Today, I'm getting hair extensions for the first time. Before we get to the transformation, make sure to hit subscribe. Below. I'm getting hair extensions from Chris Appleton who does Kim Kardashian's, hair and Ariana Grande's, hair and J Lo's hair .... He does everyone's hair And then he's doing mine.. So I have had a love-hate relationship with my hair. Growing up. It was kind of like big and flow-y and super blonde, and I really identified with having sort of this like wild lion's mane of hair., And my hair just naturally has gotten really thin over the years.. It doesn't match what I think of myself, as. I'm going out with my friends tonight, so that I can show my hair off. I am so excited Yeah. I'Ve been dying for this., Hey guys, My name's Chris Appleton and I'm a celebrity hair stylist.. Now I'm so excited to be joined today by Sloan, because we're going to be showing you a celebrity-inspired look using hair extensions., You ready Very ready., So the first step is just to blow out your hair.. I did it really quick. I stretched out Sloan's hair just to take any kinks out. Ready for the extensions to go in. Put in a smaller-sized extension in at the root.. Now you always want to make sure that there's hair either side to cover the tracks.. Look where the clips are and then tease those two sections., Especially if the hair is slippy or freshly-washed. I use the Color Wow Cult, Favorite hairspray, just to give it a little bit of grip.. Then what you're going to do is work in sections building weight in about inch to 2-inch sections. Depending on how much hair you have. I've, never gotten hair extensions before I've. Never had long hair.. I want my hair to look a certain way, and I just naturally I'm not going to. I can't achieve that look.. I can't get it to grow that long.. I can't get it to be thick – that's just not a thing. You can get your hair to do if your hair is thin.. I'Ve been wanting hair extensions for so long, but I know that they can look kind of like weird Britney Spears, 2007 ..., I'm so excited to have Chris Appleton. Do it because he is like IT.. So the previous extension was slightly more highlighted and this one is more rooted, so we're going to blend the roots in here at the top and then go for a bit of a pop of color towards the end. How's. It feeling I feel like Rapunzel. Ooooh. That'S a good feeling, Just a slight diagonal section: ..., The hair will fall around the face nicely., If you put it straight, it just kind of falls away from the face. And then, as the hair lays on top .... At this point, you get a super nice blend.. That'S amazing Right This – it truly looks like it's. My own hair. Transforms it. Doesn'T it The important part of like cutting hair when you have extensions in is to keep the ends super soft., I think, having hair extensions will just give me more confidence.. It will make me feel kind of more excited, and you know I wan na wear it like a lion's mane and be all like ,'' Yeee. Look at me !''. This is an amazing texturizing spray just to help give us some really nice hold. Whilst we style the hair., It's amazing like what a difference adding the hair can you know make to the way you feel. Yeah? I think that is what it was.. I had all of this Big Hair Confidence .... It'S like Big, Dick Energy right, Big Hair Confidence And it didn't – it wasn't the same. I'd, see, pictures and I'd, see myself in the mirror ..., So you're like a big-haired girl at heart inside, but the reality of it is your hair was like not looking Like that., No, it wasn't.. Well, now all your dreams have come true.. I know It looks amazing. It really feels like hair .... I know. This is just like – this is baby's first extensions, so I'm going to have a moment. You're like ``. It feels like hair.'', I'm like ``. It is real hair.''''. It looks like hair `` yeah.. All of the things that everyone who's like usually has extensions is like ``, Calm down, !''. No, It's nice! I'M glad that you love it so much.! Oh my god.! It looks so good. Beautiful, right Ugh. I feel like a princess So now that I have my hair extensions. I love them so much.. I think they look so good.. They make me feel confident.. I love the weight of them.. I love the feel of them.. I think they look very natural and chic., Even though my hair is fake. Eternal Flame: Those clip ins combined with the weight of the extensions will eventually cause her already thinning hair to become more damaged. I know what I'm talking about as I did exactly this to my hair for eight years and it ended up damaged almost beyond repair. I stopped before it went too far and fortunately the damage was reversible, I now have a full head of very thick thick natural hair that is just past shoulder length. Don't fall for this ladies embrace the hair you have and avoid hair breakage, alopecia and god knows what else. It ain't worth it.
Raye Webber: as a licenced stylist her hair has NOT naturally thinned out, if that happens it generally happens from the root, her hair is DAMAGED, both heat and chemically that's why the roots are thick and voluminous and the ends are straggly and dry. She needs to commit to only using heat once a week, deep conditioning treatments 2 times a week and pairing that with a protein treatment at her salon every 2 weeks, doing all of these things will greatly improve her hair condition and allow it to regrow. Over doing it on the protein treatments will cause more breakage over time, olaplex or monat shampoo would be a great at home system for her to use as well as the olaplex take home treatment 2 times a week. And to stop lightening her lengths, she can lighten her regrowth but I wouldn't use tone or lightener on her mid lengths or ends because of the damage.
