How To Sew On A Track Hair Extensions - Beginners

How to sew in a track for braided sew-in extensions. If you don't know how to do the cornrow, watch my FRENCH BRAID CORN ROW HOW TO/TUTORIAL video. I made this track extra thick using thick easy to see thread so you guys can see what i'm doing. I do the track a little differently now, sewing from the outside to the middle. I'll make an updated video soon.

Okay, so today I'm going to teach you how to braid in a track to save time. Since my battery is running out, I parted the hair before and did a cornrow all the way across unless you can still see that tied at the end with the rubber band. That'S basically all you do. I would recommend doing your cornrow wet, because when your hair is wet, it's 50 % longer, meaning when it dries it's going to be 50 % tighter, if that makes sense so yeah. What you're going to need is rubber bands just little black ones. They have special kinds that don't break your hair. I'D recommend using those you're going to need extensions thread. You can get that at any extension store and a special. Where are you needle it's curved, so it doesn't poke the head and the way I thread the needle is take one end put it through and then it's doubled yeah. Okay. So then I just pull it all the way down until it's. The two sides are even like that. I hope you guys can see that and then I tie knots I'll show you after I tie it cuz, I don't know how that's showing up just definitely need a better camera. So I just tied a knot. Sometimes I double it if it needs to be tighter and then at the other end, my needle is threaded like that. Okay, so you're going to I'm going to do this blonde, looking extension just so it's easier for you guys to see the thread and basically I hope you can see this side. The braid kind of goes off the head and I'm just going to as I'm sewing the extension on I'm going to sew the braid back on like under, like that. So normally, when you're doing extensions for more volume, you want to take it and fold it like that and then I'll give more thickness to the hair since this kind of oughta work: okay, yeah! So I'm going to do that so first fold, the braid under I like to poke the side just to make sure it's really in there like see how it this is where all the hair is sewn in I poked through it right there and then, where it Folded, I'm going to poke through the other one too. That way, I don't accidentally lose it because I've done that before go right through and that way you're all ready and that's not going to go anywhere. So I start by folding this and going under and since the needle is curved, it's pretty easy. It just comes right back at you and just go up and kind of like try to get the extension over it. So you don't see the braid see how it's pretty much over and then just do the same thing again and as you're coming out this time, you can do this see how there's a little loop where I went in from the other time. I'M going to put the needle through that loop like that and then it'll kind of like make it not so it's really secure and then do the same thing over again and as I'm going down here, I'm sticking it through that little loose braid to make sure It'S really in there coming back through see the loop put the needle in through the loop and pull and I'll take the camera off and show you that the effect that that does it makes it really secure make sure you're getting the needle under both two tracks. The others, two of them you put them together, make sure you get both of them. Are else you're going to have a loose one and then I'm poking through the other braid to make sure it's in there. I don't know if you guys can see this see like that and then under the cornrow pulling it up, see the loop put the needle through the loop and if you were doing this to a real person, you might want to make I'm doing mine really far Apart because my battery is running out - and I need to do this fast, but if you were doing this to a real person, you might want to make them not so far apart, like put them really close together, see like that, I have my loop, so you Can see, there's the loop putting this part through you'll see it more as it comes around and just keep doing that you. Hopefully you can see this, make sure you do it really tight too. You don't want your bro walking off with loose braids. That'S the one good thing about doing the braids wet. I learned that from a girl at the weave store, she told me she's all girl, you do your braids wet and I said why and she said because it'll be tighter and I remember learning that in cosmetology school that didn't click to me and when she told Me that I was like - oh my god, you're so right - oh my god you're! So right! So hopefully you can see this, I'm just pulling it through under putting it through the loop. So now I'm doing them closer together. This is you'd want to gym really close. Like this, if you were doing it on a real person, because if you do them far away you're going to like see the big gaps between the hair, so take your time to them really close together. Hopefully my battery doesn't run out and since my battery is running out, I'm just going to go really far here and finish it off. Whoops mistake to put it through okay, and so when you get to the end you're going to have this little this little guy right there, I like to stab that through to make sure it's really flat. Otherwise, sometimes it pops out, you don't want that popping out! You should not disturb yourself within that a lot too, and these needles aren't even sharp. So that's sad and then I just like to bring it around a couple times more, just to make sure it's really on there, because you don't want the ends. Being you know all loose put it through? Hopefully, you can see this trying to go faster and then once you're at this stage pick one of the farthest little wine thing that you made with your loops, put it through the line again and this they're going to tie it off yeah I mean I put It through and now I have another loop put the needle through that loop and that's going to make a knot and that's just like the easiest knot you can make and you can do another one just to be sure it stays. But I'm just going to do another one, so you can see put it through one of the little lines and because I did that I have that loop right there put the needle through the loop pull and it makes it not and that great it's not going To go anywhere hopeful buckling anywhere and then just cut it off and make sure you don't have any like loose ends or anything mine looks kind of crappy. I did that so fast, but that's the basics. If you're going to do this on a real person, I usually do three of these one going from you know, like the temple all the way around to the other temple and then probably like two of these make sure. When you're doing this, you leave some of the hair on the side. I don't know if you can see that, because when the girl put their hair in a ponytail, you don't want to be able to see her track. So we've, like maybe a half inch or not even that just a little bit of hair on the side, so she can still put her hair to ponytail and yeah. That'S basically, it

Hair Extensions by Nikki: some people do it that way. most people do it the way i've shown above. i was taught by four african american women who are very successful in the extension field... and this is how they showed me. different techniques can be used, there is no rule for a right or wrong way currently.

MattedHairDoctors: Good video, when you get ready to take sew-in extensions out.   Right after cutting the hair extensions out,  soak your hair with the TAKE DOWN remover/detangle cream.  It makes your hair easier to comb through and detangle before you shampoo.  If you have any matting or tangles from build up at your roots, it softens all of it.  No pain,  hair loss and minimal shedding! Its almost unbelievable......you have to try it next time!.  And it does not matter if you leave a style in for 6 weeks or 6 months.  Your hair is saved, moisturized and healthy.

Jah Nee: U did a great job I lie doing hair and would never down someone doing a tutorial because our trying to better yourself while teaching others not sitting around criticizing like your perfect

Queenofweaves: Great video I really likedyour stich. :0)

Alereum17: Makes it longer lastin if you sew the braid tight first and sew the track with the thread through it not under either way great vid

LimeLilly: GREAT tutorial!!

Kyndal Pogue: This is SO helpful :D

poptartkid89: hey i have a few questiins i was hoping you could help me with, so does haveing those braids in your hair hurt your hair? like does the tightness make it fall out or anythuign like that or make it break easyer? also how long can you have these kind of extentions in before you need to take them out or do you have to take them out? thanks let me know

Britney Janae: i like the sewing techni...seems to be a time saver...

Prophetess Lady Of Wisdom: I know that I am a million yrs late but great tutorial. I thought that was a real person and she fell asleep. Lol

AwestruckYvonne: When you put the needle in the extension, are you poking it THROUGH the track or underneath it?

2004seo: Yes you can. When done properly you can wash it as often as you like and it should still be able to last up to 8 weeks. The key is good extensions... Buy the best quality and your good to go. Remi/Brazilian/Malaysian, no tangling! :)

Danyell Valencia: How do you know when you need to tightened your Extensions. I got mine a week ago and I feel like the bottom row is loose

Stacey Steele: I think this is a good video.....no it's not professional but this video is for people wanting to do it at home and not as their job......thanks for the video I'm going to try and weave my extensions in :) happy new year!

boomdiddyah: Whenever I wash my hair my extensions get loose...any tips?

Samantha: lmfao I did not notice that was a doll until you said "if you were doing this on a real person" LOL :x

katie marconi: so, i bought some really expensive extensions, and im getting them sewn in, but, ive got "scene" hair, and i dont want a lot of volume, i want it kind thin at the bottumn and volumnous at the top, ive got medium long hair, and i need to know how many i should put in, and how i can take care of them so they last as long as possible.

Shea: i luv ur tutorial cuz it's easy n fast. plus u actually went to cosmotolegy school so its reliable

SHEMALE HOTCHOCOLATE: very helpful, thank you...

TRVP QUEEN: OMG I did this method before

Marleny Ortega: Where can i get the thread and needle?

Fallon: Is it better to have extension sewn in, or to just use clip in ones? I'm an extension virgin, please help!

Xotik One: Beautiful job

Hair Extensions by Nikki: @MandyDezy When you take it out, you will see hair falling out, but it is not ripping out hair. That hair is hair that had already naturall fallen off your head and couldn't shed off on it's own because the braid was there. the average person loses 250 strands of hair a day.

Rebecca P: Thanks for the video!

Hair Extensions by Nikki: @Aneika1985 definitely do the braid as small as possible, i did it big for the video so everyone could see it better

Axtraa: Many people seam to maintain the hair afterwards with products and always forget the roots themselves! They are much harder to add. With Beeswax, you comb from the roots to the ends for even coverage. Apply Synthetic hair with clients own hair and braid into a thin cornrow effect. At the end apply heat if synthetic hair goes pass clients own. Use clear band if necessary which is less damaging. Add any remaining hair braided to the above row/track for neatness and comfort for the wearer.

Alex kolobok: u done a good job!

CiaraMuzik: @NMMinc can u a video showing how to put the extention in with the two braids on each side

Dani W.: i thought that was a real person omg i was so scared

allpurerandomstyle: for how long can you keep these??? - until it's not all messed up.

Robyn Nya: Um, I buy my hair extensions on eBay for about 30 dollars (24 inches.) You can buy clip in or just a plain weft.

Hair Extensions by Nikki: hahahaaa love it!

Big Pappi: so how do you take it out if there's a know that tight?

lovelyme key: helped me alot. thank you

Braundi619 HelloUniverse: nice sew on.. next time part down the middle. both sides IN TOWARD ONE ANOTHER. you will have 2 separate braids... once those 2 sections meet, sew them together leaving a tail in the middle or sewing the ends across. A for effort.

cherie ford: great help thanks

Honei B: @NMMinc after you braid it into one then what? I have not seeen a video that explains how that looks under the weft.

Christine Jolene: Question, can you redo the whole video & do the whole manican head? N I want to see the full thing lol

KrystalxAlicia: Can you wash your hair with the tracks in??

Duchess GummyBuns: i really wanna do this but im wondering how you prevent the hair under to not show do you corn row the bottom layer too?

Adriana Rocha: The hair can be brushed normally?, serves for frizzy hair?. I wait answer, thanks!.

Karrieeec: by securing the braid with a rubber band, wouldnt it fall apart very easily?

Th3-Lite: LOL love your black girl impersonation! To funny!

no name no name: I just suggest u dont double the weft as in "make it thick" . This could cause the weave not to lay flat & natural looking. Other then that u did fine. White, black, Latina wateva nice job ✌

Dj Yadirtydaughter: I just realized that was adoll she was doing that on XD

Jennifer Mitchell: @daddieslilgrrl7575 not if you keep your hair clean, you really have to be careful about drying your hair properly after you wash your hair. you must make sure that the briad its self if dry and not just the weave. also make sure you where a stocking cap when you sleep and a shower cap in your having your bath or shower so you hair doesn't mess up.

Vera Blocker: this helps......ALOT!!!!!!!!!

Michelle Hurtado: I have track and sews. No wet hair. My friend just used some hair wax.

Madison Lee: Wow thank you... its sad Im a black girl and had to find you to actually show me thank you so much.. I always tried to figure out how to end my damn track thanks!! will subscribe.

Brianna Catano: Rip all head phone users ‘:D

nekolee01: this video really helped. I was cluless untill i clicked this link. Thanks alot

charlize hughes: I thought that was a real person at first

Kiera Nichole: What I do Is Get A Person To Look at Your Braids And Find The String & What They Do Is Cut It Like Every Inch So Your Extensions Just Fall Out. When You Undo Your Braid All The String Comes Out Too .

Arthur Barber: Very amazing video, last week I purchased the same one from newigstyle..com

Lakyra Elliott: Are you guys serious? There are THOUSANDS of videos on braiding to the scalp.. the title of this video is "How to sew on hair track extensions" not braid..

Morena90: Damn 12 years ago

PoopTruffles: How is she going to untie all of that +_+

Caitlin Martin: holyyyy crappp. i thought that was a real person the wholeee time until 4:56 when she said "if you were doing this to a real person" haha omg i feel so dumb now

w m: but if you flat iron your hair wont that ruin the rubber band in your hair?

414bossy: LOL@her "black girl" voice "girl you can do your braid wet".. then had to do the "white girl voice" "omg your so right"

hollyD: oh my god i was so involved in what she was doing i didnt realise it wasnt a real girl how is that possible haha shamed!

Molly Noonan: is your hair damaged after you take them out?

Axtraa: Never do cornrows without synthetic hair to protect clients own hair Use a beeswax to protect the hair from the start. It acts as a barrier from the threads being sewn onto the hair cuticles and threads will be on most of the synthetic and when out, hair in excellent condition and not dry. Also that easier to comb out natural hair which has been in for several weeks as it would normall drop out.

Dezy Fukluvjones: @NMMinc tHANK YOU AND THAT IS A GREAT FACT
