Welcome to my channel, if you are new here hello, my name is dyra. So in this video i am showing you how i apply my clients tape in extensions. So, as you just saw, i showed you the bottle of my love and health, which is my brand. The protect me serum now, what that's going to do is protect against the heat, give the hair shine and soften the hair. So ideally, well, i would say: it's not recommended to apply any product or even conditioner when you're applying tape extensions. However, i don't think that that is healthy for our hair, so i do things i should say my way, so i really applied the heat protectant on her ends, just because that is the weakest part of the hair strand. So i wanted to protect that and i did use conditioner. I just made sure that i rinsed it out all the way. So, as you can see, the first thing i'm doing is blow drying and straightening the hair. That'S just uh, you know the normal steps to do. Okay, so now that i've straightened her hair, as you can see, she does need a trim, so we've already discussed what needs to come off and what she wanted me to come off. So what you see me doing is a reflection of our conversation so um before i apply these tape extensions. I do have a conversation with my client and there's. You know questions that everyone has. So i'm just going to answer a few questions that i get all the time. So the first big question is: do they damage the hair? My thoughts on this is anything you do to your hair. That'S the not done properly will damage the hair. So to answer your that question in regards to the tape extensions, they can damage your hair if they are not installed properly. If there's pieces of hair still sticking out or the hair is not directly on the tape part themselves, they can pull um on the hair. So you definitely don't want that. That'S why you should go to someone that knows what they're doing so that you don't lose unnecessary hair. But apart from that, no they're safe, there is a solution that you use to spray on the tape: extensions when you're ready to take them off and what that does is loosen and dissolve the tape so that the extensions slide right off without damaging your hair. Alright, the next question i get asked is: how long do they last the hair itself lasts, um for a very long time, at least a year or more, it's all on how you take care of it if you're constantly applying heat to them, if you're not combing Them out, if you're not keeping the hair moisturized things like that, of course, they're not going to last as long as they would. If you did now. As far as the tape part goes that part you would have to redo, i would say, between six to 12 weeks, depending on the client. This this part is very personal, is not the word, but it's very catered to to this specific person. You'Re taking care of your tape, extensions and you're, taking care of your hair, they pretty much um can stay in for the long haul, but also um. There are things that can affect it that you have no control over. If you have just oily oily scalp oily hair um, they will not last as long because the natural oils of your hair will start to weaken the glue. So it really all depends on the person as far as taking care of them, you wash your hair, like you normally would but, of course, with textured hair. You would see two different patterns depending on the pattern that you choose these by the way come in all different textures, so you can cater them to the look that you want. She wanted the extensions to match her blow-dry texture. So that's the texture that she got but uh. What was i saying i lost my train of thought yeah, but no, they um, oh yeah. So when you um, when you wash them, if, like let's say you have uh curly hair and your hair is straight or you know, vice versa, of course, when you shampoo it, your natural hair will revert to its normal texture, but the the extensions um, depending on Which ones you get may or may not match, so it all depends on what your goal is. If you want to wear them, wet. Excuse me, a wet look: a wet stylie style, wet curly. Look lord! I can't even speak today. Basically, if you might have two different textures, but once you style it the way you intended them to be, you know everything will come back together. You just want to make sure that you don't use a conditioner or any oils around the root area, because that's where the tapes are. I know that that poses a problem for some people. Some people like to oil, those their scalp and things like that. So you have to make the decision if this is the right choice for you in situations like that um. What other questions do i get? How do you care for them? Um, like i said you shampoo, you condition it. You apply um the serum to the hair as well um and just you know, keep it moisturized applying any kind of product that you would like to use at the ends when they um. If they, you know, appear dry and the reason why i give these instructions for this kind of hair, because i do use uh raw hair tape, extensions and with raw hair, you have to treat it like it's your hair, so of course you would have to apply Product, if you use a virgin hair, um or other processed kind of hair, then of course you know you wouldn't have to do as much to it as you would with raw hair, but yeah you just you can wrap your hair. If they're applied correctly, you can wrap your hair with them. You can pin curl them. You can braid them out and bring take them out in the morning. Whatever you need to do to style it, how you want just how you would your natural hair and then the other question that i get is how many packs you would need in order to create the hairstyle you want. If your hair is short - and you want fullness - and you want length, you will need more hair and the reason for that is that the short hair has to be able to blend in. So you would need more hair to kind of hide your natural hair in it. This client has a three packs in because she wanted fullness and length now if your hair is longer - and you want it fullness, you would only need one pack if your hair is longer and you want it fullness and length, you would need two packs to make It natural and i would say three packs if you want it really really full so yeah guys. That'S my video on these tape. Extensions.
