Diy Weave, How I Braid, Sew And Style My Hair Extensions.

Today I wanted to show you something a little different. I've been wearing box braids for a while and I thought it was time to switch it up.

Did my own sew in, hair extensions, weave or whatever you like to call it :)

Used 3 bundles of hair, each from a different hair company- 26 inch hair

Herimports (body wave)

Yummy extensions (curly wave)

Lotus extensions (body wave) from Tease Hair Salon located in MD

My hair is natural 4a 4b texture

*I would never use this braid pattern on a client!* (professional hair stylist)

Okay, so today i'm going to show you how i put in my hair extensions - i am a stylist, but i'm just doing this because this is the way i put my extensions in. So please don't come in here talking about! Oh, why you ain't! This is for me, i'm braiding, my own hair. I'M sewing it, i'm styling it all by myself, okay! So what i did you see my hair here? Yes, i have some ends that need to go, but i'm growing it out. I had a very short haircut, like i mean like that short. So, finally, i'm getting some growth and today i'll be putting in 26 inches. Oh i'm gon na be swanging, hey, okay, so i am sectioning my hair to blow dry it. I did a conditioner wash on my hair because i had just straightened it yesterday and on the day before, so this is me getting it in four sections. I put leave-in conditioner on it as well, so you just see me sectioning it here when i blow dry. I blow dry from the ends. First then work my way up from the ends to the root. Now all right blow dry is done. This hair is looking kind of crispy. Oh, i need to do something about that, but hey that's why i'm weaving it up so now, i'm just adding some kanekalon hair to my edges and i'm sectioning that out and i'm starting my braid also, i put moisturizer on it on all of my braids and Here we go work my way down, making my way downtown, walking fast faces, passing i'm home, i'm doing the same. On the other side, i added kanekalon hair to my edges and i'm braiding it down, and i usually do three single braids on the side now here is where it gets ugly. Damn these braces big, remember what i said, though this is the way i do. My weave, because it is a quick weave for me - do not be commenting telling me how ugly my braids are and also i would never ever ever braid a client's hair like this ever never. Okay. Now i am attaching the braids i'm combining them in the middle and i'm using thread for that. I use cotton thread. I like that better than nylon thread and because my braids are big and ugly. I need a net, so i add a net to the back and to the sides. I didn't have enough net, so i had to cut another piece and add it on, but this just protects my sides because i'm going to be sewing my tracks going up on that net there and just cutting the excess. Now, i'm about to sew - and first i like to just kind of map out my tracks in the back, i'm going to double them, so i always double my first track in the back just to give more of a weight line, and yes, i cut my tracks. I do not like the fold over method. I believe that fold over method kind of pulls on the hair adds too much tension. Also, i feel like i should be able to cut my wefts. If a company tells me oh, don't cut your wefts and you have to you know pre-seal them, i'm not doing all that your hair should be quality enough, where i don't have to do that, and here i am now sewing through the weft and i'm going underneath. Also that braid there that really ugly braid, so i'm going through that through the net and underneath so that way i can have the thread kind of cradle that whole area back there. I don't know if that makes sense, but it's going all the way through all the way underneath and around, and once i get to the end, i make sure to secure it by just doing a double knot and i cut the ends, and here we are combing. It out here i am sewing the track going up, attaching it to the net. I just kind of make sure i don't snag my hair there, but i'm pulling it very, very gently because i don't want to pull the other side as well. So here i'm going through the net and through the braid and just kind of angling it up. So that way the hair can fall towards the front all right. So here it is in the back laying pretty flat. I don't really have any gaps in here. As i said, these braids are big, but that's my business like tabitha brown said, and that's your business continuing going up again each track on the side angling it up, attaching it to the net and a little bit to the braid, cutting off the excess and attaching It down - and here i'm attaching just some clips so that way the hair won't. You know, get in my way and now i'm going to add my tracks kind of going up. Oh this is yummy hair. Now i meant to forgot to mention that, but i've mixed her imports and from a local company called lotus hair extensions. They have a salon in silver, spring teas, hair salon. I get my hair from them and this is yummy. I believe they're wavy, curly i'll, have to get the correct name, but i'm adding that now and now i'm not going at an angle anymore, i'm just bringing it. You know straight around u-shape, i'm getting kind of tangled up there, but i doubled that track in the back just to make sure um. You know that it has some fullness there, because one of the seven deadliest sins of weave is having your tracks showing. Never have your track showing you got to track check. Okay, baby, my roots are puffy, but it's laying flat now, i'm gon na comb it out and blow dry just comb that out comb that okay with a little piece there. Okay, comb that brush that get them little tangles, get that shed hair out of there. Okay, all right, let me stand up, show you something! Oh yes, mama! Oh yeah! I like that. Oh i like that flat ironed. Now i'm gon na blend it on down because you got to blend, but it was late and i was tired, so i was speeding through this, but here we are. Ladies and gentlemen, oh yes, maybe party, like the red sea honey. Now remember i told you i was tired, so my back part is not as blended, but i will blend later, okay, but we track checking track check, check, check, check, check, check, check, okay, okay, i'm in the bathroom swinging that thing swing that that oh yeah. Yes, yes, get it get it. Oh mirror check i'm liking this, i'm feeling my little quick weave, dookie braids breathe with the dukey braids with the flatness. I like, okay, yes, thank you for watching.
