You are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you. (Sol. 4:7)

Hey guys for this week's video, we are going to be talking all about hair and hair extensions. Specifically, you guys asked me about my hair. Almost every day I get tons of questions about it, so I just wanted to make a whole video talking about hair. I'M gon na tell you guys about my experience with hair extensions, which ones I've had which are the hand-tied and the keratin bonden. So I'm gon na compare and contrast the two and I'm just gon na answer. All the questions that you guys have asked me about. The hair, so let's get started so first, my natural hair is very thin, very fine. It does grow long, but it's very stringy because it's like super thin and it's flat. It gets greasy. I used to have to wash my hair everyday but yeah. So my hair is just thin, it's not very strong, it's very it's just not quality hair. You know it's just not the best, and so I had wanted extensions for ever, but I put it off because I knew that once I got them, I would never go back. I was a little wary about getting them and so for photo shoots and stuff like that. Obviously I wanted voluminous beautiful hair, so I would use clip in extensions - and I didn't really know anything about them, so I just bought amber Phillips barefoot blonde clip in extensions. You could kind of tell you could see it if I move my hair because they weren't dyed specifically to my hair color. What you can do, which I would recommend, if you're gon na get clipping so that they match perfectly. But I just wasn't really satisfied with them, so I finally decided to pull the trigger and just get hair extensions because hair by Chrissy, I'm sure you guys know her. She is like the goddess of all hair extension people. She is amazing. She was coming to Orange County to teach other hairdressers how to do her extension method, which, if you don't know it's called habit hand tied extensions I'll, put the tag right here. She was looking for a model to come and kind of be the dummy in the class like sit there have all of her people put the extensions on, so the other hairdressers can see what it's like, and I was like heck yeah I hear but Chrissy's getting To my hair, yes, please sign me up, so I went down there and they did my hair honestly. I had no idea what to expect so I got that done in July and then in December I switch over to keratin bonden extensions, and so I'm just going to compare and contrast the two of them. So if you don't know what hand side extensions are they are wefts of hair thickest string with hair on it. So it's a big old weft in here, and they put it on your in rows, got two rows. So two rows appear and they just pile on the hair and then they sew it into your natural hair. I don't know if I just did a good job of explaining that or what, but basically it's rows of here that are just sewn in onto your head and keratin. Bonding extensions are little tiny pieces of hair that are glued onto your head, so the habit ones are just too big long rows, whereas the bonded ones are kind of spread out all throughout your head, just like little pieces glued on okay, so number one thickness. They are both amazing, thick, beautiful hair. I would say that the hand-tied ones I like that hair a little bit better, but that might just be because I had a more hair when I did that, because they just sewed in a lot of hair and those two rows. So it was like very thick and lush. This is a little bit thinner, but having a little bit less hair is a lot easier to maintain because more hair equals more work, and I realized that really quick blow drying and everything the hand-tied ones took a lot longer like they would never dry like. I could take a shower in the morning and then at night my hair would still be like damn, and so the bottom ones for me are a lot easier to like dry curl. I just get ready like in between washes and my hand-tied ones. I could last longer in between washes, and I think that was because the rows when I was washing my hair, I could wash in between the rows really easily and get all the hair in between the rows under the rows and on top. And then, if it had been a couple days, I could always just take my natural hair. That was on top of the first row and washed that that I could keep it fresh and it could last even longer the bottom ones. It is a little bit harder to wash because, like I said, they're all over my head kind of scrubbing in the roots, I'm finding my natural hair, it is a little bit harder to wash. I'M sure that the longer that I have them it'll be easier to wash, but right now I've been struggling to wash it a little bit and then I, my hair, is not like completely clean because they can't really get into all the roots and really scrub in There, and so I feel like I'm having to wash my hair a little bit more with the bonding ones, but honestly using dry shampoo every day is bad for your and dress it out. So washing your hair is good for it, so it's kind of like whatever you want to do. If you want to go a week without watching your hair, if you like to wash your hair a little bit more, it's just up to you. Another question that you guys asked is how long and do they last and so the hand-tied hair itself lasts for about a year. If you take really good care of it, keep it moisturized do a lot of treatments and all that kind of stuff, but you do have to get it moved up every two to three months. The bottom ones you'll only have to get them done. Every six to eight months, but every time that you get them done, you have to get new hair. So this kind of leads into the. How much does it cost question? It depends where you go to start off for the initial pricing. A lot of people are more expensive than others for the hand-tied extensions. The first time I went to Crissy and then for the move. Ups, I went to my friend, Moxie I'll, put her handle right here. She'S amazing - and she also still does my color, but she does the hand type extension. So she did all my move. Ups Crissy is really expensive. I think she charges anywhere from 2,500 to 3,000. So it's a lot. I don't know exactly what moxie charges, but I think it's around 1500 for the initial put in the hair itself is around like eight hundred dollars, so they just charge a couple hundred for putting it in and it does take all day. So it's not like they're overcharging, you and sanely, because it is a lot of work and the hair is expensive and they have to buy it. So you pay that initially and then, like I said every two to three months, you have to get a move up, and so it depends where you go, but those move ups are around three hundred dollars. I think so. You only have to buy the hair, which is the super expensive part like once a year, but you have to go move ups every two to three months and then with the bond and extensions. You only have to get them done every six to eight months, but every time you get them done, you need new hair and so the hair cost it depends on what you want like. I am blonde and I wanted the 22 inch. So I wanted blonde and long and a lot of it, and so for me, if the hair is about $ 700, which is expensive and then the opposite, they add on the feet of like putting it in. So it's around like a thousand to 1500. I would say again: it depends where you go. You have to pay that every six to eight months, but then you don't have to pay for the move ups, so I think long-term. They kind of end up being around the same cost. Another question that people ask a lot is: are they easy to hide, and can you see them mmm wait? No! Yes, yes, they're easy to hide, and no you can't see them. They are both really easy to hide. They both really blend in well with your hair. The rows are really nice because you literally cannot see them the only time that I had a hard time hiding the hand-tied ones was when I tried to do a half fun, because you have the row in the middle of your head, so you pull half your Hair up you kind of pull up your natural hair, that's hiding the row, and so it was kind of hard to like maneuver around that, but I would make it work. It wasn't impossible. It was just a little bit harder to hide it with the bonden ones. The only time that I have trouble hiding them is like, if I'm putting my hair in braids or something and there's a direct part in the back. Sometimes you can see them, but my plan for the next time I get them done, is to just tell my hairdresser that so that she won't put the extensions directly on that part. She could just kind of move them over so that when I do you do that part, you won't be able to see them all, so they are both very easy to hide, which is amazing, because I know that with tape ins, a lot of people say that You could see them and all that kind of stuff, so both of these are very easy to hide. Do they do it damage your hair is a very frequent question and yes, I feel like no matter what kind of extension you have it is going to do damage on your hair. So for me personally, I wish that I would have done more research before getting the hand-tied extensions, because a lot of websites warn you and say if you have thin hair, the hand-tied ones probably aren't the best move for you, which is very true, like I said, My hair is thin and so having all that weight of the hair on one little row of my thin fine hair wasn't good because a lot of that hair broke off. It just did a lot of damage to my hair and a lot of people say that if you have thin hair, then these ones are the way to go because they're, a lot lighter in your head, they're scattered throughout, like I mentioned before, but going back to The hand head extensions, I think that if you have naturally thicker stronger hair, I don't think that they will do a lot of damage. I think that they are perfect for people who have naturally thicker hair. Another question that you guys asked is: do they hurt? And yes, when I got the hand side extensions like I said I had never had extensions before so I did not expect them to hurt at all, because no one talks about it. No one says: oh, they hurt so much everyone's, just like obsessed with the hair that they have after so I had no idea what to expect and literally five minutes into it. I felt like I was gon na cry and the girls were like. Did you bring Advil and I was like no no told me that was was spring apple and I guess that I also have a very sensitive head, because I asked some people who I know that have him and they're like yeah, I mean it kind of hurts, But it's not that bad and I was like sweating. I was like about to cry. It hurts so bad. So I guess I just have a really sensitive pets. The keratin mono ones don't hurt as bad. They still hurt a little bit, but it's definitely not as bad but, like I said, if you don't have a sensitive head, I'm sure that you'll be fine. If you do take a lot of Advil, I personally think it's worth it. Beauty is pain. You know, and I could be being dramatic because a lot of people say it does hurt. But for me personally and another question that you guys ask are what kind of hair products do I like to use. So I went ahead and wrote a blog post. All about what hair products they like to use and these products are great for if you have hair extensions or if you don't have hair extensions. So I went ahead and linked that in the description, if you're looking for someone to go to and you're in the Southern California area, like I said for the hand-tied ones, I go to moxie I'll link, her personal account and her hair account, and she also does My coloring still and if I ever decide to go back to hand-tight extensions, she's, my girl and then for the bond and extensions. I go to Melissa I'll link. Her accounts right here. She did an amazing job as well and she's so sweet. So both these girls are really affordable, they're professional. They know what they're doing they're, not gon na mess your hair up, and if you have any questions that I did not cover, it leave them in the comments I'll be going through and answering all of them like. I said all the products that I used, my hair care regimen is linked down below so make sure to subscribe and turn on the notification bell, because every Thursday I'm going to be having new videos - and you don't want to miss them - and I love you all. Thanks for watching

Alysha Daroy: You need to move up keratin bonded extensions every 3-6 months, I personally have them done every 4 months or so and the final month I'm really looking forward to my appointment. Also, you do not need new hair for the bonded keratin extensions if you buy good quality hair and want to reuse it, the keratin bonds can be redone and reapplied using the same hair. You can add little new hair with every appointment because you naturally lose some of the hair with brushing, washing etc. I've used my extensions for 9 + months and I'm expecting them to last about 2 years. IF you leave keratin bonds in for too long that would put your own natural hair under too much pressure and that's how we get the "horror stories" that keratin ruined someones natural hair. I still think they are the best method out there out of permanent hair extensions.

beautylover24 channel: I love love love that you're uploading again!! How long does your hair have to be in order to get extensions and are they heat friendly? Can't wait for your new videos, especially the Caden does my voice over one. Hopefully that one will come in the next week or so

delly: How many bundles of keratin do you usually need and how many grams?

Reginald Pouncy: Maddie. U always be one of the beautiful female reactors ever.

virline honore: i didn't even notice that u had extensions! they look good

Dante Velasquez: You can re-use the hair with keratin bond it just gets slightly shorter each time.

Krystal Martinez: Can you dye/bleach your roots with the Keratin Bond ones?

Lindsay Leslie: “A couple hundred for install” uhhh no. $1500 minus the $800 ridiculous hair cost is $700 for the install! Also, hair shouldn’t cost $800. They’re 100% over charging you for the hair going on YOUR head which is really sad and infuriating in my opinion.

Annie Skywalker: My stylist only charges 1,200 and 100 for reapplication for the bonds

Jayna: Yay a new video already, p.s. i really love your hair

Mel's World: They get a discount for the hair and pocket YOUR money that you used and paid full price for. So they charge you full price for the hair while they get a discount.

Katie Swarbrick: How do u brush your hair out thoroughly without pulling the hair out

Ricky Zee: i've not spent that much on my hair in my whole life, and i;m older than you maddie lol
