Hey guys welcome back today's video is going to be about tape and hair extension. To give you guys a little bit of background of my hair, I wear hair extensions primarily because my hair's thin, but that's not the main reason. The main reason is for length, though my hair is probably too here, but the sides of my hair in the front do not grow as fast as the back of my hair, and I think the reason is because everybody does more to the front of their hair. Around their face, then they do the side. I know I do I'm straightening it more. I'M just styling it more in general, so I think for me. That'S why the front and sides of my hair do not grow as fast they're like to here, where I supposed to rest of my hair. It says there so I've been wearing clip in hair extensions, I'd, say about a decade now or even longer than that, and I never thought that I would see a day where I didn't wear clip in hair extensions. So I figured you know, I'm like you know what, let's just try out tape in hair extensions and see what they are about. Basically, what tape and hair extensions are, and I'm going to show you these are from the last set that I had in my head. They are little pieces of hair they're very, very thin, and they have tape right here. Tape that looks like this is applied right here, and you take two pieces at a time and there's a very like a very thin thin, thin layer of your hair. It goes in between and you sandwich the two sides that have the tape on the hair right at the root and that's how they stay they're, so lightweight and you can you can't even tell that they're in there in your head, which is what I love. Well. One of the reasons why I love them so much because with clip-ins I have like balls well they're very little, bald spots from where the clips were in my head from so many years of wearing them. And how many times have you had clip in hair extensions? Where they're itchy or you it's hurting you or yours, having issues with it, you don't feel like anything with these I mean when you first get them done. You do ply them at the root, because obviously your hair grows out so the first couple of days. It might feel just a little bit tight, but nothing that would bother me so again, like that's one of the pros of it, but it's so lightweight and it's so thin. The price of it can vary. You can get them literally anywhere. You can buy them as Sally beauties. You can buy them online, you can buy them. You can buy them from your hairdresser if they carry him there. What I did I did a lot of research. I actually and I couldn't believe it purchased mine on Amazon. I found a seller and I read a lot of reviews and I think I you know saw some reviews on YouTube as well from the seller on Amazon, so I decided to try them out and the hair is great. So I will leave a link down below of where I purchased my my tapings from, but each pack was 42 dollars, which is pretty cheap and each pack comes with 20 pieces, so it's gon na be. If I can separate these, these are a hot mess right now it's gon na come each pack comes with 20 pieces of these now it might not seem like a lot of hair, but I'm gon na tell you right now. That is so the first time I got them done. I just wanted to try them out. I just did the size of my head, which is one pack a couple weeks ago. I went and got my hair redone and I got my whole had done and that was two packs or 40 pieces total. So for most people, it's gon na be two to three packs of hair to cover the full head. For me, the perfect amount is two packs for 40 pieces, and so that's like what $ 84 for hair extensions for my whole head. I know I've paid a crap ton more for clip-in hair extensions, so that's a really reasonable price, so application cuz, I'm looking at a sheet of paper of all the subject area. Subject points that I want to cover. I kind of explained that already, but basically what you do and I actually taught myself how to do it like in case like one fell out, because you know toward like I don't know toward the end of like two months. I would notice one or two would fall out and it would primarily be around my face area, but it wasn't like anything like, oh, my god, the rest of them stayed in and they weren't going anywhere but anyways. So what you do is you just take like the thinnest amount of hair and and I'm not gon na ruin my hair right now, I'm just gon na try to describe it to you guys you take like the thinnest amount of hair like so so thin, like Not thick at all and what you're gon na do you want to do it angle? You don't want to do it straight like this or straight like that, you want to do it more at an angle hold on. I got to like make sure I'm like describing this right. You want to do it more at like an angle like that, so that when you wear your hair back, it doesn't like tug in the wrong way, because if you were to just put it straight and you try to put your hair back and what at work. So that's how you do it and there's tons of videos on how to apply these. So obviously, don't go by what I'm saying just watch all the videos on how to apply it, because that's kind of how I learned how to do it and it took my hairdresser - maybe 20 minutes to do my whole head. So that's what's great about it, because I know if you get different types of extensions, it can take like a couple hours or over an hour. So that's another great thing: it's quick and easy, and that's awesome because time is money. Well, no times have money, but I don't want to be sitting in a chair for like three hours getting like you know, I think, like the bonded ones they take forever. So I'm not interested in that. So these are time saver, not only their. Are they a time saver when you're going to the Sun and getting them applied, but this has like changed? I mean I guess, let's, yes, it has changed my life and actually it's funny because I told my husband this one day. I was thinking about it. I'M like Paris engines like might be one of the greatest inventions like ever for a girl but um. No, this really has because every day I have to take my hair extensions section, my hair off flip them in and it might not be clipped in right or it might feel weird and that can be pretty time-consuming. And then you got a style it and it just. It was very time-consuming and never really bothered me because it'd be just just became part of my daily routine. But when I started over to tape ins, I really realized how much time this saved me getting ready and it's amazing they're in your head, they're not going anywhere and it saved me so much time so much time. It'S not even funny like, if you're looking to consolidate your get ready routine like get to your hair extensions cuz, I'm not joking, and the other thing I will mention. That'S kind of funny is like, and I know probably all your going to do it. I would just take my clippings out and just put them on my bathroom dresser and when we were selling our town last year. Doing a showing, I forgot to put my off extensions away, and I just left them out and people are kind of like what is going on like what is all that hair. So I've actually bagged up all my tape in hair, extensions and they're in a drawer. Over there there's no hair extensions laying around randomly in my house anymore because they're all in my head. So that's another great thing. So let's get into maintenance and care and I'm going to try to cover everything that I can think about for this. So the maintenance in care - it's not really too tough. I try especially by the tape and though I've really cut down how much I wash my hair. So I wash my hair about two times a week like no, I don't enjoy it, but they say that the less you wash your hair, it's better, but I tried to do two to three times a week more so it seems like it's like every three days. I'Ve been going so like yeah every three days, but you can use shampoo in the shower. You can use shampoo, you can wash your hair normal with shampoo, but when it comes to conditioner, you just want to do your ends. That'S it. You do not want to get any conditioner near. You know where the tapings work like, where the tape in general, because that can loosen them up. So you know just be careful when it comes to conditioner and just really try to just keep it at the ends, and you know also be careful even with shampoo or just when you're styling or whatever, when your hair is wet. Just be careful around here because, like I said, I did notice the last time that you know they do. If they're gon na fall out, they do tend to fall out closer to the face. It was only like one or two pieces and again it's so easy to apply that it didn't really bother me the rest of them weren't going anywhere. So next is when your hair is wet and you get out of the shower. You want to take a brush and you want to start well. First, you want to put um like I've been using the miracle or it's a 10 miracle, leave-in hair treatment. You want to put you want to treat this like it's real hair. I mean it is real hair, but you want to treat it like. It'S your hair as well, because you want to last longer so I put on the it's a 10 miracle, leave-in treatment. You can put whatever hair truth, you want, you want to get something, that's going to protect it from heat, and you want to also get something that's going to detangle it, because these can get these can get tingly. So after you can apply that you want to just take the brush start at the end and work your way up, because I did make the mistake once when my hair was wet of yanking it and it did kind of like ripped some of my hair out. But it was fine, it wasn't like a big deal, so you just want to be very careful, particularly when your hair is wet and washed start at the bottom work. Your way up, so you're not tugging at your head and that's really it for maintenance and care. That'S it like, I can't think of anything else again, just be careful when you're in the shower and even like products that you might put on like hairspray is fine, but just anything oily, don't get it close to your scalp, where the tape ends are, and then Next, so this is gon na lead me into my last point: is how long they last so these can last. I want to say definitely two months, if not longer so when I when I was telling you guys the first time I tried about was like two and a half months ago. I just did the sides of my hair, and I told you how I was just having issues with like one or two pieces in the front, so I wanted to take them all out and just buy two packs to have my hairdresser put a full head in. So it took me about a half hour to get the rest of them out. They weren't going anywhere and they were in for two months. So that is why, with these, I am keeping them in as long as they last so these could last three months. Four months, five months or even longer, but the best part about it, you guys is that if they fell out, all you do is get tape and you reapply them as long as you're taking care of your hair extensions they're going to last. So, even if they fall out, you don't need to go, buy new hair. Unless it's like really bad, you can just buy tape and reapply it. So that's the other great thing about tape and hair extensions, so they can last you a really long time. They just grow out with your hair, so I'm gon na try to keep these in as long as I possibly can, and that's it like it's just so great it's so like time time-saving it's just. I can't even tell you have them in, and I absolutely love them and I'm just trying to think, oh and if you are trying to take them, because I was trying to take them out for my hair appointment. I wanted to have you know what I didn't want. I didn't want to have my hairdresser spend extra time taking them out, you can use any kind of like oily hair product. I was using the camera, you know the camera mist spray mists. I can run platinum spray mist, it's very oily, anything, that's like really oily, you couldn't like spray it and then just kind of like try to like you know, rub the oil on the tape and get it really loose, and you can kind of like truck try To tug at it or try to rip it open and get it off that way, and that should work any kind of oily product and then the other thing I will mention is that when you are say a piece does come out or when you are going To take them out, you you're gon, na you're gon na be like, and I know, you're PI not gon na see it like right now, when I do this, but you're gon na be like um. Oh, my god, like I see my hair and the cuticles like, is this ripping my hair out, and I thought that too at first, but think about how much hair you shed in one err not one day. Well, when one day like, I think it's like what 50 100 strands, I could be wrong, but you shed so these were in my hair for like two months and that's your hair shedding. It'S not you know, so it's a natural process. So the great thing about these is that they don't they're not damaging to your hair at all and the clippings yeah like they were definitely a better alternative and other types of hair extensions. But it was just like it was so irritating to my scalp that I didn't like it. You want to wear your hair up. You got to flip them down the other way and I have some pulp sputnik right here from the clippings from wearing them from so on. So these don't irritate your scalp at all. That'S what I love about them! I just want to mention about the tape. This tape came with the extensions, but I wouldn't recommend buying tape from Sally beauties, no offense of Sally beauties, because I love selling nudie but their tape that they sell. I believe it's like satin strands is the brand. It'S thinks so I just wouldn't recommend that if you were looking to buy tape, is it for this video? I hope this was helpful to you.
