All right, y'all, just landed, got my bags, i'm about 30 minutes early from dre and all the other guys getting here. So i'm just gon na hang out on this bench. Wait for them to come. We got ta pack, the car full. I think we got a bunch of bags, a bunch of products stuff like that we're gon na head to the casino. I want y'all everybody's here, danny bean bossio justine waiting on dre to bring the car around. We got all these bags to fit in the car. Might be a tight ride and if you guys haven't seen this before we pile this thing crazy, sometimes i got ta sit in awkward spots. You know i'm like the low man, so we're gon na see how it turns out. From 28 billion went to 600 million yeah hyperinflation, the talk too many tokens. Thank you, sir, is all right. So we got up ate. Some breakfast went to the outlet mall a couple of guys needed an outfit for the grammys tonight. Now we're gon na go set up the booth. I don't want to show you guys too much today. We do have the grammys tonight, so i will show you guys, whatever i can from the grammys, not really my scene, but i'm gon na get dressed up. We'Re gon na go uh and then tomorrow is the show. So definitely the rest of the video will be mostly the grammys, real, quick and then the rest of the show. But let's go in here and find the booth get this thing set up and then we'll get to it. Hey, hey nice of you to join us. I thought i'd. Let you all do some work first, this time. Oh, we got the tape on the bars. Well, you always wear the same shoes, creamy boy, sean! Don'T call me that again, somehow you get his coffee, nothing but green. Like this all right, y'all, we pretty much set up almost done, moved it around like three or four times you guys already know. This is the first time we've had a booth, so this is a 10 by 30, so 30 feet long a little bit different than our normal setup, so we had to move it around a bunch of times, but we're pretty much done. Basically, in the morning when we come before the show opens, we will put all the product out so right now you guys can see no product but the stage the speakers, the tv uh, all the products in the back and we'll set that up tomorrow, um when We get here so and then the grammys are in about four hours, so we're going to get dressed up, take a shower, get ready for the grammys. We'Ll show you guys, some of that and then we'll get to the show. Tomorrow we headed to the grammys get up here: boys we going for two we're just going for one, i'm pretty sure, but buzzy love for the award we're heading that way. The second time, oh god, look at sharks. Y'All, never gon na see me like this again. This is my wedding suit. What'S up, let's go see if bozo can take it home, you know what i'm saying: that's all got your wifey with high heels. All back bob is a kind of a headache to deal with. To be honest right. They got a lot of egos, um and uh. You know i got my other barber shop at coney island, where i'm always at and uh. Basically, my whole life has been something around the barbershop man. The barbershop is the center of the community right. We know everything about everybody on every block we know. What'S going on. We can get you whatever you want, but listen right now. I want to introduce a very solid individual. My man, jay mason. You got everyone's [ __ ] dead right, but the [ __ ] guy that threw this event. Try that again honored to have you here my brother, really honestly uh, i'm happy! You all have a good sense of humor. It may lie to this situation. I don't know if i should be flattered that people wanted to win so bad or to be saddened that this happened to our industry. I created this event. This is the third grammy and you know i tried to highlight exceptional barbers from all over the world. You know for their accomplishments and it seems, like everybody, wants the spotlight by just doing their job. I can't do the oil change guy of the year. I can't do the dunkin donuts barista of the year like, if you're a barber, you're supposed to go, to go to work and cut hair. That'S your job! Don'T look for awards. Your rewards are from your clients sitting in your chair, and everyone in this room deserves a grammy just for handling with clients, sometimes especially ones with bad breath. But these awards are from barbers that sacrifice hundreds of hours away from their family year in year out that lose their luggage, that that missed lights, that misappointments that are late to baby showers that are late to baptisms, that you know that are constantly sacrificing the people That go the extra mile in this industry and listen. We signed up for this, but it's not as easy as we make it look on instagram because i don't share when i lose my luggage in vancouver. That was horrible. I had one pair of underwears for three days. I didn't go back, no, i had to go. I got ta go to walmart, so, although we couldn't prove who did that with the votes, the people that once we went to the next category, we blocked certain countries and the people that truly did win this category, i believe, deserves it and next year you guys Want to do this again next year, because i was gon na give up. I'M gon na lie it's a lot of work when we do this next year, we're gon na take extra precautions. We are honored to be here tonight to present the award for educator of the year. They have provided countless hours of education with educational instruction throughout online seminars and live video streaming, offering their knowledge and skilled experience to barbers and styles around and the nominees for educator of the year are educator of the year christopher daniel avila jesse luma of the year. Didn'T win, i included it. I didn't really want to film the rest. It was awkward super loud and uh man guys i don't get dressed up like this. I'Ve been walking around all day. My feet are killing me. They did a couple more awards, i'm not gon na stay for the party, so i'm gon na head upstairs and go ahead and get changed. I'M gon na go do a little game, but i'm gon na do a little some slots or something so um again guys we'll get to the show tomorrow. I'M gon na show you guys everything that i can show you guys some of the booth and some of the other boots and all that stuff, and so, let's get to it all right joe. We changed into something more comfortable. Let me go hit the slot machine. Last year i want 500, so i'm gon na try to do it again. We'Re gon na go downstairs and see what we can do all right, guys, i'm back to the room. So i was gon na film some stuff and, to be honest guys everywhere i was walking. I was getting stopped guys. This is absolutely crazy. I want to tell you guys that have met me at this show. Just a few years ago. I was the same as you. I was walking around the show wanting to meet all the people i looked up to, and so it's absolutely crazy to be. On the other end of that - and i appreciate it so much you guys - would say that i've impacted you through my channel, whether that made you start barber school or that you learned a lot from me whatever it is that you tell me, i just want you Guys to know that i appreciate it. That is why i do it. I still don't think i'm that cool i'm from owensboro kentucky small town, i'm blessed to have an opportunity to do what i do so super super crazy when you guys tell me that stuff, but i'm glad that it does that for you. But anyway i kept getting stopped guys. I grabbed some krispy kremes had a little snack. Now, i'm laying in bed watching ocean's 13.. I thought it was kind of fitting, since i'm at the casino, so i'm gon na go to bed. We got two days of the show left. We haven't even got into it yet so i need my rest guys, i'm getting old so anyway, i'll catch you guys tomorrow. I'M super super excited guys. It'S going to be dope. They actually were making air rollers they've, actually popularized the pistol grip blow dryer. So when you know when people were getting their hair dried under the it was the drive, but they actually drove the salon and they sold people to pistol, tires and changed the industry. So fabulous is a professional division of conair, okay um. This has also been around since the 16th, so is bayless really only barbering or is there other babies, so so there's obviously blow dryers and stuff like that cater to cosmetology and stuff, as well so in europe and france babel is pro, is actually the first electric Curling iron ever invented so just like tissues are universally called kleenex. You go over to you, uk or europe. Every curling iron is referred to as a beyblade wow, that's cool. I didn't know that that's awesome. It was brought to the us uh by conair in 1996, and we started on the path of making professional styling tools in the us yeah a little background for you guys. I didn't even know that so a lot of cool stuff guys when you come to shows like this - that's the kind of stuff when you shake hands - and i know dennis before today - but you always get to kind of find out some behind the scenes stuff.
