So i was coming through and my hair went shh and i was like [ Applause ], no, okay, hey golden ladies! This is ada pearl. Is your glow up pro back with another video and, as you know, as an image consultant, i hope you become the lady of your dreams by elevating your looks, class and mindset, and this week it's all about the look honey. Okay, if you have read my title, you already know my new hair obsession. Yes, girl tape ends. Hair extensions have been very popular for decades, just not in the black community due to our love of protective hairstyles, as well as our well understood fear of glue in our hair. So, after making part two of all the hairstyles, i recommend, besides the lace frontals. I was like you know what i want to try something new okay, i am tired. Okay, we're gon na have a little rant. I am tired, i'm tired of taking my wig off and having them jailbird braids i've seen acon every time. I feel that song on a different level every time i take that wig off at night. Ladies, i can't do it no more. I want to wear my hair. I need to feel my hair, i like to feel my scalp, and i just couldn't do it with it. I could i'm sorry so. The hair i ended up buying was two bundles of kinky, straight hair from from hair plus base. I personally will not buy from them again. I'M just going to be honest with you guys, because i am going to send you the link, because if it's your first time trying tape ins, you might love it because of the price um. It cost me about 120 bucks for two bundles. You will need two for forehead. I have 18 inches and i'm not gon na get it for a couple reasons. One. The hair is um more of a like brazilian yaki type texture. So it's not straight at all. It'S not even a kinky straight, i had to blow it out and then straighten it, and it does not strain well. As you know, i live in south florida, so i need the hair to be able to stay straight as well as curl. For me, the hair does not curl as well as i would like it. After 20, 30 minutes, my curls seem to fall, so i will probably not buy from the side again, especially because i reached out to customer service a few times, because i didn't get a tracking number when the hair was shipped it just literally just showed up. I'M happy i tried them, though, because i love my hair. I love it. Like i said i didn't get a tracking number. I tried to call them. I tried to email them nothing. I got nothing so i fell for. Ladies. If you want to try something new and you want to do a kinky straight hair, this is the best place that i found for this price point. Of course, if you want to do straight, hair there's a whole bunch of different websites, i'm going to get more into the tips later, but, as you know me, i always do like a kinky yakky type straight hair, because my hair is natural. After a few days. My hair will start to curl back up and i don't need to have some silky straight hair. I'M gon na have to press my hair out every day and we all know that causes damage to your hair. So i avoid that by getting a hair texture, which is the yaki that is a little bit thicker than my hair when it's straightened out, and so it lasts so much longer without me having to flat iron it. However, the tape is themselves: oh, honey. Oh oh, honey. Oh this oreo, it's a permanent oreo girl. I'M double stuffed! I am double stuffed uh! I i love this happens. I'M not going back we're gon na see if i'm ball headed in another few weeks, but if i'm not i'm not going back. Okay. Okay, so what are takens and what is the process? Tape bins are very similar to like clip-ins, but instead of clipping the extension individually to your head, you'll be taping, it you'll start off sectioning your hair in a very small piece. You put the tape underneath and then you'll put another tape on top of that piece and then you'll sandwich your hair in between it, however, make sure you don't get too close to your roots, but you want to get it as close as possible to your roots Without being too close to your roots, if it sounds super easy, it's because it is, it took me about 30 to 45 minutes to do that 20 times around my head. So let's go ahead and get to the pros, because there are a lot of them. The first pros, obviously, is very versatile. Okay, you can wear your hair in so many different ways, any different way like it's honestly, just like your hair, but with more hair. So you can wear your hair in absolutely any style that you can think of probably other than french braids. The second pro is how natural it looks. Okay, it looks like it could absolutely be my real hair. You guys should see me, so you guys know it's not, but you got ta know i got a little some in there, but for the most part, people think it's my real hair, especially because, as you know, i like to do a kinky straight hair. So it's giving black girl it's giving the black girl that should have been next to cher and clueless okay, it's giving bougie it's giving lux it's giving life it's giving life it's giving life ah. Moving on the third thing is i love how natural i treat it. I wrap my hair just how i would normally wrap my hair. You know in a full circle, then i put my scarf on. I treat it like my real hair, i wash it like my real hair. Everything is like your real hair says: it's the closest thing. You get to probably been on bonds, i would say, because you absolutely treat it like your real hair in every way, this might sound corny, but it's an amazing manifesting tool. This is another reason why i like to wear my hair kinky straight, because if my hair grew this thick, it would look like this. You know it wouldn't look like that super silky brazilian hair, because that's not who i am and that's not what's gon na grow out my head: okay, especially living in south of florida. Okay, it's humid, it's very humid here, so it's so nice to see my hair. Like this, and it motivates me to stay on my hair routine and just grow my hair and drink my water and take my vitamins and just remember that i can absolutely get my hair to exactly this and of course i can manifest it. The next prowess are very reusable that you can reuse them up to three to four times if you get really high-end ones, i'm not sure if i'm gon na reuse this or if it's even able to be reusable. So i don't know about these. I'M really gon na try hard to find a website that sells kinky straight tape is my next pro is that you can make your own tape, ins, okay, you can definitely we're gon na talk about it, a little bit more in tips, but you can definitely make Your own tape, ins uh, my next pro - is probably my biggest difference. That i noticed is that it's so light on your head, like after putting in freaking 20 of these things, i was just like. I'M not you know my neck felt lighter because you know when you have your um frontals, your head just be feeling so heavy, even when you rock clip-ins, which is what i normally would rock until i found tape bands your head feels so heavy and those clamps On your scalp is so annoying feeling you know i put up with it, but it's so annoying feeling. So after putting in all the extensions in my head, it feels so light uh, i love them. The next thing is that they're so easy to put on it's very simple: you make a section, you put a piece underneath and then you put another piece on top and by the boom bang. Another thing i love about them is that they're easy to take out. They'Re super easy to take out. You get some alcohol, you spray them. They'Ll come right out, don't force it. Let them come out naturally, and then you get some oil or you can just go ahead and wash your hair, but do like a deep treatment. So you can get all the tape out and the sticky stuff and you wash your hair. It'S super easy, the last pro that i can just think of right now, because i'm sure there's more, i forgot, is they last up to six weeks. So it's a style! That'S going to last you a minute: it's not going to be done after a couple days. It'S going to last you six weeks and even with these, which i'm surprised they still holding up girl. I'M surprised, yeah, you get what you pay for, even with these they're. Definitely holding up and it's it's going on two and a half weeks, so i can't be happier right now. The first con is not a protective style. I know i know. I know we like our hair in jail braids - i just i just i i just i girl right now. You go on top of youtube and you can find other hair influencers talk about how they grew their hair without protective hairstyles. So it exists. You don't always have to have your hair braided to the back like tasha from season six of power. Okay, you can have different hairstyles as well. You know you can grow your hair, i'm not gon na get into hair. There'S a couple things. I'M not gon na talk about this channel. I'M not gon na talk too much about growing hair for sea hair. Oh ain't! Nobody got time for that ain't. Nobody got time for that um and, as you know, i don't talk about too much about dating you. Don'T date the day, whoever you want to date, you already know who i'mma date, but they, whoever you want to date. Okay, because ain't, nobody got time for that drama either. All i'm gon na say is yes, there are black women who are growing their hair without having it braided their whole life, and this is something from a black girl who is exhausted. Okay, i, as you know, i'm nigerian, so you know i was in the african shops with three people braiding my hair. At the same time, i'm tired, okay, i'm tired, i'm tired, okay, so no it's not a protective hairstyle. My hair has not seemed too damaged. Yet, let's just give it another four to six weeks see what's going on, but it's not a protective hairstyle, but you can do a semi kind of protective hairstyle and always wear your hair in a bun, but we're gon na get more to that in the tips. If you do not put them in correctly, the tape will show, if you do not put it in an area of your hair, where you have enough hair to cover it over all you. What someone will see is a white piece of tape, sticking out your head. I mean, of course, it's clear, but it's going to look white. So that's all people are going to see it's. It'S embarrassing. It is. I was doing my hair right and i was annoyed by something and i was yanking through my hair, because because we know better than to yank through our hair, when we're upset. But i was doing it and i was combing through and because these things get tangled too okay, so i was coming through and my hair went shh and i was like [ Applause. ]. Okay, so don't be like me, do not rank through your head, because all i saw was all my hair sticking up sticking up out the other side of the band and girl my hair, my head was pounding, so it was very clear that this ripped out of My head and my last con is hair breakage and that's because you're installing it yourself, if you decide to install it yourself, we're going to get more on that in the tips. If you decide to install it yourself, you have to make sure that you don't have any hair caught, because when you go through your hair, you might break a hair strand that was caught in the tape. Does that make sense? And then also when it comes to hair breakage, if you don't get a hair texture that is close to your natural hair, texture straighten or not or curly or kinky, whatever you will be flat ironing your hair, a lot, and if you do you already know, that Is prone for hair breakage, so it's two things you have to make sure that when you're doing the tape ends, none of the other sections are getting caught to prevent this con or you have to make sure that you're getting something. That'S close to your natural hair. Texture, so here are some of my tips. If you decide to try out tape ins, you need to either get them professionally installed or you should be okay, if you don't get them to the best point on your first time, but, like i said, if you get them professionally installed, you would avoid a lot Of the cons that i already listed watch ladies, who have also installed them themselves, my next tip will be to start in the back then start in the front then go to the middle, because the worst thing that can happen is you're not having enough tracks in The back or in the front, my next tip would be if your hair is not long in the front on the sides. Maybe you should put some clip-ins on the sides instead and why. I say that is if you are going to be switching up hairstyles when you wear your hair straight down. Obviously, no one's going to see the tape but, like i keep saying once you put that hair in a ponytail you're more than likely going to have tape showing on the side, because when you're wearing it down, you put that tape there. So it can look more full. So when you put your hair up, that tape is showing right there. Unless you have a lot of hair on the sides that are long, maybe you should consider wearing clip-ins instead and then, of course, when you put your hair up, you can just take the clip-ins out. So then, your hair still has that flat appearance on the side opposed to you, obviously seeing the tape, i'm going to say it again and again and again and again and again make sure it matches your natural hair texture, hey. Maybe you have 4a 4b. 4C hair. You can't really find a curl pattern that matches your hair texture. You can't find any tape. Ins you can make your own tape in my next tip is to make sure you're putting it in a brick manner and not in a layer on top of layer. On top of layer, my next tip is to start wide and then go in and fill in sections. That'S missing. The last thing you want to do is run out of pieces. So start with the back. Add some sections skip to the front. Add some more sections? Go in the middle, add the necessary sections and then from there say, okay, i need to add a piece here. I need to add a piece there. I need to add a piece here. I need to add a piece there. My next tip is to be patient with yourself, while taking them out. This is how a lot of girls go ball headed now. If you see a couple strands of hair come out, understand that's normal, because your hair normally sheds so be gentle with your hair and let it let the process take. However, long that it takes. My next tip is: don't go crazy with the heat like, i said, treat this hair like your real hair and what i normally do with my real hair is i wear low maintenance, hairstyles such as buns and ponytails, but i mainly do buns um, usually high buns Or low buns, but most of the time throughout the week i'm doing buns, especially because i'm at the gym as well so treat your extensions. The same way only really wear your hair out when you're going somewhere. Okay, but for the most part, understand that your hair is not being protected at the moment, so do low maintenance, hairstyles and the last time. For the thousand time this video go a little kinkier than your naturally straight hair, and you want to do this because, when your hair starts to poof up, you don't want to always feel like you need to make sure the textures match. However, if your hair is straighter than the kinkier hair, as long as it doesn't have the little ripples, that's what i really don't like about this hair is that it has the ripple still and they won't come out, and my hair does not ripple, especially if it Doesn'T have the ripples your hair will poof up to the same texture of the hair, that's already in your head, so for the most part, you won't feel the need to flat iron it as much. So, ladies, these are my tips for my new hair obsession. Of course, i will let you guys know what's going on in another month, i'll probably just go ahead and put in the comment section or the description box, but i'll also put all the information, all the videos i watch, so you can do your hair so much Better than i did until next time, ladies stay open-minded, stay, natural and, of course, as always, stay golden bye. You

Ada Rose - Glow Up Pro: ONE-MONTH UPDATE! So, I simply love my tape-ins. It is definitely my new go-to. However, since my hair is curly, I do take them out when I deep condition my hair (every 2 weeks) Trying to wash, blow out & straighten my hair with the tape-ins in is not impossible, but not for me. I'm sure a professional can do it with no problem. I don't mind taking them out and putting them back in since the process is SO easy. Don't freak out if they get wet. After 24 hours they will be just as "tacky/sticky" as day one. Make sure your hair is completely dry. Also, my hair is THRIVING with my tape-ins. Since my "protective hairstyle" is buns and braided ponytails. (I do the "baggy method" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmkK12jcJho&t=195s twice a week) I'm still looking for some really kinky straight tape-ins, but I may end up making my own. For ladies who have curly hair and want to wear it but it's not long enough, would definitely love tape-ins. IT'S SOOOO NATURAL LOOKING!

Alexis Shelley: Tape ins are good but not summer time friendly or ocean water friendly. I purchased 3 bundles and only used 2 sadly. The versatility is awesome and worth it if you’re willing to install them yourself. I did kinky curly and it blended perfectly

Shauna F: Nothing like some good extensions to fool the world! I'm completely with you on these looks. I love my clip ins. Your hair looks great!

Amani Eats: My flatiron is my protective hairstyle. I don’t have to manipulate it more than once a week when I flatiron it, and all of my edges and curls are in tact. My hair grows very fast. I can have a bob in January and be past the shoulders by December.
