My Experience Getting Micro Bead Hair Extensions

Hi guys, i'm back with another video, it's kind of a challenge. I guess i am getting natalie halcrow inspired hair extensions, so i'm going to take you to the appointment, see how they're put in everything and have stephanie my hairstyles kind of like explain the process. I upload videos every week, usually at the end of the week, but it's not a set day so be sure to subscribe and click. The bell notification and the reason that my hair looks like absolute trash right now is because, like she told me to come with it, unwashed and then she'll wash it at the salon and then put the hair extensions in. I don't know if we're gon na be like cutting some of it to make it less of a blunt cut, so that the hair extensions blend in a little bit more, so we'll see kind of what she wants to do. But this is my birthday present to myself this year, so i'm pretty excited. Last year, my birthday present to myself was dying, my hair blonde and i'll link that video here, so that you can check that one out too so because i did that i actually died over the bottoms. The blonde is pretty grown out now, but the bottoms are like turning orange again because i dyed them back to my original hair color. But it's fading because it's bleached underneath so i'm hoping to cover some of that up and also just add more volume and i'll show you the inspo photo right now. But if you don't know who natalie halcrow is check out her instagram feed, it's beautiful and she's. Just really pretty so here is the inspo photo that i sent to stephanie. She said i'm really not that far off from that, like my hair, is not that much shorter than that, but i don't know if i agree with that. I definitely know i'm far off from that in volume, so hopefully we'll get more volume today, even though she said my hair is not far off from that. I definitely don't agree. I this is one of the like unhappiest. I'Ve ever been with my hair, which is why i'm even getting hair extensions in the first place before this. The only extensions that i've ever used are the clip-in ones, but like right now, i feel, like my hair just looks like dora the explorer and that's just not a look that i want to go for, but like also dora, the explorer with like weird growing out Bangs or half grown out bangs, and it's just like a weird length to be this blunt, a cut not that i don't like the lob but like i feel like we're sitting in between the bob and the lob in a really ugly way. So hopefully, today is an improvement upon that here's stephanie she's, so good she's. So pretty i'm gon na link her instagram below, follow her. Please and here's my hair hanging here just like on the window and you already brushed it look at that. It'S clean and ready to ready to be go awesome! Okay. So how does it work? It'S not we're not doing taping, no we're not doing tapings. We are doing the beaded wefts okay, so we use your own hair to create like a form. If you will right. Um and then we just go in and put the hair on and then sew it on to the form, and that's it awesome, and how long does it last it can last anywhere? Well, it can last, however long you want them in, but you need to move them up every six to eight weeks, depending on your hair growth and depending on how fast your hair grows, and you know i can i have mine in and i can get probably About 10 weeks before i need to move them up nice so yeah, it's not bad, and then you just wash them like. Like normal yeah they're attached um, you can go swimming, you can go. Do all these other things with them and yeah they're, pretty cool. I'M excited we're blow-dried. We are bludgered, so some of the things that you're going to notice when i'm doing this um, it's gon na, feel a little tight kind of like you have a tight ponytail in okay and for whatever reason um always do. It feels like your hair hurts if you know what i'm talking about yeah, that weird, like my hair's, been up in ponytail all day. You should feel that way for about a day to day and a half okay. If it goes any longer than that, you foamy. It'S not normal yeah ibuprofen will help just kind of like use the tension. It'S more of a tension, thing uh. If it becomes more of an issue or if you have extreme itching or redness or just define your nose, okay and then we will take it out. Move it up we'll look into it, see why it's doing what it's doing, yeah or like loose in it or something yeah. We also during the whole time um through the beads that i'm putting on this, so we secure your form with beads. Okay. Does it help that i picked like a length? That'S not that different from mine, okay, i just depended on for this yeah like significantly. Okay, again, i have 10 wefts and mine was pretty long, but my hair, that's mine, it's not that much longer, but it is a lot more and so at first we're like oh man like. Why does it feel like? Why is my head just like so heavy um? It'S totally normal. I do want the the goal was like just more volume. Shall we begin. Let'S begin so. It'S like beaded into this round thing a little bit more of your own hair, but it doesn't have a sag to it. Okay, and it also helps it stay in a lot better, all right, a lot longer, because my hair is so slippery. Okay, all the hair's in now here's mine and then here's this we haven't decided how long it's going to be what okay, i'm back home now um. I didn't want to shoot the after, while at the salon, because i had to be masked and i wanted, like you guys, to get the full effect. So this is what it looks like now. Um after we dyed it, we had to wash it again and then come back and just kind of like texturize it a little bit to blend it in um. Just so, we wouldn't have like two distinct layers, because my actual hair is only like this long. The extensions were that long, but then we trimmed them up just to make it blend better and kind of look more like the inspo photo which i'll look at again and show you guys again here um and we had to dye the ends again because it was Going back to that bleached thing from last year, then she curled it so when it was straight it did blend well still and you'll. You guys will see it in later videos too straight, but i do think it blends a little bit better when curly so i'll show you all of it here you go and here's the inspo photo again just so you can kind of see. Hers is more dramatically parted to the side than mine, but um yeah. Do you guys think it looks really different than it was before?
