Single Sided Tape For Hair Extensions

Single Sided Tape is the answer for clients with thin or fine hair who want extensions that won’t put stress on their scalp. Plus, by using only one weft per section, the hair can be distributed around the head twice as much. It’s perfect for adding a splash of color or a little volume.

Hi everybody, I'm Ruben Martinez, hair artist and international educator for Donna, Bella, hair extensions and today we're going to be talking about different options with the taping method that Donna Bella has to offer. So we're going to be focusing on the single sided tape. Now I love this concept because the fact it's the true answer for somebody with finer hair that may not be able to hold or support the weight of our traditional combo webs right or if you have a client who's coming in for some cha-cha, some fashion color. It'S a great option to get the most spread out of one pack as well. So let's get started before we demonstrate the single sided tape. I'M going to show you the traditional approach of how to put on these tape and hair extensions. So now the single sided tape is very, very similar. All we're going to be doing is the same approach as we did. The combo left right so now we're going to bring this down and you can actually see and that's what I love about doing the extensions like once you get this going, you can just have them lined up where you want them to go. So that's going to be using as like as a guide, so you're going to go ahead and lift this up clean. That section right and what you're going to do is you're going to over direct this and clip this out of the way. Okay, make sure this is real, nice and clean. So now the single sided tape comes in already pre-cut for you guys, which is awesome. When I take this off, I use my middle finger to guide it, so it doesn't roll up on me. Okay, that's a little trick. That'Ll help you out there. So then you get this with both hands and you want to touch the adhesive as minimal as possible. So now I'm going to place this and line it up with the backside of the weft that I initially put on. So one thing I don't want to do you guys is. I don't want to put firm pressure on that. Okay, we want to over direct this. So we can get the approach where we want it, but we never want to put firm pressure when it's in an over directed form. Okay, I should say an over directed fall. So the reason why is because, when we bring this down BAM check this out beautiful? Now the hair lady's at a natural, zero degree elevation and in very much in its natural fall. So then we can come through here and just go ahead and put the firm pressure to secure that and voila you go. You put firm pressure, make sure those ends are secure and you have the mobility and movement as you normally would with a double combo left, but instead you don't have all that weight from the two combined webs together. So once again, this is going to be the answer for your fine hair two clients who don't have the weight naturally to support the combo weft extensions. Okay, you guys so have fun with this man and just go ahead and start creating your days away.
