Hi curlfriends welcome back to my channel outrageous curls where we get the curls popping and we keep it popping and look at my curls popping [ Laughter ] and i hope your curls are popping too in today's video i'll be showing how i got my curls looking Defined healthy and shiny, using the living proof, curl collection keep watching to see more first things. First, i wash my curls using the living proof. Curl shampoo, this shampoo is sulfate and silicone free, which is great at cleansing without stripping any of my natural oils. I found this shampoo made, my curls feel soft and it helps improve the curl definition of my curls too. I then followed up with the living proof curl conditioner. This is also sulfate, free and silicone free. I use this to help moisturize my curls, as they have been dry recently and needed that extra, loving care, and i took my time to detangle my curls in the shower with this conditioner and it made it a lot easier. Then i followed up with the shea moisture, coconut hibiscus, curl and shine hair mask. I was gumsmat to have come across this product, as i did not know they have this hair mask in the range. It is great at moisturizing, my curls and adding that extra curl definition. I left this product in my hair for about two to three hours and the styling cream i used was living proof, curl, elongator, you'll notice. It has highlighted on the product what hair type. This is great, for my hair is curly coily, so i have a mix of some type 3 curls, but my hair is mainly type 4, so if you have similar curls or tighter curls than me, this is perfect for you. I was also drawn to the word. Elongator, as i want that bit more length with my curls for this curly hair, routine and the final product i'll be using, is this living proof curl, defining gel? This is great for all curly hair types, wavy, curly and coily. You guys will see soon how amazing this gel is so after i've rinsed out the deep conditioner i wrapped my curls in a microfiber towel. I left this on my head for about five to ten minutes, so my curls are damp for the styling process and, as always, i divide my hair into four sections and, as i go along i'll divide this again into sub sections. This is because i find it more manageable this way to ensure i'm moisturizing every hair strand. I recommend doing this for all hair types. This is to ensure you're moisturizing your hair thoroughly, because it's so easy to miss, especially if you've got fine hair as well. You don't want to be overloading too much and then vice versa for thick hair. You don't want to be missing sections either, so i'm going to be applying the living proof. Curl elongated to my hair first and the product is quite a similar size to the shea moisture curl enhancements movie. So this will last me a long time and again, like i said before it states what hair type this is great for, and it also has the image of it as well, and, as you can see, the consistency of the product, it looks quite thick, which is Great and the smell the product is really nice, it has a nice sweet flowery carbon smell, and this is the amount i'll be using on this section of my hair. You do not need a lot for this product as a little goes a long way and look at how well it is defining my curls and it's already adding shine to my curls. I also found it is quite easy to finger detangle with this product. As you can see, i am so impressed with how well it has defined my curls already with the curling cream alone, but you guys know me. I am going to be greedy and work on that curl definition by following up with the living proof curl defining gel. I like this product, has a pump and a lot comes out for one pump. So if you have fine curls, you will only need one pump of gel for each section, but if you have thick hair like mine, it'll be good for you to do two pumps and again the small. The product is very similar to the curl elongator you'll notice. I am not finger detangling at this stage using the gel, because i prefer to smooth the gel through my curls to help with that curl definition and it helps keep the curls thick. Looking at this stage and like look at that - yes, i am living for these curls they are coming through, but what i'm going to be doing is once my curls are 100 dry. I will fluff out the curls and separate them a bit more as i go along, because i found this way i get the best. Curl definition results for my curls. It took me a little while to realize this techniques worked quite well for my curls, so you guys can give this a go and see how it works for your curls, but bear in mind. We'Ve all got different curly hair types and our hair responds so differently. Based on our techniques, so just try and figure out what works best for you and once you've figured it out just stick with it, as your curls will respond. So well to that, and then i repeat, the same technique throughout my entire head. Now that shine is something else i am so happy with how well my curls are responding to this hair product. My curls feel so moisturized and they look so shiny and healthy. At this stage i always use extra gel at the front of my curls, so i did about three pumps um at the front part of my curls, as i find this is the hardest to define and keep defined for as long as possible during this process, especially Like the left side of my curls, like that side seems to be frizzy for some reason compared to the rest of my curls comment below if you're having the same thing as well. At the moment, i don't know if it's just this winter period that that section just seems to get randomly frizzy, because if you've seen any of my curly hair videos during the summertime, i got those curls really defined. Well. So i'm not sure if my hair responds very differently during the summer season and the winter season i'll have to see what happens during the springtime and keep monitoring it and let you guys know - and there we go curlfriends all done and look at that hair length. I'Ve never realized how much my hair has grown in this past year and look at that definition as well. I am loving how my curls look here as they look so healthy and defined and shiny as it is winter. I'M going to let my curls air dry for about an hour and then i'm going to follow up with a diffuser to dry, my curls when i use the diffuser, i use the medium heat and the highest speed setting. But when i get closer to my roots, i do change this to the lowest heat and the lowest speed setting. I do have a video available on my channel. I have linked it above here for you guys to check out where i do a comparing contrast for air drying and diffusing during the winter times. I'D prefer to diffuse my curls, as i prefer, to have my curls dry as quickly as possible. When i let my curls air dry for about an hour, it takes about 20 minutes, or so for my curls to be a hundred percent dry um. When i use a diffuser, i have recently found out doing it this way. For me personally, the results that i get for my curls is a lot better compared to just drying it straight away from when it's been wet, because it's allowing my curls time to just soak in the product and get the moisture into my curls and voila curl. Friends - and that is it look at that curl definition. I am so impressed with how shiny and healthy and moisturized my curls feel and look, and they feel so soft as well from using the living proof hair products - i am loving it and that hair shrinkage. I am so happy with that as well, because it's not too extreme it's just right for me and i do love having shrinkage, because it reminds me of how healthy my curls are comment below your thoughts on the living proof.
