Hi guys welcome back for house of hair UK. I hope everyone is safe and well. If you need to this channel, don't forget to hit the subscribe button and the notification bell that you can be notified anytime. I post new content in today's video. I am gon na be doing a taping install on a lady who has got silk, pressed hair, so her hair was completely natural and she had a silk press. But for me it resembles relaxed hair. So her hair is very silky. Almost like someone. Who'S got a relaxer, so this client has used tape and hair extensions before so. We just retaping her old hair extensions and we're gon na use 1 pack of fresh taping hair extensions. So here I'm just showing you guys how I go about retaping them, so I believe the hair that she uses like a Brazilian wavy hair that she got from an American company. So it's a us-based store and she has them delivered to herself. We don't mind clients bringing in their own tape in here, because we don't actually have a very wide range of taping hair extensions, and these hair extensions are a really good match for her hair, because they've got coarseness to them. They'Re not really really shiny, so they blend really well with her natural hair. So if you're new to hair extensions and you've never done hair extensions before whether you're a stylist or a client have in hair extensions, then you need to know that they leave out and the amount of hair that you leave, that around the parameter and wherever you're Parting is going to be is vital to a flawless install. It needs to be enough to be able to cover the hair extensions without you seeing any bulk, seeing the beads or seeing the kind of shininess of the tapered section here. I just wanted to demonstrate for you guys how kind of thick or have been the amount of hair is that you would need to do an install so you're going to sandwich the clients hair in between two pieces of tape. But you just want to make sure that the hair that you use is very very thin so that you can see kind of the white background in between it, and this allows the top tape to kind of stick to the bottom tape. If you have too much hair in between then it ends, it ends up, not sticking very well and the hair extensions end up sliding out. So I just wanted to demonstrate that by putting kind of a white background on it, so taping hair extensions are great. For someone who has got either short or quite fine hair, but one thing that you need to be mindful of whether you are a stylist is going to be given some advice to a client or whether you are a person who's going to be. Having taken hair extensions is that you need to be really consistent and quite disciplined when it comes to your maintenance. If you leave taping hair extensions longer than the desired time, which is about 6 to 8 weeks, then they can actually pull on your hair, because they're only hanging on to a very, very thin section of your hair and the tapes themselves are actually quite thick. Sometimes they're about 2 grams, sometimes 3 grams on that really small section of your hair, and because of that, if you leave them in for too long, they can pull on your natural hair. So I would advise that you get them maintained or that your customer gets them maintained every six to eight weeks, and that is a removal wash of the clients hair wash of the tapings and then a reinstall. Sorry. Another side note is that to make sure if your clients are going to be bringing in their own taping hair always make sure that you, as the stylist, has replacement tapes, because a lot of the tapes on the market are really rubbish. They'Re, not very tacky they're, not strong, and they don't stay in the clients hair very, very well. So you need to make sure that you've got replacement tape. If you remove the tape - and you feel like actually that's not not tacky enough - and you can add your own replacement tape to it - to ensure that it's going to stay in the clients hair for longer sorry another side now. Is that make sure you advise your clients or you as a stylist, know that you cannot put to heat at the top where the actual tapes are? You can put heat on the actual hair, but where the tape is it's the same as the carrots and blonde hair extensions, if you put too much heat on it from a blow dryer from straighteners or a curler, then the tape will become really tacky and it Will eventually start to slide out of the clients hair, so when they're drying it they want to blast the roots with like a cool blow dryer. I don't know if you guys saw at the beginning when I held up the tape extensions to her hair and there was a different light. Color her own hair was like a color 1b, and the hair extensions were almost like a color too, and I was thinking that two of them weren't gon na blend very well, but hair extensions can be really deceiving once you actually put them in your client to Her and you spread them around, then they tend to blend a little bit better. So just to be mindful of that. Sometimes a client will come in and the color looks slightly off, but once you've installed in is spread out. They tend to blend really well, I'm gon na be holding some tape in master classes which are going to be live-streamed master classes. On the 26th of July, I will leave the link in the description so that you guys can get yourself hooked onto the class if your stylist, who wants to learn how to do tape, ins in a correct way. So this is our final look guys. Thank you. Mary J Flanagan: I made and installed microlinks into my hair. Although I did a very good job, I think I like the natural texture of my hair. Therefore, I'm planning to install some kinky bulk hair. I have a very short 4C hair and love to press, curl and braid my hair. I am a very intelligent visual learner. I only do my own hair. So, thanks for sharing. Most of the ladies I know never heard of microlinks.

V Jones: I never knew it was done this way!❤ Beautiful!

Shay Vloggs: I have really shirt hair at the nape of my hair. Could I still use tape in? This looks amazing! Wonderful

Krystle Colleton: Hi, do you ever add heat, for example a straightening iron to the sandwich for a few seconds for application to ensure it glues well? PS. Love your videos ❤️

chelly!: Hi love! I love your videos, you're one of the few black creators that has videos covering tape-ins, thank you! Could you share a link for the replacement tapes you used in this video?

L M: Very detailed. Really appreciate that!

Alex: Wow this is amazing!

Tam Tam: I love this!! Do you sell the replacement tape?

Sara: Does this breaks the hair? I am relaxed and I like the tape in ideia, also with flat iron close to the root it won't melt, or fall down?

4657monkeyful: Could you walk us around your salon please so we can see your set up?

Urbanchicaful: Can you wash and condition your hair as normal when u gave tape in?

Ashley H: I’m in the US.. is there a particular replacement tape you suggest?

Zahra Simard-Trépanier: How is this not damaging our hair ?

B Phoxay: I get the install. Do a video removing and washing a client with tape in hair style. Like to see the removal and maintenance of such a style. #Inquisitive

Queeg500: Ok question, what happens when she gets caught outside and her silk press starts to frizz because of weather. I really want to try this techniques but my hair will start to frizz, and I’m afraid the blend will look totally off

Light Goddess: Do you know where she got her tape ins?

solomon henry: Impressed
