Hi I'm T Cooper, I'm a New York City, makeup, artist, hairstylist and co-founder of beauty and grooming company Metro. Look. I recently was asked how to style, hair extensions for black hair. You can pretty much style, hair extensions, the way that you would style your normal hair, but something that I personally like to do, especially if you have a full head of weave. It'S I like to separate the extension hair from my hair and I like to especially if I'm gon na be doing heat, styling and then I'll put the hair over it. It'S not necessary, but that's how I like to do it, but even if you have clippings like my model, sometimes I'll do it that way. So what I'll do is whatever hair? This is the clip in hair. I would probably just section this off and deal with this separately and then be just a little bit more gentle with the styling for my hair. But as long as you get human hair, you can style it any way you want. So I'm gon na show you how to curl this first I like to spray, then I just like to comb through it to make sure the products distributed evenly. Then I go in with a curling iron. This is a 1 inch that I'm using whatever direction you like to curl your hair is fine. Some people like to curl it away from the face some people like to curl it toward the face. If you're an away girl go for it, if you're a toward girl, go for it, hmm having difficulties people but i'ma, get it together. So here we go, I'm gon na slide it in down a little bit, so I can get the whole end in there and then you just hold it hold it until it feels hot. So you can keep touching it every couple of seconds just to see how warm it's getting, and since I took a pretty big section, you know if you have to allow a few more seconds to get the whole thing hot. It'S pretty warm now! So I'm just gon na let it go, and now I'm gon na go back in with my spray just to make sure that it holds, and you would repeat this process throughout your whole entire head and then, when you get to your top, which would be your Natural hair, you'd kind of like comb it down blend it in as best as you can just to make sure that you cover the tracks and there's nothing showing and then you'd go in and then you'd curl, your normal hair and, of course, with your normal hair. It usually heats up a lot quicker, then extension hair does so you probably only need a few seconds with your real hair. Oh, I find that to be the case anyway for myself, so you leave it there just for a few seconds until it gets hot and with the normal hair. I don't like to use as much spray as I do on the extension hair, so you notice, I sprayed the extension hair, but I didn't spray her real hair, because hair spray tends to dry out hair if you overuse it. So if you can avoid it in any way, go for it, but sometimes you just need it, and then you just finger comb through it and you see how beautifully the curls Bend together. They blend together really nicely so I'm tee Cooper. I hope this helped you and thank you so much for watching you,
