Hair Extensions: Full Head Of I-Link Micro Ring Extensions!

Hello my loves! In todays video, I will be showing how I apply a full head of Hair Extensions! Hair Extensions are truly my favorite service of all time. They offer clients an array of options including adding fullness, adding crazy fun colors, and adding length. In this video, I explain the benefits of using the I-Link Extensions and why I prefer them over alternate extension types. They extensions being used in this video were purchased from Donna Bella Hair Extensions, and are secured using Silicone Beads. I tried to answer all the questions I was able to think up- but if I have missed any, please feel free to comment below! Hello, my love's, it is Danielle and I am back again with another hair video. Today we are going to go over how I do one of my most favorite hair services, and that is a full head of hair extensions in today's video. I am using the eye link, hair extensions by Donna Bella, and I will show you a step-by-step tutorial on how I do a full head of hair extensions I'll also be explaining in full detail why I use this particular type of hair extension. The benefits of using it, what to discuss in your consultation and look for in your clients, hair and I'll, be sharing all of my most secret tips and tricks. So, if you're ready for a full head of extension transformation, let's get started. So here are the tools that I use in order to complete a full set of hair extensions, most importantly being the set of pliers and the bead applicator tool. So I decided to set the mood a little bit because I'm doing hair on one of my very best friends from college tonight, so we're just gon na have some wine and make it a girls night. Okay. So, let's get on to the extensions here are the bundles of extensions. They come with about 20 strands of hair in each I recommend getting between 4 and 5 bundles, so the next step is sectioning. Sectioning is absolutely critical when it comes to hair extensions, you have to ensure that your lines are clean and that there are no baby hairs interfering if baby hairs get in the way it becomes painful for your client, because pieces are being pulled into the extension that Should not be there so clean, partings and clipping those baby hairs back are very important. Now each individual extension is secured onto the hair by using a metal bead that has a lining of silicone on the inside. This silicone prevents any slippage and it keeps the extension locked into place on the hair now. Finding your parting is super important. The reason why I parted that piece of hair to the left is because you don't want to put the extension superficial to where it will be noticeable. So by going inward about an inch, an inch and a half, that's going to hide the bead from being seen. Now I just slip the bead onto my applicator and I'm sliding the bead up and pulling the hair through looping it to the top, and then I'm going to insert the extension into the bead. It is absolutely critical to ensure that the piece of hair that you're taking from your clients head, is they right with and that it's not too thin, which will allow the extension to eventually slip and slide down, but that it's not too thick that it doesn't allow. The hair to go through and the extension to fit into the bead. You also must ensure that the bead is not secured too close to the scalp, because if it is as it grows out, it's going to start pulling and it's going to be lifting from its natural position. You have to ensure that the hair is falling naturally and then clipping the bead onto that part. So you want to just make sure that there is room between the scalp and where you're securing the bead and now that our first row is done. You could see where Megan's natural hair ends and the extension begins. So the island hair extensions are my most preferred permanent type of hair extension because they're the most comfortable for my client and the least damaging in my opinion, most of the time the client does not even feel the type of extension in their hair. They don't even know it just feels super natural compared to years ago, when the eye Link wasn't on the market yet, and the only way to do extensions was to cornrow a very tight braid and then sew the weave into that I've had them. They were very uncomfortable, painful cause, headaches itchy. I just find that this type of extension is so much more workable with the clients, lifestyle and comfortable. It feels like the clients own hair. They don't even know that the extensions are in. I have been trained in alternate types of extensions. Like I said I did the Stowe ends. I also have been trained in the keratin where it is. Actually the bond is a keratin bond which is heated up, melted and then formed to the hair. I do find that they are difficult to remove while they do last a bit longer than the eyelid extensions. I find that they're a bit more damaging. It'S just my own personal opinion, so I like the beads much more than any other type of alternative extension with proper maintenance. I find that the bead I link extensions that I am doing on Megan lasts around two, and a half to three months could be a little bit longer just depending on how they are maintained. I find that, just because of the natural growth of the hair, every three months is probably the recommended time to come and get them moved up. So now, let's talk about the consultation when you are giving that to your client for a set of hair extensions. Some people are just better candidates than others and with extensions I do find that if the hair is past, the shoulders does have layers. That'S more of a favorable situation for putting extensions in it can't be done with shorter hair. It'S just a little bit more difficult and it requires more packs of extensions in order to make sure there are no gaps and that each part of the hair is being filled properly. Megan is a perfect candidate. Her hair is long. She has layers, and the blend is wonderful, because it's very hard to tell where her natural hair ends and the extension begins. So, for me, that's an ideal candidate. Now, extensions, as we know, are not just for adding length. Extensions can be used for a number of things. They can be used to add color if you're afraid to actually dye your hair. You can purchase extensions dye, those extensions or buy the color that you are looking for. So you can add some funky vivid colors without damaging your actual hair. Another reason is because I have a client who feels that her hair is thinning so rather than doing it for length we're just doing it for the volume, and it really does make a wonderful difference. My client feels like she has her natural hair back and that's just a great feeling, knowing that you're able to help somebody and give them back that confidence and just really have them feeling their best version of their self. So another thing to note is that once you remove the hair from the package, it comes in you'll notice that it's very, very thin and straight, and the reason for that is because the hair is treated and, as you can see, the hair on the bottom of Megan'S extensions, it's a little bit thinner than the top. So in washing the extensions a couple of times, I'd say after 2 to 3 washes you do notice that the extension begins to thicken up. So I'm always sure to inform my client of that that as they wash it a couple of times, it will start to thicken and expand and that's ideal, because it starts to look more like the natural hair that is on your clients head now. You may be wondering why I don't have the client just wash the set of extensions and then bring it so that it's nice and thick and mirrors their hair a little bit better. The reasoning for that is because it is hard to do that on your own. To wash a set of extensions for a hairdresser is even a little bit of a difficult thing, and you have to ensure that you don't tangle the hair that the hair doesn't fall from the rest of the pack. And it's it's not an easy process to do so. I just suggest putting the extensions in and then having the client wash them, maybe twice in a row in order to thicken the hair up. So I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but I am using a different insertion tool. It'S just a matter of preference. I'D like to switch back and forth the other tool that I use is more of a Topsy tail loop like tool that pulls the hair. Through this, one has a little clasp that you're able to close and just pull the bead onto the hair with no particular reason. I just like to switch it up every now and then so. Last but not least, let's discuss the duration of time that it takes for this service. I would give a rough estimate that any extension job ranges between 3 hours and 5 hours. So while it is on one of the longer sides of timing for services, I find it to be the most rewarding because, usually by the end of it, your client is so happy. And it's just such a huge transformation and by far the most enjoyable one from myself and as you can see, Meghan's extensions are actually perfectly blended to her hair. We actually went with the ombre type of extension, which started out from a medium to dark brown and blended into a lighter brown color I mean it couldn't have matched any better if we possibly tried. So we were extremely happy with the outcome of mecca's extensions and she absolutely loved them and funny enough. Megan was actually traveling a few weeks after I did her extensions and was worried about the metal detector being set off at the airport, and she was my guinea pig and they did not set off the metal detector. So we are good to go so, as you can see, the bottom of Megan's hair will thicken up as she begins to wash it, but the blend is really gorgeous as of right now. So now that we have reached the end of this process, it is time to cut my beautiful friends locks. I would say this is the most important step in the whole process, because if you cut too much hair off, there's no way of getting it back and you just want to be careful to cut very modestly, and this step is all about getting the perfect blend Between the extension and your clients hair, so this video was actually taken about three months ago and in the process. I have moved to Megan's extensions up because of her regrowth and she absolutely could not love the extensions, more Megan Moore, clip-in extensions for the past two years and finally got tired of taking them in and out and wanted something more permanent. So she could not have been more happy with the end result, absolutely love them and will be coming back to get them redone for a very, very long time. Her extensions right now, she'd last her for a couple of years. I have been using mine for years and my other clients have only had to buy a couple of new packs here and there, because they do last a very long time so now to just finish off the look. Megan usually wears her hair with curls in it. So I'm going to throw in a couple and finish off this beautiful extension transformation. Now I just run my fingers through that hair. Given a little fluff and there we have it a full head of I link extension. I hope you guys love the end result. Thank you so much for watching. Please don't forget to head on over to both comments. Give me a like subscribe and let me know what you guys think and if you have any questions about the extension process, please be sure to leave them in the comments below thanks guys, bye,

skwerlywrath: I have been licensed for 25+ and got bored of doing hair many moons ago. In the last few weeks the idea of doing extensions appeals to me. Your video was excellent and is really pushing me behind the chair. Thank you madame!

Roselane Siler: Thank you for showing us the process. I've been considering some extensions but was afraid of the care and wear/tear on my real hair. You've given me so much more information and now I feel confident that I can add volume to my hair without damaging what little I do have. What should I look for in a salon or person who does extension?

Jenn C: Hi there, these extensions look awesome! I love the way they looks so natural. What does it cost to do this?

Brandi Andersen: GREAT JOB!!! I LOVE THE WAY YOU TEACH TOO! I AM BACK IN THE GAME AND AM A BRAND NEW (COSMETOLOGIST FOR ALMOST 19 YEARS) BRAND AMBASSADOR FOR DREAMCATCHERS HAIR EXTENSIONS, SO I AM JUST REFRESHING IN EVERYTHING I CAN!!

Denisse Aldana: I love how you are so interactive with people who watch your videos, so genuine!!!

INES Castillo: I love your video where did you get your Tools to apply the The cylinders? What brand are they? Thank you so much in avance

Kiersten Howell: Oh my lanta I absolutely loved the results! I had extensions for about 6 weeks and after about a week they really started to bother my head and cause itching. Idk if it was because of the kind of extensions my stylist used or what. I've been wanting to get them done again but I'm nervous because i dont want the itching to happen again, but I also dont want my hair extensions I have now to go to waist. Do you have any recommendations?

Jim Krambeer: When you brush or comb the hair do the teeth get caught on the bead holding the extension in place? Her hair looks beautiful!!!

Bonita Taylor: From now on, you don’t have to wait long time for hair growth and *Beequeenhair* will provide quality extensions for you. We offers *28 inch straight hair weave* and women having less and thin hair aren’t worried about their fashionable look.

Sarah Wallace: In recent modern life, many people choose to have short hair because it is more convenient for them in daily work. But, there are still moments that a dream of medium and soft hair suddenly appears in their mind, especially for big events. So, let *Beequeenhair* help you. With *16 inch hair extensions* , you can own mid-length gorgeous hair in just some minutes and become a main character in luxurious events.

Katsem: Very informative. I think you said it will take 3- 5 hours to place new extensions. How much time for moving them up every three months? And did I understand it right that after 2 years entirely new extensions need to be put in? Thanks.

Sandra Cunningham: Hello your work is amazing.. Very informative. I was wondering where I could go to get training done for myself?

Kimi Chartrand: Danielle Lisa, can you possibly post a video on how to remove this type of extensions? Also, you said something about needing to “move them up” when it’s time for redo. Can you elaborate a little more on that? Thank you sooo much!!

Stevie Beeks: Great application! Very neat and tidy.. although i think you needed another couple packs of hair and to add more in front of her face as hair didn't blend very well with her own and double drawn hair would of given an even thickness from tip to bottom on extensions.. but other than that great colour blend and application!!

KATE BARTH: hi, your video is much better than any others i’ve seen where did you get the tools to do this? i’ve seen some on amazon but haven’t seen great reviews! also do you place the extension above or below your section of hair? and lastly, i heard you said you use two different kinds of tools. what are they? i’m trying to find the best priced one :)

Sarah Olney: I've never had hair extensions, I'm almost certain you'd be able to see these beads because I can always see them on my friends who get them and they all have much thicker hair than I do. I wish you could get these without the beads being so noticeable.

robyn wornoff: Best video! Just one question, how far apart should you part each layer as you go up? I have a rare thyroid disease which has left my hair about shoulder length and thin. My hair just won't grow. I haven't had to get a hair cut in over 7 years.

Holly Gamble: You're great at what you do! ❤️

Ms. Manrique: Hi Daniella! Wonderful video and easy to follow. I was laughing at the wine comment you put in the video. I am trying this on my sister! Thank you so very much!

Domonique Prince: I love your work ! How many strands did you use in this clients hair?

CanIHaveYourCupcake: I wash my hair a lot and have cut my hair about a month and a half ago, and I’m really missing my long hair. I guess what two of my main concerns would be them poking into my scalp and how the extensions affect the washing process of my hair..

Julie’s Style Adventures: Love your video. Can you explain what products are needed for proper maintenance? Or is there a difference in how they should wash their hair vs without extensions?

Diana Manotti: Hello. Thanks for the video. One question, have you experience any hair loss with your extensions? I want to try them for the fist time but I am afraid of the extensions pulling on my roots and loosing hair when I take them out.

Rebecca M: You are a very sweet person! Very nice job. Will you please do a video of when they grow out basically, how you move them back up?

Kat Balzer: How often do you need to take these out to move them up? Great video!

Andersson G: Can you do a video on how to remove and re-apply them?❤️

Vera Floyd: Hi great informative video. Thanks for making it. Can I get these kind of extensions if I bleach my hair?( From dark brown to blonde...its been years I've been doing this process) Thank

JERICA EJERCITO MYERS: Hi Danielle! You did such an awesome job in putting hair extensions! Looks so natural! Loved it! I’d like to have hair extensions and wondering if I could see you. Where are you located?

Sammie Mitchell: Hi Danielle, how far up the head do you need to go? Your video was so helpful :) thank you

K H: A few years ago, I was diagnosed psoriatic arthritis, after having psoriasis all of my life. I'm only 30, but it causes my hair to grow very slowly. I don't highlight it, dye it, straighten it much, and only use sulfate free/natural hair products. I treat it like I need to,, trim it when it needs it, and it STILL won't grow!! I can get maybe half a foot per year, if that, have been growing my hair for almost 7 years, and it only reaches to halfway down my back, more medium length . I've thought about this doing these extensions for a long time, and this is one of the best hands on tutorials that I've seen. Definitely got a new subscriber! as I'm the family hair dresser, with no pay or training. This has always been a passion, and I can feel the love you have for this. Thank you for this video!!!

Luisa Mota: Wow! Beautiful! Great job!

Tamela Hart: extremely informative video. The BEST one out there!!! thank you

Iliana Diaz: Beautiful beautiful job. Excellent!

minnue: Congrats!! It's been one of the best application! Keep doing well! How much hair do you think I need for a full-hair with thin hair? Thanks you help me a lot! :)

Katherine Benton: I love doing these extensions on clients. The bead color should match the root color so they are less noticeable.

Martian Moon: Can u use extensions on very frizzy curly hair? If so could you please suggest a great place I can get some? I have extremely thin frizzy hair and am losing it all the time. I would love some thickness. Thank you!! Love your tutorial!

Priscilla Graves: I'd like to see how you add the extensions from underneath slowly.

Lpg 8: Wow you did a great job and very informational. I am contemplating getting these just not sure if I could stand them.

Nicki Jaycox: My question is, how much does this service cost? I’m really interested in getting my hair done. Thank you ☺️

S. A: My hair extension course has been cancelled but I’m still practicing, how much hair do I let down after I’ve finished one row , is it a lot or enough to cover ??? Thanks

hayley bender: hey! I have been looking into getting certified for something like this, where would you recommend I take a course and how was the overall process?

Hillary Cullup: Hello! Great detailed video! I am a experienced hairstylist also. Question: can you do extensions on yourself? The beaded as used in this video.

North Caroline: Beautiful job! Where did you go to train for this? Im a hair stylist and I really want to learn and grow in the industry. I would even love to get some extensions myself!

Maddie Madding: Wow that’s beautiful

Rebecca Salyers: They look fantastic!

WWG1WGA 11:11 TikTok: I wish you would have given a very detail view of how the bead is applied to the tool & a slow mo view of how you get the bead from the tool into the hair...From my p o v I just see this bead get applied but can't see how it got there.

Candice Chruscial: Great Lengths Extension certified since 2002... Keratin bonds are definitely not damaging they take more skill the removal take finesse and patience and should only ever be removed by the professional... there extremely breathable and long lasting and completely light and undetectable! Making them my only choice for severe thinning and damage even chemotherapy survivors! Lets just be careful as hairstylist not to feel the need to discount another service to play up the ones we do! I have to do so much damage control during consultation’s... based on misinformation! Ty..Nice I tip install

Phoenix Scott: What is the width between your horizontal partings?

Carrie Ann Moser: I am looking for a second career change I'm interested in doing hair extensions do you suggest going to college or learning by your tutorials

Elizabeth Maclure: Hi. How much space should be left between each layer of extensions?

Desssy Bee: This video was very informative! My question is: Is this hairstyle easily removed, and would it be a good option for someone who likes to change their hair often? Also do you host actual classes for this , and if so where are they located?
