Hello guys so fun and exciting things are gon na be happening today, I'm getting extensions. Finally, I've been wanting them. Well, that's a lie. I was gon na say I've been wearing them for a while, but I haven't really to be honest with you guys. I have always had pretty long hair, so I've been pretty lucky. I remember one summer, like years ago, I grew up my hair and it was like down to my waist for a really long time. The only catch was that it was dark, so it was really healthy. I didn't break off a lot. It was really easy to keep it healthy and keep it nice and long and thick, and since I've been blogging for the last Lake, I want to say, like two plus, like I've been blonde for the last like three four years, but like platinum like this. For the last, like two years, it's like significantly broken off and really now it only Falls like to here, whereas before it used to go down to like literally there. So that's like it when I really noticed like a lot of the breakage and stuff. That'S when I was kind of like okay, I really want my long hair back. I think it's time to get extensions, so the funnest thing about what we're going to be doing today is, I actually don't know how to put in tape in extensions. That'S the tip that I'm going to be doing today, so I have one of my really good friends here to teach actually both of us, so I'm gon na be learning along with you guys and yeah it'll be cool. I can't wait for you guys to see what its gon na look like and I'll bring you through step-by-step of exactly what we're gon na do and then I'm gon na be super long, hair, whoo, oh he's a step. One of the extension process is call your friend who does extensions, invite her to come over and pop a bottle of champagne, so this is Elena by the way guys. This is gon na be teaching us what to do today. So I was pretty sure we were actually talking waffle while this happened, but you just filled up a warm sink right yeah, so hot water opens the cuticle of the hair. So if you dip the hair to toning cold water, it's not gon na soak it to it so always make sure your water is pretty hot and you want your hair in saturated water, you're gon na dip it in to make sure that you get it all. So there's no streakiness on it, especially because it's so long and depending on how ash you want it you've seen Heather's, hair and Heather's turns basically white, so we're gon na be acting this out. If your hair is a little bit more Golding you're dipping it in maybe twice and you're gon na get the tone that you want it. So it's going in okay, I'm sorry how much purple shampoo did you put in here, I'm a good half! I have coffee. So, like it's good squeeze, okay, good and today you guys know that I use finola, I'm going to show you that in a second but Alana's using ice cream, no yellow shampoo! You trust her judgment. Um. The ice cream is really violent based, so it doesn't have that blue tone to it it's more of a purple tone. So it's just a personal preference what you like, but I do like how this turns out drench it all in. Usually you want to make sure that tapes don't get in, but we did pick up extra tape just in case these two get wet and we probably will be retaining them. So you can see how fast that's all ready for me see how it turned pretty damn quickly, so I might dip it twice and it might go so I like to run my hands through to it. So like really opened it up and if your retaping it then dunk it all the way, otherwise you're gon na get that little space in there. That doesn't get toned. But I want her to have everything toned so we're gon na retake them. We'Re gon na open up the hair make sure nothing gets blotchy and that's okay, you guys so now we're rinsing with this arrow staining the shower II literally just threw the shower on, and our just rinsing it out and a little bit of it is gon na. Come out, but it's so more or less okay, so we're just comparing to see if this is good to go when you think it is yeah, it's like a bit early, almost identical, which is crazy because it was so real low before and I'm gon na show. You guys a picture yeah, so that was like literally super quick in the hospital bag yeah by the way guys, I'm gon na definitely link all of Alana's information somewhere in this video, and if you are in the Toronto area, she does extensions. So don't worry, you will get all of her info before the end of this video for sure. Okay, you guys so we just toned these bad boys in the shower, so you saw that we dip them in the purple, shampoo or rinse them out in the shower, and now they pretty much match my natural hair literally almost identically, I think exactly identically. Some super excited about that and now we're just gon na treat this literally like your natural hair. That'S attached to your head, we're going to spray some leave-in conditioner on the hair rush it through and then blow-dry it so that we can [ Applause ]. So I like to dry it up just the tiniest bit, but you make sure you make sure you want to make sure that you brush it through as you're blow-drying it. Otherwise it does get frizzy. You want to treat it like your natural hair, how to get frizz out when you're blow-drying is to blow-dry it straight down with the brush always running through it, okay guys, so we are actually going to be re taping these extension and is because they're wet right Is that the reason yeah? So when we wash them the tape got a little bit wet so we're using Walker lace, front tape, you can get it at most beautiful supply stores. It looked like. Oh, this looks like this will show the package Jim and you want to make sure when you're blow-drying, the hair you're also blow-drying the tapes dry. Otherwise, the piece that you're peeling off on here is going to be a pain in the butt to get off. So you want to make sure you fully dried these as well as there, because it's a double-sided tape. You want to be able to snip through right, beside the extensions and not have any extra tape, tap check it off. There is a thicker Walker tape, also the thicker Walker tape. If you don't want to spend a ton of money, you can do doubles. So it would look like this because the tape is so thick you're able to stack them this way. But then it does take a little bit more time because you're cutting through the top as well as opposed to just the side. I mean you could do it cousin, it's less tape on your hair, if you do it down there, it's just like as a cadet gon na just like stick to my hair, though otherwise yeah the rest of your hair. So that's second option. Okay, so guys, this is the second option right here. So do you see this like extra that we're like leaving at the top there? And then this is the first option and the it's down there. So the difference between the two is that this is way easier to cut. But then you're gon na have this excess in your hair, and I didn't really want that. So we're gon na tape lower so that it lines clean with this. But now it's just going to be a little bit more work off the top, because we're gon na have to cut the top as well. Okay guys, so we've reached all of the extension. So you can see it's this huge long row and it done the reason why we did this. We just want to brush teeth because we toned them and they got nice and wet. So we wanted to Noblet nice dry, fresh, clean teeth. So what I like to do for this is cut off sections, so I'm gon na cut off a long piece right here in the middle leave this aside and then the easiest thing to do is get all the hair that's attached, the top. I start to let's just move this down: snip down where the pieces are almost all the way, but then I leave it there gon na keep going right in the center. So that way, once you've done your entire row, you can go back and just pluck them off together. So you have a whole pile going, so you can start stacking them really nicely on the table to be. It just makes your life a lot easier when you're installing and then for these ones, because we did the long we're gon na go back and actually cut off that top piece. First, so that's your other option, your wait to cut it, but that's end result what you want it to look like, except it there's no edges on this side, because what will happen? It'S gon na pick up other pieces of hair that you don't want to go inside the extension. Do you want to make sure there's no edges so even like that, a little bit on the end there you're gon na snip that up and ready to be installed. Okay, guys so she's gon na Alana's gon na start putting the extensions in my hair, so she's gon na kind of basically like talk us through what to do. She'S, like I said, she's teaching me as well so yeah. I guess like we're. Gon na start at the bottom that would imagine and go from there and basically I'm just gon na. Let her gon na tell you guys what she's gon na do. Okay, so it's pretty simple you're gon na be prickling, so you're gon na start at the bottom. Depending on, if you wear your hair up a lot or not, and how much hair you're putting in is gon na determine how low you're actually going so, I'm just gon na section off a rough part of it. First Barba's are actually installing. Do you want to have a bunch of clips handy with you, a job clip and some alligator clips for the pieces that are just hanging down, so I'm going to use the jaw clips of section off the bigger part and I'm gon na lower you down a Little bit and I'm gon na get you to look down. So if you can see that it's not actually a straight line, you want it to be pretty perfect. So I'm going to go back into the section. I have a really clean lines. So when you're installing it actually will not stay, if you have too much hair and between the sandwiches you'll see when I could buy sandwiches - and I start to put them in and if you have too little hair. If you ever clipping up your nerve you're playing around with it, it's less leverage for the extension to hang on to and you'll rip out your own hair with the extension. So it needs to be the perfect amount and the lines need to be perfect. So there's actually just like three or four hairs right here. That needs to go up and you're going to keep doing that to make the line as perfect as you. So I'm going to use the smaller clip to help push this up. So the area's really clean - and you can see because I know Heather - does wear her hair up a lot that if I were to have two extensions right here, because that's where we're gon na start bricklaying. When do you put it up? The majority of they said chest and we covered so again really just cleaning that area to make sure this smallest amount of here is. Where is most me? Sorry, I'm hurry you they're gon na start. I'M also really quick guys. I don't know if we told you this or not, but I freshly washed and blow dried, my hair with absolutely no product in it before we got started. So is it safe to say that you want it on like clean dry, these right here, no conditioner and anything that's gon na make it really. Silky is gon na make the tape slip, so no oils conditioner, if you're gon na condition just the bottom half down as dry as the hair can be. The more adhesive is gon na will close the sandwich a family so that I sense okay so again getting get you tilt it down. So the first two exceptions are always just to side by side. You should never put three on the bottom. It'S a little too much, so this is the tape that the new lace front tape that we put on pretty strong adhesive we're just gon na rip off the back piece and you're gon na get a section of pretty good size of what the actual tape is And you'll see when you paint your section office, it's not a straight line enemies, so you're going to go back and underneath and remove the hairs to have an even section on the top and bottom, like I said if it's too much hair extensions, gon na fall Right out so once you have that in mistake, I learned the first time I ever got extensions. They were put in really tight meet the person that did it put them in and it was like right up against my scalp and your scalps actually really sore after that. So you're going to leave a little bit of slack, not a whole time, because you don't want to have to take them out prematurely, meaning that, like once extensions start to pour out you're gon na notice that okay they're too long you're twisting they're going to need To come out so you're not gon na put down really far, and you want them to be nice and tight in just the side. Let'S go not actually so that's the bottom piece in right there. It'S not a whole ton of hair in there, but it's just enough so we're gon na do the top top pieces, always a lot easier, so make sure they hear that you can eat in this, and we just stuck on to it. Top of the sandwich is going on and you want a symmetrical sides and top so there's no extra tape hanging out on the side of the mouth and then you're gon na tighten it so just to let you guys know what this hair is. It'S called a virgin cuticle hair. So what that means? The cuticles on the hair are all facing the same way and that's what actually stops the hair from tangling. So if you've ever had hair, that's a little bit on the cheaper side, there's a little bit of that synthetic feel to it when it's not real hair into the cuticles are all facing different ways. No one really cared when they put it together, so they tangles superfast, and you notice that you're brushing your hair constantly all day long. The installation is probably the shortest time of doing everything else. Besides prepping the hairs but probably going to take you the longest, but give it two three days, your hair goes up that little bit and it gives you a little bit more side. I'M gon na show you the body here when she does have her hair up. You can like very vaguely see those two extensions on there. Well you're gon na keep going and it's called brick link. So the next piece that I'm gon na do is going to be dead center in between both of these and then I'm going to work. My way up as you get to the sides, you're gon na a little bit start to angle it up not too much you're going to try and do a straight layer as much as you can. Unfortunately, with the extensions you do need to wear your hair down a lot more. If you do want this material and we'll show you yet hi guys, so we're like almost the full way through. As you can see, I have lots and lots of hair. It'S so exciting. It'S blending, like honestly perfectly, which is really exciting, so just wanted to show you a few more up close of like what it looks like and if you know you guys are gon na be doing this at home or whatnot. We just wan na make sure that you definitely have the procedure down properly, so we from here down is obviously done and then we're just gon na do now the top part of my head. Okay, so I think it's at the top, you start being like. Oh, so that way you do want to put your hair up. It'S not fully! You can imagine if something straight like this was on your side. It'S gon na pull really hard from up here, and this will have slack so it's best to do install on an angle for any of the side pieces. So she's done most of her layers. I'Ll show you underneath so you can see pretty much up to like the mid head. Everything goes straight, so I want to say too, like once you almost hit the top of the ear, so how their ear is right here - and this is where I stop going straight, because then you'll see on the side on this piece, we started to angle up. It'S kind of hard to tell on camera, but I promise you. It is a little bit on the ankle. What'S super irritating for clients is that when you have an extension right on top of your ear as it grows out, it sits on your ear. So I gave her enough space so that when I know that it's growing out, it's not gon na sit directly on top of her ear. So it's good to get out towards the end to make sure your placements really, even because then what happens on the bottom, if you had two extra here, you'll actually see the placement change up on the bottom because they'll be spacing. This looks really spaced out. There'S really long, but it will be trimmed so that it blends in really nicely so you'll see on top how there's a little bit of extra hair sitting on top of this guy right here. So what you're gon na do is you're going to take the cult and whatever is access, will lift right off and that's how you know how much you're, placing in between

TA L.: If you had to colour match these with, say Red hair, would you have to take them all apart from the bunch and colour them individually, strand by strand?

Courtney Jade: I've had tape extentions before and she used the brick laying technique but I struggled to part my hair down the middle and have it infront of my shoulders the tapes would always pop out

Erin gemini: **This is such a great tutorial! I bought extensions, & called around to find out the cost to put them in. I chose the cheapest quote I got. She did not pay ANY attention to parting the hair, or where she placed the tape-ins. She made me give her all the packages of hair "to prepare properly". After about 2 hours, she says she is "running out of hair" I bought 2X more than I needed...Iended up with NO extensions in the front or top of my head...I had a HUGE, painful "mullet" when she was done. The hair was pulling, because it was not parted with any care at all.I counted how many extensions I had & how many per pack vs. how many were in my hair...she STOLE an entire package of extensions!! I wondered why she went in the bathroom with my package of extensions!!True story! I'm afraid to tell Yelp or anyone, as I town I live in is small..& shes intimidating...Pay a professional when getting ANY hair services, a pro with 5 stars!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ash Real works not to be fake: Where did u order ur extension from do u have the website?

Megan Jeffs: Would have been easier to use tabs

Mikaela Samson: Great video and all but you should be responding to your comments instead of just “hearting” them. There are great questions here and I’m finding myself trying to answer them FOR you lmao

unavailable unfortunately Padilla espinoza: How long does it try ake do tape ins

Denise297_mystery and meaning: Are they hard to remove

Yasmin Robinson: How many sandwiches did she put in? Looks super thick but I'm not sure how many to use xx

Mig 2020: I had them in and I don’t like the feeling .

Sarah Kirschling: Hahaha yes give them alcohol honey

Alina Tullius: Did you take off the old tape before retaping

Arianna Justine: what extensions did you use?

Dacia's D.I.Y's: What’s the purpose of the tape? I like the the clips better

Ashley Zemple: Where did u get those hair extension an what was the name of the purple shampoo

I wish I could be blonde for 2 years that would be awesome but I literally can’t

C SF: Very nice video I liked very much

Theresia Schroeders: Are you in Australia

queenie B: That just looks way to hard get pre taped

Jodi Cherry: You remind me of Lady Gaga

Kaitlin Godin pangowish: i had to cut the tape out

TA L.: Also, you also didn't buy hair in strips (i.e., Babe strips in packets), this must reduce the cost of the set considerably?

Brandon Styles: Thick in the middle thin in the ends ? Bad quality hair extensions.

Olive Denton: Annoying ass bracelet making THE MOST NOISE

J. Z: Im sorry but it doesn’t look good at all
