Lisa, let's talk tape and hair extensions. This client of mine has naturally curly hair, so I am flat ironing her natural hair before I apply her extensions and I am just starting at the base of her head. I do one in the center, and this is one way that I like to apply them in my classes. I teach three ways to apply them, but in this video I'm just doing the one and she is doing blond extensions and then also a rooted one as well. So we have a few different colors we're working with and I am piggybacking those colors together so that it doesn't look too chunky or two straight B. We did her color about a few weeks ago, and so now we are just adding these extensions. This is kind of part two of that color video, and you guys highly requested that so I figured I would film it for you guys. If any of you have ever seen me apply tape and hair extensions. You know that I utilize Ingles quite a bit. I had created a placement guide that you can buy on my website that goes over the placement. Forty pins and you can see in the placement guide that I like to do corners and angled, and then I like to do a front around the face. Angled and the reason for this is that it lays more naturally with the hair pattern. It covers corners and they're able to wear their hair up a little easier. So as of right now, I'm just doing these two Ingold corners right here and that one in the center [ Applause, ], [ Applause, ], [ Applause, ], [, Applause, ], [, Applause, ], [, Applause, ]. One of the most important things to t-pins is tension. As you can see here, my pointer finger is used as a base against the tape and to push it into the scalp, and then I'm going to use my thumb to tighten on top as well and after that's done and tight. I clean my corners up. Make sure there's no hairs poking in from either side and then I will place the other one right on top of it: [ Applause, ], [ Applause, ], [, Applause, ], [, Applause, ], [, Applause, ], besides on the fronts, can always be tricky because you want To make sure your client can still wear their hair up and they can't see their extensions. The placement guide is formulated for two and a half bags, but my client has three, so I'm just going to get a little creative and I didn't where I think she needs it. But the placement guide is a very good general placement for any client who's. Having K pins because you can't see their tape ins when they wear their hair up and they're very well disguised, so she has about three bags, so I'm adding in a little bit more. She also has a little bit more breakage around her face so because of that she's actually touching her breakage right here, you can see so because of that I'm going to be adding them a little closer just to fill in those spots. She has had babies, and most of you who have had babies know that your hair can change. It can break off because of hormones and all that fun stuff. So because of that, we are adding them a little bit closer to her face and she's. Okay with that, so just make sure you asked your client what their lifestyles like what they're willing to do if they wanted a closer to fill in breakage, go ahead, if not just place them a little further back when it comes to hair extensions. Blending is key that isn't one of the most important rules and making the hair extensions, look natural and blend in with the clients natural hair. So I am just coming over here and doing a baseline cut in the front and then I will flip her around and do the back and then I will just add in some textured layers and then slither around her face to blend in with her natural layers. I have five golden rules when it comes to extensions, and I teach that in my class, if you come to one of my extension courses, I go over beaded webs tape in extensions for frontals fullness and a full head clip in extensions color matching blending. The five golden rules of extensions all that fun stuff. So if you were interested in taking one of my classes, I will link my website below my next. One is November 19th and it's actually sold out so the next one after that's going to be in January. If you follow me on Instagram, you will see that I will announce those a few weeks before I have them so yeah. Thanks for watching this video, you guys, I tried to just gloss over the basics of tape and hair extensions and then, if you do come to one of my classes, it's a little more in-depth and we go over all methods. Thank you. So much for watching everybody have a great day: [ Applause, ], [ Applause, ], [ Applause, ], [ Applause, ],

sam riley: Jessi, you’re absolutely amazing. I really hope you don’t let jerks with unnecessary opinions get you down. Your success and talent are unparalleled!❤️ keep it up! Those of us that give a crap, are watching and cheering you on.

Natalie Wilson: I learned so much watching your video! I'm getting tape-ins at my salon in Seattle. I'll make sure to tell my stylist that I like to wear my hair up, so he angles them as you suggested. My hair is just above shoulder length, thick and wavy. Any other tips/suggestions? I'm mostly worried about having it be top heavy and not blending well. Oh, and I believe they use Bellami. :) Xo

Holly West: I would love a video on tips to keeping your salon up. I'm in hair school now and eventually plan to open my own salon. How do I sell products????

Taylor Wilson: I love the results of these tape ins! You recently put some in my cousins hair and they look phenomenal. How much does one pack of hair typically cost?

Katelyn Hughes: I so hope you will bring your classes to Atlanta, Ga one day! That’s the closest bigger city to me and I just love your methods for blonding and extensions!

Alyson Erbach: This blend is amazing!! My hair is to thick on the ends and I just can’t get it blend how I want

Trynda Osman: Jessi I just love your videos! I'm in South Jordan, I wanted so badly to come see your booth at pinners conference, but I want to purchase hair from you for myself, do you do color matching in your salon?

Kiara Fastuca: How curly is her natural hair? Id love to get tape ins but my hair is pretty curly, especially at the root. Do you just have to get around the extenions and flat iron the root or would you have to buy curly extensions? Beautiful video as always, you rock!

Tattini 321: Great work Want to go in your salon but i'm from germany i do it by myself now with the help of your videos. It looks so good and is not so expensive as at the hairdresser. Love your videos and how your hair looks! Greetings from germany

Kywest: I really love your work ! Not as a normal person, as a future hair-stylist :))

vanessa: how much would it be for you to install 60 (30 sandwiches) of tape extensions?

Jessica Hebert: Can you please do a video applying tape ins on a just below ear length bob with shorter layers

Laura Gale: Have you ever had anyone allergic or sensitive to the tape ins? I've tried Babe tape ins as fillers on my own hair and could only wear them a week or so before taking them out due to irritation :/ any suggestions? I only used them as fillers!

Teri Howey: When coloring the hair and putting tape in extensions on the same day, after the color is done do you clarify the hair and add a light weight conditioner staying away from the scalp area? I'm afraid of coloring the same day and adding extensions because of slippage. What do you suggest?

Michelle McCully: Love your videos! And I am not even a hairdresser

kelsea croston: Can you tone extensions while they’re in your hair?

Buki Arriaga: Beautiful

Kimberly: @jessigish does the natural hair have to be a certain length before extensions can be added?

Reece Magee: Loved this video ☺️

It'sabeauty- fulthing: Wich style extensions did you place in? Coz I know that you have them named after people :)

Sierra Martinez: How many sandwiches were used?

Nancy Zavala: Your awesome jessi

craig bryan: Best way to remove tape ins thankuou I find they leave a lot of residue

A person who has a Google account: I have trichotillomania. If I don't wear hair extensions, I will pull all of my hair out strand by strand. I can't just stop. That's like telling someone to stop breathing. The only thing that would help is medication drs will not prescribe to anyone due to the abuse of it. So I have to wear extensions to stop myself from pulling my real hair out. Instead I pull out the extensions, strand by strand.

Josefina Castellanos: How many sandwiches come in a pack?

Natalie Ashcraft: At you still using the hair couture extension remover? If not do you have one you like more? Thanks!

Jana xO: Can I dye them?

Shelby Carmicheal: I’ve had really bad luck in the pass with blonde extensions, well more so my hair changing blonde tone I’m guessing. Extensions match for one or two days then they look awful not a colour match AT ALL! Anything that can help with this?

Alexis Altman: Because her natural hair is curly, will she have to straighten her hair every single day to match her straight extensions? How does it work? :)

Allie Presley: How many packs do you think i need if i have like medium thin hair? And does salt water or laying in the sun hurt them? I seen where one girl went to the beach with hers and they melt off and got really tangled? I normal braid my hair and wear a cap on the beach anyways but i like to get in the water too!

Brianna: how many packs did you use on her hair???

Deborah Wallace: I’m noticing her natural hair looks rather straggly. Is this Caused by the tape in extensions?

hellodaralyn: Do you have wavy / curly tape in hair for hair like hers that is wavy or curly? I buy some online but if you have some I would try out your quality. My clients actually prefer have the wave or curl because it goes with their hair type instead of just being straight. Great video as usual!

Ashley Dunning: Is there any pain with tape in ? I’ve gotten the beads and wefts and I couldn’t do it

JESUS Y SUS DOLLS: YOU ARE DOING THIS WRONG, IS TO CLOSE TO THE SCALP, IF YOU ARE A TEACHER YOU ARE A BAD TEACHER.

Tracy: Does the extensions damage your real hair? How do you get them out?

Jessica Krenik: How many packs of hair do you personally wear?

SeAnna Gene: I was about to buy your tape ins but it says to use a flat iron before and after on your tapes but you don’t do that in this video?

Chris Lear: How can someone with her own tape brand be so clueless on application
