Best Hair Extension Tape | Walker Tape

I'Ve been keeping tabs on a company called Walker tape for a quick minute via Facebook. Their social media campaign really impressed me. Walker tape has a division totally devoted to hair extension tape. You can check them out at www.thekingofrandom.com. It'S made with urethane, which makes for a very flexible bond, and it lasts six to eight weeks I found with the pro-flex you get a stronger hold to start with. It takes a little more skill to apply, and removal is a little bit harder. What I like about both tapes is that they're adjustable it's perforated, so you can basically divide it into four brands like easy, hair pro and Balmain you'd want to use it divided into four the hair dreams. The base is just a little bit thicker, so we're gon na want to use the full amount of tape. It really just depends upon the brand that you're using so feel free to experiment and see what works best for you. Both tapes are applied exactly the same way, I'm going to demonstrate using hair dreams. This is what hair dreams looks like right out of the box. We'Ve got a white liner here that protects the stickiness of their tape and then over here. This is what it might look like after your clients, worn it for maybe six to eight weeks. The first thing that we need to do is remove the old tape I'm going to take my thumb and a rolling mo and work my way across the base pulling away from the base of the extension depending upon the system. This might be a little tricky, just be patient. I'M gon na go ahead and remove the white tape. First, I'm gon na repeat the same motion. I did on the first panel I like to take a pair of junky shears and take control of the tape and roll that out. Then I'll lay the panel on top of the piece of tape I'll be using the full amount of the tape because of the thickness of the hair drain space. Once that's attached, I'm going to trim the excess tape away, be careful not to cut or remove any of the hair. From the base of the extension for my peace of mind, I like to make sure that the tape is thoroughly attached to that base. I'M going to repeat this process on the other panel. Again, I'm going to roll the tape out a little bit more than what I need. I'M gon na take control of the tape with my scissors, I'm going to lay the part of the base down that had tape on it previously and line that up and then I'm going to trim the excess tape away from the base. Now these hair drinks panels are ready to be reapplied into your clients, hair. Let me show you what that would look like I'm going to show you how to reapply this hair drains panel. You'Ll definitely want to make sure that you're following the manufacturer's instructions when reapplying them back to your clients, hair, most tape and extensions, apply this same way. However, there are some subtle differences: I'm going to go ahead and peel the liner from the tape and I'll peel the other portion of the liner, and this will reveal the sticky side of the tape. No, I have pre-loaded hair up into, I would say my clients, hair. This is actually my one of my favorite mannequin heads, so I've I've pre-loaded that up and I've pushed it over. I like having control over the amount of hair that goes inside the actual tape panel. I'M going to apply this about a little bit less than a quarter inch just enough enough space between the scalp and where it attaches to have enough movement. So it doesn't stick out away from your clients head unclip and let it fall back over and then I'm going to take the second panel remove that liner and we're going to place that, on top of our first panel, make sure they line up perfectly. This is what a taping panel looks like when it's been reapplied using Walker tape. One last thing before we go, I wanted to let you know that Walker tape is willing to give licensed cosmetologist like yourself a free sample to try. So I definitely definitely take them up on this and be sure to tell them that the hair extension geek sent you. My name is Christopher box and I am the hair extension

Bara K: Hey i got a question. What kind of remover are u using? I always struggle to get the tapes out of my hair after

Carla Nice: I personally wouldn't attach the hair this close to the scalp,or at this angle on the side of the head,as makes it less easy to put in an updo and more likely to be visible.

Daphne Snow: Have you applied heat with a flat iron to the tape near the root? Or is that a no no?

Pippa Swallow: hi, I've used walker tape no shine for a year but the edges start lifting after 2 weeks, it's frustrating, have you any idea why this could be

❤️: Do you know of any good removal products for tape extensions? I really would love to try this method but living in asia where the prevalent extension method is braiding... this is unavailable to me ... Do you use the braiding method in your salons? Basically its a tree braid

❤️: Yeap.. We usually only have two types of extensions, japanese braid extensions and the microbead... There's no glue involved... I live in Singapore by the way... Hair extension salons are everywhere.. google singapore hair extensions...
