Monae Everett for Monae Artistry

http://ow.ly/9Yaqr

Hello youtubers thanks so much for coming back to check out another one of my videos. It seems to me that now you all want to know how to sew in hair extensions, so this video is going to do just that. Teach you how to sew in hair extensions, Monae Everett for hair and makeup blog.com monet, artistry calm as well as bride's made up calm. If you like, what you see hit like if you like, the channel hit subscribe thanks so much for tuning in so this is today's model. Her natural hair is about shoulder length to begin the hair extension process. We have to decide what hair we want to blend in with the hair extensions since she's going to have a center part. I'Ve sectioned out a you section at the top of her hair. Next up the cornrows, the corals give us a stable place to so end. The hair extensions notice that I have longer braids coming away from the scalp those will be sewn down notice that I have a small section left out. These will be very small, petite cornrows. That will allow me to blend her natural hair in with the hair extensions and make it look really natural natural and way less noticeable. At this point I'm going to put on a weaving cap, this allows for more tension to be placed on the cap. I sewed it around her hair line from corner to corner. Oh notice. I can pull it away so at this point, I'm going to cut off the extra cap that I don't need, I'm going around her entire hairline and I am even going to go into the you where the braids are. This way, I will be able to expose the hair that we want to blend in, with the rest of the extensions see how I'm just pulling the rest of it apart making sure to avoid her hair, because we don't want to cut any hair at this point. I'M going to start sewing in the hair extensions. When I sew in the hair extensions. I am starting at her hairline going from air to air. Next, I'm going to go straight across and horizontal lines now, I'm above the air, and I am starting about an inch and a half above her err on the hairline. I am taking special care to make sure to sew down her edges and I am sewing each piece in place by looping the hair through at least three to four times. Then I'm going to pull down that weft and bring it over the air to the bottom. Cornrow notice how it's sewn in at this point, I'm continuing to do my horizontal sewn and pattern. Now I am all the way up to the corner of her hairline to where we will be leaving out the hair that will blend with the rest of the extensions notice how natural the hair coloring is of the extension, and I also want you to take a Look at the u-shape that I have going on and notice how I'm bringing all of the hair up to the corner of the u-shape of her hair line. I'M showing you how I can lift the hair that will allow me to get volume at this point. I am sewing on the web onto the tiniest braid at the very top nearest her hair that will be left out. Smaller sections make it look more natural toward the top of the head and I'm double and triple knotting right at the corner of her scalp and the weft, I'm also making sure so the extension upward that way I get a little bit more volume volume - is very Important for the most clients, when done right, you can get a great amount of volume without it looking poofy. This is how the hair extensions look once they're completely sewn in, and we haven't done any styling or blending of her natural hair and the extensions. At this point, I have I'm just showing you how natural the hair looks her natural hair with the hair extensions we've chosen to braid up her edges, because we'd like to promote hair growth rather than leaving them out - and here is your final finished result. Look how natural this looks when she turns around. We decided to play with a little bit of color, so I colored the hair extensions, and this way it looks more natural because no one has hair. That'S completely 100 %, one color look at those layers thanks! So much for checking out this video

Monae Artistry's Hair and Makeup Blog: Great question. This will work with all hair types. I recommend using synthetic hair in your cornrows to hold them in place. I also have fine hair so most of the time these styles don't last as long. Have you checked out my video on how to get healthy, shiny hair at home? I think you will really like it. Let me know.

Frankedra Mathis: I would love to see you do a video on How to Choose Extension Weave. I'm not really sure what kind is right for me. For example, Some ppl say to use cheap hair if you're a beginner, or Virgin Hair if you want it to last long and blend better. I'd really love to hear your recommendations and buying/decision process for getting the right extension choice for your client.

Monae Artistry's Hair and Makeup Blog: @Toyaruth Awe thanks so much! I'm so happy you liked the video. Look out for many new videos coming soon.

Monae Artistry's Hair and Makeup Blog: Thank you so much for the great comments. Have you have a chance to check out my newer videos on Ombre hair color (hair extensions used), the TopStyler, and how to use the curling tong? All of these videos will help to make your hair to look SuperFancy!

Monae Artistry's Hair and Makeup Blog: @charleneluvable Thanks so much for your kindness. Speech impediments can be discouraging if you let them. As for the price of hair extensions. Each professional has their own pricing and generally you get what you pay for. Make sure to check out my other videos on makeup, hair color and hair styling. I'd love to hear your opinion. Thanks again for your comment.

Macie W: when you do a full sew in weave, would you need to buy two packages of hair or just one? please respond

Zealous Women Inc.: Beautiful!

April Ross: HI! Does this technique only work with natural hair? I have really thin straight hair, will the corn-rolls stay? and if this does work, will my hair grow while I have the extensions in?? Thank you!!

Monae Artistry's Hair and Makeup Blog: @jackson6677 No problem! I appreciate the questions. The 12 inch hair is on the top. It blends with her hair and makes it easier to layer.

calimesmerizer1: Can you explain what you mean my sewing the track "up" to get more volume?

Monae Artistry's Hair and Makeup Blog: @NiahNicole Thanks Niah for the love! I really appreciate it. Check out the other videos and keep the comments coming :-)

Gi Sheree: THAT LOOKS SOO GOOD! Ahh!

Monae Artistry's Hair and Makeup Blog: I normally use 1.5 packs of the hair for 12-16in hair. 2 packs for anything longer.

Rachel Musafiri: Very beautiful.

shanequa jackson: Thank you so much for answering all of my questions:) you are the Best.

charleneluvable: wow I love the way you talk, I didnt like showing me in my videos because I talk with a lisp because of thumb sucking, thanks for posting the video. My first self hair weave was very discouraging. I can do others but when it comes down to my own I just mess up the front. I will keep practicing because I cant' see myself paying so much money I dont' even charge others when I do theirs. One person wanted me to pay $400 plus I had to get the hair. Talk about my hair paying someone elses rent.

Monae Artistry's Hair and Makeup Blog: Thank you :-) Make sure to check out my other videos on hair color, makeup, and at home hair care? I'd love to hear your opinions.

Monae Artistry's Hair and Makeup Blog: No problem, great question. The 12" hair is the hair extensions that are sewn onto the cornrows. Have you checked out my new videos on how to wake up with sexy hair and how to get beautiful shiny hair at home? I'd love to hear your opinion on them.

Rachel Musafiri: Very beautiful.

Ni Smith: nice! where can i buy that mesh?

O H: How much such thing will cost ? and do you have to change it completely after 8to 12 week or just maintenance ?

Monae Artistry's Hair and Makeup Blog: @2012LIG this is why I have this channel... to educate those that need it. The client shampoos her hair on her regular schedule with shampoo and conditioner. Thanks for this opportunity to educate.

Monae Artistry's Hair and Makeup Blog: Awesome thought. That me be in the works. Have you entered to win in my bDellium Tools professional makeup brushes giveaway?

AbsoluteMdot: I was thinking about getting a sew in. Is your hair safe under a sew in

Starr_allen: If I decided to do it the same way will I be able to put it in a pony tail??

easternhair: very good video, thanks

Adia Stephens: Could I get the hair to fall this way in the front without braiding up my edges?

Monae Artistry's Hair and Makeup Blog: The 12" hair is on the top of the head closest to the natural hair.

Monae Artistry's Hair and Makeup Blog: Thank you so much! I work between NY and DC. If you seriously want a referral shoot me an email. Have you checked out my new videos on Ombre hair color and sexy shiny hair at home.

Jacqueline Kelly: What kind of hair did you use?

winiver77: nice result - wish i cd get hair done by u!!

Nikki R.: i totally agree with You all....how do you figure braidinh up her edges will promote hair growth? And then how tight you braided them....Yep, those edges will definitely fall out

Inspector Gadget: everyone has their own method what works for some doesn't necessairly work for all there is a gray line between right and wrong way to install extension..just as long as u get a great look and ure natural hair retains growth there's nothing wrong with the methond..

Monika Hinojosa: Hi Just wondering about how much does it cost to get this done, I have fine thin hair, and just loved how your model's hair came out, will my hair fall out? just a few questions hope you can answer for me! thanks I LOVED THE VIDEO!

Monae Artistry's Hair and Makeup Blog: That was virgin Indian Hair. Have you entered to win in my bDellium Tools professional makeup brushes giveaway?
