[ Applause ] - all right, you guys, so I wanted to make this video so that you guys could get used to our team in extensions. So we have 22 inch and 16 inch extensions. Today we are going to be working with the 22 inch. The one thing that's a little bit different about our team is: is they come without team on them? So if you get them - and they arrive like this - that's completely normal - your order will come with take with it and you can just put the team on there as you go, and this is going to make it a really seamless and easy transition. And it's not a problem at all: it's just that we choose to have the tape from separate so that you can stock the hair as long as you want, without it expiring on the hair. Okay. So before any tape and extension installation, I always fly iron. The hair, as you can see here, her hair, has been up in a bun and it's a little bit kinky, so we wanted to fly iron it just to smooth it out and give us a really nice base. To put the extensions on to. I am using this gorgeous flat iron from FHI heat. They sent it to me and immediately. I was obsessed because hello look at it. It'S rose gold. If you guys know anything about me, you know that this color is my weakness. I love it so much and I was so impressed by the way this worked. I mean you guys can see right here. It is smoothing the hair out. So so. Well, it's really easy to use and you don't have to hold it down on the hair forever. It'S really easy and quick, and it just heats up really fast, which is awesome, because this is not something I like to spend a lot of time on. I want to run that flat iron through her hair and not be spending 30 minutes flat ironing before the installation, so I would definitely recommend getting this flat iron. It was really amazing to use - and I think I'm gon na buy one for my house because I love it so much the eyes. I got up to worry this connected inside okay, so, as you can see here before installation, we are applying tape to the tape and hair extensions. The reason that my company comes without tape on the actual hair is because we have found that tape actually has an expiration date. This is something that I had. No idea was a thing until I opened an extension company and through trial and error. In many many many different types of tape, we have found that it usually has a shelf life of about three months. We have a lot of people that order extensions and stock them for their salon, and we were noticing that, if it's at longer than you know three to four months, it would start to expire. So to fix this problem, we decided to have it come with out tape so that we could just send the tape with the hair, because the retake times have a longer shelf life than the tape that came on the hair. So this is our way to fix that problem. You shouldn't have any installation issues as far as tape, not being sticky. That was the problem we were running into because the tape was expiring so quickly. So that is why we do it this way, and we have had no problem since transferring over to this, and I love it so much so I am using white. We tape sheets right here. You guys can see that the tops are white and the back is clear on this tape that I'm using here. We have recently changed our tape and it is now brown on the background and the reason we've done. This is because we have found that this new tape is the easiest one to work with. It has a really strong hold time, but it also comes out of the hair really easily and we formulated our remover to go with this tape specifically. So if you see our tape now I'll throw a picture up on the screen, this is what it looks like, and this is the tape that will be sent to you on us. When you order your extensions, we send you enough to do a full bag plus a little extra okay, so we are now placing the tape ends. I like to work with a prickly pattern, and I also utilize angles on a few of the pieces that I put in this is just the way I like to do it. I know that everyone has a different way of doing it, but this is just what has worked for me as I have played with it over the years. If you are familiar with my company, you know that we have something called the placement guide. This is something that I came up with when we started the company, because I felt with tape ins. There were two problems: a initial installation and B putting them back in. So I'm going to throw up some pictures on the screen of the placement guide. So you guys can see what I'm talking about it is the feel of a dinner mat. So it's a big plastic board. It has the back of the head, the of the head and the right of the head, and you can see right here that those little lines show you exactly where to place your tapings. So if you're just looking at this, it's a really helpful guide to place. Your teeth ins initially, and it also helps you put them back in a lot of the problems I was having. When I first started doing tapings was you have anywhere from like twenty to sixty little pieces you put in the head and when you take them out, they've all been blended specifically for the area they were placed and it's really hard to get them back. In the same place, so if you put them on these little lines that are on the placement guide, you know exactly where it was on the head. You can take the tape off, put it right back in where it was so. It'S a really helpful tool for placing tape ends initially and then also putting them back in and not having to re blend or lose any link. You can find this on our website and I will link it in the description box below and I want to apologize. I did not realize that this footage right here was blurry. Until I was editing, it was focusing on me instead of the head and I'm so sorry, but I did want to show you guys, because this is an example of white bricklaying. What happens is so important if you don't Brickley you're gon na end up having gaps and spaces in the hair, so, as you can see right here, I am doing one that's placed behind her ear and then the next one that I place is going to be Brickley just a little bit above it and that's going to make it so that these tape ends lay together instead of having spaces. So, as you can see it's above the other one, but when it lays down it blends really nicely with the last one I placed and I always recommend two to three bags of t pins for a full head. You can do one if you were wanting fullness. Only but with length we always say two to three. Our little motto at the salon is 2 is good. 3 is great, for is fantastic for thick hair. We are now blending her extensions. I always pull the extensions forward and how, if the client show me where they want it to hit, and then I do the front first turn them around. Do the back that takes care of the baseline and then I go through and do some slide cutting and texturizing to blend the extensions in with the natural hair? Don'T ever use our razor when doing this always use shears razors can fray the cuticle of the extensions and cause them to frizz and just kind of affect the integrity about the extensions and with her she actually doesn't like layering at all she's my sister and she Doesn'T let me cut layers into her hair, so I am just doing a base line on her, but normally I would slice that, and texture is a little bit more just so you guys know, but if you would like a video on how I blend hair extensions, The right way, then, let me know, because I would totally do that, for you guys also. I just wanted to talk really quickly about placement for a minute. I know that my placement guide shows that there are angles, and I talked about how I use ingles on some of the placements of the tee pins. As I've been teaching this in classes. I'Ve had a lot of people say. Other companies have taught people not to place them on a mingle because the hair grows in straight, and you don't want to place on an angle because of that. But I don't really agree with that, because some people actually have their hair grow forward or back. Everyone has a different hair growth pattern and that's really not something that you can just say: everyone has like not everyone's hair grows straight down, so I really feel like it depends on the client's, hair type and their growth pattern, but also the angles help you be Able to wear your hair up easier, it helps you hide them better and I feel like it also helps that lay a little more naturally because you're following the shape of the head, it's the same idea of when you do beaded rest. You do the horseshoe shape to follow the shape of the head and you're, putting those beads and those stitches on an angle. So it's the same with Chapin's. You should be able to do angles as long as it matches the curvature of the head and it's not too steep. So if you have any questions about that feel free to reach out to me, because I've done a lot of research on this and it's something that I feel is okay as long as done correctly, [ Applause ], all right! So that's my little video on how to install tape and hair extensions and just a few tips and tricks, plus some products from my company that I feel helped the method and if you guys have any other questions, feel free to reach out to me. I will leave my email address in the description box below, if you guys have any questions about my extension company, our products, anything that email address will be the best way to get a hold of us. I will also leave my instagram handles below. You can also DMS for questions, but just know that email and phone is the easiest way to get ahold of us and I will leave the salon phone number. I hope you guys enjoyed this video. I thought it was kind of fun because a lot of people are focusing on beaded West. So much lately and my classes focus on that and I feel, like T pins, definitely get lost in the shuffle because it is an older method. But it's a method. That'S awesome and a lot of people prefer tapings to wess. It kind of just depends on the client, so I feel it's important to know multiple methods, because no two clients are the same. Some are gon na prefer last summer can improve your tips and you just never know if you were interested in taking any of my extension certifications. I will also leave those in the description box below thanks so much for watching you guys have a great day. It'S a swagger

Brittany Bohm: Do you cut their natural hair before you install the extensions? Or does it vary between clients?

Natalie Pena: These are so beautiful! Honestly some of the most versatile and natural looking extensions on the market. I just wish you offered free shipping or accepted PayPal . I'm still hoping to get some in the near future

Katrina Lambregtse: yes! would love a video of how you blend the extensions

Amanda Hensley: Definitely would love a video on blending the right way

BHorror Reviews: Love this Jessi! I bought some of your extensions around Christmas and they are still going strong. I also picked up some of your rose hair oil and it is so luxurious I have recently been dealing with some scalp irritation where the tape ins lay on my head, I would normally spray some tea tree oil, but I know it’s not good for the adhesive quality. Do you have any tips for calming itching? Also do you have any tips on shampooing; how often, specific shampoos and how to properly get between tapes better? Love ya!

Bella: Loving my youtube recommendations today! That placement chart makes a big difference in blending, and they sure look like they're gonna be less visible like that. But I'm a bit worried about the weight of those angled ones. Won't they "pull" the hair unevenly when wet and cause discomfort and possibly even breakage?

RomeoAndJuliette4111: The stylist helping the lady with her oxygen tank at 7:50...I can’t ❤️

Chelle A. Bejarano: You’re so Awesome at what you do❤️

Jennifer Rudd: I would also love a video of how you blend the extensions.

Brandi Knoebel: Yesss a video on cutting to blend and curling your natural hair to blend with the extensions!

kewl pen: Thanks for the chalkboard of correct placements. Great video.

RealTalk With LadyDee: If you have to run the iron over a hundred times not a good flat iron.

Bugzpudding: Tbh that flat iron didnt look too great but good job!

Carson Mcknight: Definitely do a blending video!

FANOLA: wow! this is incredible, watching you work is so satisfying, and that placement chart is so helpful!!

Gabriella M: Not even halfway through and I’m like “omg that’s BRILLIANT.”

Corrine Kent: Love the video! Any idea when your double sided tape will be back in stock looking to purchase the tape and the remover but wanted to wait for both to be instock

Luna: Beautiful! Also looove the color! x

Sara Cara: Love it!

AdrianaMStyle: Will you please make the video on how to cut and blend the extensions

Antje Hendrick: Yes please make some video's of blending the extensions

Alandra Rains: beautiful!

B MONEY: Thank you for explaining the reasoning for the tape change, I had the stickiness problem the first time I ordered, but since you’re separated the tape from the hair right from the beginning, it’s been so amazing. A little extra work, but worth it. And I like that you include the tape with the extension. Some companies would charge extra, even though one won’t work without the other, so thank you for that!! Much love from PA!!!❤️❤️❤️

kim: When you remove the extentions with the take down spray,do you need to wash them out before retaping and putting them back in the hair? If so,how do you do that and keep track of where they go?

Nadia Markova: Hey Jessi, how many bags did you use in this video? thank you<3

Megan Williams: I personally like my tapes on a angle starting from behind the ear - forward because I love to be able to pull my hair up daily and hide my tapes so I don’t have any pulling but i can totally see if someone never wears their hair up why they would want them at no angle & it’s easier to re install. Like you said to each their own ❤️

Dante Velasquez: such a transformation!

Dawn Auton: Where did you get your skirt!!! Love it!!!

Olivia Bongiovi: Please do a blending video!!

Mags mom: Very pretty!!

Bre Dirzanowski: How many packs did you use on her? My hair is about the same length and style as the before picture

Tommy Coleman: How do you maintain? Wash hair everyday, once a week? Can you use conditioner?

Katelynn Migues: So when you do the angles, does it cause bumbage towards the front? What’s the best technique for it to be flat?

joan o: The hair always looks sooo soft and shinny!! Lovee

Jill Large: I’ve had tapeins and NBR. I have fine hair. I found the NBR were easier to hide because the tape on tapeins seemed to show if the wind blew. Does your tape blend better??

Tinna Hernandez: Hello, my name is Millie Hernandez I am interested in taking a class as you mentioned please confirm if its still available and what is needed thanks much !!!

Kywest: Hi Jessi, just wanted to ask where do you put the second tape in on the guide? Every place has to tape ins since we do a sandwich with it and there’s only one line per place on the guide, lmao probably a dumb question

Margaret Chabot: How do you get the tape out of the hair?

Rebecca P.: I watch your videos because I LOVE LOVE LOVE you and I’m also a hairstylist. HOWEVER! I miss when you used to put where your clothes were from!! I’m obsessed with your style

kayla page: Omg where is your sweater from it’s so cute!

Really Rebeccah: Holy shit, this is not helping my desire for tape ins.

Connie Suther: How long before you have to move them up ?

Danielle Stocker: Does your scalp get irritated in the summer time? I have extremely thick hair so I would need 4-5 bags.

Michelle Rya: What colour are these extensions? She has the same colour hair as mine and it would help me order them! Thanks

Elicia Castrejon: Can you do tape ins with curly or wavy hair??

Alyssa Bell: I’m getting married in September, and really want thicker hair. Would you recommend hair extensions? I have fine hair and I’m afraid it’s gonna damage my hair

Morgan Lowe: That skirt though

Dave Marshall: What's the curling iron brand and size in this video? Great work as always

Lasting Impressions: Going over tape in hair this many times with a flat iron WILL destroy the tape ins.

Lea Seberg Fladstad: Has anyone else started wearing extensions also just because you have also had problems having short and thin hair for a long time and not been able to get long and thick hair again which you don't have patience or not even have time to wait for some special reasons as me? How long can tape extensions be on hair, can it be used again several times on hair, how long can it last before it gets worn out, how many tape exensions do I need for short and thin hair when I want long and thick hair, how can I keep it on my hair without it falling off, does it feels natural like our own hair when we wear it, would tape attachment still be invisible on short and thin hair, can it make hair worn, how to blow-dry my hair and tape extensions without it being worn if the tape extensions have to be blow-dryed every time I wash both the tape extensions and my hair and are there any products other than just extra tape, remover and another shampoo and conditioner the tape extensions also needs?

Kate Wilkinson: thank you for sharing this ws very helpful!

Mz.Sunshine Frances: Wow, there is a spiritual war going on over the mind and soul of the people and he admits it in your face and the people say yaaaaaaa good job sad but slow

JulieAnkha N.: Shouldnt keep going over the hair mult times on thin hair.

Nikki Hairstylist: Very nice !! ✂️✂️

Megan Moone: why arent you using a flatiron to seal both sides of the glue together? i feel like the second that she goes to wash her hair those are all going to fall out.

Zoo Nkauj: Thank you!

VersaceDiet: 7:20 you can see Tge hairdressers really short layers. I had no idea her hair was all extensions.

LivingInStyle: You have to wash her hair and dry it before extensions with shampoo only....

La Rubia Telis: Ok do you sell the tape separately, foe retaping?

Ashley Kinsella-Ralph: how many “sandwiches” do you roughly have on her head

Athena Dresselhouse: Where is this salon located?!

Tovah: Did you not clean the hair first to ensure they stay in? I’m asking because when you were flat ironing (and yes OBSESSED with Rose gold girl!! I feel ya!!) that there was that “smoke” from product or dirty hair……???
