What'S up beauties welcome back to my channel holy hair in this video, i'm going to be showing you guys a different method than my previous hand, tied extension, tutorial video. This method is going to be a little bit easier and a little bit different, but with hand-tied extensions. There are so many different methods, and it just depends on your client's, hair type thickness. You know if they have really fragile, fine hair or if they have thick coarse hair. It just depends on what method you're going to do and also how many wefts you're putting in and how much length they want. Everything like that. So these are all things to take into consideration when choosing what method to do for your hand, tied extensions, so i just want to get that out there also, as you guys know from my previous video, i am self-taught, so i do not have a hand-tied certification From anyone i don't call it anything um, i don't have special names for these methods. Maybe i'll come up with names in the future, but i'm just kind of sharing with you guys what i've learned just kind of doing this myself in my own experience and what works in my clients, hair everybody's, going to be different. So just keep that in mind. While watching this tutorial take some notes, if you want, you can always re-watch it, and i do recommend if this is your first time doing this practicing on a mannequin or maybe some girlfriends that want to try hand-tied extensions, you know buy some of the tools and You know have that client or person or friend buy the hair, and then you just say like hey, i'm practicing this new method and do it for free on them so that you can get some practice in and it's nice to practice on real people after you've Practiced on mannequins, because then they can wear the hair and they can live in them and you can kind of see like what works and what doesn't work. So, just like anything in the hair industry, you learn as you go, and you can always tweak things next time around so so before i get started, i like to kind of set everything up for my client um. So this is gon na, be the weft that we're tying in. It is two wefts two hand tied wefts, and these are super long, they're, 22 inches um, she's, really just doing this for fullness and a little bit of length. So we're only going to do one row because she has super super fine hair. We did try two rows on her previously with two wefts on each row and she found that that was just too much hair for her to manage. So we discovered that only one row works best for her and we tried the one row and it looked full enough, so it ended up actually working like i said everyone's hair is different. Every client is going to be different. So just keep that in mind. If you watched my previous video, i showed you guys that i got a hand-tied kit from jay-z styles. This is the kit. It comes with scissors, thinning, shears, the bead applicator and it comes with the pliers and then the tool to remove the beads. So i got a kit from her. I did not get certified from her, but i purchased her extension kit, i'm going to string the needle and get that set the hook style needle. I got off of amazon in a 10 pack. I will link that in the description, the yarn i got from jay-z styles and also the beads i got from her as well, but i also use hot heads beads too, so i have two different kinds of beads that i like to use, depending on the client's Hair type, okay, so what i'm going to do? First, is i'm going to measure out some yarn and i'm just like measuring it with my arms and i'm taking two wingspans of yarn, and then i am just going to string this through the needle and then you're gon na meet it at the end and you're Going to take the two ends of the string and you're just going to tie a knot with this end, just like this all right, so you're going to have a double string and then you're just going to set this aside. And then, when you get everything set up, you're just going to want to have your bead clamping tool, your beads and your sewing needle and yarn - and i have here helping me today - she's gon na, be filming for me. While i do this tutorial for you guys. Okay, so i've got her sectioned and, as you can see, we have done a horseshoe section. That starts a little bit higher on the sides and then swings down low in the back there, and you want to make sure that you are at least two fingers above her ear. I am three fingers above her ear, so we've got plenty of room there and i'm going to go ahead and measure. So what we're going to do is we're going to take our weft and i'm going to place it around her hair and i'm just going to ask her to hold it. For me, real, quick and then i'm going to put my little pin curl clips on the edges where each end is so we're marking where we're going to you can go where we're going to start and finish the beads all right and i am going to be Using the blonde beads on her, this is the vanilla and i already have them on my little bead situation or bead stringer or whatever. This is called you'll just need a rat tail comb and we're going to start with the beading all right. So she has really fine hair. So i'm kind of like tightly i'm going to have to use the um beading tool here so coming up on the first bead pulling the hair through perfect. And then, when i'm using my clamping tool, you want to make sure that it's going to lay flat against her head, so i'm turning, i'm not going to clamp it here like this, i'm going to clamp it like this, oh okay. So this is what the beads are going to look like when you've got them all put in. I want it to be um. You want the end to meet up with the end of the hair. That'S in the bead on either side, all right, so you're going to clip the um extensions to her hair all around so that it holds secure and then we're going to take our yarn that we already strung through and i'm going to string it through her hair. Here on the end and you're going to go underneath the hair and then underneath the weft and on this first stitch, you're going to go through the two strings. And that is going to secure the end here. And then, whenever you're pulling it tight. You'Re going to pull upwards and i'm going to do a couple on each side and then i'm going to go underneath the bead as well all right and then i'm going to go underneath the bead and then on the side. So on the ends here, i'm just kind of gon na. I went all the way to the end and then i'm going back one stitch just to secure it at the end here, so it's really flat and then all we're going to do on this end piece here after we finish our last stitch is just cut it And then you're going to take the two pieces of string and you're going to tie it off on the end and you can kind of comb it through. This is how it's gon na look. Let'S go you

Jacqueline Artis: So its basically a braidless sew in ❤

Bri: I really just wanna come on here and thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video. I am currently in cosmetology school about to graduate in July and have been wanting to do hand tied extensions since I started but it’s not taught very long in the program and your video has taught me so much! You encouraged me to just teach myself how to do hand tied extensions since I don’t currently have the money to take the course right now .

Kate Anderson: this method looks wayyy easier than threading the string through when you put the beads in

Megan 90: This is how my hairdresser does my weave, and it last for 6 weeks minimum before I need a tighten ❤️

Nicki Giovanna: By far the best tutorial I have come across thank you!

HollyS: First of all, THANK YOU for taking the time to teach other cosmetologists these methods. YouTube is amazing. So I have a question, I want to try doing these on a close friend for the first time and she has very thin hair, tape ins were not healthy for her hair so one pack of hot heads comes with 2 wefts (2 pack) if I’m reading on the site correctly, I wonder if that’s enough? Was this just 2 wefts for this client sewn together?

Kiara Frazier: This was awesome! I definitely plan to practice with my Manikin head soon. And I didn’t know you could just order the jz styles equipment. That will save me a ton. Thanks for all you do!

Stephanie Torres: Thank you so much for sharing this!! I am just starting to teach myself this method on my own as well and your videos have been sooo helpful you’re awesome!

BARBIE BELLEZA: Thank you so much for this great tutorial! Is this method good for pools?

Cassie Slaughter: I'm so thankful you are sharing your advice and techniques on how to do this method. I'm teaching myself and your video has been soo helpful. Can you please share a ballpark of what the starting prices are for this method? As well as the re-service price? Thank you so much!

Cyenthia C: I've watched this video a few times and I love it, just wondering what size of beads you used for thin hair??? I have really thin hair and I wanted love to do this method too. Can't wait to see more videos...

Red W.: I have a shop on a reservation everyone has long thick native hair it's still fun to watch tho

Tahlia Freedman: I love these videos and I really appreciate you sharing your skills! I’m wondering what the benefits of this method is vs the other one? This seems like it would be more damaging, what do you think?

bbrgirls: Incredible!!!

jamielmail2: What brand are your pin curl clips? I have some I tried to use and they don’t hold the extensions up well.

Christina Bailey: I just love your videos!!❤❤ Can you do one on why you choose the extension products you use? The hair, the beads & the yarn? Also the products you like for caring for extensions? Thanks mucho!!

juarezb1302: Great tutorial! If you don’t mind me asking, how much do you charge for a service like this? I want to start offering this method of extensions to my clients

Alaina Hunter: Could you do a video on color matching and how you sew the wefts together for the rows?

Fatima Xo: Thank you for this video... I’m not about to pay someone $1700 for this when I can do it myself ✌

Nono: Going to try this out! Also, for some reason I thought you had to become certified in extensions to do them in a salon. Can you just learn the methods and perform the service without going through a program? TIA!

Rebecca Salyers: It was a great turtorial but I wouldve liked to have seen a little more before and after it was so fast! Thanks for showing us though!

Carman Creel: Best tutorial I’ve seen. Thank you so much!!!

Nono: What brands of hair do you recommend? I’m starting to practice but I’d like to figure out which brands would be best for my models!

Kayleigh Perry: Mad Mary Kate and Ashley Vibes so beautiful! And great tutorial, thank you! I also just realized after that comment that we have the same watch band mine has sunflowers though

JoHanna Dwigans: Love your videos your so real and not complicated , did you stitch one on each side of the bead and one through the bead?

Roxy Gory: Just watched both tutorial videos! I loved them thank you for showing the details. Why would I go for this method over the other or vice versa?

Ashton Casebier: How did you double the weft with just one row? Does that make since lol. Like is it it one weft one row or 2 wefts one row? And how did you do that if it was 2? Great job btw! I loved this and looks great!

Daniela Circiu: Hi, love your video, well done I'm currently learning this method, can I just ask how many rows do you usually use on a full head? Thx

Courteney Stinson: How do you suggest putting in more weft for someone who has thicker hair or they need more coverage on the sides? How short can the hair be for this method to blend? Thank you so much for the video. I will definitely be trying this out soon

kerry wood: I once had sew in extensions which were similar to this with the track but the hair was stitched to the bead. When the lady was stitching the hair into place it literally felt like the needle was going into my scalp and when it was done by the next day I had the most intense burning itch that was so bad I had my husband remove them for me. Is it normal for it to feel like that? Thank you for the video x

The Righteous Cry: That face after you got the thread through the needle God bless you, thanks for sharing

Farrah & Gangsta Mcgee: Hi! Loved the vid.I was curious can just your bangs be done like this?

Savannah Moreno: Great tutorial! What hair do you use ? I’m looking to start doing extensions too

E Jay: FYI the duck beck clip marking method is genius, my half fast instructor/professional stylist was teaching me all wrong and and making it really difficult for me to practice

Typhanni Jake Peshek: Do you seal the hair weft after you cut it to size of the section?

Darian Shae: Whats the best method for hair extensions? I want to get extensions but I don’t want to damage my hair its super healthy & would hate to ruin it.

Megan Raeann: Do you have any videos about how you would remove and move up the row?

luigina bustillos: Thank you so much. Finally i found a good tutorial

Ashley Oberg: Do you have a video on how to do a move up. Or do these need to be resewn each time?

Josette Green: Thanks! Where do you buy the hand tied weft?

Glen Lombard: I love you. Self taught or not. You are excellent!! And so real

Megan Snow: Great video! I don't want to pay for hand tied training bc I already do microbeads. I want to buy the kit you were talking about. Can you post a link? Best hair to purchase?

Josette Green: Thanks your so amazing! Good hearted hopefully baby is here healthy!

Natalia Gonzalez: Thank you so much for sharing

Mariah Fragoso: what brand of wefts do you like? I love your channel btw. :)

Capricia Rae: Definitely not a new method, but definitely a nice, detailed tutorial :D

Fatima Xo: Question please.... I have Bellamy Clip ins can I use them for this method if I remove the clips? I do have thick hair so was curious if the wefts come different depending on method used... I would appreciate a response... tysm ❤️

Anat Grinshtein: Hello This is a great video very well explained I xould like to know where can i buy these extensions please??

Lauren Blankenship: Hi! Love the video! Do you use 2 or 3mm? Or even something larger?

samantha Addison: So you never go THROUGH the bead with needle and thread ?

Coleen Matonic: Wow! So talented!

Stephanie Smith: Do you recommend this method or the previous method for thicker hair?

Kimberly Hartwick: How do you get them out? Is it every 6 weeks?

Megan Moone: you just radiate peace and kindness. nothing to do with the videos subject. just an observation <3

Britny Hensley: She needs like one more weft and texturize the ends

xtis1xchicx: Do you have Video or plan on doing a video on removing the wefts/extensions?

luxebyliam: ❤️

Christina Krasch: Do a video on the invisible bead method

Heather Perez: Could you stack 4 wefts instead of 2?

The beauty prophet: random question! what camera do you use to film ??

Erin Cremeans: Are you placing the needle through the closed bead or just around it? Sorry if this was a dumb question I couldn’t tell.

BRELAINEY: Doesn’t it make it hard to move the beads up when you sew in the middle of the beads? I thought your only supposed to do the left side and right

Jesse Tanner: Good video you seem like a very nice hair stylist and a very nice person:-)

Miriam Rios: Im a lic cosmetologist but never done extensions except a quick class in school. I want to buy the hair and practice on my daughter. Can you tell me good hair companies I can order hair from using my license online. Love the videos, Thanks

Lynda Scillitani: Loved it..super helpful

Dekresearch: Love your video! Do you know hair extensions from Parahair? I used them for many years and highly recommend this brand !

E Jay: May I ask what is the best yarn to use

GunsNRoses1123: In another video you said that you didn't sow on the hair because it's more damaging, why did you chose to do differently here? I see that this method is bit faster and easier but I just wonder if it's more damaging for the hair or not than just sow on the thread. I have thought about doing this om my own hair but that's with small rubberbands instead (because no way I can get those beads in my own hair) but I'm not quite sure if the rubberbands will hold up or if it's too damaging for the hair.

Marie Ramirez: Ask ally a see in w/o a braid lol

Linda Vazquez: Hi! Do you recommend to dye clients real hair days before extensions are applied? If so why do you recommend it?

Karen Perez: Hi just got sew ins last week and my scalp is red and the hair follicles have a yellowish bud on it. What should I do? Remove them and reapply or remove them and have my scalp heal?

Laura Christina: Any reason why my hand tied extension is sticking up at the root where the bead was placed closest to my face? My hair looks good but it almost makes my head look bigger if this makes sense.

Ariza Kärlek: What type of yarn are u using?

Erica Hempton: I know it will vary, but would you mind sharing how much this cost?

The Beaute Marc Collection: Nice!

JT S: Do you have a certain brand of hair you prefer? Or do you just get a weft you love at the wig shop?

Trinna's Ultra Beauty & Braids: Someone asked me do I do hand tied extension, I'm like uh no never heard of it. lol so I came to YouTube to see omg .. This method...I guess everyone has A different name.. We call this the Malaysian, braidless sew in, or link extensions. Well Darn. Been doing this for years literally I was clueless when asked about this. ‍♀‍♀

Aly Jay: For shorter hair could u put in a row at the nape of the neck for when the put it up?

Nikki Bak: What brand of hair do you use ?

Jamie Dionne: Hey GORGEOUS! Where do you buy your exstenstions?

Andrea Hawkins: thanks so much!!!!!!

GinaM: Where are you located I am interested in maybe coming to you my first time getting this done and they were falling out within 4 days

siha and haha: How long will this last?

All About Hair’s: Hello ma’am I love your work .. Can you share your address or website or contacts details so I contact you

gissel Alvarez: thank you so much for to video very good

Valeria Bellia: In germany they only sell machine wefts Not Hand tied i hate it !

MISS MELLO HAIR TV: NICE

sherpasmom: Great tutorial for fine hair. We have an issue with the weft slipping in the middle and only lasting maybe 3 weeks before needing a complete re-install, and have been using a stylist. Is there one method vs the other to potentially help with this? Her current application is like the one here. I'm wondering if the thread install helps it last longer? Also, can you recommend a thread available online for DIYers? Thanks for your time and tutorials! I'm trying to help someone with education and maintenance for her very fine hair and an oily scalp. :)

Fahren T: Why do they hurt so much after getting it done? I got mine a day ago and it hurts like hell

Kelly Sao: Do you do itips ?

Vivian Gonzalez: Her Head is Going to be so sore for the next week ! Sew ins Hurt!

Viviana Saavedra: The moist doesn’t stay in the bead and hair won’t rot if left too king ? How long they stay in for ?

Brooke Mather: Are you only using 1 piece of handtied hair?

Venus Mars: What size I s the best beet

All About Hair’s: I want to talk to you something ..? About hairdressing or jobs please ma’am contact me

Kelsey Williams: I have short hair, it’s at my collar bone, I have thinner hair shaft but lots of hair. I’m assuming I need 2 rows. How many grams of hair would I need? How many wefts per row? And where should the second row placement be?

Charley G: Ummmm, I've been doing lock stitches just like this for about 7 years! Sorry, not new here in Arizona.

HalfGaming: This client looks like she has very thin hair, I don’t recommend this method with people with thin hair. Tape ins and K-tip extensions are the only permanent ones that people with thin hair should do ..

mm ss ss mm: Oh hell no that looks topainfull
