Raw Lux By Lorin Kinky Straight Bundles And Tape-Ins Initial Review

Hello, you all welcome in or welcome back to my channel. You are watching paxi know, filter tv, my name is de la shante. I am your host and thank you for tuning. In um today, we will be reviewing raw luxe by lauren, which is a luxury hair company that caters to african-american women. However, they do have various textures of hair that i'm sure european women could could also enjoy. I have purchased. This is my second time purchasing from this company. The first time i used chaffins, i purchased tapens and i bought two 16 inch bundles. They came with 60 tapes per bundle and i had 20 bundles remaining. I enjoyed the hair so much that i went back for a second batch and this time i bought bundles instead of tapes. I wanted you to see the movement that um the hair still has um, but obviously i had a ponytail in the middle of the section of the hair so like it wouldn't move as much, especially with that bundle there, but i did bleach it myself. It is not recommended to bleach it yourself. I am not a hairstylist, i do not have any hair um expertise. I just do my own hair, but yeah, i'm a diyer anyway, so we're opening the box, and i noticed that this time it came with social media cards which it did not come with last time and it also came with a care card and a thank you Card which was really nice, the hair is not wrapped up in a net. However, it is wrapped up in tissue paper. The hair is protected. Um, it's not moving around. I don't believe it's jolting around in that box, but if that is a concern, if yours know it is not in a net or a silk wrapping, it's just in tissue paper, so that is the first bundle. I ordered a 24 and a 22.. Now that bundle was absolutely wow. It was dramatically long. I was actually shocked, like i've ordered a 24 before i've ordered a 26 before and my hair wasn't even that long like that hair touches my butt, i'm five, nine five, ten so yeah i was. I was mesmerized by it um on hold on. Oh that's long i'll be back. I was shocked, i'll be big i'll, be big, so i wanted to um use my tape measure to measure the hair to make sure that i was getting the proper inches and that 24 one was more like a 26. It was more like a 25 to 26. I'M not complaining hey, i got more money. I got more bang for my buck here, but like it was like a 24 20. It was like a 25 to 26 inches. That'S why i was so i was like. Ah i know my hair. I know i know 24 is not this long on me anyway, i'm in love, the hair is great. I still have to wash it. I still have to dye it, which we will be doing again today, but right now um. I just wanted you to see that i actually did get what i paid for, so i'm measuring each bundle for you right here. So after confirming that i got the the inches that i purchased. I wanted to make sure that the tape ins that i've previously purchased matched the wefted bundles that i purchased right here. They both are kinky straight texture um. I do have to mention that she does have 4a 4b 4c relaxed straight um. I think kinky course. Don'T quote me on that, but she has a variety of textures on her um of natural hair textures on her website too so definitely check her out, but my wash tape ins did match the texture of my unwashed bundles. So i already know that they're going to be good, they felt soft, they felt lustrous, they felt wonderful, they smelled good. They didn't come with a stench, i'm just i'm excited. So i'm going to be dyeing these bundles, i'm going gon na be dying them jet black, and you will be seeing that up next, okay, i just returned from this door. Um i bought some semi-permanent dyes to dye this hair. I do not want to use permanent dye because i'm also will be dyeing my natural hair, and i do not want that black dye to stain my hair forever, but i bought a blue black dye, a black satin dye and a smaller bottle of black satin dye. I'M going to be mixing these two together. I honestly don't know what color it's going to form, but i'm going to test it out before i put it into the hair, but in reality it's going to be black, so i just want my hair to be black. I, like the blue black, but i don't like it to be as vibrant so anyway, we're just mixing those two together and i'm going to be putting that in my natural hair as well, i'm using lukewarm water to saturate the hair first and then i will be Washing it so i'm using suave keratin, smoothing shampoo in order to wash this. I use this for my natural hair. It'S just shampoo, i'm really just using the shampoo that i have on hand um, i'm washing it with liquid and water um, i'm making sure to saturate. Both the roots to the tips now those are the tape ends. I'M not saturating the tape. Um. I'Ve heard that you could saturate the tape. I heard that you could dye the top of the tapes like at the top of the tapes on the other side of the tape. There is hair there. You can dye that part, i'm just not dyeing that part. I just i don't even want to mess with it, so i'm making sure to saturate the hair from root to tip. And if you look at the water, you notice that it's not coming out brown. There are other hair that i've purchased and i wash the hair before you know installing it and as i wash it, i get that brown tint that comes to the water, and i've said this on a previous video that i got brown tint that came with i'm, Not going to mention the name of the hair, but it came with another um braid that caters towards african american woman, hair, texture, specifically um, and that hair, i believe it claims to be unprocessed. And yet still the water came out with a brown tint, but that water is clear, the water that i'm using now. Well that i'm showing now it's clear and it's been clear on every bundle that i've used even after the shampoo even after i shampooed it. The water still showed up clear now. I honestly do not know i'm going to tell you this, because i honestly do want to give you more information about this hair. This hair is advertised to be raw. One donor, hair, um cuticles are aligned. That'S the reason why i purchased it is because it was raw hair and i wanted to be able to curl my hair and i wanted the hair. So i wanted the the curls to hold specifically um and raw hair tends to just be manipulated. Well, and it tends to be tangle free, it sheds less it honestly. Raw hair has a lot of pros and it does cause the only con that i can think of about purchasing raw hair is the price. Now the i bought two bundles, two relatively long, bundles a 24 and a 22, and i only paid 200, i believe yeah for yeah 200 200 for both bundles. That is a good deal. I'Ve also bought some raw hair in the past, and it was it averaged out to be like a hundred dollars per bundle now for both of those purchases. I did use the coupon. I did receive a coupon from this company because i'm a second time purchaser and then the first time that i purchased it here i received a 10 percent off coupon. This time i received a 20 off coupon, but either way like that's a good. That'S a pretty good deal like that's a stew right there, but i digress. The water is not tinted. It'S not brown. I didn't have a smell. The movement like the hair. It felt like butter as i was, even when it was saturated. It still felt like butter. So that's all i got you see. There was absolutely no tint now going off with something that i was saying earlier. Um this hair is advertised as unprocessed. Now i have no idea how they get the texture of hair that they do if the hair is unprocessed completely. I believe that nowadays, that unprocessed textured hair is equivalent to steam processing, which is a less harsh form of processing. It doesn't involve chemicals, so you know it doesn't really hurt the hair, it just kind of forms, the hair into the texture that you want it to be, it's a safer way of processing and it doesn't damage the hair in any way, but yeah it's advertised as Unprocessed but i believe that that is equivalent to steam process, but you know: do your own research? Okay, i dry the hair once you see the hair and it's washed all right, but you can see that's the same from the ends. The ends are not very cool. So the hair was the same texture from root to ends. It was the same width from root to inch, which just shows that they didn't really. You know they didn't scam you from some hair weight by giving you scraggly ass ins, um now most likely, i'm going to be shaving. My ends a little bit just to shape them a bit, but you know i want what i paid for so they already gave me an extra inch and a half and my 24 and you know turning into a 25, but they also didn't scare me by thinning The hair from thinning the hair down to the ends so yeah. So here i am testing the dye to make sure that you know it's. The color that i wanted and i'm going to show you that the difference between the satin black in the blue, black um and then also, i believe, i will be showing you the color of that i will be getting from you - know, mixing the two together. Now. Do not mind my little mixing bowl. Okay, i couldn't find my actual mixing bowl. I believe i threw it away because it had like hardened bleach on it, but okay, so that's the color right there, that's the color, we're going for which is just basically jet black. I could have just bought jet black, but anyway so don't mind my little mixing bowl. It is a macaroni bowl, but you know things have multiple purposes. Things have multiple uses and we reduce reuse and recycle over here. Okay, so that covergirl box, i'm not using any dye from the cover girl system today, but i am going to be using the gloves that are in that that package, so just not to confuse you just yeah, i'm using the dies that i showed you earlier. So i made sure that each die was mixed together, um properly. I i did a folding over method. I don't know if that part's important honestly, i just mixed that together um, but i will be using my hands to saturate the um, the bundles um. I will be just dipping my hands and dragging that die from the base of the extension to the ends. I will separate the inside of the extension into like two separate sections and make sure to get the internal parts of the bundles, i'm not separating them. I'M just keeping them, i mean i'm not separating like the bundles, i'm just keeping them in the same state of which it was shipped to me and um. This is my first time dying, my hair, but i'm dying black. So i can't really go wrong here. I can't really go wrong. The only way i could go wrong is if i didn't get every square inch of this bundle, and i tried desperately to do that. Um. I did not keep each and every segment of me um. Sorry, excuse me, i did not keep each and every second of me dying the bundles, because i felt like it was a very mundane, repetitive task. One thing i did do for a couple of bundles that i did not do for the last one is. I use a comb. I figured if i use the comb to drag the dye within, like in the innards of the bundle that i would you know, get a better um cover, i guess um, but that just produced tangles it produced tangles in the longest bundle, not in the shortest bundle. Um the 16 inch bottle. It didn't really have much effects to it. I do feel like it did, spread they die out more but yeah. So i just i'm coming in with the comb, but don't comment. If this is your first time dying, a bundle, just don't go me just you know, use your fingers and get in there do not use a comb because it just creates unnecessary tangles and you could have unnecessary rippage or breakage in your hair and you're going to Be upset so learn from my mistakes. Okay, so this is the hair. This is it um blow dry, wash then blow after it's been dyed, uh i'm gon na straighten it and then only never fix it. Just wait, no matter all right, yeah all right at 390.. Okay, so i actually ended up turning up my flat iron to 430, not that my hair wasn't being straightened with my iron at 390, but at 4 30 - i just i just it - got a faster job done at 4 30, so i just decided to turn it Up, however, i did like the results. Um. If you look at my hair, it's very shiny. It got very straight: it's not like a brazilian or a silky straight, it's very much a relaxed straight or a um, a natural hair pressed out straight. It still has a stiffness to it, but it still has body. So it's a thick, it's stiff, but not in a unattractive unsettling way. Now curling this hair um. I did have a couple of curls. I created a couple curls with my flat iron, but i have not used the curling iron to curl my hair and flat iron curling, i'm not the best at so um. You will see the curls in a in the later segment of this clip, but i didn't like them, so i ended up straightening my hair. However, i straightened my whole head and the it lasted my hair being straightened without like humidity attacking it. Well, if humidity did attack it just crinkled back up, but it wasn't like massive crinkles or anything. But my hair lasted straight for about three days and i put my hair up in a ponytail at night and put on a bonnet. But i sleep pretty well. So the bottom went off anyway, but i digress uh, my hair lasted about three days with after straightening it. So that's great. So this is it straight and straight and um i'm done. I don't really know what else i don't know what else to say. Sorry, i don't know what else to say. I don't know what else to do. I straightened it straight um. I didn't curl it, but these are my results and i'm honestly really happy with my results. I am going to add um photos or videos from my snapchat from my previous installation with the tapens from the same company. I expect the hair to react the same as i got the same texture and i purchased from the same company. So it should react. The same, but i will be adding curls to this hair as well on a later date. You can see that on my snapchat or most likely on a later video, please subscribe to my channel. Add me on snapchat chinatown, and i will see you later. Thank you for tuning in bye amazing, like what what what oh
