Hey guys welcome to my channel um or welcome back if you are returning. So if you follow any of my other socials, my tic tac, my instagram, my snap, you would see that i've been rocking. These inches got its inches because i have naturally really short hair. I have a piece right here. I kind of pulled out so it'd be easy to show you. This is the length of my hair, naturally, okay, um - and i achieved this balayage moment right here. This little 18 inch, balayage realness with my favorite um extension brand. Amazing beauty, i have used them in the past. I'Ve done a few videos with them all my tape, ins um. I guess no, because i've done tapings with a couple of their brands as well, just like my own purchase, but this is the one. I'Ve worked with continuously um. They actually gave me a coupon code. I'Ll put it right here, so you guys can use it to save some money on your purchase, but they're actually affordable and bottom, because every time i do a video with any type of partnership or anything like that. I want to make sure it's something i would buy. Okay, so like i've done zala videos um installing my own solar, talking about them or reviewing them, but i didn't endorse them or work with them, because they're really expensive right, and so it's not realistic. I wouldn't buy them multiple times in a year. You know what i mean, but amazing beauty is pretty good and it's for the price that you're gon na get it for awesome and the tape itself that comes with these if they're installed properly are so bomb. Okay, so i waited to do this video after a few weeks to show you guys how they look even after a couple weeks, um of being in now, there's like a loose curl in there right now, nothing like consistent or like super cute hold on. I got a bump back here, though. Let me hide that, but this is what it looks like um they're a little bit grown out now, like the actual tapes itself. Let me find one. I got one right up top right here. As you can see, the tape itself is a little bit grown out now, um, which is like my favorite when they're a little bit grown out, because then like hairstyles, updos and stuff aren't as like tight, because when they're freshly installed, i don't like to do updos Until like a week out just because it tugs at the root just a little bit, but if you have watched any of my older videos, i have like a technique of installing my tape in so i'm going to insert a quick clip of me installing them. So you guys can see how i do it and i'm going to put that in right here looks smacked. I know i know that, and this mirror my vanity. This is like where my makeup is done. It'S not usually taped to the wall like this. I taped it to the wall, so i can see in the mirror behind me as well, but i'm gon na show you guys how i install my tape ins while i'm looking crazy. So it's just give me a little clip. Okay, the windows open because it's like i need some air in here, but i'm gon na show you guys how so i can show you like this. My hair is parted. You see how i have it parted now i have done some other layers. The goal is that when i put my hair up like this, you won't be able to see any so see how right now you can't see any. That is the ultimate goal. So i'm going to show you guys how i do this. You see how i have my hair parted right now, keep in mind i'm looking in this here, but this mirror is pointing at this mirror behind me as well. Um, again, it's got makeup all over it. Please ignore that, but um. What i do is out of this part, i'm going to take a really thin section of hair. You see how small okay! This is a little bit too small. Okay, i'm going to take a really thin section of hair, just like this see. So this is like my piece: i'm going to stick my extension onto my comb just like this, so it's right on the rat tail and i'm going to go right up to the root, not like literally touching, because you want to pull your hair up without hurting. But i'm going to go lined up right next to the other hair extension. Then i'm going to let the hair fall press it down. Okay, just like that, then it's not finished yet you have to sandwich on top. So now i take the other extension piece. Okay, this part, you have to try to get it exactly lined up, or else you're going to have just exposed tape, sticking to everything in your hair. So you see, i put it in and i try to make sure it's all lined up just like this. Okay, then, the last step is, i take a hot straightener and i quickly just squeeze the tapes in between not for long i'm not trying to like singe it, and then i just squeeze the tape. Okay, so don't tug on it yet because that heat just made the glue like malleable, but that is what it'll look like once it's in okay, so, as you can see, the tapes are pretty like not very detectable um, there's like a crease because of the straightener, But it's really cool, and so then i always make sure i can pull up still with each piece. Nothing'S uncomfortable and you can't see anything, that's the most important part. So i'm going to put all the information kind of right here on the screen, because i have my phone with me to read exactly what color i got what length i got um. So i'm just going to set this on the side right about here. But when you purchase your extensions, you get in this little box, they always come in this box and they come with a little like accessories that go with it. So these are extra tapes right. I have three bags of extra tapes, obviously, because i got three packs of the 18 inch extensions and that's how many ideas you per pack of the tape and you're going to get 20 individual tapes right. But you really have to cut that in half, because one extension is two stuck together: two tabs so really you're going to get ten extensions per pack. So i like to use about three or four packs based off the thickness of my hair um, because i like them to be a little bit more thick - and i also have pretty blunt like my hair - is cut really blunt. So the thicker - you kind of make your hair extensions, the less visible that line that blunt line is going to be um. I actually did a style with them straight and they weren't super noticeable or as noticeable as i thought they would be, but definitely curling waving. Doing any type of texture in your hair kind of also conceals, if you have different layers kind of in your hair in the box, you're going to get like this little clip that helps with you know: straightening styling, your hair you're going to get a rat tail Home i have like a bajillion of these because i have literally done so many amazing beauty, reviews and hair extension videos. The extra tapes like i said, and then you just get a thank you card with some care instructions um on how to install basically what's got their little social media stuff on the back. But that is everything you get into in the box itself. Um and, like i said like, i literally, would not tell you to purchase something that i didn't actually like, but i will say if you are installing tapens for the first time by yourself. Take your time. Okay, it is so easy to like rush it and want to like be done and see what you look like when you're done, but you don't want to do that because you want them to last as long as you can um so either take your timer. Have someone help you with the back, where you can't see really? Well, i remember the first time i installed my tape ins like back in like 2015. I hurried and it slipped out really fast and stuff, because i didn't do the placement well and i didn't really care about how much hair was in between each one. Here, i'm saying so. You have to be really careful, meticulous and the more time you put into actually installing them and being precise and making sure that there's only a little bit of hair in between the two tapes just enough to hold them together, but also not like, like a tiny Hair, where it's going to fall out, you know what i mean you have to kind of have that sweet spot, and if you do that, then they will last, i think the longest i had my amazing beauty tape. Ins before was two months. I believe that was like the longest. Eventually, your hair begins to grow out and you can remove them, put new tape on them and reuse them. Okay, if you take really good care of your tapens, you can reuse them up to like three four times like honestly. Um they're gon na last. You know what i mean so that takes me into my next subject, which is the care for your tape ins. So this is gon na be the most important part, obviously, because they're permanent hair extensions, um they're gon na be in your hair, you're gon na wake up looking cute with your inches, because there's give and takes right tape, ins um! You get to look cute. All the time waking up going to sleep, you know what i mean um, it's more of like a on the go type of thing, just like lash extensions, but you don't have that beauty of like taking your extensions out scratching your scalp, like with with like clip-ins, That you do um same with, like peeling off eyelashes at the end of the night, rubbing your natural lashes um. So there is always that right, you do have to get used to the feeling, but they lay flat. Even though, when you go like this, you can feel them where they're at they lay flat like you cannot see them um i mean. Obviously you have to be really careful. I have again really short blunt hair, so i had to bring my tapes all the way up to, like my part right here, um, because i wanted to make sure that there wasn't like a distinct difference of where my bangs, like these hairs, were and where the Tape in started, so i wanted to be like a gradient with, like you know, layers and stuff, but you have to be meticulous of where you put them, how you put them in and that type of deal okay. So the second thing i want to tell you is: when you're installing them, you don't want to make them too far away from the root, but you also don't want to make them so close to the root that you can't like lift them up and down. So, every time i kind of pinch my hair extension closed, i make sure that i can like move it in any direction. I want so that if i want to wear an updo, i can wear it up too. You know what i mean um, i will say i'd like i said earlier in the video i don't wear updos like right away. I give my hair some time to get used to the weight of the hair extensions. I kind of let them grow out a little bit after like a week or two and then they're kind of more loose and mobile, and i can just move them around flip them up. Do that whole thing, because if you put your tape, ins in and then throw your hair up into a bun you'll feel there's like tugging a little bit and pulling um in certain places. So i'm a little bit careful with that. I don't want to lose any hair. You know you got to be really careful with uh. How and what styles you do right away when they're fresh, when you just put them in the next question. I always get, is madeline. How do you wash them? This is um. This is a great question because obviously they're extensions and they're taped in so you're not going to want any oils or anything to be touching the tape. So i would recommend getting a sulfate free shampoo. You can get sulfate free conditioner too. This one doesn't this isn't because i only put conditioner in like this bottom half of my hair. It doesn't even doesn't even reach up here, nope, no, no, no, no conditioner near the roots anywhere near the tape, because i don't want it to get slippery and slip out um, but sulfate free shampoo is going to help from breaking down the glue. That'S holding the tapes together so the way i do it, i only wash my hair on mondays mondays are hair wash day. I do once a week, but the way i do it is, i just get my scalp wet and then there's like the tapes are like in sections like this. So what i do is i just take my fingers and i just wash in between the sections right. I lift up the tape i get under the tape i wash between the sections. I flip my hair over in the shower and i make sure i'm getting under the tape just washing the whole scalp all together and then i'm really really really thorough. When i rinse it out, so i flip my head over to the side upside down. I rinse all the soap out and, like i said, i do condition because i want my ends to feel soft, especially because i use heat and stuff on them, and extensions aren't connected to your head. So they dry out quicker right, they're, just like having like a vine not attached to its like plant. You know what i mean, so they dry, they'll, dry out and they'll get damaged fast if you don't take care of them. So i use this damage. Remedy, coconut oil, coconut miracle oil, conditioner extra strength, it's by ogx, and i just do it on the bottom half of my hair, like from here down, i always runs with cold water at the end, because i feel like it makes my extensions look, shinier and healthier And i feel like it also for some reason like when i'm using hot water, i feel like it loosens my tapes. So then, when i use the cold water and that blast of cold water on my scalp kind of like solidifies them again, i don't know if there's any science behind that. But that's why i do that. Okay, now moving on to my leave-in conditioner, you can skip this step but, like i said, these get drier than like your natural hair would way faster. So i like to do a little bit of this leave-in conditioner. This is an argan natural. What'S the brand, this is the one i always get for torelli and my hair. He has curly hair, but this is super moisturizing. It'S just keratin leave-in, smoothing conditioner makes your hair literally look like a mirror, like so shiny, but i usually would just spray this all over my hair. No, no! No, not with my tape. It'S like. I said this is like a no-no zone. I don't even want to accidentally get any on my tapes, so i spray it into my hand. Oh my god, my hair is curly. I can't do it right now. Why do i do that? But then i just do this and i run it through and crunch. It up and run it through, and you know what i mean that whole thing until it's fully coated on my ends and now i have leaving conditioner on my hands ugh. Now the question of detangling, you can't just rip through your extensions. The way you rip through your hair, you shouldn't be rubbing through your hair either, but you have to use a special brush. Oh my god, there's hair in my brush. You have to use like one of these wet brushes like the detangler brushes that are like easily bendable and they're more. Like gentle. They also have specific extension brushes too, but if you're just going in with a comb or like a paddle brush and just ripping through you're gon na split ends and damage. You know i mean the ends and that's gon na make your hair extensions look whack and then they won't be as like susceptible to being reused. You know what i mean, so i just like you know what i mean start at the lengths and i work my way up and i work my way up. That type of thing, that's how i detangle my extensions um when you sleep, especially if you have short hair and you're, used to short hair because short hair is so easy. We all know how easy short hair is right. Um sleeping is a little bit different with your long hair or with your extensions specifically because you don't want your hair to get tangled any any way i could avoid tangling and then having to brush through and like rip up my ends as much as possible. Is the key okay? It'S a goat, so before bed i will braid my hair up. I like to use these little like velvety velour kind of soft. I also have satin ones, but i like will braid it and then you know, tie the ends or i will literally twist it up into a low bun and, like you know what i mean that type of deal just so that my ends are tucked away. I like that better um, but that keeps your hair from being. You know, tangly through the night rubbing on your pillows. I also have a satin pillowcase behind there. That'S also going to help kind of retain your curls if you curl your hair or use heat or anything like that, but yeah, then they obviously the usual stuff that you should just do on your natural hair anyway, using heat, protectant detangling, often washing your hair. Less than you usually do, i do once a week usually twice a week with my short hair, but now that i have the extensions - and i want my tapes to last - i do once a week if you can push longer do that too. But i can't because i think i start to get like head funk and stuff and i can like smell my hair but yeah. That is how i take care of my extensions. It'S not hard. Um tape. Ins are a lot more upkeep than say: clippings are they're gon na you know, i mean get damaged faster because you're wearing them all day and through the elements and clippings you take off at night and blah blah blah but um. If you take care of them properly, you can make them last so so long and also when you remove them, when you remove them, i might do a whole video on me removing these to show you. You have to take your time even more time than you took putting them in, because if you are impatient and you're ripping them out, you're going to lose hair you're going to damage your natural hair. But if you take your time, massage them out use coconut oil. Use remover, they come out. Oh there's a car rude. If you take your time taking them out and really you know what i mean devote a lot of time to doing it and being really really gentle and massaging them out, not just ripping them out. You won't lose any hair and there will be virtually no damage. You know what i mean. There is a way to put them in and there is a way to take them out and if you don't have the patience, because you need to devote like two hours to taking them out because you have to like just to take one out. It takes me like 10 minutes, because i literally, like so carefully kind of break down the glue and just slide it down the hair shaft until eventually just slides out, okay but yeah. That is how i put them in take care of them. That whole thing. I will do some update videos because i won't have these in for super duper long, i'm thinking, probably until like thanksgiving-ish time. I don't know my hair seems to be growing really really fast, so like at a quick rate, so i might take them out before then um and then we'll reinstall them at some point. But whenever i do take them out, i will film a removal video, because there is a whole process about removing them. You have to be really careful so that you don't damage your hair and all that stuff, but that is my tape and hair extension. Video um there'll be more to come. I have old ones in the past that have very detailed um descriptions of how i put them in and how i do this on the third. If you want to go watch those i'll put them at the end of the video, but that is it yeah, so use my coupon code and you can go get money off your hair extensions and look boujee and have your inches and your balayage and all that Stuff, you can achieve color if you have short hair and you want lighter ends or some type of ombre or balayage. You can do that with extensions without even dyeing your hair, which is super clutch like my hair, is light, but not as light as it's appearing, and that's because my hair extensions add a ton of dimension and color to my hair and make it look like my Balayage is lighter than it really is, which is really really cool, so yeah, i'm just talking. That was a lot to try to throw into a video. I didn't want it to be too long, but yeah. That is it for today's video. If you liked it make sure to give it a thumbs up subscribe down below, if you haven't already and hit that bell notification, so you can be notified every time. Sam: this is so informative! you are absolutely stunning girl!

Beauty by Shelby: Love it

KMars: I’m totally ordering some! Life is short ‍♀️

Lexie Rahja: Girrrlll, what kind of lashes are those?? They are stunninggg! As are you ☺️❤️ Also, your sweater is really pretty you need to start putting all the links in your description box! ❤️❤️

Teri Best: Do you like the Amazing Beauty extensions better than the Sassina ones? I have the Amazing Beauty now and have tried Full Shine in the past. I'm not sure if any of the other ones on Amazon are better than the Amazing Beauty ones. Yours look amazing by the way. I am still trying to get my placement right ad my hair is only a little bit past my shoulders.

Laura Babyy: Loveeeeeeeee the hair girl ❤️

Angela Bowman: I LOVE that sweater!

Marissa Montiel: I literally just purchased 3 packs of these 18 inch tape ins. The color was like 2 or something, they've been installed for about a week now and so far they are holding up well. But I'm wondering how long these exactly last you? I've noticed that they've grown out around the bottom (nape) area a little bit but not to bad. Im hoping they last me at least 2 months before I move them up and replace the tape. I have a couple questions if you could help a girl out lol. 1. How long do these typically last you? 2. Is it normal for them to kinda bend a tad on the end of the tape? (I've noticed some kind of bent) 3. Is it hard to remove yourself and place new tape on these? I plan on washing my hair for the 2nd time on Sunday and sticking to one wash a week. I actually washed my hair 72 hours after installing these tape ins just because I actually had to color my natural hair due to it being a shade or two lighter then the actual extension. So, I plan on washing only once a week.

Amanda Hensley: I didn’t see you’re installation video in your channel :(

KMars: How long will these last?

Morgan Loyd: omg what is that lip color!!? ❤️
