Tape In Hair Extensions | Everything You Need To Know!

Us hey: what's up everyone, my name is Laura, and today we are going to talk all about taken care and I was going to do the video and the first time around, but I figured it'd be a time that we're helpful to do it. The second time I've had a lot of experience with other people's hair. On my head, I got my hair done in Vancouver British Columbia by serán a bride at her salon. To give you guys a little breakdown of this video, I'm just going to talk a little bit about my experience and then we're going to hit up Runa hit up to register we're going to go into a vlog and, at the very end, i'ma show you guys How about this hairstyle, which is kind of my go-to hairstyle, while I've had two pins and so how it works with JP extensions? Is you obviously get them installed important step and then about six to eight weeks later? You will get them a retake up, and the nice thing about tape is, is you can use the hair over and over again? As for the upkeep of the hair extensions that you are supposed to brush them every day and I've actually sounded having teeth extensions to be fairly easy upkeep, I know before I got them and I think the reason I didn't get them for so long was a. I thought they were expensive, which they're actually not at all and B. I just thought it'd be kind of annoying to have all this extra hair to deal with every day. But for me it's been totally great. I would HIGHLY highly recommend doing them if you're thinking about it and you'll definitely want to make sure to find someone who has done taping extensions before and knows how to properly apply them, because that is key and you can actually wear your hair in a ponytail. As well but sir, we'll talk a little bit about that once we get to the vlog section and you guys are probably wondering where I got my hair extensions from so I had a Hampton Hall and read reviews and everything before I got my extensions and I Ended up blending on Bombay hair extensions, so I got the 22 inch in ash blonde. Obviously these were custom dyed. I had been extremely happy with the quality of these. I brush my hair really hard. When I do because I was usually not brush my hair. That often so I did have some knots in it and literally no hair fell out. So I don't recommend these. If you guys are thinking about getting extensions and they have the whole nine yards, they have tape ins, they have clip ins, I think they have soand. You can just go to their website. I will answer them and now we're going to get onto the blog, so you can see how we achieve all of this. I get on everything, bagel double toasted, with plain cream cheese; okay guys. So I'm headed off right now to get my hair done, which is really exciting because well, my hair is like a time of a mess just because I was obviously in Asia and my normal, like hair care, routine, wasn't really up to par, and I forgot my Purple shampoo too, which sucks so my hair is like pretty yellow, so this vlog you're seeing is obviously you're watching on my main channel. So we are just removing the tape from the extensions and we're just going to do a little bit of a renewal. What'S awesome about taping extensions is that they can last you up to a year if you're taking care of them, so we're just switching up, so they can be all fresh for you. Oh ok guys. So this is the final just kidding it's not so we just took the extensions out, I'm actually going to move my car right now, but this is what my hair looks like without any extensions or we haven't dyed it. Yet it's pretty short, but it's cute. It'S funky, I like it um, but we are going back to a long hair and ask you a few questions, so we can tell the viewers more about hair extensions. So what would you say your favorite type of hair extension is, I wouldn't say I personally have a favorite type of hair extensions, but I would say that it really depends on what the client comes in with. So if you're committing your hairs a little bit more on the damaged side, maybe you have a pastel hair. Then I would probably not recommend tapings because it's glue bonded, so I'd probably recommend clipping extensions. Are the best option for you or if you came in you have really healthy hair. I would think that you know what tape ends are the best option, but it really depends on price point too, because tapings are a little bit more expensive to upkeep and clip ends. Are super easy, but convenience of having to put them in everyday? Not a lot of clients do like them, I'm in SoCal, so obviously I'm getting tape in extensions. What do you say like there's the pros and cons of tape and extensions? Well, I think the obvious. The pros is that you know they get to stay in and that you know you get to wash it it's just like your real hair, the cons of it. Obviously, it's glue bonded, so sometimes it can be a little bit damaging. Everyone asks. The biggest question is: is it really damaging? I think any form of extension is obviously going to be damaging a little bit. Even clip is, if you sleep on them, they pull on the hair and they tend a little bit, but with tape ends. If you are getting them professionally done, it's super important and your hairstylist should be able to do them in a way that you're not going to lose as much hair. Are there any myths about tape, ends that aren't actually true? Well, if you have really thin hair. Obviously, you can show them a little bit, but also, if you've really thin hair. You don't really need to put a lot in, but it's really depends on the way they are put in a lot of times, if they're, putting in a way where you can see them, which is pretty often sometimes I notice when people come in, to get me To correct their tape and extensions, but it really is like a certain pattern that you have to put it put them in and then you can put them in ponytails, hi buds. Anything! You want awesome thanks. I have all my things in and I'm looking a bit insane right now, issues like scissors on my hands and the and rinses your hand just can see the streaks through here. As you can see, it's a really even color, all throat, which is nice, no job. All right anything to add, sir no, it looks great. I love it. So I'd asked a question on my Instagram. You honestly just treat them like your regular hair. They do not slip if the application is in done right if they put a lot of oils in your hair before putting the tape in they might slip. But if they're done right, they don't flip and every six to eight weeks you just get them redone so guys. This is the final hair. Look on it, it's so pretty! What I'd like to do is just take a section from just behind my ear and then I will twist that all the way to the back and then, while holding on to the other piece, I will twist the other side, can be a little bit tricky and Then I will just tie it with an elastic in the back and then I take another section just beside my ear and I do a fishtail braid all the way down. If you guys don't know how to do a fishtail, braid, there's a lot of tutorials online, but basically you just take one piece from one side and move it to the other is hard your hair supposed to be smoking or joking.
