*Honest* Bel-Hair Clip-In Curly Hair Extensions Review | Alya Amsden

What'S up guys welcome back to my channel, my name is alia if you are new here so in today's video, as you can tell by the title, i am going to be reviewing a curly hair extension brand and the brand is bell hair. I was super excited when belle hair reached out to me and wanted to send me some of their curly hair extensions to try out - and i knew you guys would be really interested in this too. As a lot of you are curly girls as well on this channel before we get started, i would absolutely love it. If you would consider subscribing to my channel. I upload a video now that further ado, let's jump into it so before we get into the product review, i'm going to take you over to their website right now and show you exactly what they have to offer. So i'm just on their instagram page here and i'm going to go to the link in their bio and go to their home page. So i'm going to go to the top left tab, and here you can either do a hair quiz to kind of find out. What your hair texture is what you might need. I have 3a curls, so i'll pop up a curl chart as well. If you're not really sure what your curl pattern is, they told me that they sent me the exotic curly. Now i'm pretty sure that was the bougie 320 gram set, not 100. They have the uh exotic curly as well in the lux set, and i believe i think it's in the classic as well. Let'S see yeah, it is so kind of, depending on like what thickness you need. You can go by how many grams, so i'm going to go back to the bougie 320 gram set here and those ones are actually sold out. So apparently it's a very popular hair type, but we're just gon na have a little look anyway. So yeah you can see that curl pattern matches my hair pretty well, they have some before and afters, and i'm thinking i have the 24 inch set in the natural black. So you can either do natural black or dark brown and, what's great is it also actually gives you a description of what hair type it's best suited for so here it says the exotic curly is best for 3a to 3b curl pattern. So that's perfect because that's my curl pattern. They also give you styling and hair care tips if you're not familiar or you've, never owned extensions before shipping info and returns. So i'll click on a few of these other ones. Just so that you can kind of see what those look like this is the beach wavy set, and this is best suited for 2c hair type. So if you have wavy hair and then there's also island curly, here that's best suited for 3b to 3c tight corkscrew spiral, curls and deep curly, which is also a 3a 3b curl pattern. So you can kind of decide if you want to do like the deep curls or the exotic curls. If you have the same hair type as me, i prefer the exotic curls they look a little bit like softer, not quite as tight. My hair does kind of like loosen up over the course of the day. They also offer some ponytail options here and still, if none of those work for you what's really cool, is you can actually build a custom set? So that's pretty interesting. You can choose if you would like to have clip-ins, wefts or l-tips, which i'm not really familiar with, that is or eye tips. Sorry, and you can choose how many grams you want. You can choose the length you can choose what the roots look like and you can choose how long you want the ombre on the roots to be and then down here. You have the color choices and you can upload a photo of your color texture of your hair and then leave any info in the box below. So that's pretty cool. I haven't seen another hair company that actually offers that much customization. So i definitely appreciate that. I switched the lighting, so hopefully it's okay, but let's just dive on in now to the actual product review, which everyone has been waiting for. So upon receiving the hair, you will have two small bags that actually have hair in them. So the main bag here and then a small little one here with a tester piece of hair. You also get a bag like this to put your hair in it when you are not using it now, i really wish that it did come with a little hanger. Some of the other extensions i have do have like a little zip up bag that has a hanger that you can clip your hair in, so that you can have it hanging and it doesn't get all crunched up and doesn't really mess up. The pattern of the curls - so maybe this is something that they'll incorporate in the future. So the first thing i did was, i opened the small little bag here that had the single two weft in it, and this was just so that i could make sure it was the correct curl pattern before committing and opening the whole thing. So i definitely recommend you do that. Another thing i want to know is with all curly hair extensions. Usually, when you get them, they are kind of like wrapped up, so you are going to need to probably dampen the ends a bit just to get them to unkink. It'S not going to be just this brand. It'S going to be every single brand. So it's just something to think about. If you notice the ends are a little bent or stringy when you first get them just kind of stick them under the tap and get them wet and then just lay them flat. So this was the tester piece and i would say that it does match my hair pattern pretty well. The color is actually spot on, which is nice, so i usually always go with the 1b color. I think that that is good for me now in the second bag. You get a pack of instructions here, they have them on the website as well, but this is just nice to have on hand anyway, and it just tells you the importance of conditioning the hair allowed to air dry for best results, use, sulfate, free shampoos, etc. So if you're a curly girl, you probably already know that you want to treat your extensions. The way you'd treat your normal hair, so yeah kind of that's a bit of a no-brainer anyway. The other thing i want to say is that they ship internationally - and this is actually their very first time - shipping, ireland, so i'm the very first customer in ireland to ever receive bell hair. So that's pretty exciting and the shipping was really quick. It got here in about a week, so i was impressed by that. No issues there pretty easy. You know standard shipping time now, let's move on into the hair, so, as you can see, there's quite a bit of it here, which is nice, because my hair is a little bit more well, it's definitely on the shorter side, but um the cut at one point Was kind of layered now it looks just a bit more blunt, so when my hair is a little bit more blunt, i definitely need more extensions to clip in to really kind of layer it out so that it doesn't just look so you know straight across so It comes with two five clip wefts here, so that's actually quite a lot. I don't think i've ever owned. A five clip weft. So that's actually nice, because it's gon na really wrap all the way around your head. So you have two of those. Then you will get two three clip wefts, so those will look like this again nice and full they're, nice and thick all the way to the bottom, which i really appreciate not too much shedding. I mean all extensions: do have a bit of shedding and then you actually have five of these little two clip wefts technically six, because you do have the one now that came in the little tester pack. That piece seems to be about the same thickness as the other ones, so yeah you have all together. Six of these guys, i'm gon na do a little demonstration kind of tutorial on how i do mine. So if you aren't really sure how to clip in curly hair extensions - or this is your first time then hopefully this will help you out a bit. But overall i'm impressed with the quality they do feel like. They need a good like scrunch out, maybe add a little oil to them just to soften them up a bit, but they seem like they're going to hold their shape really nicely, which is definitely important and, like i said i did wet the ends of all of Them and they stayed perfectly curly and make sure always when you wash and detangle that you don't detangle them or brush them when they're dry just make sure that they have a lot of conditioner in there start the bottom and work your way up. You have to be really gentle, especially with curly hair, so i've got a few clips on hand here. I'M gon na try and use these ones so that i don't really like get my hair caught in the claw clip, but we'll see how that goes. And if you see me looking over here, it's because my mirror is over here and i'm looking at it. So i can do my hair, so the first thing i'm going to do is i'm going to section my hair about like an inch or two above my ear, all the way back, i'm so sorry, if my armpits look unappealing, my self-tan is fading and um, like I said i live in ireland, so i'm normally extremely pale. So i'm i didn't really think this one through, but i probably should have worn a shirt that covers that. So i'm so sorry, so i'm left with this and i think i'm going to use one of the five clips first and the clips seem heavy duty, good quality. They don't seem like they're, going to be flimsy or break off or anything like that. So what i do is, i just take the actual entire weft, and then i flip it. So then it's facing where my scalp is here and then i just clip it up to the top there and, like i said it's probably gon na, be a bit of a challenge to blend my natural hair in. But i have every ounce of confidence that will make it work. So i don't know if you can see, but there is the first one clipped in there now i'm going to take my hair down and i'm just going to repeat that same process about an inch above where i clipped that one in i'm going to section my Hair again - and i feel like going all out today - so i'm actually going to use the second five clip weft here. Repeat that flip it over and clip it in so far so good. It'S definitely thickening up my hair, making it look nicer. Then i'm gon na go in with one of my three weft clips here and i'm going to just put this on the side on this side. So i'm going to go about an inch above where that five weft clip is, and then i'm just going to place. This right here now, obviously depending on how much hair you have or how thick you want, it's really again, customizable you can customize on the website. Like i showed you, they have different options. You can choose from for different thicknesses. I like to go all out and like have a massive like lion's mane situation happening, so i might put in more hair than you might like, but again it's personal preference. You can really do it. However, you want then, on the same side, i'm going to take one of the two clips section, just above that other piece there now we're gon na move on to the other side and just repeat the same process. So a three weft clip about an inch above where that five weft is there and then again a two weft here above where i did that three okay. So this is the final result. I really like how it looks. It feels really nice. The curl pattern matches really well and despite having all this hair on my head, it actually doesn't really feel that heavy. So i don't think you'll really worry too much about getting headaches, which is always good.
