and i use my blueberry bliss growth. Oil put those in my hand, mix it together and i'll just scrunch my hair and then i'll, probably spritz. Some of this on i like the way it smells um but yeah that is usually my routine in the morning um until i run out of those products. I don't think that's going to change anytime soon and y'all seen how big this bottle is like look at all this oil. Look at all this oil there's a lot of oil in there um and it doesn't take much a little goes a long way. So that is my daily routine um. If you have any questions or any um, any advice that you can give me with my loc journey. I do welcome those in the comment section below um or just some topics to discuss. Once i come back for my next update, i'm not sure if i'm gon na do one from month, seven um, but definitely i know my year mark i'm definitely gon na. Do a video for that and if i do choose to style my hair any differently. I will do a video on that as well um, but, besides that this is my hair month. Six i'll give you a 360. and yeah and i'll probably throw some videos in here or pictures in here of how my hair has been looking through these last couple of months, so yeah y'all, i like these contacts. These are from half of kristen, and these are the secretive, kristen cream. I think, but they look so similar to the kristen brown, but i do like these, so i've been wearing these too and with my hair it is just pops yeah. This is how my hair is looking so far. I have to do it a bootleg way because i don't have a spinach here, so yeah just bear with me yeah. This is my hair. I do have a lot of stragglers, i'm thinking about giving my hair a trim, because some of it is getting kind of thin. I don't care for it, but i'm having a lot of stragglers just like doing their own thing and i don't really like it. But i'm trying to let the lock process do what it's going to do without you know messing with it, but yeah anyways. I hope you all enjoyed this video again. This is my six month update on my micro lot journey and again leave any questions. Concerns advice, topics in the comment section below. I will appreciate those a lot but anyways. I will see you guys in my next video see ya.

JasM: So I know you talked about slippage after washing. So would  you say it takes micro locs longer to loc than standard locs or depending on hair texture? I've always assumed the smaller the loc the quicker it'll loc up. Also what is the difference in interlocking vs combining? P.S- Best wishes on your loc journey, patience is key!
