How To...Remove Hair Weave/Extensions (Sew-In)

It's time to get rid of that ratty sew in and I'm going to help you take it out so you can save yourself a trip to the shop and the money they will charge to remove that weave.

You also get to see me in the raw...oooh chile don't miss this!!!

Hey guys, I'm going to show you how I go from this to this in a matter of less than an hour, so I hope you stay tuned because I'm going to be showing you how to take out your weave now some say extension, some say we some Say, hair whatever I'm going to teach you how to take it out so, and this is for sew ins, I don't glue my hair in so I'm going to show you how to take out your hair weave when you have it sewn in with thread. Okay stage right so the trick to this is patience which is an inside joke. What you want to do is you want to find the thread and, as you can see, but you see that thread right there, that's what I'm looking for that guy right there now me I like to whip it up with my finger first. Does that I make sure, and then I catch it right here and then that is kind of Nick it with the with the scissors or if you want, you can just stick your Souter there just make sure you don't have any or anything and then just pop Right on the loop - and I just continue to do this and a lot of times once you clip it - the thread wolf punch on our as you pull, so you don't have to do it on every piece of thread, because not everybody is as patient as me. That'S an inside joke for no really, I don't have much patient. I remember one time I had braids and I could not stand it and I came this close to just cut nama harer that didn't have to do them, so you really want to have a patient, because you will cut your hair if you're, not patient, and you Search for the thread now that thread this CU. This is actually a lot thinner than the typical hair thread that you find. You see how thin that in talked about my finger, how long push it up if you help them? That is all nothing right now that is fricking spin. So this is what I'm looking for, and I just go through there and just cripples just clip ding. I never even cut the hair. So that way, I should there's a they give some resistance a lot of times. That'S your hair, so you might want to be careful when you're doing that, so I'm going to go ahead and continue to do this all the way through and I'll. Let you see what it looks like when I've gotten the majority of it out of there okay, so you have to know that I love you in order to show you this, but, as you can see, I've gotten half of it out and it's very very it's Grown a lot because you can hardly even see the part in your new jersey. That'S actually a part, know that good stuff, but um a lot of people like to start at the back and the reason why you can do. That is because I say if you have to run or do something and you start taking it down and it takes you a while, you can throw a cap or you can flip it back over and nobody would know that you've already started and then choosing how. I do when I take down my braids, but because I've been in this house for like a few days and I haven't gone around a plan on going anywhere. I start at the top because these sides are the hardest to take out, especially when they start climbing, and I tend to wash my hair so sometimes it collects into or gel product anything that you put on there edges will collect in here I like to start At the front, so that way I can see it and I don't have all the weight of the weave hanging on the sides of my head. You know pulling it down, so I'm going to go ahead and finish taking the rest of this out and then you'll see the end okay. So, as you can see, I'm almost done. This is my last a little squiggly brain can't really tell because of the fact. There'S so much hair growing over, but it is so dirty from product and unfortunately like I like I said I do wash my hair when it's a weave, but it's um still tooth the gunk up in those spots where that threat was. So. That'S why I stir I've had to wash it usually is not too long after that take out. But this is a live brain and, as you can see, there's still little pieces of thread. You will have that, but, as you go just go ahead and they will fall out if they don't verify, for it's really really wrapped around there. You can do the same thing that takes that scissor and kind of clip it put the thread. So I'm going to show you another plank after all, this part is over we're almost done okay, so it is done, and I am really really glad that I can put my hands in it. I really kind of miss playing in my hair and doing my natural hair, so I'm gon na go wash it. Oh, so so good! Yes, man, I'm going to go wash it and then just get it clean and get all that good hair. Because I'm sure I lost some hearing your other type of dead here somewhere sure to come out. But oh well, it'll come out in the wash so stay tuned and you'll see the end results like at the beginning of the video okay. So, as you can see, it's all washed and I have a lot of shrinkage - I usually get a luxury kid. I mean it's usually a lot of shrinkage so but um. I think I could take about shoulder width now, but you would be able to tell that like this and I just washed it with earthly delight. I hate it when I have to do that. So you can do but then early July I got this from hopefuls in Dallas, Texas and then for my conditioner. I use kinky curly knot today and my sister is probably gon na kill me because she told me not to buy this, but about it anyway. Cuz. I'M really listen, and then now I want to do now is just put a little gel on it. I can just use this. I love all eco styler, so this is all I'm doing this gon na. Take it nice to take a lot of it cuz. I got big head, I mean I'm sorry, I got a lot of hair and it suet on the edges, just jump edges so that it lays really nicely smoothing, smoothing and smoothing, and since I her is kind of honest with almost dry or it's not really completely. Where I said it's not completely way to start the air joy, I really like to use the UM brushes of stuff, so that is take my heaven, and this is what I do take my heaven, and this is like everyday parrot that for me, when I'm ready To keep going now wrapping around then I smooth it on back and then are she blows, poof it up and there we go so now you tell me go from weave today so hope you enjoyed it hope it was easy for you to follow and enjoy. If you have any other questions, just post your questions and everything down there and also don't forget to click right over there or over there, wherever, how are you watching it cook that yellow box? I want it to subscribe. Okay, bye,

Biased To J: I just used this video to take my own hair out for this first time ever without any help. Granted, I needed my roommate to help me start one track where the thread was going not only over the braid but under, and finding where my braid underneath it all ended so I could start taking that out as well. But your video was so helpful and gave me the confidence that I could do it by myself and I DID! So thank you!

Mimi Healey-Mitchell: Thank you.  I love both looks.  I didn't know how to remove them.  I had my first set of tracks for my wedding two weeks ago and I love them, but I'm ready for my own thin, can't do a thing with, hair.  Like you said, I want to put my hands through it, and feel my scalp.  Our daughter wants to keep hers forever, but I'm ready for a break. Thank you so much for the help, you are gorgeous either way!!!

Ashli Monroe: I'm so glad this is helpful. I'm working very hard to get back to making videos. I have so many ideas but when I do it this time I want it to be right

Places&Minds: After watching this video I removed my own weave for the first time... Usually I call my friends in desperation to help me ... Now I can all do it on my own plus no need for the saloon . Thank you so much... Really helpfull

Ashli Monroe: Awww thanks dolls for the continuous comments. Its still been hectic with me as far as my schedule goes. Hopefully I can get these videos done and continue to help you all with your beauty concerns. Love y'all.

Laetitaly bee: this helped me soooo much <3 you are amazing now i'm back to my clean beautiful natural hair :)

Ashli Monroe: I permed my hair (well got it professionally permed) almost a year ago and it has fallen out soooooo much. I would totally recommend going natural. I can't wait until after July and I'm cutting it off again and going back natural.

Esther Cann: THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! I had weave and it got so tangled so my mum had to pull it out and after 2 years my hairs only just starting to grow back from it.

Kari Walker: This was so helpful! When you have a weave, is normal for the strings to show on top? I've just gotten my first weave and I'm having trouble hiding them. Thanks!

Veronika Berdnikova: great video i managed to take out my first hair extensions. You forgot to mention how to unravel the thread twisted into your actual hair once the weave has fallen out

Annette: Thanks ThouArt....Beau,  after watching your tutorial i had the courage to take out my weave too x

Tangleduntangled: Great video, have you tried the Take Down Remover Cream? You do have patience-but weaves with Tangled hair and knots are always a hassle. Conditioner really does not work as effectively on all types of tangled matted or knotty hair- really it was not created to. The best detangler and knots in hair remover on the market is the Take Down Remover cream. No matter how long you leave your weave has been in- it detangles through knots and matted hair-it really makes your hair soft. Saves time too.

Coraya Jones: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTIN THIS VIDEO i got my first sew in a few months ago and now im taking it out to get onother but i go the remi hair so i could re use it and since ive never had a sew in i didint know how to take it out and i saw my mom take her sew in out.....it took her hours and the track were chopped up and alot of hair came out. also in other vids people just say cut the thread like i know what they talking bout u made this vid perfect thank you so much(:
