Everyone Kayleigh your friendly neighborhood hair stylist here, and what's this oh, my goodness, my hair is long. How we're gon na talk about it. Now you guys know. I recently cut my hair much shorter and I have occasionally been playing around with long hair again in my videos and obviously there were a lot of questions about it. So I want to answer your questions about how I apply my clip in hair extensions with short hair and show you a couple little hairstyles that you can wear with it, because you know if you're picking out some hair extensions, I'm assuming you also want to wear Them for some cute little occasions - and I got you if you follow me for a while. You also know that I don't really endorse a whole lot of different hair extension companies, I'm very picky about it, and I found a new one that has my heart. It'S called beyond hair, it's a new hair extension company and they are sponsoring this video because I love them. I was really excited to finally find somebody that I really believed in and wanted to work with, and I'm excited to show you guys why I think they're that great. So that being said, let's talk about some clip in hair extensions, okie dokie. So, let's talk about the extensions that I'm going to use today. These are from a new brand called beyond hair. This is how they come get them in a wonderfully sturdy box that you can use for storing them when you're not wearing them. You have this little dude down here with a tester to make sure that you, like the color and the links before you fully commit, and then you have the rest of them up here. So beyond. Hair actually has three links that you can choose from and three grades of hair, which is very cool, so the ones that I have today are the select and they are in the 16 inch links, and this is them I have washed them. I have warned them. I have styled them and they look so beautiful at up before I put them in. Let me just compare these two hair extensions. This is a brand that I've used and loved in the past. It'S not bad quality, but if you compare the quality of the two it's night and day like you've got so much more shine here. The texture is so much more true to normal hair and they also do multi tonal shades. So everything has kind of like a natural highlight low-light, going on versus kind of a more flat kind of fake-looking extension. They also have a lot of unique things built into the way they do their hair extensions that I think set them apart from everyone else, and I will show you that, as I put them on so put these in I'm gon na use the instructions that come On the card, with a little bit of a caveat, because I have a bob because the ends of my hair are kind of heavy, when I add in extensions you're still gon na have that weight unless you take some weight out so the way I'm gon na Do that is by sectioning my hair, leaving just the nape of my neck and a little bit of hair over my ears down I'm gon na braid that down to my head just doing a Dutch braid from the ear to the center on each side and then Pinning those braids against my head now, if the braiding sounds too hard, you can put your hair in a ponytail and then just pin that hair against your head. You can make a little tiny bum, whatever you want to do. Basically, you just have to get that hair out of the way. Let me just let the top down, so I can show you the difference that makes this is now a lot lighter, there's not as much heaviness, which means it's gon na be a lot easier to blend hypothetically. If you have a thinner, finer hair, you could skip pinning up the hair if you need to, and just as a reminder if your hair is longer and layered and all that kind of stuff, you don't have to worry about pinning the nape of your hair up. This is literally just like a short hair trick. That is very helpful. Now that I've showed you, let's put the hair back up and put in some extensions, so the first thing we're doing is putting in the two six-inch West at the nape of my neck. One of the cool things I would like to point out about beyond is that they have a patent pending system with their clip ins. One of the parts of the patent is the clips. They have different sizes for each part of your head, so it utilizes your hair. It takes into account how fragile the hair might be in a certain area, but also fits SuperDuper comfortably. So these clips are a little bit larger, which allow for a really secure hold at the nape of your neck and with that stuff, we've basically transformed the nape section of the hair. So it's gone from being you know, kind of this choppy short thing to being a nice long base for the rest of our hair, so we're gon na let this down and then you're gon na part. It one inch up from the last left that we did gon na add in another one when you're putting in hair extensions. It is a good idea to tease the base of the hair to give the extension something to hold on to, especially if you have silkier or finer hair. I didn't do that with the first two, because the hair was braided into place, but now we're gon na start teasing a little bit and now we're going in with the eight inch width. This one is the longest one, and this area on your head is also kind of the longest to take off. It'S all really formulated around the shape of your head and it's really helpful to follow the card because it's already figured it out. First yeah another cool part of the patent-pending process they have going on. Are these super flat bands? I super love them because they lay really really flat, even if they're not seamless, they are much flatter than your classic traditional extensions, which means that I can utilize them a lot farther up on my head and they're very undetectable, and these are super comfortable. I don't know if it's the shape of the clips or the band or whatever, but they're so comfortable to wear it's insane, and now we just have one more left in the back. So I'm going to section my hair one inch up again, tease and apply that final weft. So those are the back whiffed supplied and you can tell in the front I'm still missing a little bit here. We'Ve got three wefts on each side to apply in the front and then we're done so. You know how I said the clips are different for each part of your head. These are the ones for up near your hairline. There are a lot smaller and gentle ER, because this hair is a little smaller gentler. The final thing that I just all love about these is that they are naturally layered, so the ends are already tapered for you, so that's gon na look more natural, but they've. Also encountered for where these wefts are going to sit on your head and layered them accordingly, so you shouldn't need to take them into your hair stylist to get them layered. I mean that was a selling point for me. I put in the 20 inch ones when my hair was still long and I was like who is she? These are perfect. Normally I have to like trim and cut, and it's like my favorite thing about these and now for the front. We have a one clip, a three clip and a one clip on each side. First one goes over the braid to replace the hair that we hid and you can see that my root color is different from the extension color. You could either go into your hair. Stylist and have them root for you or you could use a gray cover powder or spray to just make this blend with the rest of your hair, and that's a really easy temporary thing you can do, which I recommend the most because a it's cheap and easy. But also you can wash it out and change how far up or down the route is based on your own route situation, so I very much enjoy doing that when I am fully going for it, I mean I haven't even styled it yet. Are you kidding me? It'S good right, and that is my application process on short hair. I haven't even touched this yet and I feel like it already looks, really great and really blended. I'M just really excited about it. But if you are going to wear these out - and you are going from short to long like - I am putting some styling into it - with either a straightener or a curling iron, even your blow-dryer or whatever is gon na be really key, because you want everything to Meld together seamlessly, so you know if I was going straight, I might just you know, use a straightener and make sure everything was nice and groomed, and I mean I'd be good to go casual, long, hair, Saturday, Friday, Tuesday, whatever but y'all. It'S me, you know I'm gon na curl it right i'ma curl it so I'm gon na go in sections like I normally would with my hair and curl it all together, just doing like a really basic curling away from my face with a one-inch curling iron. Like I usually do and that's how I transition my hair from short to long, I feel like it's actually quite easy once you get the hang of it and I think the blend is SuperDuper good. So I really like it if you are looking to do something similar. I do recommend beyond just first of all the hair and the quality is super good, but I like all the things that make it unique that our patent-pending about it. It really does set of apart from everything else. I'Ve tried so really good, but now that you have some full-on mermaid hair, let's talk about some hairstyles that you can wear with it for this year, sale we're basically just making three braids first you're, going to take a large section on one side of your head And rate it all the way down and secure it with an elastic, and then, if you want some more volume, you can pull the braid apart. I mean: is that not already just so happy phrasing waves? It'S just me all day, long raising things and now you're gon na repeat the same thing. On the other side, now you're gon na pull the two braids to the back and you're going to feed one through the other, so they kind of connect in the back. Without having to use any elastics or anything like that, but if you want you can bobby pin that in place, if you're afraid that it's gon na like slip and fall out, which you know it's understandable and now you're just gon na pick up one more piece Of hair next to those two braids and braid the two braids, and that new piece of hair together in a new three strand, braid and then secure it at the end and pull it apart. If you want, additionally, if you can get to them, you can pull out the old elastics from the first two braids and then to make everything. Look more polished, I'm going to use a little hair beater or you could use a Topsy tail to wrap some hair around the elastic, and once that's done, this hairstyle is complete. So I mean it's always fun: to have a braided hair sale that you can throw in. But this one is particularly great for special occasions and for helping to blend any shorter layers when you're getting used to putting hair extensions onto shorter hair. So we have a mermaid option. You have a braided option: let's just do a cute, easy classic option: you're going to use your fingers to rake back the hair from your temples up, pull that into an elastic, and you can leave the hair around your face down or pull it back depending on What you like, then, you're, gon na use your thumb and forefinger to loosen up the hair over the elastic to give a little bit more dimension and volume. Now, with the ponytail that we have going on you're going to twist, it loosely and then grab a Phoenix, tiny piece at the end and scrunch the rest of the hair up, which is going to create this really big voluminous twist you're gon na wrap that into The shape of a bun and pin it to death just to make sure it stays and once you've done that this hairstyle is done and there you go. There is another very easy, very classic option that you can do with some hair extensions: okay, wow. That was a lot about extensions. That'S how I blend them with my short hair, so I can pretend, like I still have long hair win. I want to I'm also really glad I got to introduce you to be on hair extensions. You can shop them right now with the link in my description box. If you want to, I do really love them. That'S why I went so hard talking about them today, because they really aren't that good. Also, this hair is nicer than my own hair. So it's kind of nice to have long hair again and have it be like healthier than the long hair I used tap. But you know, just in general, extensions are fun to play with it's fun to play with, like a new length, a little bit more volume. A new style, so I hope that this helped you and your endeavors, but I hope they give you some ideas of how you can utilize them and your own hair. Sophia: Those extensions are so good! it looks just like your old hair I'm shook SHOOK I SAY

Brittan Candela: Those extensions look so natural! If you had cut your hair without telling us, then wore the extensions, I don't think anyone would have noticed lol

Chris H: These are great tips! I only wish I knew the “braiding the nape” technique two years ago. I went in for a pre-wedding trim and the stylist not only chopped off six inches of hair, but she also gave me a much less layered cut on my already super thick hair. So I wore extensions for my wedding, but to this day in some wedding photos I can see where my real hair ended. Such a smart idea to be get some of the real hair out of the way!

Mehar Iqbal: I really appreciate this video Kayley! Your tips and tricks videos are always so detailed and well thought out ❤

Melanie Holden Chase: I'd love to have you do a video on the ethics of hair extensions. This brand talks a lot about honesty on their website, but they don't disclose how they source the hair, and how people are compensated for it.

Diane: Omg good tip!!!!! I've never heard of using the gray root touch up spray for helping to match light extensions to roots!!!! I have dyed pink hair but also about 4 inches of regrowth that I wont be bleaching for another year or 2. Thank you

Tamara Morton: I'm excited. I've just finished ordering a swatch for the hair extensions. Yay! The swatches are normally $10 but there was no charge this time, for some reason. I've had a rough couple of years and have lost all A LOT of hair in the process so this is a little boost that I need. I'm getting ready to do a job search, meeting new people so thank you for sharing this company, Kayley. I'll let you know how it goes.

Mehrene Sachedina: It looks like your natural hair, you can’t even tell it’s extensions!

Hannah Jacobs: lol these are so good..you cant tell that the extensions are adding that much length it just looks like you used to them to add a little extra volume and oomph to the hair but you really cant tell you went from short to long hair...love it..im gonna check them out

MissAshleySpade: It would be really nice if you could do a video about different brands of hair extensions. Pros and cons of each set, price points, styling and wearing them out for a day to see how they last through. And tips on how to make them last through styling, washing, drying, etc. I really like these extensions but I don't know enough about taking care of them nor will I actually be wearing them enough to want to jump to their price point. I just simply wouldn't be wearing them anymore than once or twice a month; at most. But for anyone reading this comment debating on getting them, I DID get their swatch kit and the hair is great. There's multiple different tones in the hair so it looks super real. I'd say it's well worth the price for what you're getting, I just won't be using them enough to want to spend that much money.

Shuktika Srivastava: Can you do more dark hair tutorials. Please❤️

Kendra Cooke: I needed this video! I have been growing out an a-line and hate my hair. I bought extensions a while ago but I couldn't blend them the way I wanted to.

Grace Evans: Love your stuff Kayley Could you maybe do a video on Karen Gillan’s waves in Jumanji?

ElanaWolf830: Love these tips! I'm going to have to keep these in mind for when I get my hair cut in the next few weeks. Do you have any short hairstyles for people who have bangs? I'm going to be getting bangs again and love your hairstyles.

Ell_Brando: I've looked all over and I cannot find anything on doing split hairstyles (two braids / fun buns /etc) and still hide the wefts. Could you experiment and do a video?

Joy Ami: I gone crazy but how about a video where you undone your hair after intricate styles like braids on braids or just a process where you smooth your hair down after wearing it up for the whole day

e11eohe11e: I'm definitely about to buy some of these! I already ordered a swatch kit! I cut my hair off about 14 months ago into a pixie because my hair was damaged from boxed dye, and I was also trying to grow out bangs and an undercut. It's about to my collar bone today. I've been thinking about extensions for a while - considering getting the microbead extensions from a salon. I used to be subbed to you a long time ago and I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel again! Can't wait to get some of these! I love that they are pre-layered and have dimensional color!

Caitlin Downs: I love beyond extensions!! I have a type of red hair that almost appears orange so it’s hard to find extensions. However Beyond had the perfect shade!

EvieOhNooo!: My hair has been extremely short for about six years now, and is now the longest it's been in that time. I just bought a new set of Luxy hair extensions and I can't wait to try the braided style in this video! Thanks for all the hair inspiration and genuinely bringing a smile to my face! <3

Alexis Irazoque: WOW I’M AMAZED! You are so talented girl

D Fg: Just ordered a swatch kit, I have medium ish length FINE/THIN hair. Growing it out is difficult and it always looks stringy so hopefully extensions will work for me :)

toffeetama: Hi Kayley! Love the video.I honestly thought that it wouldn't look as blended straight versus curled, but it looked amazing straight as well! These extensions looks so good. I would love to see a hair video on ways you can use the topsy tail tool!

Martie Boyer: I’ve never seen a video i needed more. Just cut my hair the same length you have now and i had trouble blending extensions in it and my extensions are at the end or their lifespan and i was shopping for a new pack! Loved the video so much.

Sarah Bowerman: I'd love to see some videos on you trying new brands and types of extensions!

Kat Jones: Omg hi kayley!!!!! You used to be my hair dresser when you lived in N.C. I love you so much!!!!!! And I miss you more than ever!!!!

Anna Luisa Aguilar: I have the same haircut and I've been searching for extensions but there's always the fear that they will look very fake, this video really helped with that.

dunfordorama: How do you hide the upper wefts/clips so well with hair pulled back, and only an inch between wefts? Mine "buckle" a little and create bumps that my natural hair doesnt cover as well.

Kaitlynn Green: I would love to see a video using extensions for an updo/bridal/prom tutorial!

Shenayerx96: This was the most helpful video on hair extensions I’ve seen so far! THANK YOU!

Avery Brianne: I just ordered the swatch kit! Can’t wait to buy these!!

Juliette Kuijs: My hair is about the same length as yours and recently purchased 20 inch long hair extensions without layers in them. Also my lob has a blunt cut. Would you recommend to get them layered and cut shorter?

Justyna Kurbiel: YES!!! lovely :) Thank you for this!

valarya: I've always wondered how comfortable all of that is? Seems itchy and heavy.. but it looks amazing!!!!

MissAshleySpade: With winter coming and be really nice to see some heatless/overnight curls :)

Princess Ari: Omg the first hairstyle with the braids is genius!

Amelia Zidek: I love you Kayley always and forever ♾!❤️ and these hairstyles!

Gabby: i just ordered these extensions i’m so excited !!!!

Veronica Gammage: So I have Lucy brand extensions, would you say they are a good brand in terms of quality and how long they will last? My hair is also shorter in the back and longer in the front. So I make two small braids and pin them back? I would say it’s at that length where it’s not flipping outward as much but still does it a little from how it bends at the neck.

Skyler Lennen: Hey Kayley! I have a question. I have hair extensions and they look great in my hair and blend wonderfully, but the issue I have with them is that there isn't as much hair on the back of my head as there is on the sides, and I struggle to be able to cover all of the extensions. How can I remedy this! Thank you!

Tina: Beautiful! I wished we would have the shop here or that they would ship to Germany....

Kamaya Wixom: This was soo so so helpful! It looks very natural too!

Natalie Ramirez: I really love your necklaces! Where did you get them?

Demi: Too bad they only ship to the US and Canada.. wouldve loved to try them they look absolutely stunning

Elizabeth Yates: I CANNOT believe how good those extensions are!!! do they have them in dark cuz I have a friend that would absolutely love these!

mariah baker: this is perfect for halloween season!!

Priya Udehan: Hi Kayley, I have a question regarding extensions. I have around the same hair length as you if not half an inch longer and thick hair. Whenever I try putting in extensions I just can’t seem to make them blend in properly. I think the problem might be that I have a lot of hair....like seriously A LOT. Do you maybe have any Tipps as to how I can make my extensions blend in better? I have tried the pinning up thing but even then it doesn’t seem to work.

Duda Wanderer: I love your long hair so much!

Liz Clavell: Hey Kayley! Do you think you could try the dyson airwrap but with your short hair?? I’m super curious to see if the length change would make a difference!! Love you Hair Queen

Sam Lee: This was super helpful! Thank you!

Ashley Singleton: I was going to get these for a wedding. Do I need to wash them before styling?

Olivia Boomer: Hey Kayley! So I am honestly really struggling with having a receding hairline (I’m only 16!) I also have lighter hair which makes it look even worse than it is. I know you have a video on hiding a receding hairline, but is there any way to make it grow? please please let me know!

Julia Maria: You look amazing!

Fashionista Hairstyles: These extensions looks so natural to your hair , that they hide them like ninja

LEO.Ash93: Amazing!!

Annie Morgan: So I'm looking at getting coloured extensions to add some color to my ever day hair but u can't find anything that really speaks to me. Any ideas?

Every Haircolor: love the styles here!

Raquel Caicedo: So so pretty. Wish i had the money to buy them though

Nancy PL: Me encantan tus videos❤❤

Sarah Bowerman: I needed this!!!

Ginitta Germani: Gorgeous

Akira-Miyashi: Could you show us/explain how those tie-in/rubber band extensions are inserted at the saloon?

KayJhoselin: I love your hair so much

Sunny_Lady :*: I would love to see what you think of Luxy Hair Extensions

Lindsay Lachance: Do you have a link for us to buy those?:)

Lea Seberg Fladstad: How long can tape extensions be on hair, can it be used again several times on the hair, will it hold on the hair without falling off, does it feels like our own hair when we wear it and can it make hair worn?

Yentl Tellings: Can you make hair styling videos for really really really thicc (Asian) hair? Cuz honestly, styling thicc hair is a pain. :(

Sara Jane Pohlman: You look like a CEO in this video. Amazing

T M H: The root spray idea is genius!

laura cazares: Great tutorial and ur fun to watch thank u !

crowlovescore: they don't have international shipping :(

isabella goh: honestly i think Kayley looks better in long hair than short hair.. it looks better

Alana Marie: Even with your extensions I realized my hair is still longer than yours I love the bun!!! Thanks for the tutorial.

Kate Park: I just started to use hair extensions. And I was wondering if you have any tips on how to use them in a high ponytail and how you would incorporate your other ponytail tricks with extensions? Or do you already have a video on this? Thanks so much, Kayley!

Lea Seberg Fladstad: Has anyone else started wearing extensions also just because you have also had problems having short and thin hair for a long time and not been able to get long and thick hair again which you don't have patience or not even have time to wait as me?

M Vanz: I love your vids + your hair is beautiful ❤️

Niamh Cawley: After watching this I really wanted to get some... The cheapest option is €250...

G. Sanchez: Where is that top from?! It’s so pretty!

melissa vas.: You look so pretty!

Sophia Maldonado: Is there a coupon code for the extensions?

Laptrafyga: Whyyy don't they have international shipping :(

Kennedy Figueroa: What color are your extensions?

Tanya McNicol: So sad they don’t have a grey/silver option.

Medeia: Ahah.... I love the extensions, but they’re a good $500+ on their website :/ anyone got a cheaper alternative???

M Poppins: One piece clip in wefts seem to be the latest trend I used to wear full head ones but they take too long.

Joivette Arias: Wow amazing

R C: so beautiful!!

Melissa Sosnowski: Ooooh they have TWO red options!

smelly cat: Your REAL!!! hair have gotten so long so fast

Rachel Silvers: So...I have an unexpected problem, and I’m not sure if you’d be able to help but idk no point in not trying. I bought these really nice hair extensions...and they’re so nice that they are nicer than my natural hair lol. So I cannot at all blend them. It’s like my stiff shitty hair and then this nice soft extension hair that is very obviously not mine...idk. I’ve tried blending with curls but the temperature that I’m supposed to use for the extensions isn’t nearly hot enough to even get a little bit of a curl in my straightened hair. And trying to blend it with my natural hair texture? Forget about it.

Amanda Cannuli: Kayley is there a hair extension company that is similar quality but ships to Australia please!!??

Abbigail Hollis: Omg how much are those!!

Angie Valencia: Damn the hair extensions are so expensive

roofprod: Я парень и мне нравится на это смотреть)

ella elise: What color are tese extensions?

Aisha Hoque: How many people wish Kayley was their personal hair stylist?

Coco&bug Forever: I use Luxy hair extensions

Debs Z: Hi queen, I mean Kayley. I love your channel and it hurts me seeing the views so low. Maybe if you keep a schedule to post, at the same hour everytime it helps. I hope. Much love

Yannel Soberanis: At first I thought you were Bridget mendler
