Dreamcatchers Hair Extensions Installation On Really Short Hair + Awesome Vivid Color Transformation

Hey guys, we have Catherine here today and I want to talk to you this morning about where you want to get done. What are you looking for? Well, I had a Pixy about six months ago and it's finally thrown out. So this is my natural color. I'M interested in introducing maybe some pink and or silver add some color here. I still have a little bit of bleach down at the tips from that this is my natural color, maybe about three inches. Okay, are you, okay with us lightening all this up here? Yes, absolutely perfect, and are you also wanting to go longer today? Yes, definitely? What liens are you thinking? What would be your goal? Maybe you bite Eugene, I kiss about twenty inches. Okay, perfect, awesome! Well, let's get started so now that we've decided what we want. Our final product to be I'm gon na go ahead and light her hair, I'm gon na use light nur and Toni volume. I'M only going to apply it in the beginning right where her natural color is I'm not going to touch these ends with the lightener at this time, but so how'd you get started with. So, whenever you're mixing up your Lightner and your developers, you want to make sure that you have a nice consistency. You don't want it to be too runny, because you want to be able to apply a nice good layer to the natural hair. So you get good coverage so whenever you're pre lightening the hair again, you only want to put it on the natural. You don't want to overlap on the ends. Whenever you are doing vivid, you have to get to at least about a level eight or nine. It really honestly depends on what goal you're going for. So since we are going for like Silver's bright neon colors, we want to make sure to get her to at least a level ten and then we'll tone out any of the yellow. Also, when you're doing all over bleach, you want to be sure to go back after you've done your first application and go through and make sure you have good saturation. So now that we have the lightener completely applied, I'm gon na go ahead and place a process. A cap over it that way, she'll continue to lighten to the desired level and then next we'll go ahead and wash her and get her toned. So now that we have had her lighting for a little bit, I'm gon na go ahead and check and see what she's been processed to what I'm looking for is. I want to try to get her natural level to match the ends, and now I'm going to go ahead and pull it through again and just do a second application of the lightener over the top so because it does seem to dry out sometimes after a while. We want to keep it processing just to get that little bit more lightness that we need. So let's go ahead and get to that next step. So, while her colorist processing, we are going to go ahead and prepare the extensions because she has such a short dense. Bob we're going to use ten packs of tapings now with tape ends. I can't do the vivid color afterwards like I normally would, because you don't want to wash the tape for about 48 hours afterwards, so we're gon na go ahead and pre color these. That way. Whenever we get her hair finished, we'll be ready to install so the way that I like to prepare my extensions, I use these things called a drawing part. So what the reason why they call it a drawing card? Is you can actually draw the extensions through it? Wigmaker'S you have used these for years, I'm going to go ahead and set them all out, so I can have them easily available to go ahead and pre color them all. So now that she's all done in the shampoo bowl we're gon na get her ready for the next step, which is to apply the vivid color, but I don't want to apply it while it's still wet. So I'm gon na go ahead and get her dried. So now that we have her completely air dried, it's time to go ahead and apply the silver vivid to her entire natural hair, so normalize her color. I would part it into four quadrants and apply it that way, but because her hair is so short, it's really hard to do that. But I still like to follow the same pattern and separate it the exact same way with Vivid you want to allow it to sit for about thirty minutes. I'M gon na start in the back, because that is where her color was just a little bit deeper. So anytime that you're applying tapings everybody can I have their own method. I like to use the rat tail comb and place it right at the very bottom of it. You don't want to place it too high, because you don't want to mess with the adhesive. So then I take it place it underneath and then press the hair right over the top of it. Easiest could be so now we have all of the packs installed it's time to do the haircut. What I want to do, since she has very short hair, is - I have to start layering from here underneath her hair all the way down to the perimeter. So I'm going to go ahead and get started with that Valve almost completely finished the haircut we're doing a few final touches washes and quarantined. She went ahead and cut her own bangs, so we're going ahead and going back in and evening those up, so we're about to be done. You'Ll see the final result very soon.
